We have had TFK in other cities and it's usually good. This time was not. We had the bison sausage pizza - the crust was not done and it had maybe one small piece of sausage per slice. Very crowded Friday night. Even with reservations, we had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Manager was working her tail off, so no fault there. Drinks were mediocre. Wife ordered a margarita. What kind of margarita comes with no salt on the rim? I ordered a dirty martini. What kind of martini comes with no olives or even olive juice? Got straight up vodka and vermouth. I'm not a send back person? But I had to in this particular situation. Waiter brought it back, the correct drink came back minutes later. All good. Apps were okay. Ordered the new edamame guacamole. Guac was good. It came with literally SIX very hard chips. Margarita pizza was good. My son didn't like the tomato soup, but he's a pain in the ass, so I don't trust his review. (He did like his steak main course. Steak was cooked a perfect medium rare.) My daughter and I had the burrito bowls. 3.5 out of 5 stars. Good portion. Left full. I love the food here. One of very few restaurants that don't use seed oils. Most restaurants' food makes me lethargic and tired because of toxic and highly processed seed oils that are commonly used in cooking, as a result I avoid eating out. I never feel this way when I eat here. Delicious and healthy food. I love their soups, salads, virtually all their appetizers and especially the dumplings. It's also great for people who prefer to eat vegetarian, although the menu is very diverse. Highly recommend!!! read more

True Food Kitchen at the Boca Town Center Mall is definitely on the decline with food preparation. Even our server, Diego, was upset, and he was a phenomenal server. I had the chicken with grains; the chicken was good, but the grains went back twice and remained cold. The manager, Emma, was very apologetic and accommodating, which eased our impression of the management. One of our appetizers had a plastic ring in it, so that order had to be replaced. The butternut squash soup was thin and had an odd spice taste covering up the butternut squash flavor. While Diego and Emma were embarrassed and tried to accommodate, the fault belongs on the shoulders of the chef. We have gone here for years, but this will be our last time. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by my meal at TFK. I did not expect to like it so much. They have very fresh ingredients. I loved my Korean Beef Bowl. I ordered the mushrooms on the side and they remembered to do that. The meal was very tasty. They had the trendy sweet potato glass noodles in my bowl. I have been seeing these a lot lately and enjoy them. The meal could have been a little larger but the price was very fair at the same time. The brussel sprout appetizer was excellent. I forgot I was eating brussel sprouts. Nice and hot. My friend ordered the chicken with avocado wrap and some cucumber salad. She was not too fond of her wrap but loved the cucumber salad. Go figure. I tried a piece of her wrap and agreed. It was not the best wrap I ever had. My dessert was delicious. The brownie was very fresh and the ice cream was creamy. They have some seasonal items so you know the ingredients are fresh and in season. The tables are pretty far apart. Our server was excellent. I will look forward to my next meal here. read more

My third trip here but first in over a year. Seating was easy and fast. Service was friendly knowledgeable and fast. The grilled sustainable salmon entree with a glass of the non sparkling rose, and the teriyaki quinoa bowl were finished to the last grain and morsel in record time. Absolutely amazing food quality and presentation. My date kept commenting on how beautiful the ambience in the restaurant was and I agree. Prices also didn't seem out of whack. Delightful fresh food. True Food Kitchen was exactly what I was looking for l, especially in the summer. It aligns with my preferred daily eating habits by providing a variety of organic options for various dietary preferences. Ie Their seasonal menu is riddled with gluten free, vegan, multigrain , ancient grains, grain free, grass-fed, dairy free, clean whole food options along with minty, berry, and or deep flavored libations. I enjoyed the delicious Garden of Eden mock-tail and the Korean hot glass noodle bowl. They also had a lemonade station setup upon entry. I thought that was a perfect way to introduce some of their beverages as well as to keep guests cool with refreshments while they wait away from the hot summer sun to be seated. My friends and I were in town for a wedding and saw open table had availability for a party of 7 for brunch Saturday morning. The coffee was so weak and they do not have heavy cream or half and half. You can have milk or oat milk. It took about 20 minutes to get a spoon, coffee, and cream. The server was kind enough to comp the coffee. Our friends ordered iced coffee which was hot coffee (already weak) poured over ice which obviously melted into water. The eggs scramble bowl was good and the avocado toast was good. The strawberry lemon pancakes were just okay. They allegedly came with housemade preserves but mine came with three slices of a strawberry instead. I ate half but just felt like why waste the calories. No bacon. Wow The aesthetics are so cute but the food needs love. Another friend said his breakfast sandwich was just okay. To quote him, "it ain't not Micky D's". We were questioning if this restaurant buys their reviews. I would not recommend. I would not come back. read more

There isn't a lot to choose from to be honest, which can be a good and bad thing; however, if you're vegan and gluten free then you have even more limited choices. How the food tastes is, well, it's mediocre at best, and I'm trying to stay positive, and the dessert was disappointing and, surprise, overpriced. Also, I would call into question anything there labeled as gluten free as my wife's stomach was incredibly upset after eating the gluten free curry option they had, stomach pains she only gets when something isn't entirely gluten free. The outdoor seating is terrible, the ambiance outside is hearing everyone's conversation who passed by or the rich kids playing rap music, which isn't entirely their fault, but nevertheless the outdoor seating is still terrible. Inside things are no better either , as others have pointed out , it's loud and very poorly designed to reduce noise and make it manageable to talk to each other. Service is lackluster too, for the price you would expect better service, but don't. I wouldn't waste your time or money here. read more

I had true food kitchen here two days in a row because I love this restaurant and their food quality and taste is unparalleled. Here is what happened - Friday - lunch here was ancient grain bowls and tomato soup - excellent food and service Saturday - decided to take out two ancient grain bowls - the sweet potato , sugar snap peas, onions were completely uncooked - I took it on a boat so didn't open it for 2 hours after I picked them up - they were inedible so I threw both orders away and just went out for lunch. I called and explained the situation to a kind lady and she said she can let the manager know. I picked up the order around 10:30 am and the restaurant was empty so I wonder what went wrong. Hopefully they resolve the issue UPDATE: the manager Bill called and apologized for the snafu and spoke to the chef to ensure this doesn't happen again (he even refunded me without asking). Mistakes happen but I'm glad Bill is ensuring this doesn't repeat and is providing excellent customer service!! read more

Today I was blessed and had lunch with my daughter. I had the grass-fed burger with Unami mushroom, caramelized onion, organic arugula, Parmesan, mayonnaise on a Flexi bun. For aside, I had kale salad With lemon, garlic, Parmesan, and breadcrumbs. I ordered the medium-rare burger it came out cooked perfectly; this is a very solid burger, and it was worth the money spent for it. The kale salad is another excellent item with their Fixin's attached to it. The burger wasn't as juicy as I like it, but it did have a fantastic taste and ranked out there as some of the best that I've had For starters, we wound up with roasted brussels sprouts; it had mushroom Meso sesame vinaigrette chili thread, which was pretty good, and another starter we had was a truffle hunting impair flat. It's artesian crust organic pier, goat cheese, walnuts, organic arugula, cashew butternut squash purée, and this is another item that knocked it out of the ballpark. for a beverage, I had the Apple lemonade that was just OK; I'm not sure I would order it again, but my daughter had the same item, and she totally enjoyed it I went to this place about three years ago for the first time, and I was pretty much by accident because I never thought healthy food to be so good; I recommend this place tenfold read more

I wish I was excited to say, I finally tried this restaurant, as I've had it bookmarked for years. But I'm not happy to report about my first and probably last experience from this restaurant. I ordered my two year old daughter the mozzarella and organic tomato pizza off the kids menu. She loved the pizza! But what toddler doesn't love pizza? I ordered the teriyaki quinoa and added grilled chicken for myself. The first few bites I had weren't good. It had a terrible taste. I'm not sure if it was the flavor of the charred vegetables or what. But it wasn't good. I did continue to eat my meal as I thought it would taste better, but it really didn't. The menu is filled with healthy, delicious options that meet several dietary needs. All resonantly priced, especially for the amazing quality that you get! This is located at the Boca Town Center Mall. The interior is fresh, airy, and has a farm to table feel. The outside patio is pretty big and has a closed in garden border to offer a little buffer to the parking lot. They have seasonal items and staple items, so you can always get something new or stick with your favorite. We ordered the seasonal dumplings which were vegetarian-so amazing. They had a light soy type sauce with a subtle truffle oil flavor. The stuffing was creamy and amazing. My typical entree are the noodles- you really can't go wrong! read more

So the run down here is that they don't use seed oils and I think I'm becoming a believer. First meal I've had in a while where I don't feel tired after (I recently bought a fitness plan called "under the hood nutrition" that addresses some of this so it's on my radar I guess). And for reference, I got their new air-fried chicken sandwich with a side kale salad. For a "healthier" choice option, I was impressed. I would ask for a side of buffalo sauce (which i did) because I don't find the "awesome sauce" to be that awesome. My kale salad came with a good amount of dressing, but my wife's didn't. The other meals at the table were very good, including the beef sandwich dip, and the sourdough sausage pizza with an egg on it, that my friend said was the "best pizza he's ever had" for the flavor. I also had the "bright eye" juice which was "healthy" but wasn't the best tasting. We finished with the cookie with ice cream on top which was surprisingly soft/gooey on the inside for being a "healthier" cookie, with a big scoop of vanilla on top. Busy but we were seated quickly. Great service. Looking forward to coming back. Pricier than I would like on my price/taste/value scale, but worth it to not feel bad after eating. read more

So good from start to finish. Located within the Boca mall with a great atmosphere and loaded with a foods on the healthy side. They are opening two other locations within Palm Beach County. One right in Rosemary Square and the other in the Palm Beach Gardens Mall. I love the fact that they allow you sample the refreshers before commuting to one. I tried the honey lemonade, hangover RX and pomegranate chia. My favorite was the honey lemonade, it has a taste like an Arnold Palmer. My food was so good, I couldn't even finish it all. Filled with lots of nutrients. Made me feel a bit better eating this compared to the other mall foods I would normally choose. Lol read more

My partner & I went to TFK for dinner on Sun. 9/29. I wrote a partial review that night. This is the complete review. The restaurant had only a few guests. It was largely empty. It took our server 15 minutes from the time we were seated to bring us a glass of water. It took 45 minutes to bring us our food. We both had ordered veggie burgers with fries. The buns on the burgers were cold. Cheese had been slapped on after the burgers were cooked and not melted on the burgers. The fries were cold,limp & soggy. I asked to speak to the manager. He had black curly hair, glasses & a mustache. He was incredibly arrogant & condescending. He wasn't interested in anything we had to say about our experience. He was without doubt the worst manager I have ever spoken to.My partner who has worked in the restaurant for many yrs was equally shocked. She had never dealt with a manager as awful as this guy was. He paced up our meals & we left. When we got home we tried eating our meals. The burgers were horrible & the fries terrible. We threw it all out. TFK failed in 3 essential areas. A cold & indifferent server (Camille), a god awful manager & a cook who obviously takes no pride in what he makes. The next morning I received a text message from Kim (the owner?) who said she wanted to make it right & asked me to email her back which I did. To date, I have not heard back. I guess that's what TFK calls "maing it right". There are many terrific restaurants in Boca. True Food Kitchen is not one of them. read more

My first visit to True Food Kitchen didn't disappoint! The space itself is open and airy, and my husband and I quickly snagged seats at the bar. I loved so many of the menu items, which made ordering a bit challenging, but I finally settled on the Inside-Out Quinoa Burger. I lobe the presentation and flavor of this burger! It was basically two quinoa patties filled with lettuce, tomato, avocado, red onion, and a light vinaigrette; I ordered mine sans Feta and Tzatziki. The flavors worked together so nicely, and this is something I want to try to recreate at home. However, the side of cucumber salad, as crazy as it sounds, really took the cake. It was truly the best cucumber salad I've ever had! My husband had a pizza and enjoyed the tangy sauce and thin crust. I am looking forward to our next visit! read more

This restaurant serves delicious meals that are also quite healthy. My wife is a celiac (severe gluten allergy) and is a vegan. It's often difficult to find restaurants that have options for her but not at True Food. They have multiple gluten free and vegan dishes and she absolutely loves them. Especially their Spinach and Mushroom pizza. Whenever we tell the staff she is a celiac, you can tell they take it seriously. This is something that we really appreciate and can't thank them enough for. But don't think this resturant is only for vegans or folks who like healthy meals. I'm someone who lives for greasy and delicious food. I've had multiple dishes at True Foods and everything has been really tasty. Their ingredients always taste very fresh and high-end. It was a good choice since it had options for everyone vegan and non-vegan. (Trying to find a vegan place my little brother and sister can enjoy can be difficult at times). This was a perfect "we'll meet in the middle type of place" Here I got their brand new menu item the vegan double cheeseburger w/side of half kale Cesar salad and half sweet potato hash I'd rate *Burger 7/10 *Hash 8/10 *Salad 7/10 I also got their vegan seasonal pizza because who doesn't love pizza haha this time around they had..... Spinach & Mushroom which includes: organic spinach, roasted mushroom, garlic purée, caramelized onion, house-made vegan almond ricotta, aleppo chili I'd say this is pretty yummy and out of the many options they have I'd definitely get this again. I'd rate this 8/10 I also like the drink called Andys Elixir. Ohhh my brother and sister got a regular cheese and marinara pizza, a broccoli chicken Panini and a sausage chicken pizza that they liked they also had a brownie for dessert. I have been meaning to come here for a while now. It's my mom's favorite spot! I was a bit weary that it was a "vegan" place but it's actually just a healthier restaurant. The food was surprisingly very tasteful and they even have a bar! My grandma and I came to try it out before going shopping and it turned out to be delicious! We ordered the edamame dumplings and they were my favorite! They have many choices on the menu including some new spring items that caught my eye. The salmon we ordered was the best entree and the teriyaki bowl was good too. I got grass fed steak with it. The staff were very friendly and they clean up the place super well! It was very comfortable. The best thing about this place is when you're done eating you don't feel healthy you actually feel good!! I can't wait to come back and try more of their food items. I went with a friend two months ago who is handicapped and rides a scooter. FYI the restaurant is not handicapped friendly and they just sat us in the back. I had the turkey burger and it wasn't very good, not much flavor and dry. I went last week with a different friend and we got a gluten free pizza for her diet needs. I have had True Food Kitchen book marked for some time. I was looking forward to it and when my friend gave it to me as a choice, I was excited. Drinks. Started off with a latte made with almond milk. It was lukewarm. I had asked for water at same time. I had to ask several more times before the water came. We started with the charred cauliflower. It was tasty. Again lukewarm. We were given some sharing plates. Mine was dirty. I was able to flag down the runner and ask for a new one, which took longer than it should have. She made a point to tell me it was hot because it was just washed. It was the hottest thing I encountered my entire meal. The kids ordered from the kid's menu. My daughter had the pizza and added mushrooms to it. It looked good. The crust tasted good. She was pleased. My friend's daughter had the burger. She got it plain. She was not asked how she likes it cooked, so it was too well done for her liking. It came with carrots and tzaki sauce. The carrots were not appealing looking at all. My friend had the chicken wrap. She likes it. It came with a sweet potato hash that she said looked good. I had the ancient grain bowl. I missed where it mentioned cilantro sauce (Bluch) but I was able to avoid it. I added tofu to mine. Again the food was tasty but lukewarm. Lukewarm seemed to be the theme. Our service was horrible. There was a large party of 10 and they sat after us, ate and left before us. The people next to us (with a small child) sat after is, ate, left for for us. When we paid, our server disappeared for quite some time before returning with our cards. All in all, it was a lukewarm experience. I appreciated that menu items were marked as gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan. I always appreciate as a vegan when I have choices other than a salad. However, I also appreciate service and it was so slow and pretty much nonexistent that we will not return. read more

Absolutely perfect and charming service from Bella our waitress. What a delight she was! The woman with glasses who calls herself "the assistant manager" of True Food is..."True DooDoo." If you want someone to completely ruin your meal and smile with delight while doing it--she's your gal. In our opinion she cheapened how wonderful and classy this restaurant could be. Unfortunately my family was very upset by this rude assistant manager who has no clue or understanding about empathy or customer service, how to speak to others, and how to make you feel good or put you at ease. A good manager would know how to listen and accommodate instead of hurl "policies about the restaurant" at you as our meal is literally being served. If you had done your rounds and were informed about the customers currently in your restaurant, you could have earlier helped inform us of your policy about dogs and we would have happily taken our business elsewhere. But if you tell us this as our food is being sat down in front of us, what exactly are we supposed to do about it? It seemed to delight you to upset us. What a shame. Hopefully you don't treat all of your guests with such hostility. Even the sweet bus boy was more kind, considerate, and helpful than the manager. We were honestly having an incredible experience until this woman shat on it. Please do better and maybe we would consider returning someday! read more

WoW for vegan and vegetarian food options, this place is pretty interesting. We went in a group of 5, early reservations for Mother's Day brunch. They do have a special brunch menu, as well as a spring menu that changes per season. It's a cute, open restaurant located in Boca Mall with an open kitchen and very friendly and kind staff. Very organic vibes. We started with drinks, the sangria, the pineapple orange mimosa was a tasteful play on the traditional mimosa, I had the honeydew mimosa which is very strong on the honeydew flavor, and he had the honeydew cooler - which I think was better than the mimosa bc it was almost like a honeydew lemonade (anything lemonade is always better - as of lately I've been having a lemon vibe). For appetizers we split the edamame dumplings and the seasonal chicken satay. I was very impressed with the dumplings. The filling was light green in color and edemame flavor but like stuffed pasta texture. It was different and exciting and a great tasting dish. I'd get one for myself as a small dish! The chicken satay flavor wise was as good as anywhere else, I really wanted to be vegan and vegetarian for the day but we had to rebel a little. But the dipping sauce that came with the satays was so good that we kept it for additions to our meals. It was a pumpkin seed salsa & amazing! Almost like a humid texture and it didn't even taste like pumpkin. I ordered the Sunrise Bowl (quinoa, mushrooms, sweet potato, avocado, an egg, and cilantro pumpkin seed pesto). It was amazing! The pesto sauce brought everything together. I really enjoyed this dish bc each item was very organic and true to its own taste. Simple and good. The pesto added great flavor to the dish. It comes with a side sauce that I really didn't need. I sampled the Vegan Chorizo Bowl (vegan chorizo which impossibly tasted great and seasoned well, yellow jicama slaw, DRIED corn, avocado, beans, radishes on top of some quinoa). SO goood. Surprisingly a great dish, with no meat. I sampled the Korean Noodles which was a hint of spicy for me but added well with glass noodles made of sweet potato! And the fish tacos were great tasting fish tacos with jicama slaw and really cool coconut lime yogurt that I originally mistaken for sour cream! read more
