Look Past The Table Scratches & Stains, Their Tools Are Sanitized & Files+Buffs Are New For Each Customer
    Mercedes C.

After my daughter got her energy back a few days after her surgery, I wanted to dot my i(s) and cross my t(s) before I made the trip back to NY. Especially since she's limited in movement and would have to avoid driving for a bit while she recovers. One of those outings was for her and I to get a mani-pedi. The space is large with the nail station tucked on one side of this shop and opposite, at least 6(?) pedi chairs. Chairs were comfortable and sinks were lined which I liked. Tools are sanitized and new buffers+files are individually wrapped- which I also appreciate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Two sisters, the owner and someone else worked simultaneously on our manis+pedis. They were super pleasant and had delicate hands.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good. I wanted my services to be better. By the time we got here, it was an hour to closing. My kid and I knew that although both our manis+pedis would take more than an hour, that these folks would still go through the motions accordingly without rushing both jobs and worse, beating the clock. I get it- we all want to get home- but both our manis+ pedis were $65ea and was way too much money for polish that I had to remind my nail tech to fix around the edges. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My kid and I left feeling more stressed than relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place was close to my hotel so I wanted to try it, I got dip and my mom got regular, my nails are so pretty and strong and the products they used were amazing quality. The place was also very cute and had a nice vibe. For the nail that I got the price was good (70$) overall I would recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nate and Cecelia took great care of us. So kind and treated us like we were family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in on a whim and they took us in with open arms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great conversation and a wonderful vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything was peel packed sanitized. Bagged the spa foot bath for sanitary purposes. Felt safe and clean. $60 for the gel pedicure. Worth every penny.

Pointer that was already fixed once, chipping again

I initially called to get a full set + eye brow wax. Made an appt and showed up 15 min later, per their request. An acrylic overlay was 1.5 hours, which I felt like was a bit much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I eventually had to tell the lady, I was on a time constraint and needed her to finish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I spent $75, affordable sure. Not even 24 hrs later, 1 nail chipped.. 2 days later, 3 chipped. Went back to get it fixed.. not even a week later, I've gone back once, and have 3 more chipping nails. It's unfortunate because they're one of the few in the downtown area, but unless you have all the time in the world to keep going back to get it fixed, I would not recommend it. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. Oh, and never got my eyebrows done because it was almost 2 hrs to get an acrylic overlay.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a great experience with my group![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everyone was so nice and the Pedi was very relaxing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great conversation with all nail techs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll be coming back for sure! One of picture is from one of the girls in my group.

The regular mani ($25) was alright. Could be better

Mediocre mani pedi spot in downtown. I mean I can't really ask for too much, I was in town for a wedding, didn't think Saturday mornings would be busy for all nail salons that weekend. I called like a handful of spots with high ratings and reviews and they were all too busy to take 2 walk-ins. Good thing that this place has opening for a last min walk-in. Although the place was rated 4 stars, there was nobody but my friend and I in the store. Maybe it's just nobody goes to downtown on a late Saturday morning, since PDX doesn't seem to open up until late on weekends. We got the basic spa mani/pedi. I know I have short nails this round, but nobody asked what shaped I want my nails or if I wanted to trim or just file them down. The massage was so gentle, the guy who did my mani/pedi sped through the massage so much, he was ready to paint my nails while my friend was just getting her massage started. However, their massage chairs are nice, even the seats had the glute squeeze. Probably too much, because the tech turned it off even before he started painting my nails. I don't know what to say, the paint job was just okay for the price I paid. My pedicure don't look smooth, the edges were peeling. Within a day, my manicure already started chipping. I'm just out at a wedding, not even doing anything wild. I think my own paint job can last longer than theirs.

I love this salon! The staff was friendly and my nail tech Cecilia took her time doing my nails. Very happy with my nails!

Cute and cozy salon. I should have done more research to find out who does the nail art and who works ok natural nails. We booked an appt for two but upon arrival we learned they could not do us simultaneously. Fortunately I hadn't book dinner reservations. One tech was friendly and amazing while another did not take as much care with my natural nails. The nail polish selections needed updating. There were no beverages offered. The massage chairs were fun. If you are headed this way pack your patience and clear your schedule. Parking was a pain, leave time for that as well.

    Chipping paint

Went and got our nails done on Thursday of this week. The staff was WONDERFUL!! Very kind and extremely professional. However my nails are a different story. I asked for gel manicure and no way did I receive one. The paint on my nails is already chipping and peeling off. One of my toes was also missed completely. I work typing at a desk all day, so I don't use my nails often at all. Gel usually lasts me ~2 weeks. It's been 4 days. Also please be warned, prices on the website are not accurate. More expensive in store. We got the urbantopia deluxe manicure and urbantopia spa pedicure with gel. Should have totaled about $115. Somehow my total was $135 in-store.

    Gel manicure

Walked in without an appointment for a gel manicure and they were able to get me in right away. Ceci was very friendly, did a great job, and I was in and out pretty quickly. My nails turned out exactly how I wanted them. Will definitely be back!

They were friendly but not in that fake way that you see in a lot of the surface industry. I was offered a choice between tea and water and was given my paperwork to fill out. My facial with Terril was very relaxing. We went into the treatment room and discuss what my concerns were with my skin and what I was hoping to get out of my appointment. Terril was very attentive, asking questions along the way. One thing I really liked was that the table was heated because I've been having some issues with my back that make it uncomfortable to lay down so having that heated surface under my back made my appointment even more relaxing. My skin felt amazing when she was done, even though she had to do a few extractions. I was so pleased that I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for a few months out so that my skin will be able to recover from the upcoming summer months. I highly recommend checking out this wonderful little spa and I look forward to returning for my next facial.

Let me first start by saying the "spa" here should have its own yelp because a lot of these reviews…read moreare for the medical procedures which are misleading to really how terrible this place is claiming to be a top spa. Now, maybe I am just used to the TRUE luxury spas like in Scottsdale, AZ or Southern California but if people here think this is a luxury spa you have not really been to one. First, upon arrival it is clear they want to push their med spa and procedures there was nothing but advertisements, creams, and marking for that in your face everywhere you turned. After checking in, the woman said she would give me a tour, she led me to a glass door that was supposed to be an outdoor patio and said I could use it if I wanted some sun, I looked out to see a broken fountain, a mess of chairs thrown about, and nothing relaxing or enticing that made me want to go out there. Next, she led me down the stairs to the soaking pool, cold dip, etc. I booked this place for one reason. I am recovering from an injury and wanted to soak in a hot tub, sauna, etc. While it was visually pleasing in that particular part, but then she said "and today since it is so hot out, we have the soaking pool at am ambient temperature." Like what do you mean ambient? I was thinking to myself that thing better be a VERY warm ambient. When walking out she pointed to some neglected pedicure chairs in the corner and said these are nice to sit in and get a massage and are heated. I thought that was strange because the chairs were stained and had clearly not been used in a while and you had to climb up a huge stone step like you would if you were getting a spa pedi just to use them. It was like they were trying to pass them off as something nice but really should be taken out! Next, we went into the locker rooms, now when I go to the spa, I bring a swimsuit, and a fresh change of clothes and my makeup to freshen up after. The lockers were the size of piggy banks, and I had to cram my stuff in so tight, it would barely lock and upon opening everything fell out. There are no hooks ANYWHERE, I had to put my robe on the dirty ground after getting into my swimsuit because there was no where to hang it, or a towel once you were getting dressed and undressed. Anyway, she said she would turn on the jets to the soaking pool and bring me some paperwork to sign. She never did either. I put my suit on with my now dirty gross robe, and sandals that were enormous. I couldn't wait to get in the pool and I step in and it is absolutely freezing. Like ice cold bath water. This is what she meant by ambient. Like on your website you say it is 103 degrees, this was maybe 85 degrees. I was so upset. The entire reason I came and I am now teeth chattering cold. I get out of the pool and go into the sauna to warm up. It is also turned down so low that I crank up the temp to 105 degrees and it took forever to heat up. Now I am soaked and damp, and even more uncomfortable than when I arrived. I went back to the locker room, took off my wet suit and changed into dry undergarments for my massage and thought I would try to warm up in the heated massage pedi chairs she pointed out. I sit down and push the massage and literally thought my brain was going to get shook out of my head. It just vibrates at a scale that is NOT comfortable. I just shut it off and honestly almost left at that point. Fifteen minutes after my massage was supposed to start, this massage therapist huffs around the corner and says my name. She literally has a mullet, the biggest N95 White mask on I have ever seen and NO SHOES! Like what in the actual F! One thing is for sure, if you are wanting a "stay weird" Portland spa, y'all have found it! We go into this weird doctors treatment room, nothing calming, relaxing or spa vibes at all. It's very bright in there, and I tell her I want light pressure, and I had to tell her three times to lighten it up. I HATE massage therapists that use their elbows, and whole arms, and sh** like they are digging into you. I just want something relaxing not where I am grunting for you to stop! I had also asked for the hot oil head massage. After my 60 minutes, she didn't say anything about it, didn't offer it, and honestly I was at this point thinking I am at the threshold of hell. I just wanted to get out of there. I went back to the locker room, and because they offer no bags for your wet clothes like most spas, my suit had soaked my entire bag and I left in wet soppy clothes. The one nice thing is the girl working the front desk noticed how displeased and offered to take off the $25 for the spa facilities but honestly this place is an epic joke, trying to pass off as luxury. Do not waste your time, or energy here.
