We come back periodically to eat here since the food is guilt-free and healthy. However, it just never fully hits the spot for me. Parking in one of the Old Town parking structures or on the street. A block away by the bridge usually has plenty of parking options. We've tried various items on their menu - from burgers to pizzas, bowls, and more in various visits. Everything taste fine - we leave full but never feel fully satisfied. Staff is usually friendly - when it is busy, it is hard to wave someone down. There was one super slow afternoon that was super hot outside. The staff let us sit indoors with our very well behaved pup where there was air conditioning. That was truly appreciated! I will say - I am a huge fan of their edamame dumplings!

Everything we ordered was good. Not amazing but good. Felt high quality and healthy. Price point was a bit high for many items, portions moderate, and service became slow as they got busier.

Returned last night for a second visit as promised. The service here is always exceptional. I ordered: ROSÉ SANGRIA - $14.95 "la vieille ferme organic rosé, pineapple, lime." - True Food Kitchen menu TAHITIAN TOMBO TUNA POKE BOWL- $25.50 "regenerative black rice, avocado, roasted wild mushrooms, cucumber, jalapeño, edamame, pickled ginger, citrus ponzu." - True Food Kitchen menu The Rosé Sangria is good, but between that and the Passion Fruit Margarita, I highly recommend the Passion Fruit Margarita. I enjoyed the Poke Bowl as well. If you spot me at True Food, come and have a drink with me.

The food was to die for, the service was perfect, the vibe is so fun, and the restaurant and restrooms are immaculately clean. There is something for everyone here- they have the best salads and appetizers, clean/Whole Foods, Veg/Vegan/GF options and whatever else you could want. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TFK and I wish they had one in Ventura County! We ordered the hummus, edamame dumplings, and a burger and everything was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back!

I always want to try something new so my daughter picked this spot. I loved how everything looked. I liked the little candle on our table. So many food choices. I chose the pasta with the sausages hoping it was going to be spicy and it was, as you get closer to the bottom of your bowl. It was very filling. We sat outside, so it got chilly. I wish I had a sweater. They have indoor seating, but we got seated outside which was fine till it got cold. Service was good. The worst part was the parking. I should have looked for a cheaper spot instead of close to the restaurant. Oh well...

Recently had a chance to dine here. It's been here for ages, but never quite made it here until recently. On my visit, I was able to try a few dishes. + burger + hummus + edamame truffle dumplings + kale salad Out of all the items, my favorite was the edamame truffle dumplings. I probably personally wouldn't order the hummus again as it was a little too dry for me. The space itself is really nice and spacious. Located in Old town Pasadena, it's a great spot if you're looking for clean good eats.

This restaurant uses only avocado and olive oil when preparing their dishes. Unlike, similar establishments who use other seed oils, which are less healthy. I ordered a tuna bowl with black rice, edamame, jalapeños and avocado paste. I also ordered a side of roasted cauliflower. Each dish was flavorful and cooked perfectly. They have several locations, one being in Las Vegas. The menu is vast offering a variety of dishes.

This True Food Kitchen is located in the Old Town Pasadena area. There's parking structures nearby and street meter parking around the block. The service is excellent. We were seated with enthusiasm, and our server excelled in attentiveness and explaining recommendations. I got to try a variety of items. As an appetizer, the edamame dumplings were excellent - umami, somewhat nutty and creamy. However, it only came with five dumplings and was small for the price. As a side, the cheese mash potatoes were addictive! For entree, I got the jambalaya pasta which - it had spices, sausages, chicken, and bold flavors. For the pizza, I got the seasonal butternut squash raisin pizza - it tasted healthy, but was not for me. Overall, True Foods has a varied menu that can please all palettes. Their customer service is great, and their healthy seasonal plates are worth trying. I'd come back.

I come here often and the service, ambience and, most importantly, the food have been great! Ample outdoor seating so it's beautiful on a nice day out in Pasadena. I can't complain about any dishes I've had. If you're looking for an organic centered restaurant with delicious food, then I highly suggest you try True Foods Kitchen. I haven't been to other locations but I can say this one has been consistent for years. The one item of all the numerous dishes we've tried that was not a hit was the air fried potatoes. Reservations recommended for peak hours and weekends but a pleasant place to wait if needed. Doesn't have it's own parking lot so look for metered street parking or surrounding public parking lots. Great location at the end of Colorado shopping street so a good place to walk around after you've enjoyed your meal.

I've passed True Food Kitchen for years and was excited to finally give it a try! They have a variety of items on their menu that focuses on "healthier" ingredients and they clearly state the calories and protein for each item, which as someone who tries to eat high protein, I really appreciated. I ordered the lasagne al pesto, which had turkey sausage bolognese, pistachio pesto, organic spinach, ricotta, tresh mozzarella, basil. Overall, I wouldn't say I was mind blown with it, but it definitely satisfied my lasagna craving while not feeling incredibly heavy like a more traditional lasagna. I also ordered a carrot cake to go and I was pleasantly surprised by it considering that it was gluten free--it was still super moist and flavorful. The restaurant itself is beautiful--it's a great spot for date night or to catch up with friends. Service was also friendly. It's located in old town Pasadena, so street parking can be a bit tough, but there is a cheap structure nearby that you can park at.

I love coming to True Food Kitchen! The service and food are always excellent! I went with 2 besties to celebrate their birthdays. We shared the Spinach and Mushroom pizza. It was delicious with generous helpings of veggies and cheese. We each had the Ancient Grains Bowls, 2 as is, and one with Salmon added for an additional $10.95. We all devoured our bowls! My friends got complimentary desserts for their birthdays that they got to select from the dessert menu! Such a nice treat-flourless chocolate cake was decadent! The other dessert was the Cookie a la mode, which I did not try but looked yummy as well. Service was good, considering that the restaurant was hopping on a Sunday during lunch. The space is modern, clean and airy.

Food is excllent. The food mostly are vegan. I like the burger and the mushroom pizza. The place is pretty fancy. I really like the patio outside. They also have alchol bar. We can see clearly they open kitchen is pretty clean. Overall restaurant is huge and clean. Price is around 17-30$

Scampi Pasta, but I swapped the shrimp with chicken.

Food tastes great! Of the two, I would say the hummus dip was the best! The cracker was light and crunchy and perfectly balanced with the dip which had some lemon and other garnishes that really helped with the flavor. The pasta was good too, but I would say the chicken was a bit dry. Service was okay, would have to keep calling the server to refill our water.

I've had Cannonball on my list for a while, so once we put the baby to bed, I was ready for a martini and a night out. We were seated right away, and the host was really nice. We started with drinks -- I went with their house martini, which was exactly what I was in the mood for. Our server gave us a little insider tip and told us that if we wanted the biscuits, we should order them right away because they take a little time. Girl... those biscuits were SO good. I could have easily ordered another round. Warm, delicious, and absolutely worth the wait. We had the shaved celery salad with them, and I have to say, I'm not usually a big celery fan because I feel like it doesn't taste like much. But this salad completely changed my mind. It was light and refreshing with walnuts, dates, and a really beautiful dressing. Such a good combination of flavors and textures. The grilled shrimp with aioli were another standout. Those were ridiculous -- so flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also had the burger and hanger steak, although unfortunately I didn't get pictures of either. But the potatoes that came with the hanger steak deserve a special mention because they were INSANE. Everything was cooked beautifully. Our server was great throughout the meal, and overall it was just such a fun, relaxed date-night experience. I'd definitely come back, maybe for a girls' night next time. Our server was super friendly and attentive the whole night, gave us great advice on how much food to order, and checked in just enough. We had a couple of solid cocktails and kicked things off with the shaved celery salad and yellowfin tuna tartare. Both of those appetizers were 10/10. The mains (the trout and the chicken) were a little bit of a letdown by comparison, just feeling kind of average, but they were still fine. Just nothing to rave about. The spot has a really nice old-school vibe that felt right for a birthday dinner. Parking is a bit of a headache around there, but keep in mind there's a public parking garage right around the corner that's free on weekends and after noon on weekdays.

Food here is very safe, trite, hackneyed California cuisine beaten to death like a worn out horse. It's not really bad and not very good offending no one, but food that is boring and not particularly drop dead flavourful. I wasn't super hungry and decided to order more of the sides. 1) French Fries with some skin on, looking rustic, had a touch of that ineffable earthy potato flavour. Asked for extra crispy, but just got a bit crispy so their default fries must be rather limp. Standard ketchup in a steel ramekin. 2) Roasted Golden Beet & Arrugula Salad had sweet, softer, smooth texture, Arrugula had a fibrous, good green herbal, peanut oil scented flavour. Not too funky, creamy goat cheese. Roasted walnut halves. All napped with a subtle Champagne Vinaigrette. Portion was about half of what would be expected in other comparable restaurants. 3) Bread Pudding: The bread was spongy, moist, eggy almost like a flan but lacked a deeper dairy, milkiness as well as lack of hints of warm spices such as cinnamon, allspice, ginger, cloves. Bland would describe the general overall flavour. Topped with cream rich ice cream. Scattering of blueberry, blackberry, strawberry. At home, I drizzled on Grand Marnier for more citrus cognac aromatics. 1-3a) Iced Tea The food here seems to be the Midwest version of what California cuisine should be. Middle of the road, steady as she goes, don't rock the boat. Our waitress was efficient, helpful, thoughtful in a business-like manner which facilitated our group of 8. The male helper with a moustache and the inked hand was great at keeping our glasses topped off. 3 stars for a safe, not overly effusive food that does not offend. The outdoor optics holds the charm and strength of this restaurant.

It was not too cakey and was just the right amount of gooey. I would definitely recommend. For breakfast I chose the Carne Asada Chilaquiles and really liked them. The meat was perfect and I loved every part about it. I wish they would add a cream sauce or something else to lighten it up, but I still was a very big fan and would highly recommend. I will be back and would suggest this place to anyone in the area or passing through.

The checked-in staff were friendly and welcoming. As I walked in to be seated, I scanned the room looking for the beautiful Prita and was bummed when I didn't see her. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Then, as I scanned the room again, I was so happy to see Prita working that night. I wanted to go over and say hi, but since she was busy taking care of guests, I had to admire her from afar. To my complete surprise, Prita took over for our waitress during the second half of our meal, and I even got a hug from her. Yay! Dinner time! Let me try to remember what we ordered, since it has been almost a week. Appetizers Tomato Soup - $6.00 (x2) Steak Arugula Salad - $23.95 Drinks Hot Tea (mine) - $3.95 All Along the Watertower (mine) - $16.00 Lemonade - $6.95 Lemonade (to go) - $6.95 That girl robs me dry! :P The lemonade is homemade and blended, so I don't blame her. I mean I got 2 drinks. It's only fair. :) Entrées Truffle Mushroom Pasta - $19.95 Shrimp Pesto - $24.95 We shared both entrées. My daughter took a bite of the Shrimp Pesto and spent a long time savoring it. I asked, "What's wrong?" She said, "Do they make their own pesto?" I was impressed! I asked, "How do you know?" She replied, "I can taste the freshness and the texture." Wow! She's a true foodie. She's a much pickier eater than I am, so when I dine out with her... only quality restaurants! Dessert 83rd Birthday Sundae - $0.83 We had a great time! Yummy in our tummies!

The last time I was there, I had a Farmhouse Beets appetizer - roasted organic beets, lemon-oregano vinaigrette, feta, arugula, candied pecans - which was delicious. For the main course I got the Chipotle Chicken Club - chicken, bacon, avocado, jack cheese, red onion, chipotle aioli on ciabatta - really good and it also came with potato chips (were a bit too oily). For dessert, I had the Yuzu Olive Oil Cake - oh my, it was sooo good, loved it. Berry Lemonade was good but a little too sweet for my taste. Arturo was our server and was attentive and helpful. Overall, a really good experience. I'll definitely come back :)

There was a happy hour but you have to sit in the middle tall long table or at the bar on upper patio or inside to. Qualify for it from 3-6 We chose the booth and we ordered the mushrooms platter and done noodle salad. My mother got the Mediterranean white fish. The server Julian was really wonderful. I couldn't deceive on hot or cold coffee or cold brew and he brought me a sample of the cold brew with oat milk which I decided would be perfect. The done noodles salad was very flavorful, the ginger on top was a little hard to chew but the plant based vegan chicken was a great cutlet very savory. We will definitely return again.

The waitress politely told us that they would only seat us once the whole party was present, which was reasonable. When the whole party arrived, they seated us within 10 minutes. Ambiance: 4 out of 5 stars. The ambiance of the place was modern and casual. Food: 4 out of 5 stars. The restaurant focuses on farm-to-table and local sourcing. We ordered all three shareables and a few other dishes: Cold Sesame Noodle: 3 out of 5 stars. Even though it seems to be highly rated, I didn't really taste anything special. Roasted Squash and Kale Salad: 3 out of 5 stars. The taste is decent. I wish we had more squash. Not that tasty. It is difficult with all that kale. Mochi Pancake: 5 out of 5. We all loved the pancake, the jam, and the cream. Fried Chicken Wings: 5 out of 5. It is marinated, flavorful, and not greasy. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Breakfast Plate with Hanger Steak: 5 out of 5. The steak is perfectly cooked. The egg was soft and fluffy. Value: 4 out of 5 stars. For $28, I wish we got a larger portion of hanger steak. Other than that, good value. Service: 5 out of 5.

Service is really really slow. You may see 5 or 6 waiters on staff...but they aren't stopping at tables to check up on guests. Alot of them are just hanging around the bar or front desk chitchatting with friends. The food quality dropped tremendously. It tastes like bland bar food now. $19 for 2 meatballs laying in tomato paste....and they were not even room temperature. Felt like they had these already prepared and sitting somewhere, just waiting for the next guest to order them. Got a mojito that may have been mistaken for a "virgin" drink....cause no one at our table could taste any alcohol in it. They all said it was watered down mint with ice. I wish this place would go back 10 years and make it like "the spot you want to go to"....versus the spot you now avoid.
