So, I get to the post office to get to the bottom of why my post office box was locked and it got even worse! More waiting, more bad service and unbelievable excuses on why my po box was locked! And I do agree with Christina F...why can't people use the Automated Postal Center instead of standing in line? These people make the line go even slower for those of us who are trying to address an issue that can not be done with the APC. Seriously...this girl stood in line for 30 minutes to buy ONE stamp for a letter...maybe she had the time to waste or was just challenged at buying stamps. Anyways, back to the po box...I FINALLY got my mail after having to pay for another 6 months of service for a po box even though I no longer wanted it after this ordeal, but was told I had to pay in order to get my mail. Then I FINALLY saw the slip they kept telling me about...the infamous slipt that was put in my box telling me I owed money or it would be locked. This is the best part...the slip was dated 06/24 (one day before it was locked) but the due date was from 04/30. I asked why if it was due 04/30 I didn't get a notice until 06/24 and they said oh well the girl who did the job is gone so we get to it whenever. Whenever apparently equals 2 months in postal time. I asked why I didn't get a notice sooner and why was the box locked the day the notice was given, hence not giving me time to see the notice. The postal worker replied I don't know while shrugging her shoulders. I asked if they would send the notice to my residence in the future and she said no it 's not their policy. I hate coming here and I only come if I desperately need to. I just moved from San Ramon and wanted to get my mail held for me at the post office instead of going to my old house all the time to pick it up and the lady was just so rude and unhelpful. I've come here many times previous to this one, but I am particularly disturbed by this encounter. I purchased 5 money orders and when it came time to pay, wished to pay with majority of the money in cash and the remainder on my debit card. Instead of processing the cash first as they have done many times before, Claudia did her own algebra on a sheet of paper and then requested that I pay what would have been the remainder FIRST, and then processed the cash second, stating that she wanted to make sure that my debit card went through. I could have paid the entire amount on my debit card, as I had actually just checked my bank balance, but if I had wanted to do so would she have questioned my ability to pay then? This to me is a blatant act of discrimination that I am extremely hurt by. read more

The absolute worst mail service we've had in our years of living many locations. Hold Mail: may or may not be delivered on date promised Sorting: Constantly receive mail not at our address. Personal items, such as Bank Statements, IRS notices, Labor Union messages. VERY DANGEROUS. The older guy who handles the passport service here (I believe his name is Robert) is absolutely horrible to deal with. Every review here about him is correct. He is extremely rude, egotistic, and has no humility whatsoever. Think Soup Nazi and you'll know what I am talking about. He had no smiles on his face, talked down to us and interrupted us and wouldn't let us speak. He makes you jump through hoops just to satisfy his ego. He told us to turn off our phone and yet his phone went off during our appointment. I've never ever met anyone in customer service with this bad of an attitude. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I called to enquire about a package that was scheduled to be delivered today and wasn't. The USPS tracking is the worst and so I called three times the first two times no answer then a woman with an accent mumbled and said hold on rudely and that was all she wrote. I ultimately had to hang up. I tried calling again with no one answering yet again. Frustrating to see tax dollars being wasted by these incompetent rude people. Be really careful when using this post office. The workers are jaded and don't give a shit if your packages get to where they need to be. I always make it a point to go to the Dublin office..the lines are a little longer, but they are SO much nicer. Today my husband and I got a package that should have been delivered TWO MILES away. The last name was similar so we are thinking that's how it got to us. So I call to ask if I can set the package out tmrw morning because I was already scheduling a carrier pickup. She tells me that she can't advise me to leave it out for liability reasons. So I asked what she would like me to do or what they were going to do to correct their mistake? She tells me I can do whatever I want with it. What the hell does that mean? I obviously want them to come pick it up and fix this. Well, she says, it's up to me. So we talk in circles for five minutes with me trying to get her to tell me someone will come pick it up. Nope! She's putting the responsibility on my shoulders. Good thing I'm a nice person! She obviously isn't going to offer any solution because she is too lazy to take care of it, so I take the freaking box and deliver it myself. They were christmas presents and I wasn't about to trust the San Ramon PO to deliver them! Beware. If people are sending you packages in San Ramon, tell them to use UPS or to require delivery confirmation. read more

Will not answer the phone. My package landed at the San Ramon post office. And there it disappeared. Promised to call me after speaking to the carrier about my package. That didn't happen either. Over all this office seems pretty well organized but the USPS in general seems to be less than optimal even though they raise the prices yearly. Thanks for losting my mail which contains items worth more than 300 dollars!!! My mail is signature required for safety. According to tracking the time it was delivered is when I was at home and no carrier knocked at all!! So they send it to a wrong address and let a stranger signed for it? The worst is the package is even signed by my name!!! This is so ridiculous that no one could believe this is happening. I tried to find a supervisor, waited more than 20 minutes, changed to another window, waited another 15 minutes, and only get the result of having my phone number recorded. The woman told me she is going to call me in the afternoon, and she did. The only thing she told me on the phone was totally useless-the package was signed in your name?-of course I know that from the tracking record!! And that is suppose to be the question I am asking you! Then she hung up and never called back today. I am so mad about this bad service ruined my new year. Have not stepped foot into this branch and already frustrated with their employees. Just moved here. Changed my address on-line. I was told over phone this was the only way to do it now. They do not accept change of address forms in person. I was also told you did not have to enter your credit card information any longer. WRONG. I called and questioned why it was asking for my credit card and was told if charged it was just a security hold and money would be reimbursed. WRONG. Two weeks later and money still has not been returned to my account. And charged each time for multiple address changes. Delivery man (or) woman from San Ramon continues to put a "vacant do not deliver" to this address paper in my box. Even though I did all the necessary address forms. And even though we are receiving forwarded mail. We have missed 2 box deliveries to our home. This all due to the PO workers errors. I would think living in Dublin, my mail would be delivered from the Dublin office. WRONG. Mail is only received at Dublin office. And all mail out going or delivered comes from the San Ramon office. HATED calling this office. Woman whom I spoke with on a Saturday morning was rude and impatient. She had me on speaker phone and could not hear me as she was doing something else. I had to repeat myself 3 times before she could understand me. I believe this is a classic case of cut backs and over worked employees. I ordered a package and when I tracked it the item comments said not dropped off due to no secure location... Okay cool that's fine but where is the letter that notifies me of this? One time is fine.. next day they came by again and again no secure location and no letter. The absolute worst... period. I lived for many years in San Ramon, only to have my mail and packages misdelivered regularly to wrong addresses. I complained to the local Post Master, the National Complaint Center, and local politicians, only to receive the same terrible service. Finally the regular mail carrier was changed and correct delivery improved, although not 100%. I moved a few months ago. In doing so I personally went to this Post Office and turned in a completed change of address form. I handed this change of address form to the counter clerk and asked they closely look it over for errors or omissions. I was told it was good, and mail forwarding would begin immediately. Well, for several months now, I have not received mail forward to my current address. Almost weekly I learn of mail that was never forward as my change of address form requested. The next time I hear that USPS wants to raise rates I plan to write my political representatives a letter announcing "Hell No". read more

Worst post office. They keep loosing all my packages. The tracking says packages are delivered, but even if we check immediately we could not find the packages. This happens only with USPS. Other carriers seem to deliver packages properly. If you end up complaining, you will get to meet the manager but no action will be taken. They will mention that they will call us back in 2 days, but nothing will happen. I have lost lot of my important stuff after moving to his new home. Really pathetic service. read more

Bad and slow service. I've lived in different cities and therefore have gone to different post offices, and in terms of service speed, efficiency, friendliness, and quality, this was sub-par. Another customer and I waited for 5 minutes while two ladies sat there, not helping any customer. At one point the customer in front of me looked back at me and rolled her eyes in disbelief (she had already been standing there before me too!). The line eventually crept up to a little over a handful of people. The workers were dry and barely helpful. I realize now she never answered my question. I could probably forgive apathy and inhospitable manners if the job is well done or done quickly, but no, I probably could have filled out and shipped 10 packages in the self-service as they took their sweet time. read more

I have not been a fan of this post office ever, but after the staff was beyond rude today I decided to write a review about this place. The staff seems to always be in a bad mood and not willing to be helpful when you have questions about your mail or about the process of mailing it to other countries. I can't accept the incompetence of this place specially when you see a mother with her child wanting to use their restroom and after been told by the staff to go around the door so the child can use the restroom, the mother and the kid get turned away in front of everyone in a very rude manner. The little asian lady in charge simply said "No, no use of restroom here, go somewhere else!" that is beyond rudeness to me... I decided to tell the rest of the staff that it was plain wrong and drove 2 miles away to the other post office to send my package.... never again I am coming to this place... I just wanted to drop off my pre-paid package and had the worst costumer service I have ever encountered. I had to tape my label on with Scott tape and essentially pray that this label won't fly away! Every other USPS would tape it on for me. I come to this post office when I'm up in San Ramon visiting my boyfriend. I live in San Jose and the post offices there are nuts. I know this is a large hub and a lot of people have complained about it, but I have never had an issue here. Always easy in and out , and when the post box for packages was filled up ,I had a very nice employee come take my packages for me without me even asking. Very nice service. I drove in to inquire about a package which has out-of-date information on USPS.com and they gave me a lot of run-around, sending from window to window, only to eventually determine it was out on a truck for delivery! It is my third time calling this office after my 85 year old Mother had no where to park because this Post Office MGR allows their delivery staff to park their delivery trucks in handicap parking. Unfortunately, this review is coming from my one and only experience with this particular post office thus far. They've had a package of mine since 12/5/18 (it is 1/2/2019, today) that I was hoping to have before Christmas as it contains holiday clothes for my child. I've scheduled a redelivery online and on the phone... still nothing. I've tried calling to talk to a human about my delivery and the phone has rung until I receive a 'dead' line tone... Wow, I wish my husband had checked Yelp before trying to make a passport renewal appointment for this location. Add us to the many reviewers who had a thoroughly awful experience with the passport clerk Robert. Despite arranging my work schedule and pulling my kid out of school early for our appointment, we left without a passport... Went to San Ramon City Hall and they were so kind and helpful and walked us through the process. As we were leaving they rushed out to tell us they just had a cancellation and could help us then, even though we didn't have an appointment. within a few minutes, our application was submitted.
