The chicken tasted like peppery deli meat plus there was only two slices. I really disliked my chicken. I feel like the vegetable and noodle portion are small compared to what I usually get. I usually got to ramen 101 but wanted to try something new and was slightly disappointed. The broth was really good so that's why I'm giving a few stars. Amazing. I walked in not expecting much on their second day of soft opening and came here on a whim. It's a bit further out for me coming from midtown Sac and placed in a plaza. If you ever had ramen nagi in the bay area, it was very similar to this. We ordered at the front kiosk and grabbed a table number. I got the black garlic tonkotsu and my friends got the spicy tonkotsu. The noodles are thin and perfectly cooked. If you're like me, I'm not a fan of the thick noodles like they have at most of the ramen shops in Sacramento. The broth was flavorful and comforting. It was not overly salty and was well balanced. The chasu was an appropriate amount. Egg was also perfectly soft boiled and I finished this bowl happily. I didn't feel bloated after eating the ramen. I came here during their Soft Opening so a very late review on this store. They had ramen options and rice bowl options. When you go inside, there's two kiosk that you order by yourself and then there's a separate place where the employees can also take your order. So it's an order first, then sit down. I didn't really like that there are no options to add or remove items on specific ramens when you order at the kiosk. You have to go back to the main page to add on items. My boyfriend doesn't like bamboo so we couldn't take it out from his ramen. Because it was their soft opening, they did not have any rice bowls yet. For their ramen, some of the noodles can be thick or thin but I think that is with the Tonkotsu ramens only, however, I'm not too sure how it is now. We ordered the Karaage as an appetizer, Shio Ramen, and the Spicy Tonkotsu. The karaage in my opinion wasn't the best karaage that I've had before but it's okay. I ordered the Tonkotsu more spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. It was actually very good and the broth was very flavorful. The Shio Ramen is also a good one especially if you are looking for something with a lighter broth. I personally loved it more than the Tonkotsu but the Tonkotsu Ramen is a solid ramen too. Well this is awkward... I ate my food and forgot to photograph it first. Who am I? I guess it is a testament to the delicious ramen. This spot is tucked into a tiny strip mall. The place was spacious and nicely decorated. Staff was attentive and friendly. The menu was easy to understand and didn't have 5,000 options, which I personally appreciate. Most of all, I loved that it was such a casual spot to enjoy a leisurely family dinner. We didn't feel rushed and just talked over the ultimate comfort food. I was in the area after a meeting, and decided to meet up with a friend for a quick dinner. Walked in about 10 minutes after they opened for evening service, and to put it short, it was middle of the road. The ambience was nice. Clean, quiet (minus any customer's children that might be there, not faulting the restaurant on that), spacious. Service was pretty good, they offer thick and thin noodles, and gave me the okay to swap them, as I love thick noodles with most dishes. Food was where I was in the middle about. We both ordered Black garlic ramen (I switched mine to thick noodles), and karaage to share. The Karaage was very nicely fried and crispy, but the meat was a little sinewy. Maybe tenderize the chicken a little more. The ramen was lacking in a few ways: the noodles were decent, but definitely could have been cooked a little longer (just a tad too much bite on mine), and the broth, in my opinion, lacked the depth of flavor one would get from long hours of boiling and refinement. On the upside, the chashu was pretty good, straight sliced pork belly, compared to the stereotypical pork roll, and the egg was perfectly cooked within. Overall, if I was looking for ramen, and didn't want to go further out for a better ramen-specific store, or get ramen at a sushi/Japanese spot, then I would go here, as it wasn't enough to make me steer clear, but it wasn't enough to be in my top spots. read more

Coming here was a complete wild card for my husband and I, and we were absolutely blown away. The last time we knew of this building, it was a NY Pizza place. The food here is PHENOMENAL. I got the curry and my husband got their Miso ramen (it was the only one of two available, the other was spicy miso). They very obviously make the soup bases from scratch, so come early if you want to try a specific flavor! The curry was similar to what I would make at home, but a lot thinner and lighter than the packages I'd use (and the chicken katsu was delicious). I'm excited to try their ramen flavors. My husband got their Miso soup ramen, and he will tell you it's the best bowl of ramen he's ever had; and we've tried Rakkan Ramen pretty recently (we liked it, but this place tops it!) Their atmosphere is very calming, open, and has a nice little corner full of asian snacks and drinks. There are also several anime figures you can buy from around $15-20. They have ice cream and alcohol as well. The service was straightforward; order at the counter or through the kiosk, and they give you a number to take to your table. My curry was out VERY FAST. This is the first ramen place I've been to where you order on the kiosk. There's no one taking orders meaning no one to greet you and see if you have any questions about the menu. The kiosk was a bit frustrating to use only because it didn't allow us to go back and make adjustments. We had to keep redoing our order. We ordered the Tonkatsu thin noodles and spicy tonkotsu thin noodle ramen. I normally don't like my ramen spicy but their spice had a really nice kick to it. I've also never had thin noodles before but it wasn't bad at all. I felt like the portion was a bit smaller than other places and it cost a few dollars more. But I guess that's the price you pay when you're in folsom. The regular tonkotsu had such a creamy taste and their egg was packed with flavors. For an unassuming restaurant with its signage still on a banner, this is possibly the best ramen in the Sacramento area. The broth is absolutely delicious, not too salty, rich and bursting with flavor. I tried R1 and R3 and both were spectacular. Opening night was 3/25/2022. @6pm place was only 1/2 full. I asked for spicy and let the order guy pick out a bowl. Went with medium spicy level, i usually go higher but wanted to test the waters at this new place first. Service was friendly and fast. Food itself was pretty good. There are not as many ramen places this side of town compared to downtown. This one is def worthy of a visit. It will probably end up as my go to as it is pretty close to my neighborhood and tasty. I've tried this ramen shop three times now. I've enjoyed my meal each time. The broth and noodles are on spot. The toppings are very tasty without overshadowing the main focus.
