Thin crust pizza with pepperoni sausage veggies and ricotta
    Mona A.

My boyfriend had just landed at LAX Friday night, and since Union Pizza Company was so close, we ended up here and I'm really glad we did. It's right by Bristol Farms so there's lots of parking available in the lot. We got a personal deep dish Flame Veggie with chicken added and a thin crust with roasted garlic, sautéed onions, pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, meatballs, ricotta, and fresh basil. We asked for both extra crispy and wow, yes. That was absolutely the move. The deep dish was warm and cheesy and comforting, and the thin crust had that crispy little bite that makes you immediately go back for another slice. The medium spicy sauce was perfect too. Rachel was such a sweetheart, and the whole staff was genuinely warm and welcoming. We had a little time while the pizzas were cooking, so we wandered next door for beers, cookies, and flowers. A cute little date night!! The patio is really cute at night too. String lights overhead, vines, lots of open air. We left full and smiley and already talking about what we'd order next time

I came back to this pizza place after an amazing first visit experience and customer service. Their new hire, Willie, was so kind and attentive and helped me when they were closed during their equipment maintenance because I couldn't return a few hours later to order and eat my pizza. So he made me one right then with a smile on his face! The pizza he made was delicious the first time that this time when I returned, I ordered the same one (thin crust- the village) in a large size for myself (although Willie was not there). Still good customer service from staff and same fresh off the oven pizza with quality thick cut meats! New loyal customer that started from my delicious 1st pizza visit and Willie's customer service!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. The restaurant has a cozy feel with plenty of seating both inside and outside. I really enjoyed the thin crust cheese pizza. It was flavorful and well done. The deep dish was also delicious and definitely worth trying. I'd encourage anyone craving good pizza to swing by. I'm planning to try the pasta next time because it looked great.

First time trying and would definitely order again ! Pizza was tasty initially and then even hours later after reheating it - Bravo ! Ingredients tasted fresh and my order was correct - outstanding !

Wanted to try this place because they offered Chicago Deep dish pizza. Ordered the Bianco (white sauce, garlic and spinach) and union salad (organic spring mix, goat cheese, sunflower seeds, sun dried tomatoes with a house made balsamic Dijon vinaigrette). Salad was delicious and dressing was very good. I've had deep dish pizza in Chicago. This pizza had a thick crust on the edges but didn't on the bottom. The toppings and sauce were delicious but was disappointed with the crust.

My wife found Chicago pizza on the internet and ordered the Union Pie Pizza which comes with sausage, pepperoni, onion, and black olives. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We gobbled down most of the pizza. There was a bit of sweetness to the crust. This was very close to a Chicago deep dish pizza, but not as good as the ones in Chucago

Delicious fresh pasta, so tasty. Good service. Nice outdoor patio seating. Good for quick easy reasonably priced meal.

One of my regular lunchtime rotations! They have a great lunch special starting around $10 that includes fountain drink. Options include 2 thin slices, a slice and salad, or a thin slice and deep dish of the day. The pizzas are tasty and fresh. Both the kitchen team and front of house are friendly and work quickly. The spot is on the small side, but the shared patio makes it easier to dine onsite with the family. There's a few additional daily pricing specials, and if you're on the email list, there's other promotions frequently mailed out. The ONLY issue I have - for which I'm not even knocking down any stars - is that the shop has no A/C. On hot days (and we've had a few that are definitely out of the LA norm) it is too hot and stuffy to sit inside. I feel bad for the team having to work with ovens when it is already that warm. Assuming this is an issue with the building itself, though I've been at Rice, two doors down, and have not had the same experience. In fairness, I don't believe Rice has ovens, as it is a Japanese restaurant. Whether the building or the business owner, someone has got to get Union Pizza a functional A/C unit! Other than that, you can't go wrong with any of their pizzas, which are so good, that I have not gotten around to trying the pasta!

This is a very casual and small pizza restaurant. The menu has pasta and salad offerings as well, but we were excited to try the Chicago style deep dish pizza for the first time. The person who took our order made sure to tell us that it takes about 45 minutes for the pizza to be ready, which we appreciated to know ahead of time. We were able to walk around the Bristol Farms next door while we waited. The pizza came out hot and delicious! We loved how stringy the cheese was and the toppings tasted very fresh. The bread was crispy in all of the right places. I'm excited to go back and try the other pizza options.

Crispy delicious slices! So glad Yelp put this spot on my radar through a community event. It's located right next to Bristol Farms and pretty low-key as in very easy to miss! Definitely one of the best slices in the Southbay. Fans of establishments like D'amores will really like this and place ! Haven't had the chance to try the deep dish yet, but I think this place shines with their thin slices! Check them out!

We've visited Union Pizza Company in the past, once before, and it was pretty good, but this last time was definitely not the best by any means. We ordered the chicken wings and the deep dish pizza early without any cheese, knowing it would take a while to come, and unfortunately, the pizza still came with cheese. This caused us to have to wait the same time twice because at that point, we were hungry, and the chicken wings weren't super good either. The 2nd pizza with the right toppings was pretty mediocre and seemed rushed. I hoped this was better due to deep-dish pizza restaurants being limited in LA, but it was a letdown.

I forgot to grab a picture before eating a slice lol. It was okay overall. I got it to go, and I can see this being better if you ate in. The dough was a bit too hard and dense for me, and the toppings were pretty minimal. It didn't really blow me away, but I can imagine the experience improving if you sat down and ate it fresh, it'd be hella good. Service: N/A cause takeout Food/Drinks: Dense dough, minimal toppings, potentially better if you dine-in Ambiance: N/A cause takeout 6/10 Probably better fresh and eaten inside than as takeout

    Inside

Located in a shopping plaza anchored by Bristol Farm market, the eatery is small and can accommodate 20 people max inside, however there is an outside shared seating area with plenty of tables and chairs. We ordered Union Pie Deep Dish Pizza and Pasta with Meat Balls: FYI and Warning: the Deep Dish Pizza takes 45 minutes to prepare, thus order it in advance or you will watch a full episode of Hell's Kitchen on the store's big screen before the pizza is ready. Union Pie Deep Dish Pizza: the crust is thick, crispy and not too hard. The tomato based sauce was savory and slightly tangy. The mixture of pepper, olive, onion, and chunk of tomato with cheese and crust created a nice blend of flavors. Pasta with Meatballs: The pasta was on the soft side, the meatballs had good texture but the seasoning was light. The garlic knots were soft and delicious. Overall, the foods were good and the prices reasonable.

Hi Vic. Sorry we don't offer that sauce. But I do love a good Carbonara!

How is the chicken Parmesan sandwich?

Hi Shelby. We sell a lot of them. We use fresh chicken breast, pound it flat, and coat it with a seasoned flour mixture and deep fry it in Rice Oil which cooks up clean and is one of the best oils around . We use a fresh local bakery roll…

The Caesar had a touch of spiciness and was dressed with toasted bread crumbs, a nice touch. I had the bolognese. It was tender and meaty and the pasta had the right amount of bite. When my wife and I go, she always gets the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka (the sauce has the perfect kick and rich texture). As for me, my ultimate strategy is skipping a standard entree and doubling up on appetizers: the Meatballs and the White Truffle Garlic Bread. The bread alone is phenomenal, and the meatballs are tender and packed with flavor. The only major downside to treating apps as my main meal? I begrudgingly have to share with the table! ;) Because the menu is so good across the board, coming here with a larger group is really the best move. It gives everyone an excuse to order family-style and try even more items--our group go-tos include the Calamari Fritti, Crispy Eggplant Parmesan, and one of their hand-crafted pizzas. Plus, since it's cheat day, pairing the meal with one of their crisp, local IPAs from the draft list is an absolute must. Once the waistband is thoroughly loosened, we finish off the night with dessert. We usually just let the table go with whatever seasonal special they're running, and it never disappoints. Honestly, I don't think the marshmallows added much, but I definitely enjoyed eating them. We shared about 5-6 dishes. The White Truffle Garlic Bread was amazing--super soft, flavorful, and not overpowering. The Yellowtail Crudo was one of my favorites. The fish had great texture and quality, and all the salty, citrusy, creamy elements worked really well together. For the mains, the Seared Scallops with sweet corn risotto were a standout. The scallops were seared perfectly with great texture. The Braised Short Rib Lumache was also delicious, although the beef was a little richer than I personally prefer. We also had the Roasted Salmon with fregola and broccolini, which was cooked well and nicely balanced. Our server was amazing--attentive, helpful, and provided great service throughout the night. It felt like I was tasting multiple things in each bite. I would have preferred to see and eat each item separately. Additionally, I did not find any of it tasty except maybe the ravioli. And don't get me started on the garlic bread. Suffice to say I've made better at home. For me, a 4-5 star experience starts with great food. As much as I was impressed with the service and value, I can't say that I would be excited to recommend this place since the food was, in my opinion, just okay.

Bread is not complimentary but we ordered a half order. Overall everything was quite good. The lemon drop cocktail was perfectly balanced, not too sour. Our waitress Victoria was friendly and served us promptly. The " busboys" are top notch. Our water glasses never got below half empty, dirty dishes quickly removed from the table. The restaurant is small but very cozy. With mirrors on the wall it gives a larger impression. A great place to enjoy a great meal.

It was everything I was hoping for. Traveling solo, I sat at the bar. I had a super cool view of the sunset through the front windows. My bartender/waiter was amazing. She made me feel welcome, engaged me right away, and was a bonafied professional who Knows Service. I took her recommendation and ordered the Putanesca with Blackened chicken, and had the pair salad. AMAZING! She went through all of the specials (she knew it cold) but I went with the reco and was blown away. Anyway, I don't write these things often. Trust me - you will enjoy his spot. Ciao, saludos.

Seafood Combo Pasta (9/10): Very fresh pasta that doesn't feel too heavy in the mouth. Sauce is light and it is loaded with protein. Scallops were very tender and shrimps were huge. Paired with lemon and some bread on the side I was dipping the extra bread to soak up the extra sauce when I was done with the noodles. A must-try if you like seafood. Both plates were generous with portions and the bread appetizer was fresh with a garlicky olive oil dip.
