However I went in today at 5 and the girl taking my order was quick, I got my food in less than 5 mins BUT I ordered two smoothies which took 25 minutes to get. Mind you when I walked in I was one of the only people ordering and when I left there was a line out the door. 3 people who ordered after me received their smoothies around 5 minute after ordering, I walked up and ask about my order and one of the workers said someone else was working on it... but the person working on it did the smoothies she rang in first. I walked in at 5 got my food by 5:05 but left at 5:40. I understand it's peak dinner hour but I should never have to wait 30 mins for a smoothie when I was the first person to order one. I was looking for a new poke spot to go to after the neighboring Poki Bomb closed down and found Uroko Cafe. Parking is a little confusing as it's found behind the building, you would have to go around the gas station next to the restaurant to find it. The first thing I noticed upon entering was how clean it was, along with the variety of different food items such as poke, sushi, snacks, and even a cafe with espresso and tea drinks. Here was my order, I also had green tea and bbq chips: *White Rice w/ three scoops (spicy tuna,salmon, and boiled shrimp) *Seaweed salad, avocado, edamame, imitation crab, cucumber, masago *Mixed with eel sauce and spicy Mayo The food was great! Ingredients are always fresh, also helps that the turnover is pretty high so ingredients are always being replenished. Friendly service. They give you very generous portions of all the toppings. I mixed all my poke and toppings together and the taste was amazing. I was so full but I was still eating because the poke was so good. Usually I love this place but the guy who served me today has no idea what their typical portion sizes are for scoops. EVERY. SINGLE. SCOOP. I voiced my concern at his scoop sizes and he said if he gave me more he'd have to charge me extra even though i know that he was giving me less than the normal portions. My sister has been raving about this poke spot to me for a while now and I finally got to try it. Pokinometry used to be my favorite place until I tried Uroko Cafe. Their fish is super fresh. The sauce flavors are amazing. I got spicy mayo, very spicy, and eel sauce and it was very flavorful. The portion size is also pretty good compared to other poke spots. I was very full with 3 scoops of fish and half rice and salad. I was also pleasantly surprised that they don't charge extra for avocado here as most places do now. Visited a friend in Irvine and she took me here for lunch as she really enjoys this place. The indoor seating is spacious, and reminds me of a cafeteria (nothing bad about that). What I noticed about this location is that the workers don't hold back with their scoops. I ordered the regular bowl which comes with three scoops of protein, and I got the same amount of fish I would get in 5 scoops from other poke joints. They also have a vast selection of toppings; the only downside is that I could only choose between avocado or seaweed salad - it is a $1 extra to get both. I also like that they serve their poke on larger plates rather than a smaller bowl with all of the ingredients mixed together. It allowed me to get the perfect ratio of ingredients on my spoon in every bite. Lastly, make sure you check in and get your free miso soup or fountain drink. I opted for the drink and tried their pineapple cream soda and acai drink, both were strangely addictive and I don't usually drink soda. The poke bowls here are delicious and the portions are HUGE but unfortunately did not live up to my expectations. I got a five scoop poke bowl and it was more than enough for 2 people. The portions were very big and I love the fact that they put it in a plate. The plate gave me more room to mix everything up and thoroughly enjoy my bowl. A couple things that fell short were the amount of rice and the sauce. I got two scoops of rice and I finished it with half of my fish left over. The fish was very sauce and overwhelming for the amount of rice given. The bowl would've been much better with more rice. Secondly, the sauce wasn't very special. The spicy sauce wasn't really spicy and there was simply too much sauce. Thirdly, personal opinion, but I didn't like the fact that the fish was cut up in very small cubes. I prefer my fish in bigger cubes like most poke places. In addition, many reviews said that Uroko has quality fish but personally, the fish was just decent; nothing really special. Pricing, wise, Uroko is definitely on the higher end. A large poke bowl was $15 which is more expensive than most places. Location, wise, there was a lot of parking in the plaza and the shop itself was very spacious. Lots of room and tables. All in all, if I were in the area, I would definitely stop by for a poke bowl. I also liked that they have mango and pineapple as topping options, I feel like it isn't that common amongst other Poké spots. I am very disappointed in the customer service and online ordering of this establishment. I have never had issues with ordering via Yelp or grubhub, so this is very concerning for me. I placed the order 20 mins prior to my arrival at the restaurant. Upon arrival, the restaurant was not busy at all so I anticipated a seamless pick up. When I provided my name for the order they took 3-5 minutes looking it up on their computer, only to tell me they "just received the order". However, I saw the worker pull off to the side my already-printed ticket amongst all the other orders. So I'm confident that they were negligent of my order. The workers go on to haphazardly make my bowl, lacking in any presentation and proper portions. What makes me most upset is that I had to wait for the same time and even longer than patrons who arrived at the restaurant the same time I did and ordered in restarting. On top of all of that I had to pay for something at a 130% increase without any convenience. I asked the worker if they could cancel the Yelp order and just recharge me restaurant standard price because I order via Yelp in order to have a quick pick up. Instead I had to wait just as long as everyone else in the restaurant, but the employee said "there's nothing he could do about it." I have been able to cancel Grubhub Yelp orders in the past at other restaurants with no issue. Infuriated and unwilling to make a scene I left, but I am highly unsatisfied with the customer service! When I got home, I began eating my meal. The food is decent. However; there was not enough lettuce. And there was ginger in my bowl even though I didn't order ginger. I could've gone to a poke place closer to my house but I wanted to try this place because of recommendations. However, if I am going through all the trouble to drive out to Uroko and my mobile order isn't ready, the proportions of my order are imbalanced, and there were ingredients I didn't even ask for. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but the customer service left a sour note :( read more

I usually get a small for $8 (2 scoops), and it keeps me satisfied until dinner. They do include avocado (yay!), but seaweed salad is an extra charge. The topping options are plentiful. There are different sizes that determines how many fish scoops you get. You get to pick your sauces and I typically go with a good mix of the original with a high spice level. You can add toppings as well. It's not going to be all you can top because you have to select either this or that. It's fine for me, but I can see how this can be a turn off for people.
