Uncle Bud's Place is a gem in the last place you would expect. They are doing it right with more than I had hoped for when I came in. It smelled so good I knew that they were making so really good eats but when I actually got my food I was knocked over. We are hard to please because we know good food and when they put their time and love into a meal and that is definitely going on at Uncle Bud's Place. I had the pulled pork sandwich that was just heavenly haven't had a better one before and I love pulled pork. My son had the half rack of ribs. Just amazing! Now for side we had the Mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw and smoked mashed potatoes. I asked for some gravy and they gave me some on the side. It just took the potatoes over the moon. The cornbread was just perfect like dessert. Wish I had room for the bread pudding cause it sounded so good. Can't wait to go back again and get some more of that yummy goodness! I also saw that they have a Cajun flair to there menu so I am definitely going to have some when I go back again. It was hard not to want to order more food to take home. Very good food. I'm from Louisiana and I heard they had Cajun food. It's the closest thing outside of Louisiana I've found other than my kitchen that I enjoyed. Jambalaya was more like gumbo, but very good. Red beans and rice was also very good. read more

Oh my goodness the food was wonderful!! Not hard to find, but a little off the beaten path so it's not something you would find unless you're in the area. Make it a point to find this place and enjoy this seriously delicious food. We had a variety of food and loved it all!. The portions were great, the prices were good, the service was fast and friendly and the lemonade was homemade. We live in Williams, but will make a trip just to enjoy this delicious food. Went there today fro the first time. It certainly won't be the last. The smell of bbq as you walk in the door is enough to get you hooked. My wife had baby backs, which were very meaty and tender, along with smoked smashed potatoes and coleslaw. Delicious, she proclaimed! When we arrived, the place did not look that appealing; BUT NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER! pWe were greeted and treated better than family, and I believe "Uncle Bud" was then one that served us. While he was friendly and extremely pleasant, his BBQ platter was s true delight. The ribs were so tender and juicy that you didn't need a fork at all; a spoon would've been sufficient. This place just opened two weeks ago. What a wonderful addition to the community. The owner has been in the restaurant business for over 15 years and is very friendly. This food here is unreal, and the owners are super cool. Anybody that doesn't like the place is straight-up defective. I'm no slouch in the kitchen but I can't compete with their creole food, the spices and sauces are absolute perfection. I had their Cajun shrimp special the other day and it was the best shrimp I remember ever having, so tender they were almost fluffy in texture and the sauce . . . I believed the Yelp reviews and thought I need look no more for a brisket restaurant. This is not the restaurant. Will give them another try as restaurants can have an off night. What was my beef? The brisket was dry. The main event did not live up to expectations. The corn bread was good, but could be better is served warm. The Mac and cheese was warm and really good. Was a great stop on our drive to Phoenix! The Cajun catfish was amazing. Definitely worth the stop.

Sausage sandwich was delicious with a hefty spice kick that I loved. My side dish was the greens with Tasso. That was amazing in taste and texture. It was loaded with a hefty dose of buttery goodness. If you have calorie concerns.......get it anyway. The pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and beans were equally delicious. The mustard sauce on the table was my favorite taste of the meal. I would be really happy if they provided a free water option for dine in customers. I will be returning soon. read more

Phenomenal. We stopped by due to being in the area and will 100% be back. Everyone was super friendly and answered questions on recommendations when we walked in - it's like you're family. Thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and tasso jambalaya and a side of the (spicy) andouille sausage. I don't know what exactly is in that jambalaya but it must have come straight from the throne of heaven. Red beans and rice and corn bread were also good. We took our food to-go. Almost the day after owner Chris opened Uncle Bud's Place in the Frontier Village, I mosied on over to Uncle Bud's Place. Must have been sometime last year April/May 2019. And I've frequented Chris's establishment many times over. I've sampled many of the non-red meat items and have enjoyed them immensely. My referrals have thanked me letting me know in no certain terms they will be back for seconds/thirds etc. Presently there is in dining ie 4 tables socially distanced. Interesting since I view many who are "core" customers. Take out abounds with a steady flow of "traffic".
