Amazing breakfast! Getting up early and coming here was definitely worth it! This is an outside restaurant and the view of the water is amazing! Our waiter was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good. I was a little skeptical but my eggs were cooked perfectly along with my potatoes, I will say my bacon was a little too crunchy for my liking but it was still very good. I had a virgin Mai Thai and it was very good too! Very tropical tasting! Very fresh!

Sat outside the main restaurant since it was 78 degrees and not windy. Food was very tasty and ambience a little noisy from the waves hitting the shore and people also outside. Bar drinks are standard local taste.

A winning pork chilaquiles for sure! Holy flavors. Damn! Popped in for breakfast and only needed to wait about 30 mins for a table. They add early happy hour from 8-11am and we enjoyed a cocktail with our meal. A nice view right on the water made this a lovely AM.

Started off with coconut corn chowder, delicious! For drinks we had Mai Thais and Pino,so good.We all had Macadiam mahi mahi and swapped out rice for mash potatoes. It was the best dish we had our entire trip. For dessert we had coconut cream burlee and ice cream sandwich. Fantastic service and awesome ambiance too

I have gluten allergies and am vegetarian. Ulu had the most amazing rosemary fries and chopped cucumber salad! We got virgin mai tais, too. Probably the best tropical drink we've had so far. They also had a gluten free mochi cake for dessert that was tasty.

Overpriced menu items. Few options for vegetarians. Friendly staff!!! Right next to the ovean, so all the good stars goes to great view during dining.

Husband got a burger and said it was 8/10. I got coconut shrimp and it was good. I also got the pork pot stickers and they were good but the ginger was overpowering making my mouth kind of burn- so be aware. The famous Mai Thai: I'm so sad but I did not like it and sent it back. Ice cream sandwich was great. I ordered a lavender drink and that one was good! I think this restaurant is worth it for the views but over priced and over hyped for sure. I would not return. Our server was nice. I think there are better options around here I just haven't found them yet.

Stopped here for breakfast one morning- we were not staying at this hotel. We were told a 45 minute wait which wouldn't work and so I started to walk away. My husband piped up asking about seating at the bar and told it was sine. Would have been nice if the stewardess had told me that! The menu is limited, and it is expensive, and the portions are small. My omelet was good its local ingredients- but small. The side of fruit was good, but small. The best thing we got was the Monkeypod pancakes. They were to die for, sweet and tangy just like the Mai tais at Monkey pod. Highly recommend.

Ka'anapali beach has a cute little boardwalk along the resorts in the area. This is considered the South side and is Mauis busiest area according to the net. Knowing this, I booked our hotel near this location. On search for food off of our resort we made our way to Whalers Village, oddly enough many of the restaurants were closed or didn't appear to be open. We walked a little further down the boardwalk and there was Ulu Kitchen! Ambiance is everything a restaurant overlooking the ocean should be! Very nice menu! We came here twice because of hours of operation and because the first time was really good! Let's get into it! Avocado Toast - I added a medium well egg and they made it perfect! Avocado was whole and I love that! Perfectly made! Crab Cake Benedict- Delicious We came here twice, that is telling! Shout out to Karen! You're the best!

Mixed review for this place. Service was great, the location and outside eating excellent. The food - mixed. I had the poke bowl, which was excellent although for the price was a little small. I also feel if you run a classy joint you don't serve the sauce in a plastic cup. We had the Szechuan beans - so very salty, too much salt for sure. Fries - not hot when they arrived Creamed corn - a highlight for sure Vegetable pop pie, huge but served with white rice which appeared very odd. Many better places for the price I felt.

Just a short boardwalk trot away from our resort, Ulu Kitchen is one of the restaurants located at the Westin. Definitely a casual setting with the option of dining indoors or on the patio, Ulu Kitchen is a nice dining choice when perusing the boardwalk. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we only had a chance to eat breakfast, but it was so good, we decided to do it twice. She said her avocado toast was the best she's ever had and my crab-cake Benedict was excellent. I wouldn't say it's the best that I've had but excellent just the same..LOL! Service was impeccable on both visits, however, Karen during our first visit was awesome! She gave us to go drinks, which was definitely a nice touch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's staying at any of the resorts sharing the boardwalk, or even the shoppers at Whaler's Village. You'll get great tasting food and excellent service to match!

Amazing view of kaanapali beach during sunset. Easy to make reservations ( a big plus). 3 hour of complimentary valet parking at Westin. Service is attentive and relax. Live music in Hale mo olelo. Ulu is breadfruit so we ordered the breadfruit potpie and special fresh caught of the day Mon Chong fish Nallely is our nice server that recommended the special of the day. That came with tahini beurre blanc sauce, lobster salad and eggplant potstickers. Very good and new concept. Breadfruit potpie is hot and has this coconut milk yellow curry , bread fruits in puff pastry crust with garlic scallion jasmine rice on the side. Good portion and tasty. One page of food and three pages of wines on the menu sorry I'm driving tonite so just a Kona light blond. Good experience. Recommended.

We stayed at the Westin for 4 days and had voucher at the ulu kitchen for breakfast overlooking the ocean. The views are unbeatable and staff if also very good. They have a fairly small menu and all the items were amazing. We tried switching between a lot of items just to see if we could try the most. They have only 2 sweet options for pancakes and both are great with the blueberry lillikoi butter being my favorite that I ordered them almost every time we dined there. Menu is a bit pricey and most of our orders were almost 75$-100$ each visit. Coffee being very steeply priced for 8$ in a place that has Starbucks as well right next door. If in the area, I will definitely come here again, there is no item on the menu that you can go wrong with. Also all their sauces and jams are house made so while I absolutely loved their lillikoi butter i couldn't buy that one and I feel so bummed :(

It was fabulous, and the unexpected touch of mint elevated the flavor beautifully. We also indulged in the famous "Hula Pie" for dessert. Decadent is an understatement! It is absolutely massive--definitely enough for 4 people and not to be missed. To be fair, the service was somewhat slow, but the incredible food completely made up for it. As for drinks, the local Mai Tai was good, though not the greatest I've ever had on the island. Pro-tip: Reservations are strongly recommended, but they do accept walk-ins with a short wait. We started with some clams, and for that price you only got like 6 clams. Knowing that now I would skip! Stick with just a salad and entree. We got the Caesar salad, it was pretty good. My entree was the ahi tuna slightly seared. This restaurant is one of the only places I know that can cook an ahi tuna right. Other places we've been too tends to overcook it. Hula grill got it right. It was delicious. My husband got the Mac nut fish, and he said it was ok. He said it needed a better beurre Blanc sauce. Maybe with some citrus. It lacked flavor. But the best thing here was the kids menu. When we went they had a $20 petite filet with mash potatoes. It was perfectly cooked. My 2 year old ate ALL 4oz of the filet! It was that good. I tried a little piece and hot damn, what a deal. The best kids menu deal when they have it available! Get it. It was our anniversary, so the server gave us a celebratory hula pie. So good. It's nice they recognize your celebratory moment too!

Beautiful views, incredible food, and surprisingly family-friendly!…read more While visiting Maui, we made a reservation at The Plantation House, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip. The setting alone is stunning--overlooking the Kapalua golf course with gorgeous ocean views--but the food absolutely lived up to the scenery. We started with a fresh house salad, which was simple but perfectly dressed and a great way to kick things off. For entrées: * My husband ordered the short rib, which was incredibly tender and rich with flavor. The sauce paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. * My oldest son had the prime rib, and it was cooked beautifully with a great sear and topped with asparagus and a flavorful butter. * I chose the shrimp scampi, which was buttery, garlicky, and packed with shrimp. The pasta was coated in the most delicious creamy sauce and even came with toasted bread to soak up every bit of it. * My younger two ordered from the kids menu--the kids short rib and butter-and-cheese fettuccini--and both plates were generous and surprisingly elevated for kids' meals. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting just as good. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but still upscale. If you're visiting Maui and want a spot that delivers great food, amazing views, and works well for families, The Plantation House is absolutely worth the reservation.
