Tuna and salmon for my protein. Cucumbers, onions, corn, spicy crab, avocado for my toppings. Spicy mayo and uroko sauce. I also added fried garlic chips and onion, lime, masago, furikake. I love Uroko because I love a poke with a lot of ingredients to work with. Everything Uroko has is what I enjoy eating. Everything is very fresh and has just the right amount of sauce. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places ($12 for two protein and $14 for three protein, tax included in the price). The bowls are HUGE. You get the options for white rice, brown rice, chips, salad, broccoli, or half and half. They have a large variety of proteins (such as salmon, albacore, yellowtail, tuna, octopus). At first I didn't like that we were only limited to 6 complimentary sides, but 6 honestly was enough. There was no extra charge for crab meat or avocado so that's nice! Unlimited toppings at the end. Free miso soup for checking in on Yelp. Overall, the fish here tasted fresh, was large, and we got generous scoops of protein. I also loved the mango, which was super ripe and sweet. I was recommended to go to Uroko by 2 different people and decided to try it out a few days ago. It definitely did not disappoint! First of all, Uroko goes above and beyond to ensure everyone's safety during COVID-19. I had gone to a different poke place the day before and that place had some stickers placed six feet apart, but since the space was small I could see some people were crowding in line and not totally social distancing. Uroko, however, had way more space for people to line up and also plastic barriers above the glass covering the food for a little added protection. The workspace itself looked very clean and the employees appeared spaced apart as well, so I really appreciated that. Uroko also offers you a block of ice if you plan on traveling for more than 15 minutes before eating. I asked for the ice block, and having that added ice really helped keep my poke cold and fresh by the time I went to eat it after the drive back! As for the food, the portions were pretty big and they didn't skimp on the fish at all! I ordered the salmon, spicy tuna, and albacore and all 3 fish tasted fresh. It is kind of a bummer that you need to choose between a few toppings, such as avocado vs. seaweed salad, but I decided to get both and pay a little extra for it anyways! The order came out to be $13.50 including tax which is not bad at all considering how large the bowl was. The portions were big enough for me to share with another person and still be full! The toppings were very flavorful and I could tell they tasted fresher than the place I went to the day before. Solid 4.5/5 stars! Probably one of the best spots in OC in terms of getting really good quality fish for a decent price. Uroko offers your typical poke offerings (you go in and order kind of Chipotle style) but the thing that stands out for me is the freshness of their fish. Everything else, sauce wise and toppings, is pretty standard. But the fish quality is really fresh and the portion is good too! I usually get 3 scoops and always end up super stuffed so 2 scoops is already a pretty solid amount. The inside of this spot is spacious with good seating but I would say the parking lot is always packed and absolutely horrendous to find parking. But once you brace through the parking and get in, you're always in for a treat at Uroko! Highly recommend if you're in the Costa Mesa area. read more

We've been coming to Uroko for years and I was very disappointed at my last visit. As many other places, it seems they jumped in the "shrinkflation" wagon! Their serving scoop is significantly small. The guy helping us was also not the friendliest or clean. He touched his nose prior to preparing our bowl. He could tell I was not pleased with him and instead of washing his hands, he just placed a glove on one of the hands. This used to be our favorite place and now I'm not sure I want to go back. If you're going to decrease your servings, drop your prices. I'm sure smaller plates are coming in an attempt to hide the lack of food. What they did is smash the rice so it fills the plate. I came here for the first time with a friend of mine and it reminded me of a Subway. You're able to choose your toppings and sides while moving down a counter. The food was very good and you get a decent amount for the price. The servers get your food quickly and you're able to eat your food within 10 minutes. There is also a mocha ice cream freezer in the middle as well as an area to buy specialty drinks.
