A sort of fast food restaurant which covers menu from soups to salads to sandwiches to sweets to drinks and trust me everything is plant based and free from animal products and relatively healthy ! So delicious & satisfying. Even an omnivore should love this place. OMG The buffalo 'wings' are to die for(had for the first time since m a vegetarian) & It is also pretty cheap. Most things on the menu are around $10. Service is super quick !! We got couple of things at the place and almost everything was great !! Have to update my old review due to how this place has made my life so much easier. I probably eat here (or order takeouts from here) for lunch every single day. Yes their food is on the pricier side of things and sometimes the portion that you get can be pretty inconsistent in term of small or generous. But Veggie Grill have made 'watching what I eat' a breeze. I can stick to a low-carb diet while still being able to eat delicious food. I mean technically you can still eat good stuff while on a healthy diet if you make your own, but I'm a lazy ass. I wish other restaurants offer the level of customization the way Veggie Grill do. I used to just eat salad and salad and salad until I grew sick of eating raw veggies. But Veggie Grill allow you to customize their sandwiches and burgers to come in a lettuce-style instead of with carb-laden buns and substitute their side of fries for roasted broccoli; and with their bowl you can substitute quinoa or rice for cauliflower rice. I can easily stay in the range of 30s to 40s g net carbs per meal. Use the nutrition calculator on their website if you're into macros. Even though this is a vegan joint, but all of their meat definitely look and taste really close to the real thing. Just like everyone else I know, when I first took a bite of their chickin and burger I just couldn't help but asked that big question: "Are you sure this is not meat?" My coworkers really love their Kale salads and I probably would have been too if it's not for my aversion for kale. My work wife is addicted to their Mondo Nachos. They have seasonal items like the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich that's absolutely delicious. To be honest, it's so hard to pick a favorite here. And I say this after a long contemplation on a daily basis. Some of my all-time favorites here are the Rustic Farm Bowl, BBQ Beef Sandwich (used to be BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich), VG Beyond Burger, The Luxe Burger, B-Wing Salad, Buffalo Bomber, Beyond Cheesesteak, and the Masala Bowl. Just a word of warning, everyone agrees that their cheese is some kind of 'liquid crack', just can't get enough of it. They do partner with MealPal as well and you work around the area, they're there for daily lunch rotation, although you can expect a little smaller portion (about 20-30% less) than regular. I was in the process of canceling my MealPal subscription until they joined which effectively made me cancel my cancellation. With MealPal, you pick up at the counter (there's a pick up lane - don't wait in the regular lane) and scan your MealPal QR code although I never get reception in there and their wifi doesn't work, sometimes I use the next-door wifi instead but that one is also a dud some days. I work nearby so I can just walk here anytime I want. Parking can be a little pain in the arse like what you'd expect in downtown. The restaurant gets super busy at lunch hour so I'd recommend placing an online order that you can pick up at their pick up counter (by the drink fountain area), or if their online ordering is down, you can just call in to order and use the pick up lane to pay at the counter. I find the staff here all super nice, always so warm and welcoming everytime I come in. Although they can come off as unfriendly to some people if you come during the super swamped rush hour though. If you like their food and plan on coming by regularly, you should totally get their app cause every $99 you spend you get $9 off on your next order. I need to emphasize that I'm not paid to write this review, I just love this place so much for making my life so easy with not having to choose between delicious food or healthy eating. :) read more

Very impressed with Veggie Grill! As a self-proclaimed carnivore I never thought I would visit a place with no meat but I was WRONG! Honestly, it feels good to get some vegetables in my diet and you'd expect a vegetarian restaurant to be particularly skilled at making veggies taste good! I got the bulgogi beef bowl and it tasted a lot like real meat, I have to say. The sauce was delicious and the mix of veggies and cauliflower rice meant that i didn't feel super heavy after eating it. Then he offered me to give me a store credit, asking me for my info, and when I did, that's all the communication got cut off completely....of course I didn't receive the voucher. I mean I didn't want the credit that much anyways and I wasn't going to go back to the same location for sure, but at this point I had to laugh. Not only the employee at this location stole from me, I felt cheated by the corporate customer service rep as well. Thanks for nothing! Previous update: I initially gave them a four star but now i am changing it to 1 star. I used my credit card for payment and I gave them no tip. I know exactly how much it was for my food: $13.43. Now I see my credit card transaction online says $15.43. I did cross out the tip and wrote down total $13.43 and signed on it. The employee adjusted my credit card transaction and gave herself $2 tip. How dishonest!! She thought I wouldn't notice it. I would never ever recommend this place. I don't really feel like it is fair to give a negative review for a restaurant because it serves meat substitutes. This is what they do. If you don't like that, please go to a different restaurant. That being said, what Veggie Grill does is absolutely fantastic. I had the Nashville Hot Chick'n and it was absolutely spectacular. The service here at the Seattle location was just wonderful; kind and friendly service which is not always easy to find downtown. The restaurant is clean, and there is ample seating and space between the tables so you don't feel like you are sitting with the table next to you. If you are looking for delicious and fast vegan food, I couldn't recommend this place more highly. read more

I'll update this review to 5 stars if you stop constantly changing the menu. It's so unbelievably annoying to not be able to just tell someone what to order for you because it's always changing. There was some new menu on the item that we a quesadilla burger, had it once when it was new, tasted good. Now it's gone. And now you don't carry any beverages that a normal person would want to order either. It's like kombucha and milk or some such ridiculousness? Finding a great salad place in Seattle has been difficult and especially hard because every place I sampled cannot compare to Sweet Greens on the East Coast. Veggie Grill is okay and not a place where I would go out of my way to have lunch. The restaurant is very clean and the employees are extremely nice offering advice on popular dishes. There weren't that many people eating in or standing in line so service is also very quick. The taco salad I ordered was a disappointment. I thought the lettuce tasted a little old and wilted. The jicama was a little bitter and sparsely spread throughout the top. The corn and beans tasted like it was poured from a can. Finally the protein was tasted like warm dehydrated tofu lathered with taco sauce from a premixed package. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but this place was not worth the price I paid. It's not farm to table and did not taste fresh. It's possible with the lack of foot traffic the food sat too long on the shelves. I don't think I will come here again. However, the employees are very pleasant. Maybe the restaurant food will improve as downtown opens back up and has more foot traffic. read more

Probably the best vegan burger I've ever had. It imitates meat pretty well but don't go in with the expectation it's gonna be anything like meat. The way the vegan cheese tastes and melts, it's great! This is an ideal replacement to your typical fast food chain. I wouldn't say the food is healthier than a regular burger joint but if you're conscious about consuming animals, it's a good alternative. This only bad experience I had at a Veggie Grill so far (as I have been to various Veggie Grill locations often and had great experiences) but it was pretty significantly disappointing this time. I usually order the kids meal, as the portion is perfect for when I eat alone, but the amount I received this time was far not reflective of the money I paid for -- especially the sweet potatoes. Felt like they only tossed in a several fries and can clearly tell (by the picture) that they were soggy and some were uncooked, actually. Scanning for rewards was complicated as well. The new app didn't scan so they printed me a code to manually put in but that didn't work so had to go the extra way to call customer service. read more

Thanks to the new Veggie Grill app on my phone, I got a free entree from the "new" Winter Menu. I keep finding new favorite dishes every time I come here. This time I tried the Steak BBQ wrap (minus the BBQ sauce). Soooo good! And too much to eat all at once, so this is turning into two meals for me. I also had fries as my side, which were good, just wished they were saltier. Since it was lunchtime, this location was packed! Luckily, a seat opened up just as I was about to give up hope. My order came relatively quickly, which was surprising based on how many people were in line to order or pick up their take-out food. The staff were all super friendly & helpful (I always have multiple questions, and see if they can tailor the meal to my liking (ie - no BBQ sauce, light on the carmelized onions) and they always do. They have a deal going on right now, where you can buy a $30 gift card & get a free entree. I'm pretty sure I'll be back in to VG before 12/31/13, so hoping to take advantage of this great deal. Nothing says I give up like settling for vegan food. I was headed to a concert at the Paramount. It was Seattle Restaurant Week so my intention was to check out one of the participating restaurants nearby. After having a look at numerous restaurants, I threw up the white flag and decided to give Veggie Grill a try. This is the newest location in the area. The restaurant neighbors Potbelly and RN74 on 4th Avenue. The menu is fast casual and the setup is the same. It does not feel like a fast food place, but not a full service restaurant either. If you are dining in, one of the staff members will deliver your meal to your table. The food here is vegan as it contains no meat, dairy or eggs. No cholesterol or trans fat for that matter. Though I was a bit skeptical about vegan food tasting good, I have tried numerous vegan products like Field Roast and Tofurky which has made me rethink this. The menu here is full of American food favorites except they are vegan. I decided to give the crispy chickin plate a try. You can substitute sides for an additional dollar or two if you would prefer something else. I decided to switch the potatoes for some mac and cheese for a buck. Though I did keep the kale. And I ordered a drinking glass in which you can choose from a variety of freshly made fountain drinks that they offer. The food is a bit pricey given the restaurant setup. Paid $16 after tip. It is not a place I would recommend for a quick reasonably priced bite. You would be better off going to Potbelly instead. The meal itself was actually surprisingly good. I did not expect it to be as appealing as it turned out to be. The crispy chickin did taste like you were actually eating meat. The porcini mushroom gravy goes well with it. Kale was nicely steamed, while the mac and cheese tasted like there was really dairy. Very creamy. The ginger hibiscus tea was sweet and soothing. All in all, my meal at Veggie Grill was enjoyable despite my initial reservations. So excited to be in a city again that has a veggie grill. This is a vegans dream, like a McDonalds but vegan- whaaaaa?! This particular veggie burger has a good location, right in the downtown area. Although I went during dinner time, I can see this spot being pretty busy for the weekday office lunch crowd; but there was only a couple diners and no line when I walked up. I was feeling famished when I arrived, I would typically be a salad gal, but I grabbed the "buffalo bomber" sandwich. A crispy "chicken" tossed in buffalo sauce with ranch and a side of fries. Literally I sat down, checked in on Yelp (obvi) and looked up - boom - my food was ready. As expected this sandwich was amazing.
