Max taste. No frills. Just how I like it. Service very good too, especially for a late night bite.

We visited Uncle Vito's Pizza on my husband's birthday, right before heading to Quest Room. Since he's a big fan of pizza, we decided to give this nearby spot a try, and we're so glad we did! We didn't have high expectations going in, but the pizza turned out to be incredibly fresh and full of flavor. We both love a good crunchy crust with plenty of toppings, and this place nailed it. I especially enjoyed the one with zucchini. It was delicious! The ambience is okay, they have outdoor seating which is a good bonus for a nice weather. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and we would love to come back for more.

Service was fast and the pizza was hot! Very good, with a nice crisp crust. Cozy atmosphere with SF inspired art. Would go back!

Uncle Vito's really feels like you're family! It's located near Powell street so it was quite a climb from the BART station to this spot but so worth it! Cozy place had good options for food. I chose the Greek pizza and could barely finish a 10" so definitely take it to go or share! The pizza was flavorful and the crust was absolutely perfect-- best mix of chewy and crunch. Would come back in the near future!

Loved finding the local friendly atmosphere and menu at Vito's Pizza. Late evening walk to the corner from our Orchard Hotel on Bush and Powell was perfect for a late evening dinning. This friendly, local pizzeria completed our San Francisco day. Not everything good has to be expensive in San Fran! Our selection of pizza for two was fantastic at a great price.. I recommend Vito's to anyone looking for a local flavor with friendly staff, good service and homestyle seating. Buen Provecho!

Had a great meal at Uncle Vito's. Archie was our server and was terrific. Very attentive to our needs. My husband had a Turkey with Avocado and cheese sandwich and I had the Spaghettini Olio. The bread for the sandwich was soft but held up to the turkey and avocado. The pasta was so fresh and garlicky. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. A great meal and wonderful atmosphere. Thanks Archie for making our date night a wonderful experience.

A group of friends 11 total (2 kids /9 adults) went to Vito's as one friend in the group had been coming to Vito's for 20 years and raved about the food. Well, when seated the group was separated for some odd reason . Strangely , the group sitting upstairs 5 adults had vacant tables around their area. Just made no sense how the group couldn't sit together. From what other reviews report similar situations. Food : Pasta primavera was excellent . It came with fettuccine with mushrooms, olives, artichokes, broccoli, cream sauce and I added chicken . Ordered a house salad, garlic bread . Portions large enough to share. Service : Not good, the waitress was very nice but it appeared she was the only waitress for a majority of the tables .

Came here for a quick dinner. they were fairly busy but we seated immediately. The waitress was awesome and took care of us really well. The food was decent - the pasta dishes we tried were good, but not great. The pizza was one of the better pizzas amongst the local eateries. We may return someday and try a few more things on the menu before a final verdict.

I would have to say this place was pretty darn good. We got in on a later flight and this place was open near our hotel. We were happy to see a restaurant open somewhat later so we quickly dropped our bags and headed there. We got a pizza and deep fried raviolis. Both were good. I enjoyed the raviolis more than the pizza but then again I am probably used to a different style of pizza then they served here. As we were there, many people stopped by to grab a slice, dine in and just come by to hang out which made me think this was the place to be. The inside was aok, just like a "regular" pizza joint, nothing fancy but it was clean and had a joyful atmosphere. The waitress was quite busy since she was working alone but got our order correct and was nice and courteous. I would definately come back here again if I am ever in the San Francisco city again.

Uncle Vito's Pizza is right around the corner from my place in SF! I've always seen it on my way up the steep cable-car hills and have been meaning to try it. Cute location on the side of the hill. We ordered takeout: garlic bread, caesar salad, mountain pizza. Garlic bread was nicely buttered, caesar salad went smoothly with its dressing, and the mountain pizza was a splendid topping combo offering. Wait-time for our order was pretty quick ~ 15 min. This place definitely satisfied our pizza craving! Would come back to try their other options.

Tonight, we ordered quite a bit of food, and everything was delicious. We had no issues with the service throughout our meal, left a good tip, and overall had a great dining experience, until the very end. After dinner, we called an Uber and stepped outside when it was getting close to arriving. Unfortunately, our Uber driver cancelled, and it was very cold outside so we went back inside to ask if we could sit and wait at the bar for the next Uber. Unfortunately, we were completely ignored. One server in particular, who was wearing army-print pants, was serving tables near the front where we were standing. She made eye contact with us, looked away, and then began talking about us to the workers behind the bar. At no point did anyone acknowledge us or let us know whether we could wait inside. For the remainder of the time, they avoided eye contact and continued to ignore us until our Uber finally arrived. What made this especially disappointing is that we genuinely love the restaurant and have supported it enough to give gift certificates to our own family. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable, we simply wanted to wait inside for 15 minutes because our rides kept canceling and it was cold outside. Even if the bar wasn't available for us to wait at, a simple "I'm sorry, we can't accommodate that" would have been completely understandable. The food is still excellent, but the way we were treated at the end of the night left a really bad impression. I hope this was an isolated experience because we've otherwise really enjoyed Itria but we will likely not dine here again. It felt really unwelcoming and left a bad taste after paying over $350 + 20%tip for our meal.

The experience began the moment we stepped into the restaurant in San Francisco, where she personally greeted and cared for her guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Bruschetta was the perfect appetizer, a delicious, soft bread and fresh flavors of tomato, garlic and basil. For the entrée, I highly recommend Luisa's famous gnocchi with pesto sauce. Unlike the typical flour-heavy gnocchi, these potato-based dumplings were incredibly light, tender, and practically melted in your mouth while pairing beautifully with the savory pesto. To finish, the Cannoli Alla Siciliana provided the perfect balance of crunch and sweetness, with a hint of chocolate chips. Amelia recommended one pasta dish per person in the party, to share family style (which ended up working well for us, since we also got three appetizers, and finished the meal with a small amount of yummy leftovers for tomorrow) so that's what we did, along with the starters... We got the "big juicy meatballs with tomato and pancetta," which were incredible; the bread was delicious and certainly is not just a side to the amazing (definitely juicy) herbed tender meatballs. I'd definitely get this again, along with the grilled zucchini with worm salt and mint, which was so flavorful and tasty. We also got the smokey romano beans with fire roasted tomato, which was also really good but just keep in mind the emphasis on the smokey flavor! It wasn't my cup of tea but that's for sure a personal thing. For pastas, I'd rank them in this order: 1. our favorite was today's lasagna du jour, which was mushroom! So delicious, with a crispy cheesy crust, soft tender interior, and an almost caramelized tomato sauce accompanying. 2. Reginette with pork sugo (meat sauce) and spicy turnip greens was next, which had wonderful flavor with the tomato-based sauce and pieces of pork but if you like it slightly softer texture it might not be for you (same with the fusilli; the go-to preparation is aldente!). 3. Fusilli alla vodka with tomato, calabrian chili, cream, basil, and added garlic butter shrimps; this one's sauce felt a little underwhelming and more watery than creamy, and I'm just now realizing that although the menu said four garlic butter shrimp (an extra $7), we only got three. I think I'd come back for the lasagna and/or to buy the pasta from their expansive stock, cook it a bit longer, and serve it covered in a decadent creamy sauce.

My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive without being overbearing and very knowledgeable--he gave thorough, detailed descriptions and recommendations on the wine list and the food menu (beyond what I would've expected). He even replaced my water and apologized after realizing he poured it to the brim, which really wasn't an issue but I appreciated his correction anyway. We ordered the side of wood grilled corn to start, I ordered the malfadine al limone pasta and my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. The wood grilled corn had a nice char to it and we enjoyed the accompanying sauce and cheese on top; however, based on the menu description I was expecting a little more of a Calabrian chili flavor / kick. The pomodoro was good but nothing to write home about, and the malfadine was a bit of a surprise / the highlight! I enjoyed the curly pasta texture and loved the lightness of the sauce paired with the salt flavor and complexity of the salmon roe on top. We love a good dessert but nothing caught our eye on the menu this time, as we don't prefer the soft, creamy desserts like panna cotta (as opposed to something more tangible like a cannoli). Lastly, we also had the following glasses of wine: Verdecchio, Verdeca, Montepulciano, and the Carignan Blend. As someone that loves crisp white wines with high acidity and minerality, I loved the Verdecchio. The Verdeca was refreshing but too light and not fruit forward enough for my preference. We both liked the Carignan, as we like deeper berry flavors, and the Montepulciano was OK (didn't love but didn't dislike). Would definitely love to come back and try some of the other wine varieties and menu options!
