We are so excited to welcome a market/ restaurant concept to Viera. Unfortunately my experience there was not a pleasant one. I had been once before with some work friends and it was alright and I was ready to try it again. Being Vegan in Brevard isn't the easiest especially when trying to fine dine. I have had the 1 vegan option on the menu on my 1st visit and it is ok (big bowl of rigatoni w/ lentils and sauce). On this 2nd visit I didn't want pasta so I asked for another option, the only other item on the menu was hummus and crudite (not really a meal). After conferring with the server I asked her for 3 sides (Spinach, potatoes and asparagus). Originally I asked for a vegetable plate because I didn't want 3 full sides and it was pretty expensive. Her response was "I'm not giving you a discount" I was like "ok, can you please put all the sides on one big plate." I didn't want 3 side plates in front of me, I wanted a semi composed dish. What showed up... 3 separate plates and when I asked for one plate to compose my own dish I received a platter. Now I'm officially taking away 65% of the table from the other guests and I feel like a spectacle. I cannot be the only Vegan in Brevard county that doesn't want a big bowl of pasta as their entree. Unfortunately I will not be going back, and yet another fine dining establishment that doesn't know how to make a simple vegan dish that isn't loaded with carbs. Arrived 10 minutes prior to our 7pm dinner reservation on Sunday evening. Host gave us a choice for outside seating or inside, so we chose outside. Patio was nice and they did a good job with fans to keep it cool even though it was a bit warm. That's where the good ended. We sat there with our menus for 15 minutes with no one checking on us. Menu was well laid out and thorough...we had plenty of time to analyze it. Even when other tables had a server swing by. We were looking forward to an appetizer, a couple of steaks, and a couple glasses of the house EOS wine. As it was we just left for being ignored. read more

Really great lunch experience at Urban Prime. It was just me so I sat at the bar and the staff behind the bar were fantastic. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a hint of plum sauce that was very good and their homemade coleslaw was equally as good. After lunch, I browsed the wine section and was very pleased to see a broad amount of wines purchased by the bottle and not the kind you would find in every store. read more

3.5 because they burnt (on the outside) my aged steak which was an extra $31. Only tasted the burnt outside. Everything else was good. Nice atmosphere and good service. My wife and i heard about this place from our friends, and we decided to give it a shot and meet them there for dinner considering it was our wedding anniversary. Upon arriving at 5:15 I was asked if I had a reservation to which I replied no. I asked to be put on the waiting list and they told me approximately 45 minute wait. After 50 minutes I get a phone call telling me to come up to the podium. There was a lot of people in line and I was told to get in line, but I told them I was called to come up. The lady asked me if I wanted to sit inside or outside and I said that I had asked to sit inside. She then told me it would be an additional amount of time and that I would have to check back with them. After an hour and 15 minutes of waiting we were finally seated. 15 minutes go by and our waitress asks us what we would like to drink. She took our drink order and returned 10 mins later. We placed our order for food and waited 2 hours and 20 mins for our meal. At the 2 hour 10 minute mark i asked to speak to the manager. I told him we were ready to leave. He was rather rude with us and told us to give him 10 more mins. After 10 mins the food did arrive but the chicken my wife had was luke warm. My ribeye seemed to be dry aged but the outer portion that gets cut off was still on the steak. The steak had that taste of rancid meat. It really put me off eating it. The rest of the food was bland and unappealing. Our ticket was ridiculously expensive and no discount was given considering the wait. People came and went after we were seated but our table waited....and waited. Will not go back or give them a second chance. They should have rehearsed opening a bit longer since they didn't have their act together. Wasted anniversary dinner read more

Checked this out as it was written up in the paper. The drinks were slow to come to the table and it was extremely loud both outside and inside. It was very hard to carry on a conversation, which right away made it a no go in my opinion! The food was ok at best: a Florentine omelette , a waffle of the day that appeared to have Hershey's chocolate syrup and strawberries and aBrass burger that was ok. Orders a dry manhattan but it came as a sweet manhattan with a cherry. Mom did not want to send it back but the bartender should've known better! The wine rack was the most impressive. Some of the abstract art sells for $ 2000k. The Marketplace has gourmet foods and condiments. So my overall impression was that it's not a place I would return to again. We waited an hour and a half for our food on a Thursday night. Everything was s bad they gave us the wrong salad dressing, didn't ask how we wanted our steak, After waiting an hour and a half we stated we would take it to go and they manager said he would comp us which he didn't. This is a beautiful restaurant, but sadly looks can be deceiving. I've never been to a restaurant when they served salad at the same time as the entree. And, it wasn't like they were busy - we were the only table in the place. short ribs were tough, special had hideous gloppy cheese stuff on the plate. Dessert was good, though. Often reviewers use the phrase 'did not disappoint', well, unfortunately, Urban Prime DID disappoint. read more

We went on a Saturday night without a reservation and the hostess said they were not taking any walk ins, however another hostess was so kind to find us a table that was available outside. Our experience was very enjoyable start to finish, although I wish we would have had enough room in our stomachs for dessert! As always, the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The chilean seabass and mushroom chardonnay soup were my favorites but you cannot go wrong with any choice on the menu. The service was well paced and Dave was very attentive and made us feel very welcome and cared for, especially with our energetic 7 month old who loves to be included in everything, including ordering haha. Food was not good at all. I was very disappointed on how bad it was. Not to mention that the prices were high. The drinks from the bar were so, so and took a while to arrive. We had relatives visiting and so we decided to take them out for a nice dinner. The food was pretty good but not spectacular. We had a table out on the patio which was nice, but the service was poor. After ordering, our waiter seemed to disappear. After waiting almost an hour, a runner brought out our entrees, but our waiter never checked back with us to see whether everything was good, never brought us bread, did not come back to see if we wanted another glass of wine, or never refilled our empty water glasses. After we were done, we ordered coffee. By the time we got it, it was barely luke warm, but decided we didn't want to wait on another cup. When you come to a nice place and pay that kind of price for dinner, we expected better service. We probably won't be back for dinner. read more

We were very excited to try this new restaurant with friends! Walking in, we loved the ambiance of the place. The market looks AMAZING, and we plan to use it!! We were seated and it was clear right away that it was just TOO LOUD. There needs to be some sound absorption panels put up around ceiling areas/walls, or dividers between tables somehow. We could not hear each other talk throughout our dinner. It was very difficult. Service was good. Clearly the wait staff are new and trying to do their best. The food was good... in the photo are our appetizers. All were tasty. The calamari was excellent but there was a lot of fried batter that didn't have calamari in it -- drippings of fried batter that were put into our dish. I recommend making sure just the calamari is served, and not all the extra batter. The bread that came with the Burrata Caprese was not sliced through all the way and because it was toasted it was hard to pull off the slices. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass - I DID NOT love it. Piece of fish seemed very small and came on top of a very greasy, oily ratatouille which I could not eat. So I only ate the fish. I regretted my choice. My husband ordered the Ribeye which he thought pretty good, but it seemed like it was pressed down flat. Our friends ordered OssoBuco and Filet and both seemed to enjoy their meals. Overall we really liked the place and will be eating here again. We know it's new and that there are kinks being worked out. I'm sure it will get better and better. And we are looking forward to using the market! read more
