Great breakfast spot in walking distance from all the downtown NOLA hotels. Theres a longline that forms each morning but theyre usually good at cycling patrons in and out, so the wait is bearable. The service and food was great. My partner and i had the grits bowl, pancakes and french toast. (All delicious). Id recommend this place if you want a regular american breakfast with a hint of southern hospitality baked in.

Walking in, I really enjoyed the eclectic funky ambiance with lots of plants. We sat comfortably at a booth and were greeted with menus right away. Overall the service was great and friendly! The food was very good as well. We shared a crab cake benedict with cheesy grits. The grits were amaaaazing - don't need to add a single thing to it! I would've preferred the crab cake benedict served on a traditional English muffin. I get they're trying to make it different but served on a croissant didn't provide enough of a texture difference to make it really great.

This place is highly rated for a reason. The menu is small but hits on everything. Traditional American breakfast or NOLA breakfast... you get both here. Especially like that Two Chicks is literally around the corner from the NOPSI. The food here tastes better and offers a more filling menu for the morning after a night on Bourbon. I actually ate here nearly every morning of my stay in NOLA. Thank me later

Great service they said 20 minute wait but they called us in about 14 minutes Sunday at 1pm. I order potato bowl scrambled with add of andouille extra charge for meat addon. My wife got build your own omelet. We also got Bloody Marys they were very flavorful with pickle okra and green beans. Potato bowl was delicious and eggs were cooked perfect a little creamy. The Gruyère cheese was at the bottom which was weird I have not seen cheese at the bottom of a dish, the food was flavorful and we will be back. Depending on your preference the roasted potatoes are larger than I prefer or than I have seen on many menus, they were good, but it made me full which allowed for taking leftovers home for breakfast tomorrow. Thanks for new and wonderful food experience. The decor and ambiance was nice and fun.

This is a solid breakfast spot that does their own Cajun twist on breakfast classics! Starting with the atmosphere, it is cozy and eclectic. Many plants, fun lighting, and art. The house-made drinks were also pretty nice. You can tell they were more than just syrup thrown in lemonade or sweet tea. The breakfast poboy is very filling and meaty! It was delicious. The under the sea omelette was stuffed with lots of seafood and the shrimps in it were a good size. It was veggie heavy with lots of bell peppers. The pancakes were okay, not the best nor worst, a bit dense. Service was just fine, not good nor bad.

What a little gem we found in the CBD. The service we received was great. Our servers made great recommendations and my coffee cup was never empty. The decor is super fun and unique. The food was some of the best breakfast food I have had (in New Orleans or otherwise). The only thing I was disappointed about was that I didn't find this place until the day before I was leaving so I only got to eat here twice.

We were actually referred to this spot very last minute before our flight back home. Definitely one of the best places we ate at the whole trip. The service was good, restaurant was clean and food was delicious. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and so good. The French toast and scrambled eggs were great and the smoked turkey was good. The grits were nice and smooth. Food was definitely top 2.

I went here twice during my stay in New Orleans. I went in with an appetite and the moment I saw the food, my stomach shrunk - there's no way I'm going to finish that. I ate slowly and managed to accomplish it both time. The french toast was perfect and not soggy on the inside as happens with some FT. The second time was the seafood omelette (omelet), with shrimp (not the bay shrimp) and fresh crab meat, tomatoes, cheddar cheese & bell peppers. Slow and steady won the race.

Great location in the CBD of downtown New Orleans. Street parking is avaliable with plenty of nearby self-parking garages. I love all their food items that I have thus far but I am obsessed with the Green Blast! Its the ginger for me! Warm and welcoming staff.

This restaurant was very close to the hotel we were staying at , and every morning there was a long line outside of the restaurant. We waited about 30 min to get seated, and had to wait quite awhile for the food to come out - hence the one star deduction. We started with the iron chick juice and strawberry banana smoothie, don't really think it was worth the price though. I ordered the bbq shrimp grits and my husband ordered the crab cake Benedict. Everything was delicious! Would highly recommend if you have time to spare!

You're going to see a line out the door because this place is amazing. Don't be shy though, they move tables pretty quickly so expect a 15-20 minute wait on weekends. You won't be rushed either. This team of amazing ladies run a very efficient restaurant. Came here twice for brunch and I suggest you do the same. Highly recommend the French Toast if you have a sweet tooth. Definitely coming back here next time I'm in New Orleans. read more

Amazing breakfast/ brunch spot. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. The food was made so quickly! We ordered fresh orange juice, coffee and a make your own omelette with jam, bacon and cheese and it was unreal. Big portions, which is always a great sign. I recommend getting the side of roasted potatoes, so good!!! In our four day visit to NOLA we ate here twice because it was that great! read more

Although a pretty simple and straightforward menu, each dish my family and I got were delicious. I opted for the hatchery sandwich with sausage and it was a perfect breakfast sandwich and well-balanced with the vegetables and creamy cheese. We also got the traditional Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was well-seasoned and paired well with the dish. For drinks we got the orange juice and strawberry banana smoothie which were both undeniably fresh, but I will say the smoothie was on the thicker side. Service was very kind, attentive, and quick and the space felt super cozy and welcoming which I loved. Overall, I'd definitely recommend if in the CBD or French Quarter area! read more

Everyone working here are great. We felt sooo welcomed and they gave us great customer service. The food was great portion and great taste. Our server Ashley was super nice, and a great waitress. She filled up our coffees all the times, she was super careful to bring us clean plates, taking away the extras and doing all that a great waitress would do. Breakfast on point! Food: I had the grits bowl, added ham and bacon. Over easy eggs, and many this thing was amazing. Everything cooked perfect, and the bowl is huge!! So much for going light on breakfast lol delicious! Atmosphere: typical cute little breakfast spot, not many seats but cozy and decorated inside. Yesterday had the crab cake Benedict. It was good. Came over a croissant which was a nice change from the English muffin. I couldn't tell where the spicy kick was coming from-- the hollandaise sauce or the crab cake. Either way, had good flavor. Creamy grits were the bomb! Husband had the potato bowl with andouille sausage, and he loved it. Server was super sweet, attentive, and friendly. Quaint atmosphere. Overall, good place for breakfast and lunch. read more

Well....Yelp seems to have deleted my previous review of Two Chicks Cafe, but that's okay: It gives me a chance to once again say how much I love this place. Everything about it is just awesome. I have to start with the people. Everyone is smiling, no matter how busy they are. The place has a great vibe (partly due to those smiles). The food is amazing. Admittedly, I usually do take out for lunch, but even that is amazing. You know how your take out food is always sloppy and seems like less thought was put into it? Not here! When I get back to my office with a sandwich and side salad, after a 3 block walk, I still have a neatly put together sandwich with a side salad that's on the side. My go-to items are their amazing mixed green salad with shrimp, and the chicken club sandwich, but their turkey fig and chicken panini are also great. But did I mention the people? If you want to have a real feel good meal, this is your place. Be aware, on a good day, they get packed (but they're still smiling). And yes, I'll be there today!! read more

We tried to come to this place a few times but the line was around the block. Finally we stopped by on a slower weekday and were able to get right in. The house made juices were a great touch and tasty and much needed after a week in NOLA. Our friend got the French toast and it looked amazing! We got the build your own omelette and breakfast po boy and both were good. Huge portions and good service! read more

I went here in search of the perfect french toast. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me. I had the basic breakfast (idk the proper name) and upgraded my toast to the Pappa's French toast. From the reviews, I knew the texture would be out of the norm so although I wasn't a fan, I knew it was what I signed up for. The miss came from the lack of flavor. It was textured bread. Nothing more. The strawberries (and I subbed blueberries for bananas) really helped give it some type of a flavor profile. But still, it's a no. Overall, the rest of the breakfast was ok. There was one star tho! The andouille sausage! Delicious! Service was ok, but I did arrive 7 minutes before closing. Server was annoyed, I could tell. Server tried to be cordial, but her disdain showed through. Overall, this was the most underwhelming experience of my trip. I had some phenomenal food during my stay. Also, keep in mind that 90% of my rating is for the Pappa's French Toast. read more

Two Chicks Café is the place to eat breakfast in the area. It is small and gets packed but they keep the operation efficiently moving. The French Toast is delicious and you can even get it as a side instead of regular toast which is awesome. The pancakes are plentiful and are cooked to perfection. The omelettes are fluffy and will leave you stuffed. They also have fresh squeezed juices along with cocktails. This place is highly recommended but come early or expect to wait since it is somewhat small inside. read more

Delicious!! Came for breakfast as it was around the corner from our hotel. It was a short wait before we were seated as a party of two. Our waitress was very kind and we didn't feel rushed to order. Nice choice of morning cocktails and fresh juices. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered Crab Cake Benedict and Veggies Benedict and both were perfect! The service exceptional. Plenty of variety for food items and inexpensive but well made bloody Mary's. The place was nice. This is the only restaurant I have been to where the servers ask if you want coffee or water to go.. I was hoping they would ask if I & my brother Mark wanted a Bloody Mary to go and we were not disappointed - they did and we both took one to go. Great place. read more

Stopped by Two Chicks one morning while visiting New Orleans and I'm so glad I did. Great space, really good food and loved the environment. Environment Located in downtown New Orleans, you might miss it if you're not paying attention (don't miss it!). Really cute establishment with plenty of dining space but I heard that they do get packed for brunch during most days. I was lucky enough to go at a time where I was able to just walk right in. Lovely place with a great relaxed ambiance - you can come in with family and friends or by yourself with a book. Service The service was warm and welcoming. My server made sure I had everything I needed and was very quick and efficient in providing service. Very friendly and had great energy. Food and Drinks The food was really good. I had the pancakes, grits and scrambled eggs with a mocha and orange juice. Pancakes -- really fluffy and tasty - its hard to make bad pancakes but some people find a way. These were really good and warm and did the trick Scrambled eggs -- I got them with cheese and scrambled soft. They were very good and flavorful. Not too runny and made just right. Grits -- grits can be tricky and I'm usually very picky about them but they did a overall good job with them! Very savory - i would order again. Mocha and Orange juice - the orange juice was good and the mocha wasn't sweet enough for me so I may go for something else next time. Overall I loved this place. Overall the food was great and good quality and I loved the atmosphere. I would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. read more

**Vegetarian Review** Veggie Benedict: C I was excited to try their veggie Benedict because most places almost never have Benedict sans ham so I find myself constantly modifying it. While I liked the Cajun hollandaise, I didn't like the veggies with it. It came with a mixture of onions (lots of it), bell pepper, spinach, and fresh tomatoes over a croissant. I've never had a Benedict over a croissant as I prefer a heartier bread like toasted sourdough or an English muffin since the veggies made the croissant mushy. The side choices are potatoes, fruit or grits. While I don't get grits, I was really hoping I'd get yummy crispy potatoes. They were a mush mess that tasted like they boiled it with herbs and over salted it. If I were to get it again, I'd ask for a different bread, hold the veggies but keep the spinach, and choose a fruit side. Green Blast Juice: A A fresh blend of kale, spinach, carrot, lime, ginger, apple. It's refreshing, still semi sweet, with all the healthy benefits of veggies. Staff/Environment: A Server was friendly, staff were friendly and made sure our water glasses were filled, and it was a cozy local spot that felt like it was in a small town rather than in the middle of downtown. read more

This place was incredible. Pretty sure the owner was running the hostess stand, and she was fantastic. You can see by her leading by example, the high level of focus on the customer. The food was the best. Huge portions. Had the parfait which was shareable and we still couldn't finish. So much fresh fruit. The French toast was some of the beast I've ever had. OMGGG.... I found this amazing breakfast spot online, and experienced the most spectacular culinary experience! My husband and I were in New Orleans celebrating my birthday last week, and had such an incredible visit. This little eatery has the nicest, most accommodating services (and beyond delicious food). I loved the place so much my husband bought me a Two Chicks Cafe sweatshirt for my birthday. Ashley our server was the sweetest, most wonderful person. As we were leaving the restaurant the owner (one of the two chicks) chatted with us for a few minutes. She was so warm and welcoming, giving us different ideas of where we could go to listen to some decent music in Nola!!! Run, don't walk to this PHENOMENAL establishment....I'm still salivating from my scrumptious meal! LOL read more

Background: Came during a bustling Mardi Gras Sunday for bunch. Pre-Service: Like all brunch spots, there is a 20-40 min wait if busy because they don't do reservations (thankfully) so that's expected.. Service: Our Server Catrina "With a C " was simply amazing.. great energy, healthy jokes, fast service, filled drinks, all the trademarks of an amazing server.. Ask for CATRINA.. Wish I could comment on the food because I was looking forward to eating here, but I didn't even make it that far. The server had such an attitude when my 6 yr old asked if we could move to the table across from us. Server said well it's better if you stay at the table we put you at so we don't have to clean another table, and I explained "well the air is blowing right on us and she's very cold" The server said fine you can move and then just walked away with some VERY UNNECESSARY ATTITUDE We had already ordered our drinks before asking to move tables and were prepared to order food but after the attitude and just walking away from us, I just left cash on the table and walked out. The people here are amazing , welcoming and the food is great. The kitchen made a mistake on one of our omelettes , they switched it out right away and insisted on taking it off the bill.
