A nostalgic place I loved the Ambience, this place is sweet and chic. Loved the traditional Dynasty turquoise color. The plates are attractively served. I loved the flavor of the meats. I enjoyed the vegetable perfectly cooked not over nor under cooked. I was disappointed in the rice. I love rice and in the tradition the rice is the 1st possibly the 2nd most important part of the meal. Therefore I was a tad sad. Our server was very friendly, quite apologetic about the slow service, and may or may not have been high. But lovely woman regardless. Service was slow A they were clearly understaffed and people were doing their best. No complaints. Ok so the food. Greek Salad - very fresh ingredients. Crispy bell pepper, onion was crunchy and sweet, and presentation was lovely. It really needed salt, seemed to be VERY lightly dressed (too light for my taste, you might like it tho). The other angry review is correct - there's no lettuce. It's fine. It's got great produce in it. I added a koobideh kebab. I loooove me a kefta or koobideh kebab. This one was gross. The texture was VERY fine (not my preference, but not an overall knock) but there was no flavor. None. It tasted like it had been steamed without seasoning. I got this instead of the lamb because I saw a review saying that tasted boiled. Well, my friends, joke was on me because this tasted boiled too. I didn't get sick, but while I was eating it was wondering if I would. Hummus - delicious. The bread it comes with though is VERY thin. It's cute. Looks like little crepe paper squares. It's tasty too. But like everything here seems like it's been made by a Manhattan beach mom trying to stay under 800 calories. Went here for my work holiday party a couple years ago and absolutely loved it. The service was really spot on. We felt like VIPs. The food was incredible. A beautiful Sunday at lunch we sat outside at the most beautiful restaurant with so many gorgeous turquise details. My mom got the salmon panini, I got the koubideh rice plate and my daughter got the tofu plate and we had the hummus to share. Ice tea I loved but my mom needed sugar. I don't often write reviews but I felt the need to write one for this restaurant. I had a wonderful time on Saturday despite the extremely busy atmosphere, service was still attentive. The only complaint I have is not about the food or the service but a certain group of customers that came in and disrupted my previously relaxing and tasty meal with their grating voices. They were so disrespectful and rude that not one, not two, but three staff members had to intervene to calm the customers down. One of the customers, a woman immediately went up to the waiters with flames in her eyes, blabbing about how they had to sit outside, which would've been a grace to both I and the other customers sitting inside. I also heard one of the women say something like "Don't speak to us like we're farm animals!" which made me both roll my eyes and stifle a laugh. It was such a dramatic and pathetic display. A complete overreaction. The waiters were all calm and respectful, they repeatedly apologized for the misunderstanding while also backing themselves. This only made me appreciate the staff more. They were all super nice and polite towards me and the other patrons. Plus the food was very good. I will definitely be heading back there for that hummus. read more

She ordered a salmon pesto wrap and I ordered a ahi tuna sandwich both dishes were served with fresh salad an amazingly Japanese pickled young ginger roots. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious place is clean service was great. The owner came to each table to greet and chat a little. When he noticed that I love the ginger roots he refilled it and explained why he served the ginger roots with the fish sandwiches. I had eaten in the Riviera Village many times before Covid because I live nearby. Last weekend I went to have a lunch in the Riviera Village and I saw a restaurant that reminded me of one of the top Italian Restaurant at the coastal city in Italy. Decorated in a wonderful taste with giant size ceramic pots in Turquoise color, all filled with fantastic flowers arrangement and high quality umbrellas in turquoise color, very elegant tables and chairs all in turquoise color. I was seated on a small terrace by a very friendly gentleman who was the owner, (by the name of HAMID) and looked at the menu, to my surprise they had fantastic menu at a great prices, so I ordered my food and yet another surprise the food was great and I decided to have a dessert, again I was surprised, they had a genuine Persian Zafaran Ice-cream and the presentation was so beautiful and the Ice-cream was so delicious. I said to myself that, I am going to right about this restaurant and let my neighbors go and try what really a good food and, fantastic service and great price are. Our friend took us to Turquoise for dinner and we loved it. It's in "downtown" Redondo Beach - just a few blocks from the beach. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, which matches the laid back beach vibes of Redondo Beach. There are ample socially distanced tables inside and patio seating to accommodate COVID-19 measures. The food was excellent. Their signature hummus is truly unique - it contains pomegranate molasses and crushed walnuts which gives it tart / sweet flavor and a light and airy consistency. The accompanying lavash bread was fresh and a perfect complement to the hummus. My wife had the lamb kabob and thought it was excellent - the lamb is from New Zealand and slow roasted and marinated to make it soft and juicy. Our friend had the chicken kabob, which was also juicy, tender and had just the right amount of seasoning. I had the salmon dish, which was flavorful with lemon and capers. Although the salmon was a solid dish, I would stick with more traditional Mediterranean dishes as they were more distinguished from other restaurants. Side dishes were roasted vegetables and basmati rice pilaf. The roasted vegetables were fresh and not overcooked, so they had some crunchiness and texture. The rice was pleasant. Turquoise's flavors tend to be more subtle, which allows the quality of the ingredients to really shine through. Other Mediterranean restaurants may add more seasoning to cover up the quality of the ingredients. We really enjoyed the hospitality. Hameed, the owner, came and personally greeted the table when we sat down and thanked us for our visit when we were leaving. He radiated a warmth and sincerity which indicated he really enjoyed having people at the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. read more

I am in Redondo Beach for month and a half. I have been going to this restaurant almost 3 to 4 nights a week since I have been staying in a hotel .
