This could be one of my favorite places but many issues. Pizza is very good and a hip looking place. Where they drop the ball: they have basically no low carb options. They have a chicken Cesar salad that should be removed from the menu. If you are going to serve something that is not great, why bother serving it? All salads are pre- made, they come out of the refrigerator in a plastic container (like wendy's). The Cesar is not hand tossed in a bowl. It is roman lettuce (no croutons), cold chicken,with a side of dressing. So the one of the only low carb options is a joke. When ordering, the staff had a bit of a attitude so I didn't even bother trying to correct the issue, I sensed there was no fixing it. unfortunately, I will not be back until they offer some options. Oh, and I did have the meatballs, they were very good too. **this seems to be an example of a restaurant that is doing well and growing so think they have it all figured out , they need to look at themselves to realize that they have many good things but could be so much better. Its pretty simple, for everything you serve , just ask yourself. "Is this awesome?" if its not, don't serve it. Good luck read more

Very disapointed as I had such high hopes. The food was just okay. We had the spicy sausage pizza that was the third one on the menu. It came out quick but was really soggy and the crust couldn't hold up to the sogginess. Sat at the bar and waited for a bartender to come over but sadly the pizza got to us before he did. At that point I was over it. We just ate our soggy fairly bland pizza and left. Should have went to Moon Dog instead. So service was terrible and the food was absolutely nothing to write home about. Heck even Papa Murphys has better pizza. Save your cash. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because it's not bad, but it's not great either. I think for families this might be a great spot because of the outside play area and large tables to sit at. I went with 4 friends and we had to walk around forever to wait for a spot to sit down at. They were super busy, so understandably the pizza took awhile to come out. I would say it was average pizza nothing special, kinda flimsy and soggy! I prefer Blaze or Mod Pizza over V's. read more

Very happy with the food but the Service is Terrible. We keep coming back because it's good and close to home but every time it's the same thing with their Service. It's very difficult to get a drink at the bar and if you aren't at the bar you serve yourself. It's Disappointing when you have a good product to offer, then discourage customers from coming back. read more

I was expecting the usual promptness and quality of food that I have had in the past at this location. I was disappointed this time. My wife and I ordered two lunch specials that we usually split. The pizza came out on time but the wings did not come out until we were almost done with the pizza. When we began to eat them half were hot and half were lukewarm and seemed undercooked. This place is the bomb! Love their neapolitan type pizza which had the freshest ingredients, loved the wings and their service was exceptional. A guy named Jimmy was walking around making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. I have tried all their desserts and the limoncello is my fave but so is the strawberry cheesecake gelato! Meh... I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The place was larger than expected and it's set up for you to get your food quick. Me & the Mrs. grabbed a beer from the bar while we waited with our kids. Lots of beer on tap to choose from. Now here's where they started loosing stars. We had never been there & the cashier wasn't the most helpful but that's not too important to me, I can figure food out. But there's only one size to choose from. We're a family of 4, two kids 9 & 11 and they didn't have a size chart so like I said the cashier didn't steer us in the right direction. After we got our pizza we realized it wasn't enough. 2 pizzas would have been too much and not worth the extra $ so an XL option would have been perfect. As far as taste, I can only go with 3 stars tops. I get "all natural" but tomatoes alone don't offer much taste so they'd be wise to step up the spices. The crust is pretty bland & because of the wood fired oven it gets kinda burnt (& that sucks when you're still hungry at the end). Oh and parking isn't friendly as its one way in, one way out...yikes. Overall it's got potential and seems like a better place to have a few drinks than get your pizza fix. read more

Picked up a couple of Stromboli's and calzone. A little doughie on the Stromboli. Calzone was good. Overall pretty good, but really pricey on the order which leads me to the 3 stars. One veggie Stromboli with 3 veggies was $20. $17.50 on Meat Stromboli. Staff was very friendly on order. read more

We got a small pizza and mac and cheese to go. Being from buffalo we know good pizza. The box felt like nothing was in it . The mac and cheese was over cooked and a pool of grease. Should have taken my $25 and got a Degiorgio pizza and a Stouffers mac & cheese. read more

We went to grab some lunch after a tennis match today. I had the Stromboli. It was delicious with a great pizza dipping sauce. Two ladies in the group got bruschetta, it looked great and they seemed to really enjoy it. One lady got the meatballs, that is what I will order next time. I think they should offer some bread to sop up the sauce with when the meatballs are gone though. The fifth friend got wings the looked awesome. I came to this V Pizza location this evening for dinner with a friend tonight. This was my first time eating at V Pizza. I got there before 6:00 PM and it was packed. The whole ordering right at the front door thing kinda caught me off guard but we ordered our food and luckily was able to get a table right away. We ordered a salad and a pepperoni pizza. I have to say that for the prices of the food at this place, I would expect it to be better. The salad came out in a plastic container which I thought was a bit odd. I also ended up getting Tiramisu which was pretty good. I feel like V Pizza needs a lot more organization, not a very good first time experience for me. read more

Definitely my favorite pizza spot in mandarin (maybe anywhere)! I've never had a pie I didn't like from V! Beer selection is pretty good, with lots of local/Florida options! The chicken wings are awesome, very unique and topped with caramelized onions, you must try them if you like wings! One of my favorite pizzas is the chicken wing pizza, but their traditional pies are all good as well, great quality Italian meats! You must try the V Stromboli!!! The peppadew peppers they use give a uniquely sweet, with a flavor and texture almost a a hybrid between a bell pepper and a tomato (but according to Wikipedia, there is no botanical relationship). The kitchen is extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions, including offering a gluten free option as well as dairy-free cheese! I believe the GF crust is not homemade, but you probably wouldn't want them making a gluten free crust in the flour-laden environment where they make their traditional crusts anyhow! Hopefully they wipe down the surface where they put the GF crust while making the pizza; I'm not GF, but I have family members that are and I've tried it and it's not bad. Some people complain the pizza is "burned" but this is the style and it's preferred by means of their customers. If you don't want the edges or other random areas to come out with a slight char on them, make sure to ask them to cook it "lightly" and they will gladly oblige. Also, it seems they have Habanero peppers a lot of times, even if they don't have a current specialty pizza that has them on it, I just ask for a whole one on the side. Update: To show you how awesome this place is, I accidentally ordered their "chicken wing" pizza with prosciutto instead of pancetta! It came out, and I questioned why they didn't put it on before they cooked it? Manager (Karen?) said they would never do that with prosciutto, and then he said I must have had pancetta on it before! He cooked me up another pizza - this time with pancetta - on the house! I can't recall the pizza's real name, but it's nickname is the "chicken wing pizza" because it has the chicken and flavors with caramelized onions like the wings... Awesome food and Awesome service! And if it's your first time going, don't get discouraged by the parking, there's room for a ton of people inside and out. read more

I have been here several times. I love the food, beers on tap, & the atmosphere. I just have a few suggestions. I think there should be a "walk up" area at the bar for the patrons sitting when a server is not present. People who are sitting at the tables take up spaces at the bar. I've had to wait on several occasions for a seat at the bar due to patrons sitting at tables ordering at the bar. Also the parking lot is extremely dark. There needs to be more lighting. As I stated before, this place is amazing and I hope it stays for a long time! Obviously the food, beer, & atmosphere outweigh the my 2 suggestions. read more

I've had calzones and wings, incredible...some of the best wings I've ever eaten! They cook in these fantastic Italian stone ovens, unique and brilliant. Momma Mia! After moving down from Atlanta last May and truly missing the real Italian style pizza that Antico Pizza served up we have found it in Jax and with a little extra room, an amazing craft beer tap selection, and last but not least, seating! This place rocks, the pie was spot on, salads were fresh and the staff was extremely accommodating! The area manager (James) came by to check on how things were tasting and actually let us sample their amazing wood fire wings which we will definitely order next time.
