My cat bootsie came in with what seemed like she was exposed to a toxin. I'm glad we brought her in. It was the hardest decision ever but right by her. She had a fever of 106.4 and would have likely passed at home in pain. We opted for euthanasia due to the diagnosis and I knew it was coming. I couldn't afford treatment as it was. They didn't even charge me for the doctors exam for the $189 they only charged us for the euthanasia. Which I felt was a fair price for $199 to take the body home vs golden valley vet whom I called for a quote on the same thing and they quoted me $360!!! Not even for cremation The doctor she was very kind and explained the options and gave me reality. We made the right choice by Bootsie. The staff were great in helping me shave a patch of her fur and even got her paw prints for me and nose prints. I didn't even think they would get it since her whole mouth was covered in the activated charcoal I gave her. But I saw when I got home how many great prints they did of her paws and nose and it warmed my heart to have those. Thanks for helping her transition over the rainbow bridge

It was a very disappointing and upsetting experience during an already difficult time.

Around 8pm on march 21st my cat started having trouble breathing and she started convulsing. She wasn't breathing until my brother would shake her to start breathing again. We rushed her to this emergency clinic but she sadly passed away in my brothers arms in the car just two minutes from the clinic. The team was fantastic. One of the members there who took my cat to the back let us stay there for as long as I needed and didn't judge me for crying loudly. My mother paid $600 in total for my beloved cat to be cremated and to have a clay print of her paws which in my opinion is a great price. About a week(ish) later we got to pick up her ashes and the clay print we were promised and I believe the team went above and beyond. I received a card with the team's signatures and a certificate of cremation.

Instead of addressing the situation professionally and taking accountability for the confusion, the behavior we experienced was unacceptable. We entrusted this facility with the care of our pet and expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic to others who expect professionalism, respectful communication, and accountability from veterinary staff.

While I hope all of our fur babies will never need to come here, sometimes things happen and unexpectedly. I want to be transparent that I was at SAGE earlier in the day-- let's just say I don't like the route they wanted to go and I went to VEG few hours later. As we know, cats are masters at hiding pain and discomfort. The below review was from July 15, 9pm at night. My 5 1/2 cat Bebe's symptoms: 1. Not eating or drinking and it was 95 degrees 2. No potty at all (I have a litter robot, plus two other cats) I brought her in after 15 hours of these symptoms. A bit "quickly" but as I mentioned it was hot out and my girl LOVES food. About the vet: I called beforehand, very nice gentleman answered, didn't rush me, didn't treat me like another number in the queue. I also want to call out, no AI crap! A real human answered when I called I didn't have to select "press 7" etc. I arrived about 20 mins after the call and was greeted warmly by the front desk. Extremely clean place, coffee and tea bar, freshly baked cookies! We were promptly given a room and Dr Molly came in within 15 mins of our arrival after the nurse took vitals. Dr Molly is a pure assets to this vet. Before she started talking, she sat down on the ground to not overwhelm my cat. Her voice is very sweet, she understood my concern and gently got Bebe comfortable. Treated her like a little scared child vs just some animal with no feelings. She got to Bebe's level vs throwing her on the metal table. Dr Molly listened to every little trivial thing I said about the past 24 hours because I wanted to be transparent and she determined we should do an x ray and blood work. I was promptly given the link via phone to pay + outline of costs, clear! I did have to wait about 2 hours for results of the xray due to the hour I was there (9pm to midnight), the results were sent out for review. I received them back and they are the clearest x rays I've ever seen, better than a human hospital, seriously. They send you a live link to download them too. Diagnosis: she came back in, same calm voice vs the chaos she had in the vet (few emergencies popped up with dogs) while I was waiting. She gave Bebe fluids and anti nausea injection and an antibiotic injection. I got home 1am and she started eating! I couldn't believe it. Her red blood cells were a bit high (inflammation), thank god no blockages. What I think was wrong: we had a little stress when I got home with a big box and she ran between my legs and got stressed running into them + the door slammed same time she got freaked out running into my legs hard.

They kept my dog in an oxygen tank overnight and the next day advised us that she would not make it. I understand that vets advise humane euthanasia but they shouldn't guilt trip the patient's owners into it. Also please know how your pets act because vets and vet techs don't know them as much as you do! Our dog usually pants heavily and gets really anxious and the vets perceived it as her struggling to breathe and even kept advising us that euthanasia was the only way. We opted to bring her home and get a second opinion with her primary vet (who advised us that she was still bright and alert and needed treatment, not euthanasia!) Her primary vet also saw red flags with all the different medication she was given and obviously would cause her body to react negatively. We could have lost her that day to euthanasia but thank goodness we followed our instinct and brought her home. It's been 5 days now and she's starting to eat and drink and get her strength back. When it's time - they will let you know. Humane euthanasia is beneficial, yes. But know how your pets are and always get a second opinion if you're not sure!

We had a great experience at All Creatures Emergency Veterinary Hospital. Our dog was having severe…read morediarrhea and vomiting so we brought her in on a Sunday around 11pm When you arrive, you wait in your car and call them to let them know you're there. A staff member comes out with a form for you to fill out & then you wait in your car until they're ready to see your pet. The process was organized and it didn't take nearly as long as we expected. We were finished and heading home by around 1:30am! Our vet tech Bri & the veterinarian, Dr. Renee Case were both incredibly kind, knowledgeable & compassionate. They took great care of our dog, thoroughly explained everything and sent us home with medication to help her recover. If you ever need an emergency vet, I would definitely recommend All Creatures. They provided excellent care and we also found their pricing to be very reasonable especially for an after-hours emergency visit. I also love that they don't try to sell you on additional items as well. I did not want her in pain so I called All Creatures Emergency Vet and was told I didn't need an appointment, to just show up when I could. It was a 35 minute drive and when I arrived, the door was locked. I knocked but didn't see anyone. After a few minutes, another woman walked up and said "They do this. You gotta bang." She knocked on the door repeatedly until someone came outside. It took a few more minutes. We were put in a room immediately and proceeded to wait about an hour to be seen by the vet tech. To be fair, a dog that had been hit by car came in after we were in the room. From what we heard it was already deceased. Then, a woman brought in a her friend's dog she was supposed to be caring for and told the staff she wasn't sure if it was breathing. Based on what they said, that dog was also deceased. The vet tech was not very personable and she took our dogs temperature rectally but with zero skill and after what seemed like 5 minutes, was finally done. It was not a good experience. After we spoke to the tech, we asked for water for our dog, which was brought and waited another 15 min or so for the vet. Dr. Case took a look at our dog and I explained I was concerned about a UTI and gave her history of bladder stone removal and kidney issues. I also asked her to look at a bump on my dogs leg, since we were already there and at my dogs advanced age I am always worried about her cancer returning. The estimate for X-rays for that was well over $400 so I said I would have my regular vet do it on my next visit the following week. Without the x-rays for the bump, the estimate was $520 for the emergency exam, urinalysis, and medication if needed. We agreed and the vet tech came back in (I thought to get our dog for tests) and told us that we would need to pay up front before they would start the process. I have never experienced that before but we gave her a credit card to charge. Once she did that, she returned and took our dog back to extract urine. I went to the restroom shortly thereafter and there was a man at the desk with his dog. The same vet tech was giving him an estimate and, right in front of me said, "Don't worry, you can wait to pay until everything is done." Look, I get that this is Stockton and although I was surprised by the pay first attitude, I can't say I didn't understand. Every business has the right to decide if they want people to prepay or pay after, but to pick and chose with seemingly no reason or standard is totally unprofessional. Also, just a note, but if you read through most of the reviews, as I had time to do during my long wait, you will see that most of the 5 stars are from people whose animals were euthanized here and most of the 1 stars are from people who brought in their sick animals looking for help. Our dog was brought back promptly and we waited another hour before the vet returned. She said there was bacteria in my dogs urine and they gave us antibiotics but they did not have the correct dosage for my small dog so they gave me large pills (with no break line) and said to cut them in half myself and give them to my dog. Of course I was concerned that when I broke the pills, small pieces would scatter and she would not be getting the full dose which obviously happened. After the first few days we noticed that our dog was getting no relief from the antibiotics and scheduled the first available appointment with our regular vet. When she completed the full course, I emailed All Creatures Emergency Vet to confirm that they had found bacteria and ask if they tested to ensure they gave the correct antibiotics because it had not helped. It took them 3 days to respond. The response was that I should get a "urinalysis with culture and sensitivity sent to the laboratory...Or maybe there is no infection and she has cystitis." We saw our regular vet and she is now doing much better after weeks of being uncomfortable. Long story short: We spent 3 hours and over $500 for our dog not to feel better.

When I arrived and called from the parking lot, someone came out immediately to help. The veterinarian carefully examined the bird, patiently explained its condition, and told me the kindest thing was to let it go peacefully. Of course since it was an emergency/not planned I had to bring my 9 and 2 year old in also which I was dreading. Right away when walking in I felt immediately better. 1) Clean open space - I thought I might have to be stuck in a small space with my kids and cat but instead loved how there were vets/techs treating pets in different well-prepared areas of the room. There are rooms available if needed but thankfully my cat was able to be seen right away on a portable space. 2) Fast service - we were seen right away and even though the testing took 3+ hours (my cat's bladder was really really small and I opted to do the urinalysis even when it didn't work the first time) i appreciated how we were given a space right away 3) Staff professionalism and friendliness - all the staff seemed warm, approachable, friendly and I didn't get the feeling that anyone was trying to "upsell" me...I know going to any vet is expensive. That's just the way it is! I didn't feel pressured or guilted into making more expensive decisions though. 4) The BIGGEST reason for a 5+ star review is the waiting area/entertainment available for the kids!!! After my phone almost ran out of batteries a staff member told me there was a play area/waiting room for the kids and that saved the day!! I was able to focus on being there for my cat and my kids were hanging fun! They really thought of everything to make their patient-parents-family feel welcome. Cookies, hot water, coffee, tea was available in the waiting room along with toys! And since my phone DID completely die when my daughter tried to call me they even had a phone charger available (different chargers for different phones). And as we waited on a comfy sofa, we didn't really mind the wait. We were there for 2 hours. They did make us feel like we weren't forgotten. Several doctors came to check on us throughout our stay. They didn't have the medications needed to treat our dog, but they did handle all the symptoms til we could get our dog to our regular vet. Plus they didn't charge for our second dog because they couldn't really him. Not the cheapest spot, but what emergency vets are?

They offer snacks, drinks, as well as blankets for humans because it gets quite cold in there. Everyone there was kind and friendly. You could really tell they were dedicated to their job and providing the best experience for their patients. My princess loved being able to watch everyone walk around her and was completely content. The doctor even sat with her when we were finally seen so she wouldn't have to be moved. :) All the staff talked to her like a baby whenever they addressed her which made me happy too. Really shows they love animals. Paid about $660 to find out she didn't have a lot of poop in her, but the peace of mind was worth it. Getting to see how they take x-rays was cool too, even if my poor baby had to be manhandled hehe. The bill was much cheaper than I expected, which was nice. It was for the initial exam and the x-rays. Would highly recommend coming here for a transparent, wonderful experience!

Ruby had her first TPLO surgery in August 2025 and the second in October 2025. It was expensive but we're thrilled... we got our Ruby back! I was willing to pay the $255 emergency fee so she wouldn't suffer overnight. After all, it was just a typical ear infection and everyone knows its not a huge deal and just requires drops. When I arrived, the clinic was nearly empty. Another client who came in after me was seen first, while I was still sitting there waiting with my dog in the back. That person came and went yet I was till there. The vet eventually confirmed the ear infection and said they'd clean it and send me home with ear drops, as I figured. For some reason, I continued to wait almost another full hour with no explanation (total visit 2 hours). I was still sitting there waiting after paying the bill until I finally had to insist they return my dog to me because I had work in the morning and i wouldn't get home till 1am. The bill was absolutely outrageous for basic care, even at an emergency vet: Around $600 total..... for a simple ear infection! Breakdown: * $255 emergency visit fee for the exam (no issue here, I understand the premium for the emergency visit) However.... * $83 to irrigate the ear * $154 to look in a microscope * $100 for the ear drops. These exact same ear drops (Baytril Otic 15ml) sell for $25 on Chewy. A 400% mark up over retail??? Worse still, the overpriced drops were not the correct meds and didn't even work. A week later I had to go to my regular vet and spend even more to actually clear the infection which SAGE failed to do, though thankfully, my regular vet didn't rip me off like SAGE did. This was price gouging combined with poor service. I will never return and strongly recommend others go elsewhere for emergencies. Read the other 1-3 star reviews for similar experiences.
