Went to visit this place for a friends birthday party, they rented a cool karaoke room for us to have fun with. The Frozen BBC cocktail was my favorite drink of the night, but there other draft cocktails looked amazing. The bartender Dave poured me tasters of each to make sure I got what I liked. Once we were finished singing, we stopped by their kitchen to try a steak cheesesteak, and it didn't disappoint! We topped it with some old school cheese whiz. Great atmosphere in this place, they have live music as well as music playing in and outside. There is a ferris wheel you can ride, an ideal place for summer to enjoy the sun in its outdoor patio. We had a frozen party punch drink and a frozen mangonada both super yummy and refreshing options both $9 each. Nice spot to stop into if you're in the area before a sporting event (Dynamo or Astros stadiums nearby). We stopped in on a Saturday, and it was packed both inside and outside, but we were still able to snag a seat. This place is family friendly, and they had several bars (indoors and outdoors) open, live music, and food trucks. Minimal parking outside; you'll mostly have to search for a spot on the street. read more

Went last night for the first time and had so much fun! Live music was great, the Ferris wheel was fun and it goes pretty fast too I think it was $7.50 per person and it goes for a couple minutes. It gave a good view of the surrounding area and the rooftop bar next door. Bartenders were friendly and the decor and energy overall was just chill. I've been coming here for years and something I can always count on is great drinks and new foodtruck options. I highly recommend their Mule and lemonade. They are a dog friendly establishment and have indoor and outdoor seating. During the day they don't ID except for at the bar but around 8 to 9 you have to shown your ID at the door and it becomes 21 and up. I will always recommend this place to anyone visiting Houston. It is so perfect for day drinking. The Ferris wheel (which I've never been on) is definitely entertaining. There's a diverse drink menu. Really fun bar to hangout at, with a variety of interesting seating spots, cool decor, live music, murals, ping pong, food trucks, and a ferris wheel! There's so much going on at this bar, it's certainly one of the more interesting places to hang out at, and in an area with other bars/restaurants right around the corner it's clearly where people go for a few drinks. Oddly enough, we might not have even come if 8th Wonder Distillery were open (which they weren't, even though it said they were on Maps/Yelp!) The brewery was open, but we can't drink beer, so we saw this place instead and decided to just check it out; glad we did. It was a $5 cover charge, but it was worth the experience seeing the beer garden-esque gravel area covered in murals, neon lights, and wandering animals (someone even brought in a goat :p) There was live music playing the whole time, and they have their own take on some classics (mules, long island), that they mix themselves and was actually decent which isn't always the case and can be too sugary or watered down. There were a few food trucks, but we didn't try anything. Service was good, servers were following strict COVID protocols, and there was enough space to keep your distance from others. read more

My friends and I were having a great time celebrating her birthday. This bar should feel honored that we came here. We were having a good time but unfortunately our time was ruined. This Caucasian man, age about 40-50 (and that's me being graceful as he looked like about 100 yrs old) kept looking at us and telling us we had 4 minutes to chug our drinks as soon as we got them from the lovely bartender. We noticed this troll of a man did not tell anyone else anything. We were standing around talking (MIND YOU THERE ARE OTHER CUSTOMERS AT THE BAR, DRINKING) and he told us that we needed to leave. My friend asked him why he wasn't asking any of the other customers to leave and the troll got triggered. He started saying that we definitely needed to leave and practically chased us out. Very cool place, too bad I found it the weekend prior to the world closing down due to Covid! Atmosphere is so laid back, easy people watching, good music, and a freaking ferris wheel - hello! I don't know if they rotate their food truck vendors often, but I really enjoyed the Cuban food I ordered from - some serious plantains and sauces to go on top of. Great pricing on drinks, good variety, and clean ladies room. I think they are dog friendly and in a great area to try other stops as well. I found this place in advance while somewhat planning my trip to Houston. My friends and I stopped by here on our first night. Loved that it was so lively. Love outdoor food halls. We ordered a few different plates of food to share and we got some drinks. I ordered a berry lemonade. After we ate I wanted to get on the Ferris wheel. We went to find out how to get on the ride, the guy there said we had to get the tokens from the bar. So we headed over to the bar. And come to find out we need to buy a drink, specifically berry lemonade for $20 to get on the Ferris wheel. I ended up not getting on because I didn't want to have another drink so we skipped it. I wish there could've been better signage about getting on the Ferris wheel. Cause um $20 to get on the Ferris wheel is much. But it was a fun evening. read more

It was an Astros game day so there was valet but we were grabbing dinner at Rodeo Goat and told the valet guy and he let us in for FREE with no problem. After our meal, we just walked on over to Truckyard since it was next door. Love that their kitchen stays open so late. Came on a random Tuesday evening and we had a terrible case of the munchies. Shared a STEAK & PROVOLONE CHEESESTEAK + CHIPS and it hit the spot. Wanna give this cheesesteak another try just to see if it's just as good as the first time we had it. Drinks are reasonably priced. Had their PEACHY KEEN TEA and it was pretty refreshing. A well whiskey and water was about $5-6 not terrible. To me, the BEST SEATS in the house are all the way at the end of their second level. Best view of the Ferris wheel and the live band. A little isolated and quieter, romantic on a date. The overall atmosphere of this place is so casual and bright. Not sure if the FERRIS WHEEL is up and running for people to ride yet but I do wish they would turn it on and just have it running so that it adds to the visual aspect. There are benches built out of the old truck beds of older Ford trucks. There are large containers that are cut to make a deck above which one can oversee the backyard grounds. One industrial container is turned into a karaoke room. There is the indoor portion of which makes up approximately 15%-20% of the total space of the property. In addition, there is space for 3 food trucks on the property to fuel your fun. There is a live ferris wheel (used for decorations) on the property; it really makes for that sort of fair feel. + dog-friendly bar: On the day we went, we probably saw 6 different dogs on leashes there. Big and small dogs. We actually had a hypoallergenic poodle in our party. + family-friendly spot: Saw everyone from all ages here on a nice Saturday to watch some post season football games. CONS: - Can't think of much. It's like this place was thought of by those who may have been inspired from a visit to Austin's East Sixth Street. IMPRESSION: Whoever developed this East Houston bar certainly put some thought into this and did an excellent job. It is certainly a cool bar. We went to watch the CFP (LSU vs. OU) in late-December 2019. Plenty of TVs to watch--indoor or outdoor. This place is way better than most New York bars that I have been to.
