Because of this I've never been able to share the gloriousness that is a full seafood boil, especially a good one like Pier 88. The headless peel n' eat shrimp and crawfish, the true backbone of any decent boil, were plump and delicious. I felt kind of giddy every time I would finish one and saw how many were left. The lobster tail was a good change-of-pace and the king crab legs, admittedly not my favorite item, still managed to satisfy. I also like how they threw in so much potatoes and sausage into the mix. It was definitely super generous at what other places consider an afterthought. I thought the service was alright. They seemed to have forgotten one of my party's margaritas but that could have been more a slow bartender than an inept server. I also never got a prompt to refill my soda, which is a little more concerning. The ambiance was pretty good. There were plenty of tables and booths, and everything was spaced appropriately. You definitely don't feel like you're on top of the tables around you. They also had plenty of TV's as the World Cup was easy to watch along with. I could be happy here any time I get the craving for some shrimp and crawfish. And as long as the servers were more diligent about refills. One time I'll figure out how to get Miss Scotch herself to one of these things, dirty hands be damned. I'd say getting your hands in the muck and mire of delicious foods is half the fun. And with places like Pier 88 out there, you could be having a fun time and a full belly every day of the week.

When you first walk into this place you have hope for great Texas BBQ. They options are simple (as…read morethey should be for a real BBQ place), meats and a few sides and some sandwiches. I ordered the loaded brisket fries, 1 lb or moist brisket, 1/2 lb or burnt ends. The loaded fries were awesome and fresh crispy fries with 3 nice pieces of moist brisket on top. Highly recommend Burnt ends - my all time favorite and hard to get at a true BBQ place as they go fast as true burnt ends are limited. These did not disappoint and were spot on. Brisket - I like moist was real real tender and had a great flavor. We also had a side of the brisket baked beans and those babies were amazing. The have not a spicy and a regular BBQ sauce and I loved the spicy for sure. The regular is spot as as well and I just prefer spicy. The pit master and his wife (?) were super nice and the resultant was very relaxed and not loud at all. This is the BEST BBQ in the valley hands down. I'm not a local as I live in Leander TX and this review is my own.

Both meats were tender, smoky, with a well defined smoke ring with very good color. I got my food to go, but after seeing the nice decor inside, I kinda wanted to stay! The sides (Mac and cheese & corn) were fair, with just a little hint of flavor. I'll get the beans next time!!! Staff was quick to serve, but there were no other customers when I got there. I'll be back!

We found Tendernism! As someone who enjoys BBQ in Texas, Destination Smokehouse does a good job…read morereplicating the flavors. Diving in, the pork belly was the highlight of the meal. It was well seasoned and had a delicious glaze. Literally melts in your mouth! As far as the sides go, don't sleep on the Mac and cheese! They use radiatori pasta gives hearty chews and the cheese sauce is well seasoned. And the yams give holiday spice and everything nice! Smell them and get your mouth watering! The beef rib is visually the star of the show. It tasted like a standard beef rib, but is not anything to rave about. And they don't have the same sides like you would find at most Texas joints. No okra, no peach cobbler, no corn, no desserts. Definitely some room for improvement with the sides. Overall, it's a decent spot that I would probably not wait in line for again for. Get there early and set appropriate expectations. When we arrived, the oxtail was and pork ribs were sold out. Since it's gone viral, expect a decent wait and elevated pricing. For instance, the loaded fries are flavorful, but the price to value ratio is off. They are $23 and are slightly larger than animal fries from In-N-Out.

Stopped here for dinner on a Friday night with a friend and my fiancé. Been seeing this place all…read moreover instagram so wanted to see if it was worth the hype. I was honestly surprised how dead it was for a Friday night, literally only two other tables were there. We were so excited to try the brisket and smoked wings but were super disappointed to find out they were out of both. We ended up ordering the beef bone which was like $65, it was okay def not worth 65. We also got the Mac, coleslaw, pork ribs, turkey breast and cornbread. All were okay as well. Ambiance was pretty bland very basic cookie cutter restaurant style and service was okay. Honestly nothing that I would come back for and also a little too expensive for what it was.
