Good food with an even better ambiance. The warm natural interior combined with being situated within the Treehouse Hotel property (which is absolutely nothing like your idea of a traditional hotel) made me feel like I got transported to Napa or something. A perfect temporary escape which made me forget I was in the middle of Silicon Valley for a second. But back to the food, honestly everything was good and there wasn't anything our party didn't like. The standout for us was definitely the Wood-Fire Eggplant, and this is coming from a group who is very much not vegetarians. The Mango Sticky Rice dessert was a nice fun way to end the meal, offering a unique take on a classic, but I'd still stick with the traditional way. Our only complaint would be that the server automatically added an additional oyster and goat empanada for our party of 3 without our consent. We were fine with the default serving size of 2 for each since one of us didn't want an oyster and I was fine with just sharing an empanada, but the server didn't bother informing us about serving size and didn't check if it was okay with us. A very simple, "it normally comes with 2, is that okay/would you like to add a 3rd" goes a long way in terms of hospitality. Especially when each additional piece was $10.

Disco fries - absolutely delicious. This was without pork.

This restaurant is located walking distance from the Google Cloud campus. I didn't even know this place existed until we had a team lunch there. I was absolutely blown away with everything I ate. I wish I had more space in my stomach to eat more. - Avocado Dip: this comes with banana chips and the combination was absolutely amazing. - Disco Fries: this comes with pork and we asked them to remove it. I mean the fries were to die for. What a unique twist to the fries. - Chickpea Fritters: I mean wow!! I was not expecting it to taste like Indian street food. It was just so good. The salads looked delicious too. I cannot wait to go back and eat there again. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the food.

ARE WE IN SILICON VALLEY? 4.5 One might never know this restaurant exists, tucked away near a Google business park just off Highway 101. You could stumble upon it through Yelp (as we did), discover it while staying at the adjacent Treehouse Hotel, or simply hear about it through word of mouth. The parking situation is an interesting one. After turning into the driveway from Mathilda Avenue, you have two options: turn right for valet parking or left into the Google parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available, though parking there is technically at your own risk. The restaurant told us they had not heard of anyone being ticketed or towed. We first dined here shortly after it opened in 2025 and were immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds. The hotel's eco-conscious gift shop, housed in a glass greenhouse and featuring a colorful vintage VW Bug, is a charming touch. The short walk to the restaurant feels especially relaxing on a warm, sunny day. This has become one of our favorite places to bring friends or host girls' lunches. With three distinct seating options: the dining room, bar, and patio, there's an atmosphere to suit just about any occasion, whether you're dining as a couple or gathering with a larger group. I would recommend visiting during lunch or dinner service and skipping the in-between hours. During that time, only the bar area is open and the menu is more limited. To fully experience what Valley Goat has to offer, lunch or dinner is the way to go. Despite the name, the only goat dish on the menu at the time of this review is the Goat Empanadas. My friend was initially hesitant to order them, but David, our wonderful server, and I encouraged her to give them a try. She was glad she did. There was no gamey flavor whatsoever; the meat tasted more like beef, and the accompanying sauce was excellent. Over several visits, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered and are delighted to have a restaurant of this caliber in our Bay Area backyard. Chef and co-owner Stephanie Izard, winner of Season 4 of Top Chef and an Iron Chef title, owns a total of nine restaurants, primarily in the Chicago area, along with locations in Los Angeles and one at Orlando International Airport. Since we enjoy traveling for great food, we'll definitely be adding some of her other restaurants to our list.

We walked into an inviting greenery-filled restaurant. The menu is tapas-based, however the portions weren't small they were quite generous and shareable. Service staff were fantastic. The cocktails were outstanding. We were a party of four and enjoyed a good variety from the menus.

Menu: They have 3 different menus. Weekday brunch (M-F), Brunch (weekend only), Dinner (M-Sunday). Came here on the weekend (with a reservation) to try their brunch. We ordered a few items to share and each were spectacular. The shrimp salad in particular contained perfectly cooked shrimp (although there weren't many) tossed in the right amount of sauce. The grilled asparagus were delightfully sweet and smokey. The smoked salmon dip paired with pickles were just the right amount of savory, spicy, and sour. Ambience: very greenhouse vibes. The interior had many live walls (walls filled with viney plants), and ceiling decor of plants as well. Along the restaurant was a long line of monsteras, scattered with fiddle leaf plants throughout. Love how "fresh" it made the restaurant feel. Given their different menus I different times, would definitely try to come back and try their dinner menu. Price: food arrives in small plates (for sharing). A bit on the expensive side for the small plates. However, the taste of each dish is exceptional.

Our first time here and was swept away by the creativity, art and architecture of this space and its surrounding. By the visuals alone outside and inside the restaurant, we knew it's going to be such a wonderful experience for us. We had the following: *GOAT EMPANADAS: a different take on the crust - flaky *SPICY HANDROLL DIP: a limey hint on the cracker that goes well with the tuna and hamachi dip *WOOD-FIRED EGGPLANT: hummus was balanced by the pickled veggies *STICKY PORK SHANK: the pickles and salad were perfect to cut this dish, otherwise, it would have been too meaty for me *PANDAN FLAN: very slight flavor of pandan which was perfect for someone who is not a fan of pandan *MANGO STICKY RICE: always a personal favorite, a tad lacking in mango flavor but nonetheless delicious Each dish was thoughtfully prepared! Our server, Jake was super friendly. He pinned everything I expected of a great server. He surprised us with the Pandan Flan because he knew we were hesitant and wanted us to give it a try. I thought that was good PR.

Such a wonderful experience at Valley Goat, I'm already dreaming of returning. Our server Marianne was the kindest person with great recommendations. Started off the a handmade poke roll dip. It was a fun take on chips and salsa. The signature cocktail menu is so creative and the bar is definitely stocked well with top shelf choices. For our main dish we opted for the pork shank & my jolly was it the star of the show. Dessert was perfect size for sharing. The overall decor was stunning and overall a wonderful vibe. What's equally cool is that the restaurant has plenty of open seating to enjoy any vibe you're looking for.

We absolutely loved the vibe of this restaurant! Everything from the atmosphere to the food was amazing. The drinks were delicious, and every dish was a perfect bite. It's a great spot for family-style dining and sharing plates with friends and family. The staff was friendly, and the service was attentive with food arriving at a reasonable pace, making the entire experience enjoyable and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be returning. Looking forward to my next visit!

We came here around 5pm on a weekday without a reservation and were able to get seated within 20 mins. We sat down and order drinks and the disco fries and empanadas. Our waiter ended up putting the order for the wrong table as the empanadas and disco fries ended up at the table behind us and they did not order it. We waited a while for our appetizers, but I would recommend both dishes. The disco fries could be a skip, although it tasted good I don't think it was worth the price. The ceviche I would skip as the fish had an acquired taste. The branzino and sticky pork hock was good and would recommend. The branzino had some creamy sauce which elevated the taste. If you are planning to come, I would recommend making a reservation or else be prepared to wait.

I wish we were allowed to give half stars! It was almost a 5! By like a smidge! The restaurant is a part of a hotel that looks like a great staycation location (we're seriously considering coming back for a staycation and the food as well) We were on our way home from SF and didnt quite want the weekend to end and I've this place bookmarked. We found a reservation and did show up a bit early; the hostess informed us she may be able to seat us earlier but we were happy to explore the surroundings. Their pool area is so inviting and relaxing but you needed a key to get in (understandably) The restaurant provides an outdoor eating space that leads into their beer garden; And their beer garden is full of games and plenty of space to yourself if you just a need a place to read. The outdoor is as beatiful as indoors. The atmosphere is inviting enough for a date nite, a solo dinner, a group night out, etc. The seating is a combination of booths and tables and they also have a private dining room for a party of 12! I was hoping for a booth but alas we got a small table for two (which i always feel like I wanna say "we're gonna order a lot and need more space) so maybe next time. We had the avocado dip (so refreshing and unique and delicious), the short ribs (tasted amazing but nothing i havent had before), the branzino (great! Packed with so much flavor and topping to fill your appetite,) the greenbeans (you MUST order, so flipping flavorful! We wanted more and took more home) and for desert their pandan flan (a great choice and served in an unexpected and different from what i know as flan). The cocktails seemed interesting but the restaurant closes at 10pm and we felt, at times, rushed so we opted for a straight whiskey for my husband and a glass of wine and sparkling for myself. (Their sauvignon blanc was the perfect crisp and the sparkling was perfect for the flan) If it's not a full five stars was because our waiter asked us if we were celebrating anything special and we said our anniversary BUT didnt say congratulations nor did her acknowledge it for the rest of the meal. AND to my horror and my anxiety; they started cleaning up at 9:45pm. They were turning off table lamps and removing them... it just doesn't bode well with me. But it's nothing available little refinement in training cant fix so hopefully in the future guests are rushed out of their dining experience.

everything was good -- the goat empanadas and the mango sticky rice were the dishes i found to be most impressive and the ones i would come back here for. everything else was just good (except the crispy brussels sprouts bc it was salty as heck). the goat empanadas are a must tho, they're really good. pictured: goat empanadas, goat milk bread, mango sticky rice, skirt steak, hamachi poke, crispy brussels sprouts

An outstanding visit from the moment we walked in. We were greeted and seated promptly (with reservation.) We started with the Goat Empanadas. Delicious filling surrounded by a flakey empanada crust. It's no wonder it sells out often. All of the entrees are shareable. Our party of three wanted to try a variety of dishes, and not one disappointed. They all came out individually, which allowed for good company to share a nice bottle of wine (syrah . stolpman 'crunchy roastie' 2022.) If I had to pick my "must-haves" for future visits, I'd say the Sticky Pork Shank, Wood-Fired Eggplant, and Chickpea Fritters would have to join the empanadas. I truly feel that every dessert is worth a try. Both the Mango Sticky Rice and Chocolate Basil Brownie Bash (new) were delicious. So, save room for something! Wonderful atmosphere! There is ample parking, as this restaurant is hotel-adjacent (Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley,) but don't let that fool you or you'll truly be missing out.

Valley Goat is conveniently and oddly right off 237 and Mathilda. Once you ignore the surrounding Google buildings, it almost feels like you've escaped to a remote little getaway spot. The restaurant itself has such warm and welcoming vibes, which honestly feels rare for this part of Sunnyvale, so I'm really glad this place exists. The bar area is beautiful, and the food was absolutely amazing. The fire-roasted branzino was delicious. The "sweet and sour sauce" description almost scared me off, but it actually tasted more like a bright fish sauce vinaigrette that went perfectly with the fish. The sautéed green beans were highly recommended and completely lived up to the hype. Opt for the spiced fries instead of the disco because we weren't in a "loaded" fries mood. And chick pea fitters dish was different and went well with wine. Attentive and friendly staff!

Ask the Community - Valley Goat

Can someone with a pistachios/cashew/macadamia allergy eat here? (Other nuts fine) I see one dessert has pistachio. Not sure if chaat has cashew?

Thank you for reaching out! We use pistachios on our cheesecake as well as cashews in our sautéed green beans. For our green beans, the cashews can be removed to make this dish nut free. We do not use macadamias currently, but other nuts and seeds…

    Do they do take out?

    Yes.

    Does it have vegan options?

I didn't see any vegan options when I went for dinner. There's vegetarian options if that contain dairy. The green beans have fish sauce and the grilled corn has cheese. Not sure if these can be omitted, but it will certainly change the taste.

What is the cross or nearest street on Mathilda? Or what is a well known business next to/very near this business?

It's right by the 237 freeway. You can only enter the parking lot from northbound Mathilda, so once you've gone under the freeway, look for the parking lot on the right. If you see Innovation Way, you've gone too far. Technically, there are lots…

Can I bring my pet goat?

Yes you can. Its a dog friendly place

    Should we make a reservation?

If you mean 'reservation', then yes.

    Can I bring my dogs?

Yes, we saw lots of dogs sitting outside on the patio. It seems very dog friendly!

Is there a cake cutting fee?

Hi Sue, we have an outside dessert fee of $5 per person. This includes all outside dessert that are enjoyed during your visit.

    Is there a kids menu?

    yes

    Is there a happy hour?

They have a "Bar & Bites" daily from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. but not what I'd call a traditional Happy Hour with reduced alcohol and food prices.

It was featured on KQED local station as an elegant late night hotel bar with izakaya style bites. Nokori is an elegant modern Japanese whisky bar nested inside the modern chic Sunnyvale TETRA Hotel (a stylish boutique hotel, right next to Marriott's AC). It opens late into midnight at times. A signature drink is the Japanese whisky highball. It offers well selected whiskey, and cocktails with shoju with Japanese / Asian inspired flavors. This place has great Japanese-style impeccable attention to details: crystal clear Japanese style ice , extra sparkling fizz for the high balls. Even the non-alcoholic highball is dozed with extra sparkling fizz. We enjoyed it. This location is in the heart of Silicon Valley among Google Cloud buildings and famous tech companies. The customers range from hotel goers, tech workers, Googlers, Bay Area startup people discussing IPOs (overheard during our visit) and apparently food writers (from KQED). It way exceeds the standard of a Marriott hotel bar, and is worth a dedicated visit. Park at the parking garage opposite side of the hotel, shares the same parking structure. It offers izakaya style menu, serves small bites, tapas / dishes in the style of Japanese drinking bars. There is a limit number of intimate counter spaces at the bar, but plenty of tables further away from the bar, a spanning view of the lobby and its modern designs. There's also a glass window view of the garden pathway (the winter Christmas decoration was visible from the window was quite pretty). The bar specializes in fancy Japanese whiskeys and highball cocktails, flavored with modern craft cocktail choices and some Japanese inspired choices - shiso, cucumber. We tried Torched Hokkaido Scallops,  Nokori Chicken Karaage, Chowa Highball, Far East Side, Marsuret Brut. All pretty good. The cocktails are strong.  A highball cocktail is basically whisky / shoju, soda water and ice. It is notable they have a soda pump (dispenser) so the bubbles (extra fizzy) are strong (great) and the ice is crystal clear - Japanese cocktail style beautiful, clear ice, melts slowly, tastes good. KQED explains that a highball is made of Japanese whisky soda water and ice. I have noticed the soda was extra extra fizzy and indeed KQED explains that it installed special Japanese soda dispensers. Even when I didn't know, I thought the drinks were excellently fizzy - for someone who likes sparkling water and fizzy drinks, it was immediately notable! And the ice is crystal clear Japanese style cocktail ice. This highball experience is impressive. We ordered the scallops, delicious, the sauce was miso but a bit too salty. The famous chicken karaage fried chicken is golden, light, crispy, needed a bit more seasoning, but it's hard to find good chicken kaarage that's not oily these days so I can definitely see why the food writers liked it. Overall the menu is worth a try. Love the design, ambience, the modern interiors, beautiful selection of whiskeys, reminds me a lot of Tokyo. They carry a good, high end selection of Japanese whiskeys, though I don't know much about it, I can see there are various vintages present, and some of them with a good age / vintage. There are also wines available, and sparkling by the glass. The non alcoholic options are also sophisticated

There was no single overtly disrespectful moment, but the overall tone and repeated small interactions made us feel like we were being judged for having a child with us. At one point, when our daughter accidentally dropped her fork while playing, the reaction we received came across as frustration, which added to that feeling. We understand not every restaurant is designed for young children, but Broma presents itself as a place for friends and family. Instead, we felt like we had to constantly manage and overcorrect normal toddler behavior, which created stress and took away from what should have been a special occasion. Because of that, we didn't feel comfortable raising concerns during the meal when the server checked in--we were more focused on getting through the experience without drawing additional attention. We were also offered an off-menu item without any mention of price. The menu we were given did not list the smash burger, so when I ordered a double, I had no context for the cost. The final price was a surprise, and we would have made a different decision with that information upfront. The food itself did not match the price point. The "smash burger" was not prepared in the style typically expected, and overall the meal felt underwhelming for the cost. Lastly, the billing was confusing. The paper receipt listed "gratuity," while the digital receipt labeled the same charge as a "service charge," making it unclear whether an additional tip was expected. That lack of clarity does not align with the level of transparency expected at this price point. We don't mind paying for a great experience, especially for meaningful occasions, but this visit did not meet that standard and ultimately left us regretting our choice to celebrate here.

The vibe is really cute and tons of outdoor space with games. We came in on a weeknight for dinner and a few drinks. Service was a little slow- our cocktails came after our food items, but staff were friendly. We ordered a few items to share. The strawberry salad was a standout, very fresh ingredients and delicious blend of toppings. We did not add a protein but that was an option. I also enjoyed the shrimp and flatbread. The shrimp had good flavor and was cooked well. The flatbread with duck confit had some heavy toppings with goat cheese and thick glaze. Both were a little too rich for me, but I enjoyed them. Our drinks were tasty and fresh. Overall, we had a good experience and I would go again!

We ordered cocktails "Flying Ace" and "Cielo Rosa", Forager Flatbread, and Roasted Beet Salad, and cheese plate. The cocktails were fun and inventive, but maybe a bit too complex for us. The Flying Ace was a smoky old fashioned type drink with a charred cinnamon stick. Maybe the wrong choice for a sunny afternoon outdoor venue. The Cielo Rosa, with mezcal and jalapeño has a lot going on as well. The forager had great mushroom flavor and loved the roasted garlic. The first bites were great- wish they could have kept the crust crispier for later bites. (Heated plate works well) The beet salad was really good. The crushed pistachios really contrasted well with the beets.
