We started with the fried banana peppers. They were similar to fried pickles. I ordered the avocado smash and has browns. I was disappointed they no longer do the waffled hash browns. My husband got the fried chicken biscuit and grits. The grits were HORRIBLE. Super bland. Absolutely no flavor. The biscuits was great. So my assessment is their entrees are good but the sides suck. Our experience here for breakfast was mid at best. The service was very slow but they were busy and maybe short handed. Our food was barely warm when it arrived. We weren't impressed with the food. We went here for breakfast, expecting a diner atmosphere. And with a name as catchy as theirs, we were figuring this can't miss. Unfortunately they did. It is actually a very nice, clean upscale interior. However, the food could be better. The eggs and proteins were all overdone and the white plastic coffee cups had lipstick on two of them. I've been wanting to eat breakfast here for ages. I couldn't believe that we were able to get in without a wait. The trick is to show up before 9 AM! I think it probably helped that it was a rainy morning as well keeping people home. You have to get there early or plan on waiting outside. There was one loan waitress working the entire restaurant by herself until her coworker showed up. I felt terrible for her but yet she stayed so sweet and friendly regardless of what she had to do. (I didn't catch her name, she was a young. C strawberry blonde gal). The food was everything I could've dreamt of reading reviews and seeing pictures. We had the sloppy Joe skillet and Benedict biscuits. After seeing the food come out for other people I really wish I would've also tried the avocado smash and the chicken waffle tacos. They looked freaking amazing. The ambience was just as fun as I had hoped it would be as well. Loved the style and atmosphere. If you're staying in a hotel near Bay Street or River Street it's worth the five minute walk!! read more

When I was planning my trip to Savannah, one of the things I was most excited about was to try the food at Treylor Park....unfortunately, due to a number of reasons this experience was a big swing and miss. Let's start with location, pay attention to what location you're walking into. The Treylor Park empire has 2 locations, just a few blocks from one another. Turns out I was at TP- Double Wide, not the original TP. It was hard to tell as Double Wide and Treylor Park have very similar menus. Maybe that's where I went wrong. Too bad, the Double Wide experience turned me off to going back to try the original. On to the food. We ordered a few items for a little tasting menu. A caprese skillet, the biscuits and gravy and PB&J wings. Unfortunately, the lot was so disappointing that I wasn't motivated, to venture back to the Treylor Park empire. The skillet was just bland, the hashbrown base was rock solid and not hot. Just a "meh" dish. The biscuits and gravy was an odd experience. The gravy was quite tasty but the biscuit was rock solid. Like I could hit it with a fork and it was like banging it on a hunk of wood. When I brought this up to the waitress, she agreed that this was not normal and took the dish away. She never offered a replacement but did take it off the bill so that was nice. What was most disappointing was the PB&J Wings. I had been looking forward to these since I started planning my trip to Savannah. Too bad they were such a bummer. I like my wings nice and crispy so I usually ask for them that way. When our other two dishes were brought out, the waitress apologized and said the wings were going to be a couple of extra minutes due to the request for them to be extra crispy...no problem, good wings are worth the wait. Unfortunately, these were not good wings. Upon taking the first bite, I was immediately worried that I was being served undercooked chicken. The meat was very rubbery and not very hot. It was hard to find any crispness on them at all. I took a couple of additional bites and threw in the towel. They were really quite gross. The sauce on the other had was fantastic. I really enjoyed the pecan/ peanut butter and peach jelly dipping sauce were wonderful. Too bad they were on subpar wings. read more

Frustrating experience here for sure. They were busy but people were moving through. We ended up waiting for nearly 45 minutes for our food. We had to ask about it a couple of times. Our waiter only checked on us once early on, never let us know there were delays. We had to grab a different waitress who said the fryer was down or something of that nature. We stopped by during a trip to Savannah. Treyler Park's name caught my attention and their unique menu options sealed the deal. The decor has a cool retro feel, and they also have a section with vintage video games. This is definitely a kid-friendly diner. My wife and I both had the fried chicken biscuit with grits. The food was tasty and the portions were large, but we both felt it was too salty. My kids loved the pancakes. The bacon was perfectly crisp. Unfortunately, we couldn't try their cocktails because law prohibits morning alcohol sales on Sundays... bummer... so no mimosas or bloody maries during our brunch. read more

This is my go to when I come into town to visit. It has got a charm of its own. The staff here is very nice and friendly. The food is prepared well and I love the twists on their menu. Disappointing. Went to the main location night before. Christopher was the man. Good food. Good drinks. Overall good service. Visited this location for brunch the following day. Hostess seemed not all there. Mumbled and did not speak clearly. Food, as expected, was great. Did bottomless mimosas and was told after the 3rd they were out, thus presenting the bottom. Paid 50 bucks for two people to have bottomless mimosas and they ran out. They comped a cocktail (at our request) to make up for it. Overall disappointing experience. We were looking for a place to have a good southern style lunch and had noticed this spot the previous evening when we were walking around. It wasn't packed and there was no wait so we decided to try it out. The place recently opened and is affiliated with the other Treylor Park restaurant in town. Our server was very friendly and happy to give us recommendations on menu items. I decided to try the fried chicken biscuit and my boyfriend tried the sloppy joe skillet. I also ordered a side of collard greens. My chicken biscuit was delicious! The chicken was nice and tender, the egg had a perfect runny yolk, the sausage gravy was flavorful, and the biscuit itself was also really good. The grits that came with it were very creamy and buttery (my boyfriend was very happy to share those with me haha). The collard greens were also well prepared and tasty. My boyfriend enjoyed his sloppy joe skillet. I loved the retro diner aesthetic here also. Overall, it was great service and delicious food! I'd return again in the future for sure. read more

We decided to stop in for dinner. If I was rating just on service, it would be 2 stars. We were seated right away, but then it took almost 10 minutes to get water. After they took our order, it was another 20 minutes before we received our food. There were other customers in the restaurant. However, it was not overly busy, so not sure why it took so long. We ordered the PB & J Wings and the Treylor Park Nachos. The wings were good. However, we weren't fond of the dipping sauce (we assume it was the jelly part of the PB & J). The nachos were excellent and would definitely order these again. We received the bill, and it looked like it was half price, so absolutely no complaints on the price and helped make up for the slow service. read more

A must-go-to for breakfast in Savannah. A great and unique diner vibe in the heart of downtown. I got the chicken biscuit and if you love southern food - highly suggest. It's one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in Savannah and maybe just in general. The chicken was well seasoned, crispy biscuit, and grits are TRUE southern grits. I must also say... I love open kitchens because you can literally see your food being cooked and know it's all sanitary and safe. Food here was tasty! Kiddos liked their pancakes (a little expensive but good). Avocado smash was good, bread stayed firm which is a win for a version of avocado toast. Service was good, they were able to accomplish our large party and saw them take three more large parties while we were there. And they were still able to support smaller parties at the same time. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Biggest critique, coffee could be stronger, it was a little watery. Overall had a good experience here and would go back if we are back in Savannah. read more

While in Savannah for vacation, we were looking for a good breakfast place to try. We stopped by Treylor Park Double Wide the day before, and there was a very long wait. Long lines are usually a very good sign, but it didn't fit with our schedule that day. So I was very excited to be able to get in. The restaurant has a very nice diner vibe and the main area is designed to look like a double-wide trailer on the ceiling. They have several TV's throughout the restaurant, which happened to have The Fifth Element on that day. There are also PAC Man games next to the restrooms. We were seated and were greeted by our server Adam who was among the nicest servers I have ever had. Truly, he went above and beyond throughout. I ordered a blueberry mimosa and my wife ordered the passion fruit. Mine was good, but hers was better. For breakfast, I went with the hot chicken and waffle tacos. They literally turn the waffles in to shells. On top, there is hot sauce and a blueberry compote. I was a little intimidated at first on how I was going to bite into them as they are pretty sizable. I finally put my big boy pants on and just went for it. Holy smokes, these things were out of this world good. The sweet and savory mix explodes in your mouth. I was only able to eat two of the three, but I wish I could have eaten them all. If you are in Savannah and are looking for a good breakfast/brunch restaurant, this place is the real deal. This is the Treylor Park groups 3rd Savannah location. Located on Bay St, it's a block away from the original Treylor Park. Currently, Apple Maps has both businesses listed as the same address. If you're looking for the diner, it's next to Starbucks! I came on a Sunday morning with a group of friends. I wouldn't come here with more than a group of 6, most of the tables are 4 tops. It was not busy at all, surprisingly! Adam was our server and was very attentive to our table. I ordered the Caprese Skillet which tasted as good as it sounds. I was hesitant to order because it has spinach pesto, and I very much prefer basil pesto, but it was delicious! The eggs were scrambled, and then baked so they looked brown and were a little crispy. My boyfriend ordered the Fried Chicken Biscuit. He enjoyed every bite. I ate the grits which were buttery and tasty. Our friends enjoyed their meals too, there were no complaints. The coffee was just ok, nothing special. Our two meals came to $43 with the tip. Splitting the check 4 ways was easy at the end; Adam did it right on the toast hand held at the table. One thing I don't like about the 3 restaurants is the overlap of menu items. The sharables are mostly the same items on all 3 menus. They're probably very popular items but give me a reason to pick one location over the others. Overall, would return and recommend for a local brunch. I visited the Treylor Park Double Wide diner for the first time this week. This diner serves "brunch". It is a very cool place to eat. I really enjoyed my brunch/lunch. The diner is set-up to resemble the inside of a old style camper. They played loud oldies music which I loved. They have a full bar, booths and tables. I ordered the shrimp and grits skillet. I wasn't sure what to expect. I normally love shrimp and grits but I have had a few orders at other restaurants that weren't so great. This meal consists of grilled shrimp with chili aioli, chimichurri, fried grit bites, red peppers and scrambled eggs over fried hash browns. It sounds weird but it was delicious and the flavors really were great together. I liked the fried grit bites. They are like grits in tater tot form. The hash browns at the bottom of the skillet were nice and crispy on the outside with soft potatoes inside. My husband got the Crab cake biscuit which came with a small bowl of regular grits (not bites). He enjoyed it. I sampled a bite of the crab cake. It was soooo tasty. My son just got regular pancakes but he said they were great. He had the choice to fill his pancakes with blueberries, strawberries, bananas or peanut butter. He chose plain pancakes. He's not adventurous like me. This was a great place for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner. If I lived nearby I would be in here at least once a week.
