THIS IS NOT A VERIZON STORE, IT'S AN AUTHORIZED DEALER!! This review is only about the underhanded way the transaction was done, by the Assistant Manager David. This review has nothing to do with Verizon itself. This store used to be a corporate store and I had been a customer there for the past 5 years, so not my first rodeo with upgrades etc. ,now it is owned by authorized Verizon dealer Victra. I ordered my IPhone XS Max and it was being shipped to the store, I thought it was weird that I did not get an email that it had arrived to the store. When I went in to see if it was there, they said it wasn't and gave me someone else's order, the assistant manager David asked me if all the fees had been gone over with me, I said no, as always I pay the tax on the phone and $30 activation fee. He proceeded to tell me that now Verizon charges $179 + tax for the iPhones now. I assumed that to be correct and that it was a extra charge from Verizon now. As the transaction was going through, David said "Oh, I can give you a case, glass and wireless charger for free", so I said ok, I didn't really need them, but they were free right? With out asking me and before I looked up to see what was happening, David had went ahead and placed the glass protector on the phone, I would have asked him not to do that, if he would have asked first. After all was said and done, I left the store with everything, the only good thing was that David told me that it was not worth turning in your old phone as a trade in, because I could get a much higher price for it by selling it on my own. That is the only thing I will thank him for, because I simply switched back to my old phone. Well, a few hours later come to find out, that was all a lie, after calling Verizon, I was informed that this store changed from a corporate store to an authorized dealer and there was no extra charge of any kind other than the tax on the phone and the $30 activation fee. If I had been told that I would have just ordered the phone straight from Verizon online, since I didn't need any of the accessories and I can wait to get it. So, 22hrs later here I am at the store to return everything, of course I am getting the song and dance that this is their bundle fee and they are not required to disclose that they are an authorized dealer. I keep telling him that he said it was Verizon's fee and never mentioned a bundle, but he would never admit to that. Now, as usual they can only return a certain amount, because he can't do anything about re-stocking fee which is $70 and the glass shield that he had put on the phone which would now be $49.99 and some BS about activation fees from their store $19.99. He says everyone charges a bundle fee, which is not true at all, so I waited an hour for it all to finish up and he had to disconnect my Apple watch to make sure everything was done right and I left only being credited $150.36 of the $294.21 I paid just 22 hrs earlier. Also, read the "Satisfaction Guarantee" on their own receipt ( I read it after I got home) I'll try to post a photo of it, but they don't even uphold their own contract. It clearly states that if you return your items within 3days the restocking fee is only $35 and any activation fees will be refunded. Now, I did call Verizon and told them the whole situation, since these stores are representing them and they could not have been any more amazing, they credited my account for the rest of the amount I had paid, ordered my new phone with no other fees and 2 hrs later were able to activate my Apple watch again, because who knows what David did to my account earlier. I even ordered my case, glass and wireless charger from Amazon. Definitely stick with Verizon, but, do not go to this store at the Irvine Spectrum, just go to Apple or Verizon online and get your accessories from Amazon. Always ask if the store you are at is an actual Verizon store or authorized dealer and obviously I am not the only one this has happened to. read more

HORRIBLE. Do not go here. My wife and I walked into this store on labor day weekend under the impression we were walking into a Verizon corporate store because of the sign which says "Verizon"! Little did we know this store is actually Victra (authorized reseller). There is zero signage within the store to indicate this. How Verizon corporate allows this kind of false advertising to occur is a testament to our failing government safeguards. Thanks capitalism. Long story short. Do not shop here. My wife and I's story mirrors nearly every other negative review posted here. We walked in hoping to update our plan purchase new iPhone. We were told we our monthly plan would be lower. It was not. We were told we were not signing a new contract. In fact, we did. Our salesperson was Mark and essentially withheld information and/or flat out did not disclose our full bill and that we were signing up for their Hum promotion. My wife ended up trading in her old Iphone for an Iphone X and we were told we would now qualify for unlimited data. Sounds great, right? Wrong. Again, long story short when we got home to check our account, somehow our bill jumped from $215 to $500+! We also realized we in fact had signed up for a 2 year contract because we accepted the Hums, two completely redundant appliances that we didn't even ask for or want to buy!! We ended up on the phone with Verizon corporate and managed to be reimbursed for the fees we were charged by the Victra store. We also went back the next day and returned everything (Hums, etc.). The store manager, Ethan, was rude and basically blamed us for the entire situation. We had the verizon store representative on the phone the entire time we were present in the store because we wanted a record of the interaction. I HIGHLY recommend you do this if you too were victim to this false advertisement and dubious business. The good news was Verizon corporate was decent to work with it took us multiple phone calls and two weeks to actually reverse all fees and return to our previous phone arrangement. However, my wife never got her old iPhone back after she traded it in originally. So we are still out $200. Sigh. Please do not shop here and I sincerely hope the current staff quit and find a more honest place to work. Seriously. Humanity should be better than this. This is the second, and probably last, time I have been in this store and felt a lack of customer service with Ryan. If it were different sales associates it wouldn't bother me so much to write a review, but twice with the same person I felt it necessary The first time he was very cocky. When he asked me for my password I didn't feel comfortable giving it to him. I asked if I could enter it. He said no. I walked out This time, the store was not busy. There were two customers sitting at a table and one being helped. Maybe they were together. Ryan was sitting down doing something on the computer. I walked up to him and asked if I could pay my bill. His first response was to tell me I could pay my bills on the website. It appeared to be a difficult take. I wanted to walk out like I did with him before but I decided to stay and a how he conducts himself this time. Some things don't change. It appeared to be a burden on him, but I just waited and watched his body language. Very standoffish. 10 minutes later I still do not have a text or email stating that I made a payment I usually pay my bill at the store on El Toro as I work in the shopping center. Long story short. My wife dropped her iPhone which damaged the screen. We went to Apple store in the Spectrum to get a replacement and had to be billed yesterday since it was covered under her expense account and it was the last day of the fiscal year. They not only refused (to take money we needed to spend) but were quite rude about it to the point that my wife and I walked out during the interaction. We went down to the Verizon store hoping for a resolution and from the moment we walked in it was like a breath of fresh air. Ashley was nothing short of amazing!!! Her knowledge, positive and flexible attitude and her professionalism were the perfect remedy for the poor customer service we received in the Apple store. They charge $150 to "help you upgrade" your phone. This is aside from the $30 you pay verizon. Didn't really understand why you need to pay for something that is free everywhere else. Yes, you do get "free" accessories. But you're actually paying $150 for the case, screen protector, and a wireless charger. When I realized what was going on and argued, the agent was helpful enough to peel off the screen protector that was already applied and waive the "upgrade fee". read more

Came here to get a glass screen protector for my iPhone. Joey was super awesome and helped me out after I explained that the corporate Verizon store wanted me to register my original screen protector in order to get a free replacement. A process that could take a while since they have to send you one in the mail and you have to send back the broken one too. Joey happily replaced my screen protector and since your receipt is on file - there is no need to bring in paperwork - all you need is the glass with you. They will replace for free if it cracks or bubbles. Please come see these guys if you're looking for a screen protector! Awesome and helpful staff, great location, and no need to deal with corporate rules and registering products! Store has a great location in the spectrum and I was able to get in and out within 10 minutes! Went to a different location and their employees and manager gave me a very difficult time even though they work off commission and I was trying to purchase a phone. Then when I came to this location, the girl was helpful but wrote some wrong information down so when my bill came, I was charged more than what she wrote as she wrote there was no upgrade fee and there in fact was as well as other charges. However, Alexis was able to help me out and come up with a solution that was fair. He compensated me for my time and was super patient!! ***Update 12/18/18*** District Manager did reach out and was able to get everything straightened out with credits to my account so I am happy. Don't use this store for anything unless you like being lied to and scammed. They insisted I should move my personal account to a business account. That it would be cheaper. Lies!!! They forced me to add two more lines to my account because a business account (that I didn't want mind you) had to have 5 lines. They said they were "giving" me two tablets for each of these new lines. When I pushed back saying I didn't want any more lines or tablets they said they were free and that it had to be this way but not to worry as my monthly bill would be cheaper. Lies!!!!! I got a bill the first month for $630. (Normal bill is $245). I called Verizon customer service and they agreed something wasn't right. I called the store but the jerk asst mgr insisted the transaction was correct and that the bill would eventually resolve itself ... what? He was a complete idiot. I asked for the manager to call me back and of course that never happened. It's that particular store and the scammer associates they hire. Don't shop there. Go anywhere else! read more

DO NOT EVER GO INTO THIS STORE!!!! The location is no longer a Verizon corporate location but you can not tell from the signage out front and none of the employees inside tell you. Do yourself a favor and read the other reviews before you enter the store. If I could give this store zero stars, I would. My story is almost identical to Joshua's (see below) regarding the "free" tablet. A couple months ago when we went into the store to upgrade my wife's phone. While trying to do that, the store manager (Colby) suggested that we are eligible for two "free" tablets. Ok...so I should have known better....no store gives anything away for free, surely not two tablets. I even asked if there were going to be any additional charges to the bill and was told no. As you can imagine, the tablet has proven to be anything but free. Not only are there additional charges on my bill but they have added two lines to my account that don't expire until 2019!!! After seeing these added charges on my bill, I tried to return the tablets to Colby and was told that there would be a re-stoking and termination fee....both of which in total exceeded $300+ . As all of the other reviews noted, the staff here is dishonest and misleading. And, DO NOT think that their responses/comments from customer feedback are genuine....they are not and that group is equally unhelpful. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!! read more

The employees were helpful HOWEVER they are just like or even worse than sleepy used car salesmen. They add extra services to your account (insurance plans) without telling you and they also add lots of "extras" to increase your purchase. Also they will included a in store "setup" charge that doesn't get mentioned until you have already decided to purchase. My favorite is I paid for 2 watch setups and neither was touched, a giant waste of $49.98. I asked how much the screen protector was that was being installed and I was told "it's part of your buy more promotion." I still have no idea what I was charged since no receipt was given. I was told my receipt was emailed. Best part of all this, somehow my plan ended up with an extra watch supposed to be refunded due to an error on their part. It's been over 12 hours and no receipt has arrived. AVOID this "authorized retailer" and go to a Verizon company store. I will never spend a another penny in this place. read more

This is going to be a long one, so find a comfy seat and relax. Spoiler Alert: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ENTER OR BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!!!! I use to go to this location all the time when it was a Verizon Corporate store. It was good then. At some point, it was bought out by a company called A Wireless (now Victra), and they are all horrible people who are rotten to their core. I went in to update my phone from a Samsung Note 4 to the Samsung Galaxy 8 and change my plan to an unlimited plan. The con-artist of a salesperson who was helping (lying) to me was Sean Multz. He wanted to sell me this shitty tablet called an Ellipsis 8, and after several times telling him 'no' he decided to just charge me for it and slip it in the bag. He also told me that I couldn't apply my credit for turning the phone in for money towards my bill, and my only option was to use it for in-store credit to purchase the bundle of shit (car charger, phone case, and glass screen protector) that he was also charging me for, even after I told him that I didn't want it. I had a third line on the account that I wanted to get rid of, so I asked Sean when the 2-year contract was up. He wouldn't give me a straight answer and told me that I still had time on it and that if I bought the bundle he was trying to sell me then it would reduce my bill. I asked him to explain it several times and every time it changed a little and was very vague - he was clearly lying to me and I could even see another one of his co-workers looking over at him like "I can't believe you're actually scamming this guy into doing this". He was smirking back at her like "I know, this guy is an effing idiot, I can't believe he's falling for this". I didn't like it at all and told him no, I didn't want any of it. To him, that translated to "yes, charge me for everything and just put it in the bag, I'll never notice the difference." After I left, I went home and looked at all the stuff. I was a little shocked to see the exact same stuff I didn't want, in my bag and on my receipt. I was more than upset. By the time I was able to go back to this store to return everything it had been more than the 14 days allowed to return goods that you were deceived into buying. I spoke with the General Manager Misal (I think that was his name), and his concern for the situation was about as genuine as an automated telemarketing call. He couldn't care less about what happened and it really showed how much he didn't care because there was "nothing he could do". But don't worry guys, he took down my email and was going to check on it first thing in the morning! Funny, I never heard from him again. I called Verizon corporate and they were really helpful (seriously, no sarcasm). They were able to get the District Manager of A Wireless, Kory Bennion, to reach out to me and clear everything up. He sent me a really nice email and facilitated a time for me to return the tablet and he let me know that "(he) wanted to personally reach out to you and let you know that we are going to undo all that was done in regards to that tablet line you had purchased. I am working with other team members with Verizon who are doing an excellent job at making sure all of your charges relating to this device are credited to your account." Okay, I return everything and things are seemingly good. Up until about 3 days ago when I'm contacted by Rick Stevens, a representative of Aldous & Associates informing me that A Wireless has sent me to collections for (guess what!!!) the Ellipsis tablet contact that I have apparently become delinquent on! I didn't get any notification from A Wireless, just a collections call. Fantastic guys, really, quite brilliant! This is still ongoing and I haven't been contacted by anyone at A Wireless (now Victra) about this. So, use this as a cautionary tale of never to do business with these people. They have shown to be completely unethical in their sales practice, deceitful in their customer service, unapologetic in rectifying a situation that was clearly started by their sales associate, and just bad, bad people. Note: this is not reflective of Verizon Wireless corporate. I have nothing but great things to say about Verizon Wireless corporate (except maybe for their lapse of judgment for allowing these scumbags to represent their brand). So here's a little hint, when you're at a corporate store your phone will chime with a Verizon Store check in when you're at a third party retailer (which is what these d-bags are) your phone won't. Lastly, Victra: please don't tarnish my review by replying with some bs "we are sorry to hear about your experience, please contact our customer service at some customer feedback email." That just makes it worse. I've just accepted that you're bad people. You don't care. You aren't an ethical company. Okay, that about wraps it up. read more

I lost my phone paragliding through the Andes over summer break and needed a quick replacement after returning back to the States... Neema over at this Verizon was able to take amazing care of us quickly and professionally and even showed us a a couple tricks to lower our monthly phone bill from what we're currently paying. He took care of us in a flash while I was on my lunch break and spared no effort to make sure we were completely taken care of. 5 star experience, not typical of your local cell provider. SCAM WARNING! I recently went here to upgrade my iPhone and ended up getting more than I wanted. First off, when I told them what iPhone I wanted, they said that it was out of stock, and they would call me the following week when it came in. The following week came, then the following, THEN THE FOLLOWING without hearing from them so I gave them a call. They seemed to have forgotten myself or my order existed. They expedited it and got the phone I wanted from another store. Here is where the fun begins... I went into the location to pick up my new phone, they were apologizing for taking so long on my order, that they were going to throw in a bunch of "free" accessories, including a tablet! According to them "free" means full retail price and adding stuff to your monthly plan without telling you! I somehow got charged for THREE screen protectors and a bunch of other stuff I'll never use! I ended up working with another location and Verizon corporate for DAYS to get it resolved, even then I still wasn't able to refund all the accessories... Stay far far away from this store and their lying sales staff. read more

BEWARE.... the sales tactics in this store is very questionable. We went in to purchase an IPhone 8 and trade in our IPhone 6. After letting the salesman know that we wanted to apply the trade in credit to offset the cost of the new phone he started to "give us" accessories for our new phone. We left the store with the "used car" salesman never giving us a receipt. We went home and found out online that all those accessories that we did not ask for were deducted from our trade in credit leaving us to pay full price for our new phone and us holding a bag full of unwanted accessories. This exact same thing happened to our family friend a few days earlier in the same store. This was the worst mobile phone store experience we have ever had. We went in to upgrade our 2 phones from Google pixel 2 to 3. The pixel 4 was just coming out and we didn't owe much on our current phones. The salesperson who helped/tricked us said our bill would be less due to going with pixel 3, and he was training other employees. It took multiple attempts to sign the agreements for the new phones and they were not successful at transferring the data from old to new phones so we had to spend even more time doing that at home later. Here's where the trickery comes in-we were offered a new "free" galaxy tab A that we might as well take. He said in front of our 5 year old that he could have a free tablet! There was also broken screen glass on the table where our child was waiting and trying to be patient. Totally oblivious and not parent-friendly. The salesperson took a gamble and it worked. Our "free" tablet has been costing us 15$/month for the device, and 20$/month for cellular data and a new phone number! Our bill never went down but like a lot of busy families we became distracted and didn't review the bill in detail for a few months. There is always a lag time when you change devices/plans to see what it will really be. The young adult relative we had planned to gift the tablet to ended up not needing it, so it has just been sitting around. (There was only a 14 day window for returning the device.) I definitely would never have agreed to the service or cellular data contact, so I think one of the times the mobile phone upgrade signatures didn't take, I was being tricked into signing for the tablet. At this point we were hangry and had to get home, after being in to store for over 90 minutes. Sort of felt like being at the car dealership where it is taking for ever and nothing is really happening. They wear you down, so you make errors. Now we have no options other than to pay off the tablet and end the cellular data plan that we never used. We cannot get any credit for the unused data. For all future upgrades I will just order on line and do it myself. No good can come from setting foot in a store. I had wanted to look at one of the other popular phones but it was not worth it. Went in to upgrade my phone and had a good in store experience, initially. Towards the end of the transaction the sales guy who was helping me told me they had an offer where if I just simply accept a Samsung Tab A it will lower my monthly bill some how. Sounded too good to be true for me but I thought I'm at a Verizon store at a nice mall, they wouldn't scam one of their customers out right like this, so I accepted. He went on to assure me that the tablet will not be added on to my account as another cellular device, just a regular tablet for Wifi, and will not raise my bill. This was not the case. I was planning on not even using the tablet and give it away to someone and the sales guy agreed with me that I can just do that. Fast forward to a month later I get my first bill after upgrading and see that my bill has almost doubled in price. Called into billing to see what was going on and sure enough they added the tablet to my account as a new cellular device and the phone rep who was helping couldn't make any sense of what the salesman in the store did to my account in regards to this tablet. This all resulted in the last 2 months of billing headaches and Verizon's customer service being completely baffled on what this store did to my account. Eventually We got it straightened out. You can't immediately tell that this isn't a regular Verizon store, and is in fact an authorized retailer. Read everything that these guys try to sell you on and sign (which was my mistake in not doing). They want to boost their sales numbers and jack their commissions up by pushing bogus deals that they claim are legit and will lower your monthly bill but in fact will do the opposite. Verizon's customer service confirmed with me that they have been having these types of issues with these authorized Verizon retailers too, so LOOK OUT! read more

This locations customer service is a joke beware!!! They are placing iPhone 14 Pro screen protectors on the iPhone 14 and stating that is the correct screen protector. Do not trust that the representative ASHLEY W knows what she is doing. Both her and the representative ZACH G questioned me about having either an iPhone 13 or 14 after me explaining to her that I have the iPhone 14! Clearly she nor ZACH G know their apple products! I tried to go back into the store and request a refund for a $70 screen protector that did not only fit my iPhone 14 but also split right in between my front facing camera. So sad to see this place is STILL scamming people... your measly little commissions you guys are racking up there by telling people about false promotions and free stuff is messing with people's money and time. I'm so frustrated this so still going on that I decided to finally leave a review of this fraudulent business. Anyway, it's the same deal as everyone else. They promise free stuff and credits to your bill. They never come... For us it was a free iPhone Buy one Get One. And free cases for the phone and a free tablet (that we didn't even want but we're told we had to get it because it was part of the promotion). Then our bill went up by more than $200 a month to $400 and some. At all costs AVOID this store. It's nothing but a bunch of kids trying to earn commissions on fake promotions that don't exist and it seems the manager there is training these kids to do just that... 9 months later there are still salespeople there doing this. Unreal... This place needs to be shut down and it looks like corporate might open an investigation on the store after this phone call my wife is having right now. read more

I was over at the store looking to switch from AT&T. I was not ready to make the switch but just getting pricing. After telling this to Zach, he became disrespectful and non-cooperative. Horrible customer service by Zach. Disappointed!! read more
