    Lobster Risotto
    Thomas T.

The restaurant is beautiful with a yellow theme. There's outdoor seating and is just a step away from Main Street. Our server was really good and friendly. We got complimentary bruschetta that is toasted well and delicious. Tried the tuna ceviche for the first time. The lime juice gave it good flavor and was a good appetizer. The lobster risotto was delicious, the rice packed a ton of flavor and the grilled half lobster has a nice slight char flavor.

My mom and I went on a Friday night without a reservation and it was super busy which is always a good sign. There was lots of outdoor seating. Upon arrival, we didn't see the hostess for a good five minutes, but she was very friendly and accommodating once we connected with her. We got the perfect table outside. We were greeted with waters fairly quickly but noticed some floaters in our glasses. I wanted to mention this to someone, but no one else visited our table for at least ten minutes. My mom even got up to ask for a server. A gentleman eventually brought us bread and I asked if we could order but he did not take orders. We finally had a server come over and she was very nice and efficient and took care of us right away. I ordered the traditional ceviche and my mom had steak tips. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and both were delicious. I've had some pretty mediocre ceviche lately so I've been craving a quality ceviche and this hit the mark! My moms steak tips were tender and served with chimichurri and delicious potatoes. The food was noteworthy and there are definitely more menu items I would like to come back and try. The service has room for improvement which was my reason for the 4 Star rating.

    Eggplant Rollatini

I'll be generous and go with 4 stars but this was really like 3.5. We enjoyed their $1 oysters and our entrees. I had the eggplant rollatini and my fiancé had a salad with shrimp. My cocktail (blood orange martini) was tasty but my fiancé was underwhelmed with his pisco sour. So while we liked the food, there were some small flaws that made this not really a 4 star place. Chipped paint on some walls. The bathroom had both the paper towels and the toilet paper off the rolls, just sitting on fixtures. Service was okay but not particularly warm or friendly. I've wanted to try this place for a long time but it didn't live up to the high ratings, IMO. I'd come back for drinks and oysters maybe but am not running back.

    Jaela y ceviche

Came here at odd hour at 3 pm on monday for late lunch. We are the only customers. Chill relaxing ambiance We got free bruschetta with tomato on top. Super refreshing. Their empanada is excellent. It's similar with croissant but with fillings. I also ordered JALEA Y CEVICHE (Fried shrimp, scallops, fish, calamari, ceviche mayo, yuca fries, salsa criolla, traditional cheviche) it's a huge main serving, lucky that we share that. It ended up as assorted of appetizer for us. Their chevice is super awesome ! The only thing that's a bit meh is their yuca fries.

We had a wonderful dinner at Tumi. Our server, Sandra, was very helpful and super nice. The room is very cozy with lots of booths, which we prefer when we dine out. When I couldn't decide on a cocktail, Sandra readily recommended the Grapefruit Martini -- it was delicious and totally the right call, Hubby's Tito's Cosmo was also well-made. For dinner, Hubby had the Chicken Parm - it was enormous and delicious, chicken was cooked well and the homemade pasta was a perfect al dente. The sauce was very good, but there was too much cheese for his taste, an easy fix to move to the side. There was plenty to take home for a second meal so it was an even better value. I chose the Spinach Salad, which was fresh and tasty with artichokes and goat cheese. Again, it was a generous portion for a very good price. We rarely indulge in dessert but we were convinced to try the homemade Tiramisu and it was amazing, just the way I make it myself. It's very hard to find a Tiramisu that is so authentic. We absolutely recommend Tumi, based on our experience it would be had to make a bad decision from their menu.

Stopped by recently for lunch and had a positive experience. The food was really good. Service was on point as well even though it was pretty busy. Drinks were great also. Would definitely return when/if in the area.

    Octopus appetizer

This restaurant was fairly easy to find, with plenty of parking available. We were greeted right away when we walked in, and seated at a booth by the window. The color scheme and decor have more of a Peruvian flair with Italian accents, and the menu is a pleasant mix of both. As a complimentary starter, the server brought two pieces of bruschetta, which were warm, and very flavorful. We started with the octopus appetizer (so excited to see this on the menu), which was delicious. It's wood grilled, with huacatay sauce, roasted potatoes, and an arugula onion salad. So delicious, flavorful, and the octopus was cooked perfectly. For lunch, I had the fettuccine a la huancayna, which was phenomenal - homemade pasta, pancetta, aji Amarillo cream sauce - it's a slightly spicy yellow pepper sauce that is very flavorful and dynamic. My mom had the chicken saltimboca, which came with asparagus, tasty fingerling potatoes, plenty of prosciutto and spinach, in a Marsala sauce. It was also very good. Looking forward to coming back here and trying more of the menu!

It's an island on an island, stocked with a taste of home for many. There's loroco in jars, loroco frozen, baked goods, fresh avocados, many kinds of fresh quesos, masa, dried beans, guanabana drinks, candy, health food products / medication, lottery tickets and cigarettes. The store can help you wire money to loved ones far away and really seems to serve as a community hub in so many ways. I go every year for my pupusa fix. You'll want to call ahead for them since they make them to order and they take about 20 minutes. Or you can get them from the freezer case to make at home (about $10 for a four pack). I picked up a daily special of carne asada on a recent visit, which came with white rice; a whole pickled jalapeno; two thick, Salvadoran style tortillas; black beans; grilled scallions; and iceberg lettuce / tomato / cucumber / lime. The carne was reasonably tender, but definitely not something one should try to attack with a plastic knife and fork. It's the kind of place that makes me feel embarrassed that I speak Spanish on a Sesame Street level since everyone is a native speaker -- but folks are awfully nice nonetheless. Service runs on island time, or even a bit slower, but no one seems to get upset. This place is such a treasure.

The service has always been a focus and Anastasia (one of the owners) clearly dedicates herself to training her staff to the high standards that she models every night. Myself and my extended family have been repeat customers ever since Ryan and Anastasia opened Casa del Cabo and we have never had a bad night. Tonight was no exception with respect to the food, service and the entertainment (shout out to Derek!!) but sadly there was a couple who could not seem to grasp that when nature (over which NO human has control) literally rains on their parade and had a major toddler size tantrum directed at Anastasia in full view and earshot of the other diners in the outside dining area. Unnecessary, unpleasant and unfortunate. They had the temerity to take her picture and still she maintained her composure and professionalism. When I arrived, there was a very sweet older lady at the counter who greeted me. I knew I wanted to get food to go so I was kind of in a rush due to being tired from the ride. I ordered chicken breast, yellow rice with beans and sweet plantains. The woman (the hunger in me did not allow me to ask what her name was) took my order and said that the chicken and plantains would take a few minutes because they had to be cooked. Which was ok with me; I did desire fresh food. The food was cooked in no time. The woman was so sweet because she didn't charge me extra when I changed my white rice to yellow rice - I did leave a nice tip though. Fast forward to when I got home to eat: the food was FREAKING AMAZING! And, it was plentiful! Enough for leftovers for tomorrow! If I could give 10 stars, I would have! It was probably some of the best Dominican food I'd ever had! I will be back! The physical place itself is basically no-frills but the food makes up for all of that! 5 stars!

They've remodeled the interior since I had seen it last, and I really like the paradise-like vibe they portray. The open air environment was neat, but it was a little hot that night. They also had live music and entertainment, so that was enjoyable. My only complaint there is that it was very loud, difficult to hear conversations at the table. Our serve was super friendly, gave excellent details about each special and took his time with our table. Very personable. I ordered the Salmon Aymara and it was delicious! The salmon was cooked nicely and seasoned with some really tasty spices. Asparagus was the vegetable of the day, which is one of my favorites, and that paired with the chaufa rice and béarnaise sauce made for an amazing combination of flavors. The ambiance (and the service) is the star of the show at Los Andes. The relaxing South American music, the koi pond, the hum of happy diners all contributed to a lovely atmosphere. Our server was a true delight, very attentive, making great recommendations. We did not order desert but one of our party had a birthday and when we informed him we had no room for desert he brought out a plate with happy birthday drizzled in chocolate with a small mound of whipped cream and a strawberry. A very nice touch. I ordered a steak dish with the goal of getting as many South American flavors in my dish as possible- it came with a delightful cold salad, very good chimichurri, fried yuca, and a side of cheesy rice. The steak was cooked rare to my liking, which isn't always the case. It was a lot of food, beware. We started with some empanadas- which were also good, and this made it a Thanksgiving level feast. My party also enjoyed their dishes. Overall it was a lovely dinner! We look forward to returning.
