Came here for a Sunday lunch/brunch and enjoyed the unique menu and laid-back-yet-still nice ambiance. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Food was all very flavorful; it is nice to have a place with such a varied menu that everyone can get something to suit their taste while being different from what you would get at most restaurants these days. I had the Steak and Eggs and it was well cooked, seasoned, and presented. Parking - private lot

Great happy hour menu and choices. Parking can get a little sparse, but the food is great and so is the service. This is a pretty casual place but definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Unfortunately, we made it here on the last day this restaurant was open. I love the way they see arrangements were in the unique style of the booth seating. You were here for happy hour. We decided to choose free items off of the happy hour for samosas and Thai queso where our favorites I had the dragon fruit drink, which was delicious and reminded me of a version of lemonade. My Siblings ordered a drink that reminded them of limeade, but was also delicious. My sister chicken curry was presented in a different way than she's ever had it before. She wasn't the biggest fan of the crispy toppings, but she did say it was flavorful. I got to try my brother's meal, which was also delicious so I hate that I can't come back and get that meal! For mine, I had shrimp pad Thai wish it was spicier, but it was still good flavor overall. Service was OK hopefully they bring some of these items over to travelers table for us to try again.

all hands down best flavors and bang for buck at happy hour. Amazing food, great service and very reasonable prices. What a legacy Ty left behind We ordered roti canai , jerk chicken wings , Vietnamese lettuce wraps, Thai queso, Brazilian bread with flavored butter , pork with tostones! Beautifully executed flavors with great portions. Bittersweet to see it close , this being the last week of service.

Vietnamese iced coffee isn't strong enough. Too sweet without coffee bitterness to balance it out Kai soi: sweet tangy coconutty mild to medium spice. Bit too creamy for traditional kao soi. Butter chicken samosa: butter chicken sause is perfect. Samosa innards are a bit bland but the sauce is meant to be paired. Mild spice. Vibe is a bit dark for lunch but nice for a casual dinner setting. Service was great. Really appreciated the waitress who walked through a lot of the menu for us.

I enjoyed a Side of Roasted Beets (V) (GF) & Pandebono (V) (GF) with a glass of white. OMG! The first bite of curry! I squeezed the lime on the curry & of course it made it even more amazing! I sat at the bar and Ty took care of me. There was a full bar when I arrived, chill worldly atmosphere, & chill crowd.

I went here during lunch time and the happy hour is a pretty good deal. They had a combo where you can pick an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The atmosphere gives you a nice cozy feel of a "street food market" place. I thought this place had unique items on the menu. I tried the chicken pad Thai and it had a lot of flavor and was a good portion. I also tried the pandebona, which reminded me of a mochi donut. It was chewy and had cheese inside but the texture was soft. For the dessert portion I tried the sticky rice which honestly could've been better. I didn't get the authentic sweet coconut richness from it. I had the chewy texture but the flavor seemed more so thrown on top instead of an infused flavor. The last item I tried was the fish and chips. The fries were nice and crispy and the fish had a nice crunchy batter layer on the outside. It was good. The tried a few drinks and they were ok the pandan old fashion was unique and strong but honestly not for my taste. If you like old fashions this drink would probably be for you. I also tried the fast boat to Havana and that one was sweet and tasty (more for my palate). The service was ok I mean there wasn't any other people except for one other couple so I wouldn't expect anything less.

I had a wonderful experience at Traveler's Cart, and I'll definitely be back! This visit was on a weekday night, and overall the vibe was great. It truly feels like you're "traveling" through different cuisines, and that concept really comes through in both the menu and the atmosphere. Standout dishes: - Pandebono (5/5) - Butter Chicken Samosas (5/5) - Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings (5/5): nice kick, the sauces were especially good - Miso Ginger Salmon (5/5) - Khao Soi (5/5): Delicious and makes great leftovers - Pad Thai (5/5) - Pappardelle with Brisket Ragu (5/5) - Puerto Rican Carne Frita (4/5): Pork was tender and flavorful, but I've had better tostones - Mango sorbet (4/5): light and refreshing - Mango with purple sticky rice (4/5): fun and balanced - Chocolate toffee cake (5/5): This was the star for me. I'm not usually a chocolate dessert person, but this won me over. The cake was warm, soft, and rich, and the toffee took it to another level. My friend and I joked that we'd come back just for this alone, and honestly, we might. The only item I didn't love was the Thai tea. I've definitely had better elsewhere. Everything else was solid to excellent. Service was friendly, but a bit slow during my visit. It seemed like our server was handling multiple roles (including bar), but they seemed to balance things well enough. Despite that, the staff was kind and the experience still felt positive overall. Parking was pretty easy on a weekday. I was able to park in the front lot. There also appeared to be an additional overflow lot nearby (there's a sign), which is good to know since I can imagine it getting tighter on weekends. Overall, I have a great time and will definitely be back for more! I'm still thinking about those wings, the cheese bread, and that chocolate cake .

Came in on a rainy Friday around 2:30 pm. Parking was easy as there wasn't a lot of patrons at that time. It was pretty empty. I was greeted by all the staff. Happy hour if from 3-6pm Monday through Friday. I ordered the Puerto Rican Carnitas. That dish was bomb! Being a Caribbean girl, I give this dish 10 stars . The seasoning on the meat was just right. Super flavorful but not salty or overpowering. The meat was juicy and not dry. The tostones (fried plantain) were fried and pressed to perfection! I will come back for this dish! I also had the Fast Boat to Havana mojito. It is very sweet and mango forward. I could have used just a little more rum in it, but nice tropical drink.

We took our taste buds on a trip at Traveler's Cart. No passport needed! We started with the pande bono served warm with guava butter and the butter chicken samosas which were flaky, flavorful, and the perfect intro. For dinner mains, we ordered the Peruvian lomo saltado and the pappardelle with brisket ragu, both rich and hearty. We ended on a sweet note with the mango and purple sticky rice, and paired it all with Thai tea and their "Fast Boat to Havana" passion fruit mango mojito. I wish the Thai tea was just a little bit sweeter. Pro tip: their $18 Quick Layover Lunch is the move if you're stopping by midday. It's the perfect way to try a little bit of everything at a reasonable price.

Happy Hour really is happy. Mon-Fri 3-6pm. Drink deals and Food Specials. Service is friendly and answered all my questions. Server brought waters after I was seated. There is dinning indoors and outdoors. The Food: Thai Chili Queso - dining companion said it was very tasty Jerk Wings - perfectly cooked with lots of kick - dipping sauces were a nice accompaniment. If you like spice get these... it is 3 whole wings (flat, drum and tip) Falafel Bites - nice crisp on the outside and soft inside.. could use a hint more seasoning. Purple beet hummus definitely a good texture contrast. Vietnamese Beef Lettuce Wraps - delicious bites, savory, hint of sweet and satisfying. Butter Chicken Roti Wrap w fries - to me it ate a little dry... could have used a little more butter chicken sauce on the side Peri Peri Pulled Chicken Sandwich with fries- so good, moist and messy. Definitely try this. Fries were nice and crispy and the mayo-ketchup was tasty. Choose your eating adventure at Traveler's Cart.

I stopped by here for brunch the other weekend after a recommendation from a friend, and it did not disappoint! It definitely seemed a bit sleepy when I walked in, but the staff were very friendly once they spotted me and the server (who was also bartending) gave me some good recommendations. I did have my heart set on trying the Crab Okonomiyaki, which was completely worth it. It tasted like a way better version of crab cake, and I've had my share of crab cakes from Maryland. My only complaint would be for the prep staff to watch the shells, since I did bite into two little ones. I've also had the Hawaiian Mimosa, which sounded like a fun way to start my weekend. For my app, I went with the Roti Canai. I'd say that there are way better places for this one, sadly enough, but the flavor was okay. I'd need to stop by for dinner sometime to get a full feel for this place, although it's a bit of a drive, however the brunch experience was great and was worth a visit!

I went for Happy Hour on Tuesday, and it was such a good deal! The range of options is amazing, hence the name Traveler's Cart. Everything was so good and flavorful. You can tell they care about their menu, their flavor, and their presentation. The server was very kind and knowledgeable. The other staff also were very attentive even when I sat on the patio (such as pre-bussing and refilling waters). 5 Stars across the board. I will definitely have to try Traveler's Table next!

Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. And most nights they're open until 12am, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 2am If you order food online (technically from Hando's) you can get 10% off using code: HANDO10. This is part of their "Hando and Chill" special Cheers!!

It's located right at 19th St. and Shepherd near the light. There's a small angled parking lot that can be tight when people park along the fence. It looks like a cute tiny A-frame home with a few patio tables in the front. The inner area has about 6-7 high tables. It's nice and clean inside. The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.
