This was my first ever head spa experience and it was a fantastic one! I treated my friend to a deep scalp treatment for her birthday and we had a great time. The spa itself smelled amazing, was very clean and the staff was very kind. We did the 1 hour treatment and it was very relaxing. If you're looking for an all around great head spa experience, I would highly recommend velvet head spa in Campbell.

I've been going to Velvet Head Spa now for the past year and I have to say it is definitely worth it. At first I was apprehensive, since it sounded like just a regular wash and blowout that you would just get at a typical hair salon, but it is so much more than that. When you first come in, they have an endoscope that is used to do a scalp evaluation as well as a before and after. You can see all the buildup from hair products that are left on the hair follicle as well as your scalp condition (dry/oily). As a person who uses a lot of hair products, it was interesting to see what is still leftover on your hair over time even when washing at home. Then you are taken to a private room where they will exfoliate, shampoo and condition your hair. I have tried several hair specialists and I would have to say Suzie has been my favorite and now my only go-to person. She is very thorough and makes the experience super relaxing. I have fallen asleep during the treatment several times. Whatever products they use, it feels very refreshing. In the middle of treatment, you get a neck and shoulder massage as well while whatever product they use settles in. Suzie uses the perfect amount of pressure and knows the points to hit. I like my massages on the heavier side so I'm glad she doesn't do just a rub down. After everything is washed off, you go to get your hair blow dried. My scalp feels so nice and clean after, you can definitely tell the difference once your hair is all dried. My hair felt like it had bounce again, and this is coming from someone who has long thick hair. Afterwards, you have your scalp evaluated again with the endoscope to see the results. I was blown away with the difference the treatment made and immediately became a believer. So much that I joined their membership which gives you a monthly discounted price. Service here has always been on point and the complimentary drinks are a nice touch. Highly recommend!

My friends wanted try head spa we decided to give this spot a try. Would say that overall had an OK experience and personally don't recommend it as I didn't feel like it was worth the price. We made an 1:30pm appointment, but when we arrived, the staff insisted that our appointment was at 1:15 and said that it's OK that we can get started right away anyways. There seemed to be some confusion right off the bat when we arrived for our appointment. The staff then led us into a room to use a tool to show us the conditions of the scalp. This was all good but I was just slightly concerned that they just used the tool from person to person without any kind of cleaning or sanitization of the tool. It was fine since its between the group of friends but I was curious if the tool is being cleaned across customers as a result. There were minimal instructions when they brought us into the rooms, and even though we were supposed to choose between basic or deep scalp based on the online appointment system, it seems like the staff didn't know what treatments we're getting and also didn't ask us which one we wanted so I didn't end up getting a choice. The treatment itself was fine and relaxing, but I feel like for $75 I'd rather go for a real massage. Overall, would say the experience was fine and I didn't feel amazing after but just OK. Worth a try if you're really curious.

I went with a group of friends and we were split 2 per room. The room was dim with tranquil music. When the technicians came in and started, no one was talking and it was perfect. Got the Deep Scalp Therapy: Daniel was great! The scalp massage and cleaning was very thorough! Shoulder and neck massage pressure was perfect. There was even a slight sinus, forehead, and temple massage that I didn't know I needed. Hair drying skills was on point. Asked me how I part my hair, gentle with detangling and gave a subtle little blow out. Scalp analysis, would have liked the staff that was providing the analysis to have been more informed on how to care for the issues that were pointed out. I asked the guy at the front desk-- one with the glasses and curly hair-- and he provided good advice on how to move forward with next steps for scalp care. Everyone was so nice.

What a luxurious experience. I had a 90-minute treatment with Canh that began with a personalized hair analysis and flowed into a back massage, neck massage, facial, and an incredibly relaxing hair massage and wash. My hair has never felt so clean. Honestly, I'd come back just to lie there for another 60 minutes of pure relaxation.

I was looking around for a head spa spot and saw that this place has quite an amount of reviews. It was a last minute decision since I recently felt like my scalp was irritated. I love how cute and cozy the place is. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I had a great time with Suezie who's very informative about hair care. She was gentle but the massage was a good pressure. She knows how to do it right! The scans in the beginning and the end will tells you how your scalp looks and I thought I have oily scalp for the longest time until I did this. Part of this is for me to find out what kind of product I should use too. So far, first time, no issues for me. Will definitely return :))

My friend and I really wanted to try a scalp treatment place. This place was open pretty late, and we were able to make last-minute reservations for a Sunday night! The first thing they do is look at your scalp and show you what's going on their iPad. Mine was really nasty and flaky. :( We both decided to get deep scalp therapy (50 mins) and added a facial (25 mins). I love how the services weren't rushed... and afterwards, they even blow-dried my hair, and it was so soft! I didn't wash my hair for three days, and it wasn't even oily. I had Hana, and I thought she was really good. She even asked me if I wanted to just relax or if I wanted her to let me know which steps she was doing. Since this was my first time, I wanted to know the steps. She was really soft-spoken when she explained the next steps; I still felt super relaxed. Everything felt so good. I really liked the detoxing scalp part. My scalp felt so clean and minty!! After the treatment, they show you the results on their iPad. My scalp definitely looked cleaner!! I would definitely come back and book another session with Hana. My friend also liked her treatment as well.

First time here and I booked only a few hours before my appointment. So glad they were able to schedule me in. I opted for the 60 min deep scalp hair therapy and 25 min shoulder and back massage. Tara helped me for both services and she was wonderful!! She really took the time to massage my tight shoulder and back as well as making sure i'm feeling alright. For my scalp treatment, I felt that she was very attentive and took her time, making sure the treatment is deep in my scalp and not like randomly doing it. Everything from the ambiance and space was nice and clean. Will def come back!

Today was my first time trying velvet spa and I was really pleased. I got the 90min signature with Suzie. It included back massage, facial and hair wash. I was so relaxed. I keep falling asleep. Haha! After your treatment they take you to a separate room where they dry your hair and offer you complimentary drink. I was really pleased with my visit. I can't wait to come back next time.

I came in hoping for a relaxing, restorative head spa experience with a facial, but left with my hair feeling dry, frizzy, and completely stripped of moisture. It's clear they don't know how to care for textured hair at all. The products and techniques they used were not suited for my hair type, and to make things worse, they clearly had no idea how to properly blow dry textured hair--it only added to the damage. If you have dry, curly, or textured hair, avoid this place. They are not trained or equipped to handle it, and your hair will pay the price. I let them know I did not like the results with how dry and frizzy my hair was left. They ended up just wetting it a bit with some leave in conditioner...as soon as I got home I did a hair mask and rewashed it. Side note, the facial does not include any extractions or steam.

    They also sell products.

First time here, had a basic scalp and facial combo with my friend. The service was nice and detail. I kinda fell asleep in the middle of the facial haha But when I woke, my hair was much light and zero oil. My favorite thing is that they actually put the time to explain and try to teach us how to treat our hair. So the guy at the front was really nice.

As soon as we came in, the atmosphere was peaceful and warm, and Sam T and Tracy further enhanced our experience with their great vibe. My mom is still raving about Sam T. She keeps telling me how comfortable she was and how much her body was improved after the session. She was so crazy about it that she went ahead and booked her boyfriend a session with Sam T right after we left, which is basically the proof. Speaking of my session, I was with Tracy, and she blew me away. She gave me the attention I needed and mainly worked on the parts of my body where I usually have the most stress. The thing I liked the most was her depth of knowledge. She didn't just target those areas but also told me what she was observing and indicated to me what might need more work in the future. The whole thing was very much a one-to-one treatment, and it seemed like she really wanted to help me improve not just for the time being but long-term as well. They both, in a way, almost made us forget about time and totally immerse ourselves in the moment. We will definitely be coming back in the near future.

What was more frustrating was that my treatment ended up being only about 60 minutes instead of the 90 minutes I expected. I was told this was due to an additional service included in my package, but that wasn't clearly explained beforehand. There were also several issues with the package benefits. Lunch was supposed to be included but was never provided, and I had to remind staff about the $50 credit that was also part of the package. Having to repeatedly ask for amenities that were already paid for took away from the experience. The highlight of the visit was the facial. The esthetician was wonderful, and it was honestly the most relaxing part of the day--I nearly fell asleep during the treatment. Unfortunately, between the shortened massage time, missing package inclusions, and having to advocate for benefits that should have been automatically honored, I didn't feel I received the value I paid for. I hope management improves communication and package fulfillment for future guests.

We started off with my massage therapist asking what type of pressure I prefer. I said I like it hard. No pain, no gain. Get those knots out. And since I work at a computer all day, I told her I carry a lot of tension in my neck shoulders. After voicing that, I did find my massage felt more like a relaxing swedish massage. The pressure wasn't that hard. One thing I did note, they start on your feet but don't wash their hands afterwards when they move on to the rest of you. I kinda found that a little weird. I mean, I did just shower before I showed up, but still. I will never say no to a massage so glad my gf and I did this. Tho I wish I spoke up more during the massage. The massage chairs are super comfortable and have a variety of massage options. It was so soothing that I fell asleep during my massage. There are a variety of popular scrub massage options that I did not try this time around. The downstairs co-ed dry saunas were a bit underwhelming. The saunas were comfortably warm and had blankets to rest on. These saunas didn't seem to be for the purposes of detoxing since they were at a moderate temperature. Once we paid and given key to lockers and 3 towels (1 large & 2 small), we locked up our shoes (only) in the lockers to the right of the front desk. Then headed inside to grab a pair of slippers from the shelves to the left (don't grab the ones in the basket on floor which are for used slippers). Then head upstairs to the locker rooms to change and store your things to the same numbered locker. Also, grab a pair of shorts from the shelves in there. The room with massage chairs is nice if you can find a good chair. The first massage chair I tried was perfect for my needs because I have neck and shoulder issues recently but the massage chair I have at home doesn't even reach my neck and only somewhat knead my shoulders and massages whole body. This chair (where the display controller is mounted on right and has a "neck & shoulder" function) was able to focus only on the neck and even up the back of head and down to the shoulder and shoulder blades areas only (pull out the padding behind the head area if you don't feel much happening). Some of the chairs did seem worn down and torn up but many were in good shape as well. Downstairs is the 3 Jade, Clay, and Salt rooms including an Ice room. No slippers inside rooms so place slippers on the shoe racks outside. Be extra careful going inside the clay room. There are handrails to help you get in and out because the clay balls are actually a few inches deep and very slippery and it's kind of like you're stepping into quicksand. My friends did the body scrub while I did the massage. I don't know if all masseuses massage the same way there but I did not know that the massage included being stepped on. I am a very petite gal and Gina was a bit bigger than me. It wasn't just stepping with one foot but with both! I don't know how much of her entire weight was on me because there were two ropes hanging for her to hold onto but I felt like I was being tortured during the 10-15 minute that she was on me. I can understand if the client is much bigger and so you need your full weight to get enough pressure, but I am only just around 100 lbs, petite, and asked for medium pressure and was still stepped on. After that massage, certain spots around my back and pelvis (boney spots) seemed as if they were bruised cause they hurt with even just touch. She handed me an envelope afterwards for tips. I still tipped her but I don't think I would get a massage there again due to that experience. Maybe if you are a bigger build or get a different masseuse you might enjoy it. Overall, her massage was not all that useful, or even if it was, the stepping on undid it by giving me a traumatic experience. But there were a few times I thought what she was doing didn't seem like it did anything. If I hadn't gotten the massage, I would have given 5 stars because the facility and front desk staff I encountered were great (I asked front desk about adding massage and she was very friendly and helpful and immediately was able to book the massage for the earliest opening a few hours later), but I had to take a star off just for my experience with that masseuse. Would go back to the spa to unwind and relax, but I will most likely not get massage there again.

I am still paying for unused facial services but no longer feel comfortable returning. All I have requested is a direct call from the owner to address this situation, but to date, that has not happened.
