Very delicious cheap hispanic food! The service is exceptional and I've never had any trouble with anything they've had to offer. The selection is excellent and the food is cooked with love. You know this place is definitely a mom/pop place that the owners pour their work and effort into all the dishes. For newbies I would highly recommend the pork or garlic chicken along with the side of rice and sweet plantains. They offer a variety of hispanic foods and honestly I've been thoroughly pleased with every dish I've tired here. If you're in the area this is definitely THE place to go for amazing cheap food. I love their food, but the service from the woman behind the register is always terrible. i asked a question today regarding a sign they had up and she answered me with a snarky attitude and essentially tried to tell me I can't read. I can read just fine. she just didn't have the patience to listen to me carefully and answer my question correctly. I'm a server. that is not how we treat our guests. they have a great lunch special which attracts a lot of people but the line is poorly maintained and people constantly skip the line. read more

This is a delightful restaurant. I had rice with beans as a base. Added were plantains and succulent pork. The food was served buffet style so you can pick the foods you prefer. Two stars means "I have experienced better" and this holds true to Tu Casa. The food is not bad by any stretch of the imagination. The price is very fair, especially when you look at the portions. But considering that most of the food sits out, the food doesn't taste particularly fresh. Giving this place is a five seems like an extreme for the quality of the food. Especially if you are Dominican. The place is good but some of the reviews are greatly exaggerated. This place doesn't taste like "home". It taste good but what do you expect from food that sits out. The tostones were very soft from sitting out. I would eat here again but only when I am nearby. I first went out of my way since I was craving "home" style food but was disappointed. So many moons ago I had the food at this location before it got renovated, and it was memorable. So I was in town and wondered if they were still open and boom they were and with an extension and renovated modern decor look. So you can either be seated to eat. Or take the line and take your order to go, leave or eat at an open table. They have several employees so the line moves fairly quickly. PRO TIP: The Pastelitos are normally served in the morning and later in the afternoon you go. Chances are they will be sold out. I ordered a medium rice and beans, pulled pork, and side of sweet plantains with a soda for $7.99. Note I love how they wrap your food to make sure it's all contained. (see pics). Upon tasting my food I still got those same flavors of traditional Hispanic cooking. Good spices, great aroma, and pork was very tender. I really don't understand why this place has so many good reviews and stars. First of all, the rice was grainy and tasteless. The pork lack seasoning as well. It needed more Adobo on it, If you know what I mean. The potato salad was good. However, the seafood salad was not worth it. The seafood salad that was served to me had 2 shrimps in it , and 2 pieces of imitation crab meat. Everything else was just peppers, onions, and tomato. Caribbean food is a staple in Orlando. At Tu Casa, tourists and locals alike ravish over the delicious meat plates at a ridiculously great price. A two-meat two-side plate is at most $8. My family sampled 4 different meat choices and all were flavorful. Seasoned well, the beef stew and the pernil (pulled pork) paired well on my plate. Another person ordered a Cubano sandwich--WOW, the portion was unreal! The Cubano honestly can be shared between two people for lunch. The arroz Amarillo was seasoned well and the Maduros--oh the maduros-- are ripe and fried just right. In a rush? Tu Casa has the option to order online! The roasted chicken was also seasoned quite well. Dessert is offered; the dessert case included Latin desserts and American desserts. The WORST SERVICE we have ever been given!!! The workers were so nasty and rude. After we got our food, we decided to eat at one of the tables. This is our go to place for Dominican food whenever we are in the area. Don't let the line intimidate you, brave through and order and you won't be disappointed. They have recently renovated their restaurant so everything is clean and decorated well. The food is hot and fresh like a home cooked meal. Their portion sizes are HUGE. You get three full scoops of rice when you get a platter and two full scoops of beans. The price for everything is so incredibly cheap. A friend brought me through Tu Casa tonight and it was pretty solid. Obviously Latin food is big here in Florida, so expectations are high... It's more high-end Latin fast food. Everything is sitting ready buffet style when you get there. I truly haven't eaten from a buffet in years for a multitude of reasons, I had some shredded beef, yellow rice and chocolate cake. The beef had good flavor... It was seasoned well and was very moist. I wasn't a fan of the rice, but most likely because it had been sitting on a buffet line for most likely a few hours. The chocolate cake I'm guessing came from a local vendor. It was good. Not great, but good. Staff was nice and attentive, and the restaurant is clean, so those are bonuses. If you're on a budget and want a solid Latin meal kind of in the airport area (about 6-7 miles away), then stop in to Tu Casa. read more

Swung by here for lunch on a Monday around noon. They are currently renovating so I am excited to see what it looks like when they are done! You order your food at the counter and each item is priced by the size of the container. I went with a coworker and ordered soup, maduros, tostones, pork, Latin lasagna, an avocado salad, and two bottles of water.
