Mango Matcha Oat Latte
Alyssa C.

I was craving a banh mi, and I found this restaurant/cafe that came upon my yelp! This place doubles as a restaurant and study cafe, with an area in the back where it's sort of a bar area for studying with plenty of chargers! It was only 2 servers today, so it was quiet but they were very sweet and attentive, filling our waters and making sure we had our utensils. We came around 5pm today, super hungry because we skipped out on lunch. We ordered the Ham & Pate Banh Mi, the Roasted Pork and Fried Rice, the Bone Marrow steamed rice, the garlic fries, and the Chicken Cartilage Spicy & Sweetie flavor. My favorite is DEFINITELY the banh mi. It was crispy, filled with veggies and toppings, smelled SO fresh, and they definitely pack it with the pate and vietnamese mayo. I haven't had such a good banh mi in a long time, the banh mi itself definitely beats any other banh mi in the area. The roasted pork fried rice was great! The fried rice was a simple egg fried rice, but executed perfectly. The portion was big and filling too. The roasted pork was tender and juicy, some parts of the pork skin didn't fully crisp up, but I did like the chew. The bone marrow steamed rice came in a sizzling pot that stayed hot throughout the whole meal. The filet mignon and the bone marrow was all well seasoned, and the rice at the bottom crisped up very nicely. The chicken cartilage was crispy and actually quite meaty, the spicy and saweetie sauce had a very mild spice, but the taste was moreso a fish sauce taste. It smells pungent however the taste is subtle, tastes even better dipping it in the sauce provided. Finally, garlic fries. Simple, well done, very strong garlic flavor, I definitely would love snacking on this, even when studying. I would definitely recommend people to check this place out, it's a hidden gem and I definitely see this place taking off and becoming wayyyy more popular!

Egg coffee

Please support this brand new, small biz. There is ample parking in the plaza in the front and back. They offer a few dishes but I haven't tried any of the food yet. I've had the egg coffee and earl Grey matcha. I'll be back soon to try the mango matcha! The egg coffee is a small portion but Vietnamese coffee is potent. I enjoyed both drinks. I honestly don't have many words to describe it but I encourage you to order drinks and food here! Sign up for their loyalty program!

I was visiting my brother's family and was craving Vietnamese since it'd been a few days. Coming from San Jose, I have pretty high expectations but wasn't expecting much since we weren't heading to OC for our Viet fix. I will say I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this spot and even went twice in one week. Here are the dishes we tried: - Banh Mi Chao 5/5: Flavors were on point! I loved the mixture of the diced tomatoes and plum tomatoes. The cha was delicious and the right texture. I'm spoiled with cha Duc Huong up north and compare it to all. Only wish the skillet was warmer and actually sizzled. - Garlic Noodles with Shaking Beef 5/5: I really liked the crispy char on the beef and the marinade was very well done. Next time I'll ask for it to be medium rare instead as it was a bit overcooked for me. Garlic noodles were extremely flavorful! The spicy green sauce paired really well with the beef. - Pork Belly with Fried Rice 3/5: Flavors on this dish were on point and the fried rice was very well done with the egg and separated, rice kernels. Unfortunately, the pork belly skin was chewy, not crispy so that was a miss. - Xoi Man (Sticky Rice) 4/5: The components and taste were all there but the Xoi was a little too sticky and clumpy for my taste. - Egg Coffee, Banana Coffee & Black Sesame Coffee were all very well balanced and strong! Appreciate that they offer oat milk. The restaurant is spacious, clean and I really liked the aesthetics. I know my brother and SIL will be coming often since it's so close to them and I'll be there next time I'm in town.

Triple-T s Barbeque and Cajun Calamari

Solid new spot in Gardena for Asian fusion! Every dish was seasoned well and packed with flavor. Our favorite was the bone marrow with steam rice and filet. Bone marrow was cooked perfectly and slid right off. The stone pot gives the bottom of the rice a nice crispy texture. The shaken beef with garlic noodles was also very delicious. The beef was cooked well and soaked in tons of flavor while staying juicy and tender. The crispy had a good crunchy batter to it and the Cajun seasoning was a nice touch. The cilantro crema sauce that came with the beef dishes was so good, we ended up putting it on almost everything. The one dish I'd skip next time would be the barbecue plate. It came with plenty of protein and was nice to try 3 different meats. But the meats were dry and overcooked. Overall a great experience and we will be back for more!

Today Triple-T in Gardena celebrated their grand opening! Triple-T has been in soft opening since March and this weekend marks the official opening of their new and renovated space. It's a coffee shop plus Vietnamese restaurant offering tasty drinks and savory dishes. As part of the celebration today, the first 100 customers were treated to a free egg coffee. Their egg coffee features fresh-pulled espresso and milk, topped with house-made egg cream. I was quite surprised with the bold and strong coffee flavor at first sip. This was nicely balanced with the rich, silky egg cream. This is definitely a must try for those who like their coffee strong. For the savory dishes, I tried their Hong Kong Style Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings ($18), the Garlic Noodle with Shaken Beef ($21) and the Roasted Pork with Fried Rice ($19). The Hong Kong Style Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings came out hot and crispy. They were good in flavor, though a bit on the salty side for me. The Garlic Noodle with Shaken Beef consisted of garlic noodles topped with wok seared shaken beef. I loved the soft and flavorful buttery garlic noodles. The wok seared shaken beef was so tender. I really enjoyed this dish. The Roasted Pork with Fried Rice was another great dish. The roasted pork was juicy and well seasoned. This perfectly paired with the fried rice and salad that was part of the dish. The fried rice had garlic chips and was packed with flavor. I was so happy to visit Triple-T during their grand opening celebration and am already looking forward to coming back for more yummy drinks and delicious food.

Matcha Einspanner and Banana Latte

I was really excited when I saw this place on Yelp again and that they re-opened! Their reviews and photos looked really good so my husband and I came with our friend for lunch. It wasn't busy and only had one other party, but I think only one person was working at the front of house, so it took a minute for us to get served, but that's okay since we needed time to go over the menu and figure out what we wanted. For Drinks, we got the Matcha Einspanner and Banana Latte based on the servers recommendations. I was very excited about the drinks. The consistency and presentation were stellar, but the taste was lacking. Food: Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Pasta, Spicy Wontons (appetizer), Hong Kong Style Salt and Pepper Chicken Cartilage (appetizer), Pork Banh Mi (appetizer), and Roasted Pork with Fried Rice. Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience here with the food. The Pork Banh Mi & Cartilage appetizers are what I ordered for my mains, even though they are appetizers. I actually really enjoyed the Hong Kong style cartilage~ I want to come back to try their popcorn chicken if the texture and flavors are similar. HOWEVER, the banh mi is where I had some real issues because of their BREAD. Although the texture and flavor of the pork were actually quite good, I wasn't able to really enjoy it due to the poor quality of the bread. It was stale and very hard to chew. I felt like my jaw was going to cramp. I don't know if they just used bad quality bread, or if the bread was just old. Please change your bread. The banh mi has so much potential, but no one can enjoy it if the bread doesn't change. I didn't get to try my friend's pork fried rice, but I did try some of the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Pasta. It didn't have as much flavor as I thought it would, but it was okay. TLDR; I loved the texture and flavors of the hong kong style salt and pepper chicken cartilage, everything else was just okay. Please change the bread for the banh mi. They are still adjusting their plates since they are still in their soft opening phase. I hope they are able to really take these reviews to heart and make the adjustments so that they are able to do well in the future. I love to support small businesses and I love Vietnamese food so I really want to come back and support.

Absolute hidden gem. Incredible and fresh food and drinks.. Great flavor, good portions, quality ingredients. Salted crème coffee and mango matcha were genuinely 10/10. Pork belly fried rice and spare ribs were fantastic. I do wish the menu had a little more detail, as I didn't realize the ribs were fried. Regardless, highly recommend. Staff is friendly and attentive. Plenty of space, and it's nice and clean. This place deserves more shine.

Bone Marrow Steamed Rice with Filet Mignon

Triple-T is a new restaurant in their soft opening! It is tucked away in a small plaza in Gardena with plenty of parking. The interior is huge and spacious. You can either order to go at a counter or get sit-in/dine in service. There are a lot of servers who are super kind and attentive throughout our entire meal! The drinks here are excellent! We got the Black Sesame Coffee, the Banana Cream Foam Coffee, and the Vietnamese Coffee. The Black Sesame coffee was SOO good! It had a hint of sesame and right balance of sweet and nutty flavor paired with the coffee. The coffee base was strong but not overpowering and the Banana foam had a natural not artificial taste which was nice. For our appetizers, we got the popcorn chicken and the Hong Kong salt & pepper fried chicken wings. Both were crispy, hot and phenomenal! For our entrees, we each got our own dish. I got the Bone Marrow rice with filet mignon. It was so good! It had everything you could hope for -- fatty bone marrow, well cooked filet mignon, and crispy rice. It was paired with an aji verde sauce that up leveled the whole dish! The Filet Mignon Skillet was delicious with a nice sized baguette to pair with it. Everything was cooked well and there was a nice special butter to bring the whole dish together! The Salted Egg Yolk with Shrimp pasta was good. You could taste the salted egg and the shrimp were well cooked (came with shells on btw)! Finally, the Roasted Pork with Fried Rice was filled with lots of flavor. The pork was cooked the best of any restaurant we've been to! This place is a MUST go! Everyone is friendly and kind and the drinks and food are delicious! Highly recommend :)

The food was great . The drinks were great. The sizzling plate was unique and comfort food at its finest. The drinks were meticulously crafted and worth it. The salted egg yolk could improve.

Egg coffee and americano

Came here for the "grand opening". I think they've actually been here but completely revamped. Cuz the last time I was here (a while ago, honestly) the food was bomb. I think we had gotten garlicky noodles of some kind and I remember really liking them. Today, they were offering first 100 customers a free egg coffee. I've never had one before but it's so yummy! It's creamy, not too dark, perfectly sweetened for my taste. Well done, especially for batch-making and having to make 100!! (We were #20). My husband didn't want egg coffee so he got an iced americano. His notes are "small but decent" lol. Man of few words haha. I really liked it tho. I'm not one to get Americano's but the flavor profile is what we look for. We lean more toward chocolatey nutty flavor profile over citrus notes and that's what this one was! We're fans! I was eyeing the menu and would come back to try the popcorn chicken ($9). They had bahn mi's on the menu and other dishes as well. Very intriguing but having the coffee bar is a nice touch! They have a very asthetically pleasing sign saying their drinks come 9oz as to not dilute the espresso. Honestly idk if I could do more than 9oz cuz I already feel the caffeine haha so if you're ok with a small cup of strong coffee, then this is your spot! The cashier was nice and I was served my coffee right away. Excited to see how this place progresses!

Banana latte .... It's amazing !! Strong, I asked for one shot. Creamy. Not too sweet, served in the cutest cup ever

Stepping into triple T Airene greeted me with the most warm smile! The decor is beautiful, warm neutral vibes. I had the banana latte and the Vietnamese sandwich, it was delicious ! Loved it! Will be coming here again very soon

We tried the garlic noodle shaking beef, the sticky rice/xoi and popcorn chicken. They give you very generous sauces that taste very gourmet. The xoi comes with a lot of toppings like pate, vn butter, vn ham, meat floss and more. The popcorn chicken tastes very fresh, crunchy and cheap. The shaking beef has a lot of beef for the price point. Great service and the dining room is very elegant and chic. Everyone in the party loves the food. We also tried the Matcha Einspanner. It's good but Da Vien is still superior. This restaurant will be in our weekly rotation now.

Hong Kong-style Salt Pepper Chicken Wings (8 Pieces)

First I will start by saying I am not from Torrence so I was a little biased to go to a spot I've never been to for Pho. At first glance the spot is hard to find unless you yelp or google it, but at first glance the restaurant is clean, the decor is amazing and it makes you feel like you're in a fine dining restaurant. My server was amazing I was seated immediately and then was greeted and given a menu. I chose two thing the beef noodle soup which is a deconstructed pho with rice noodles on the side and your broth comes in a stone pot which helped to keep the heat throughout the whole meal. I also order the fried wings made Hong Kong style (salt and pepper). Both dishes came out hot and fresh and the wings were cooked to perfection and seasoned generously. I highly recommend that if you ever visit Torrence this is a Must Go spot during your foodie travels or just for a quick stop in and fix for your pho cravings.

As soon as we entered we saw a sign saying you had to pay before being seated. Red flag!! Paying before you even had a taste of the food rang alarms in my head. Asking for a tip before service has even been rendered is the most ridiculous thing ever. Alot of places do this and it needs to be changed. Tip after services have been rendered. The workers here at least the 4 that I saw were all extremely young. They looked like they all belong in high school. They were very slow in anything they did. During my whole time here I the resturant the phone kept going off and they ignored it quite a few times. The inside of the resturant nice and clean, no complaints from me. My wife used their bathroom but the door did not lock so I had to stand outside which is annoying and not suitable for any ladies wanting to use the restroom. The food took quite a long time to come out. We sat down for awhile before the appetizers came out. 2 of us got the pho lunch special and it comes with a fried veggie eggroll. It took 15 minutes just to get 2 veggie spring rolls which were fresh and hot. When taking a bite out of them the inside was just mushy veggies and tasted like they were soaked in soy sauce. Then the spring rolls came out and they looked ok. After tasting they were decent. My only complaint about them is there wasn't enough peanut sauce, just a little dish not enough for all of our rolls. My wife ordered the combination fried rice. It came and it looked nice and hot. Upon tasting it for myself it tasted extremely salty. The proteins in it (Chinese sausage, shrimp, chicken) were almost inedible with the exception of the Chinese sausage. The shrimp was extremely over cooked and the chicken was cut thin and wide, like jerky and was just as dry as jerky. My FIL and I ordered the combination pho. The pho was extremely lackluster and was missing some components commonly in combo pho (pho dac biet) it was missing tendon, flank and meatballs (sometimes not always in pho dac biet) The meat to noodle ratio is extremely terrible, had at least 8 bites of noodles left and no more meat. The broth was so bland no flavor at all except for the over abundance of sweetness from the sugar. Being part vietnamese myself I love alot of pho whether its super delicious or just ok. This pho is not even in the "just ok" realm its terrible, its a disgrace to pho everywhere. Even if you are the type to put Hoison/Sriracha in the broth it will not save it. FIL says this place uses to be good but I guess things have changed since his last visit all those years ago. You could pick almost any other pho restaurant and I am 99.99% sure it would be better than here. If you value your time, money, and taste buds please stay clear of this place by any means necessary.
