I was interested in the Cadillac CT5. Mainly due to the 10-speed transmission that comes standard, and the front end styling, as it has a cool smiley face. After doing my research, I wanted a CT5 that does not come with a sunroof. So the best chance for that combination would be the base Luxury trim. Tustin Cadillac was the only dealership that had the specific Luxury trim, other dealerships around me had the Luxury trim but usually with the added sunroof option. It helped also that Tustin Cadillac did not add markup adjustment to the vehicle, and no ridiculous extra dealer add ons added to the car like nitrogen tires, alarm system, and door protection film to name a few. Since there were no CT5 in stock yet when I first made the inquiry, Stephanie kept me informed on the availability regularly. Once it arrived, she asked if I wanted to purchase the car, and have it delivered to my place in San Diego. I decided to visit the dealership instead to look and test drive the car with Damian. I liked how the car drives, and since the dealership gave me a fair price after some negotiation, I decided to purchase it. Fay, the Finance Manager, was also nice as she isn't too pushy when selling the extra maintenance option, and was flexible with the payments method. Overall, very happy with the purchase process as Tustin Cadillac made it easy for me, but most importantly the price they gave to me was fair. Will certainly purchase a future car there again as there are not a lot of fair & honest dealerships these days. What a disappointment. Came in to see the XT4. Dealership is under remodeling, so there are ZERO new cars on the lot, had to ask the service department if there were any cars, they walked us inside, past a bunch of people waiting for their car repairs, into a hall, and then he turned around to tell us they were all in a meeting and not available... Ok, maybe this is just a temporary thing I think... So, I ask the service guy about the service department (since I can't see a car, or talk to a salesperson) I asked about "loaner cars" and he said NO, if you needed a loaner after purchasing a new Caddy, it was a 1 month waiting time due to low inventory. Is Cadillac's supply chain THAT impacted, STILL??? Clearly, this dealer, or maybe the entire brand isn't interested in new buyers. Quite different than the Lincoln brand. I think there is another dealer in south Orange County, maybe I will check there... This was a terrible first impression to my real world exploration of the Cadillac brand. We called the day before and I listened to the guy on the phone be condescending to my wife and not listen as he kept forgetting why we were calling, what kind of car we were calling about , and the type of service that was and was not needed for our car. This morning I decided to drive in with my wife in my own car, I had a gut feeling something would go wrong. Luckily I did, because the loaner on the mail marketing that we called in for the day before and talked about wasn't available. My wife pulled up to the service area where there was no line. Got out of the car and waited for me to walk up before she left our 1 year old unattended. When I got there, I saw as she walked into the office three employees ignored her. Two were on phones. 1 was on a computer. They just ignored her for a couple of minutes. I don't think anyone should have to go in to a service department and feel like a bother to kids not doing anything. I want to share the feedback that after reading multiple reviews here and experiencing it myself that there seems to be no expectations set, so accountability held, no professional management or leadership involvement. I literally saw kids with no care in the world of how they represent the brand that compensates them and zero worry of any repercussions for working at such an unacceptable level It's unfortunate that the service we received when making a purchase was the complete opposite of this much simpler but horrible experience. Took our 22 Escalade (which is still under warranty) because we had a leak in the air conditioning unit and oil leak and the drivers side mirror would click and make noise while trying to close. They checked the car and said nothing was wrong with that air conditioning, the oil. And they said the mirror had a little mark on it so they would not fix it. We have never hit the mirror on anything and we could not find any mark they were talking about. So they refused to fix anything. What a waste of time. So we it took it to Riverside Cadillac and they Saw all of the problems and are going to fix everything. read more

Placed a 'preorder' for a Lyriq back in 2022. Cadillac was slow to roll out the vehicle but once they started delivering to dealership, I expected Tustin Cadillac to reach out to me when they get the vehicle. Each time I asked for status, I was told they haven't gotten an allocation yet, which was fine since Cadillac were mostly shipping Luxury 1 and 2 (I eventually converted my order to a Luxury 3 AWD). Months went by, no word from the dealership. Occasionally I'll check their inventory and I would see vehicles that match my criteria, but I never heard a peep from them. I cancelled my preorder out of frustration after not hearing anything for 3 years. We excitedly put a deposit down for a LYRIQ. Waited 14 months while only receiving notice that there would be further delays. One day we receive a phone call from the Tustin Cadillac dealer letting us know they had a LYRIQ but in a different color. We did purchase the car from them. Unfortunately the excitement was short lived. We have had to take it in multiple times (6-8) to have them reset or work on the information center of the car. The Tustin dealership is not well equipped with customer service/care. Each time we go we have had to take time off from work. Have had the inconvenience of not getting a loaner or having to rent a car because the dealership does not have enough cars to lend out. Along with them telling us they don't know what the problem is and have only one tech trained to work on these cars. They have kept our car at times for a week. The original model that came out late 2023 has lots of technical problems. These were the original models and had not been properly tested. We have had two friends that purchased our same car a few months ago and they appear to have resolved some of the issues our car still has. Oh and put some additional upgrades our car sadly does not have. Sadly we are coming to the realization that we purchased a lemon. To top it off they have the most undesirable charging stations set in the most unappealing parts of town. Some I would say are unsafe. The charging mechanism on this car is another let down. It takes so long to charge. Lucky for them most customers I would say do not take advantage of the free charging credit because of the lack of charging stations along with the long wait time for a full charge. Oh and I have to mention the undesirable locations of the charging stations. That is literally a scam. If you are purchasing a LYRIQ opt for the charging station to be installed at your home if they offer it as a sales tactic. Our sales person talked us out of it and highly recommend the free charging at their desired locations for two years. We have used it once and only got 20% in a 45 min time period. We have had the car for a little over a year and when we purchased the car they were remodeling the dealership. That dealership is a complete slum. The sales office is so under kept. It is dirty and much to be desired. This was our first experience with owning a Cadillac and our first experience at this dealership. I would highly suggest you do your research before buying this car and opt for another dealership. The Tustin location is awful and you deserve to be taken care of like a luxury car client. read more

2016 Escalade bumpy ride. Sent it to service. Jeff called me and said that rear shocks need to be replaced, estimate around $1,000. I think it is not too far away from local shops and said yes. When I pick up, I found that the parts is $1995.86 plus tax, and plus $400 labor. The parts cost around $400-600 a pair from local shops. It is cost $495 from the GM official website. But, I had to pay 2395.86 for the shocks! Ridiculous!!!!! I really disappointed about Tustin Cadi and will never trust this dealer again.!!!!!!! read more

Since when do auto mechanics bill the same hourly as an attorney? Absolute horrible experience. Brough my XT5 in for transmission related concerns and they refused to look at transmission until I purchased a new battery from them. While the price of the battery was reasonable, the price is outrageous for installation and they refused to look at the transmission without me purchasing a new battery. They charged me $150 for labor to install a simple battery located under the hood. Why would it take a dealership longer to install a battery than it would my 8 year old son? Oh thats right, they are charging $200 a hour. Their install fee is $50 more than the Cadillac dealerships in Costa Mesa and Buena Park quoted me for the same battery. Also, I was quoted $20 from Midas and $25 from Purrfect Auto repair shops which are a mile away. But here is the big question...Why would I be required to install a new battery for a service request on a transmission that is under warranty? When I asked Ruben that, he responded by saying "I don't make the labor here, like I said anything that's wrong with your vehicle to even check here is $200 an hour and its going to go up". (see text message below) Clearly they must be very desperate for business to take advantage of people like this. Needless to say I will take my car to Costa Mesa or Buena Park for any warranty related work. I would also add that they tried to charge us $600 to install a mirror housing on the passenger door of our car last month. Midas did it for $170. It took 4 months to replace a leaf spring. The custom rim required 2 weeks to ascertain they lacked ability to install, as well, as checking a coolant light. They lied about alignment, as all readings were in the red. After forced to pay the deductible prior to all these gruesome discoveries, I was granted permission take my car to install the rim, waited all day for the alignment and a feeble cleaning attempt. My rental was overdue, they'd promised a loaner and lied about that. They also broke my manifold cover, which was fine before, stained the surrounding carpet and my discontinued, spotless OEM driver mat I keep covered with others, and left greasy marks all over inside. I stopped payment, as costs are far in excess of $500 to repair their damages and properly complete the job. The discontinued mat, manifold cover, and door handle sensor can only be located (with great luck) in a salvage yard. Signature synced the TPMs they failed to, as I predicted, after exceeding my 120 day rental expired. Not to speak of the prolonged inconvenience. I went in twice last week begging to return to Signature for rim installation, but they refused. UNTIL TODAY WHEN IT WAS TOO LATE. They also failed to advise the brakes need replacement during their "all points inspection!" It was Signature Tire & Wheel who brought ALL this to my attention, mounted the rim they're unable to, claiming they lack the proper equipment. They adjusted the 20 and 40 PSI to the correct 30 and addressed the faulty coolant light Tustin was unable to do! They're also trying to procure a manifold cover. Also, my driver door sensor was inoperative last time I picked it up, (assured it's safe with the body riding on the tire, wearing out the wheel well liner). NOT. Then, without notice, I was forced to crawl through to drive, but fortunately Auto Zone temporarily solved that issue by swapping sensor with the passenger side! Sooo...they're rather inept at just about everything. And again, I have a MYRIAD of new issues suddenly I didn't have before! I'm shocked they were able to R&R the leaf spring I procured, they couldn't, being discontinued as well. It was due to my experience of owning a wheel, tire and repair shop, and knowledge that the suspension is identical to the Corvette C6, that I was able to locate the leaf spring they finally installed. At this juncture, the only task performed without issue... so far. They've been through 3 managers since my car was there 4 months. And act like they're doing a favor by working on XLRs: claiming: "they lack the technology and knowledge to do anymore." (Just like why NASA 'can't return to the moon!') Lol read more

RO 234678 Well unfortunately I was scammed again. I gave up on using this dealership for any of my needs. However they called me to schedule a service. I decided to give them another shot since it had been so long. I told them I don't need a service, but I do need to get the CUE screen repaired under warrantee as it had recently failed, a very common issue with these screens. They told me that the soonest a loaner would be available would be about a month away. I told them that was fine as the issue was not critical. The day of my appointment, I brought my Escalade in, told them about the screen, asked for an oil change and also told them there is a loud squealing in the right rear quarter panel when the heat or ac is on thats been going on for a couple years. They told me they would look into everything. Once I got to the counter, I was told no loaner cars were available, but not to worry, Hertz is around the corner and my warrantee covers that. A Hertz employee picked me up and got me situated. 2 days later I received a call from my "service advisor". He was laughing and said that the squealing in the back was from a receipt DEEP down the duct and that they will put it on the front seat. He also informed me that the warrantee would not cover, since it was my fault and it would be $235. I told him thats fine as long as the sound is gone. I didn't really care what was causing it. I asked about the screen replacement and they said they were still waiting on approval from the extended warrantee company (I purchased this from them when I bought the Escalade there originally). 4 more days passed and I was called to be told the company was covering the screen, but they were only covering 4 days for the rental! It had already been 6 days... I told him maybe he could ask for more time since it took the company 6 days to approve the repair. He said he did and they denied. He did offer me to drive there and swap out for a loaner car, however I was set for an appointment with a customer I could not miss. He told me my Escalade would be ready the following day and I said I would just pay for the additional day, it wasn't worth risking it with my customer. The following day I called and left messages multiple times. I did get a call later in the afternoon that Fed X "Lost" my screen and it would be another day. I was offered a loaner again, so I did drive there and swap the rental. I got the loaner and left. 2 more days went by and I was called late on friday that my Escallade was ready for pickup. I was already at my cabin for the weekend, so I told them I would be by on monday to get my Escalade. Monday came, I dropped off the loaner and picked up mine. The bill was $688.55. Keep in mind a replacement screen is only $60 on amazon and takes about 1 hour to swap. I was charged $235 for the receipt in the vent and $216 for the Hertz rental because the dealership did not have a loaner as promised. I paid with a smile and left. I got into my car and saw the receipt. It was only about a month old. I immediately thought, how could this cause the noise for years? I looked down and saw a bolt on the floor mat that I assume was from the screen repair? I started the engine, drove away and the noise started instantly. I took a recording of it and texted it to my service advisor (Wish I could include it here). I did not hear back from him. I called two times the following week and received no call back. I called and left a message for the manager, received no call back. I emailed the manager at petern@tustincadillac.com, received no email back. I called my service advisor again and left another message. He did call back this time later in the afternoon, no apology, just asking when I wanted to bring it back in. At this point I just said it's probably best to just refund me the $235 diagnostic fee that was clearly never done. He said he would get back to me. It's been over a week, no refund, no call.
