Chicken fried rice, filet mignon stir fry, Crispy Saigon Chicken Rolls, Salt & Pepper Fried Prawns, garlic noodles

My husband and I love this place. We come here pretty often because we love the food and the service is always great. We always order the same thing- chicken fried rice, filet mignon stir fry, and garlic noodles- so much that the servers remember. The Sunset and margaritas are also our go to! Vanessa's is our go to for date night

Garlic noodles. Looks simple but tastes great

We usually have a great time here. For the flavors, consistency, and location in DTWC, its a nice and reliable spot. Pretty much all the dishes are well seasoned and I dont recall getting anything we didn't like. Portions are kinda small for the prices but not terrible.

Great Vietnamese tapas place! Awesome happy hour! Lychee martinis are super dope! I ordered the crispy chicken rolls and homemade chicken pot stickers! They won't disappoint. Their garlic noodles are the best in the area. Friendly staff, tasty food, great happy hour what more can you ask for....oh the Vietnamese coffee martinis!!!!!

I've been coming here since it was located on Main St. I love their happy hour, my go to drink is the luscious lychee martini. All the dishes are very tasty, exotic & creative also has good presentation! I'm not sure of it's Michael or Jimmy behind the bar, he is always kind & inviting! The staff always excellent service. I'll see you for happy hour soon!

Cute aesthetic, spacious, had TVs to watch games. Service was friendly and attentive. Impressive Happy Hour 4pm-6pm daily and 9pm to close on Friday and Saturday. The drinks were nicely balanced. The coffee martini in particular was not too sweet and just boozy enough. The tuna carpaccio was just ok, nothing wrong with it, but just not very impressive.

Why have I never tried Vanessa's until now?! My friends and I came here to celebrate my birthday and we had a great time. The food was delicious! I had a lychee martini, and we all shared salt and pepper tofu, chicken potstickers, beef and chicken stirfry with garlic noodles, beef carpaccio, quail, bananas foster, and creme brulee. It was all so delicious we thoroughly enjoyed our food, except for the quail. It was a bit dry and gamey and bananas foster was okay. Aside from that everything else was solid. Definitely would come back. Love the tapas assortment, great for sharing everything.

Great customer service. The staff were super nice. The drinks came out quickly. I didn't order food but my drink was perfectly mixed. Nice atmosphere inside. No loud music and a NBA game was on.

There is a lot of parking since it is in the Safeway shopping center in Downton PH. We were sat right away and looking at the menu, a lot of the dishes felt more modern than traditional (when I compare it to other Vietnamese restaurants I go to). Decided to go with my comfort dish, which is Grilled Pork Rice Plate. Grilled Pork Rice Plate: I opted for brown rice for a healthier approach. The pork was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was also not dry and had a good amount of flavor to it. It sat on a bed of lettuce, which gave it a nice presentation. Overall, a simple dish which I thoroughly enjoyed and had leftovers after. I had a great time eating lunch with my parents and my partner. I look forward to coming here again.

For appetizers, we tried their crispy rolls. The husband couldn't eat these because they had some shrimp in them, but more for the kids and me. Came with a side of fish sauce, and overall was pretty tasty. My son isn't too big on pho, so he tried a pork chop plate and the garlic noodles. He said both were good. He ate it all, so actions match his words there. My daughter mentioned the chicken pho she had contained a lot of chicken and she likes it that way. She also noticed the better quality of meat and bigger portions. Their special pho is an XL size and comes with the shortrib on the bone. I need to come back here very hungry to devour that or at least split that and other stuff with a friend. I've had their other beef pho, and they were good. Def good quality beef. There was a time where I wanted a certain combo without the meatballs and requested they added more of their tendon and tripe instead, but it seems they just took out the meatballs since there were just a couple pieces of tendon in there. The noodles really cooked within the broth. It was interesting since the broth didn't feel too hot as I was able to eat / drink it right away, but the noodles ended up much softer than I'd like. Casual setting here with the tables, cashier, some TV on the walls, etc.

First, parking can be a pain especially during peak hours as this place can get quite busy. With that said, there is plenty of space inside for quite a few people. The menu is straight forward offering all the regular suspects in a Pho restaurant. I went with the normal beef noodle soup and some appetizers. Both items came out super fast and I can understand why as this place is a mecca for to go orders, so quick delivery is a must. Honestly all the food was great, no complaints on my side and a happy belly afterwards. Price wise compared to portion was great too, really nothing to complain about overall. Would happily revisit soon!

Their beef pho with steak and brisket, TOP TIER. I also recommend their crispy egg rolls, pork chops, and pork vermicelli bowls. A pro tip my dad taught me whenever I eat pho is to ask for a separate bowl. And in this bowl take half your noodles (no soup) and mix it with hoi sin and sriracha. Now you have two noodles: one warmed up in soup, and another tossed in yummy spicy sauce! But seriously I've laughed, cried, everything in this joint. The workers are soooo friendly and always so speedy with bringing out your food. One time my friend ordered a small kids bowl because she wasn't that hungry and before the waiter even returned back into the kitchen the food was out! Crazy!

It's located in a small structure in front of the Atrium building in Walnut Creek. Inside is a small counter with no place to sit. They take your order and you're expected to go outside, on the other side of the store, to wait for your meal. There are a few tables and chairs outside that's ideal when the weather is good. The aroma of freshly cooked Thai tea filled the space. I ordered BBQ pork and it came out smaller than I expected but it tasted clean and fresh. It was enough to satisfy my craving. Service wasn't very fast as they cook the meat as you order that accounts for the freshness of the sandwich. I paid for extra pâté but it still wasn't enough. If you're used the the huge delicious banh mis from Story Road in San Jose, the pork bbq sandwich from here don't measure up as far as I'm concerned. They're much smaller, almost half the size. I wish the pork bbq had more flavor to it and more veggies were added. If you have a big appetite, one sandwich might not be anough.

Although the location is not prominent, pictures of their beautifully crafted drinks and delicious bánh mì sandwiches have been spreading across different social media platforms. So much so that they have been featured in reporting by several local media outlets. Out of curiosity, I decided to check this spot out with my brother and a couple friends on 08/29/2025. It wasn't busy when we walked in at around noon. A quick glance revealed a space that's tiny but well organized. We were greeted by Thuy, the friendly proprietor of the establishment. Since this was our first visit, it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. In the end, we each got a bánh mì sandwich and a beverage. Pricing was reasonable IMHO (see menu pic). I had the cold cut bánh mì and an iced coffee. I gave half of my sandwich to my brother, and he gave me half of his grilled chicken bánh mì in return. Both sandwiches were delicious! The baguette was excellent. It was crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside. Thuy told me later on that she gets them from Duc Huong Sandwiches, a famed Vietnamese sandwich chain in San Jose. The homemade pâté, cold cuts, and grilled chicken were all delicious, and the produce was very fresh. The iced coffee was very good as well. We chatted with Thuy extensively before and after our meal. She told us she was a banker prior to opening this café. From our conversation, I could tell she takes pride in her work. We were all very impressed by her demeanor and business acumen. Should you find yourself in downtown Walnut Creek, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. As I was serving the soup, I noticed something unusual. When I picked it out and placed it on the counter, it was clearly a yellow worm. Completely shocked, I contacted Uber Eats customer service. They only offered a refund for the soup, not the chow fun, because the issue wasn't visible in that item. But honestly, how am I supposed to feel comfortable eating anything else from the same order after finding a worm in one dish? I then called the restaurant to report what happened, and instead of addressing the seriousness of the issue, the manager asked what we wanted them to do and even offered free food. That response was disappointing and didn't feel appropriate given the situation. It's unfortunate because we've ordered from here before and the food was good, but after this experience, we couldn't bring ourselves to eat the rest of the meal. Dinner and our appetite was completely ruined and it came with a price.
