I really wonder about the ratings on Yelp sometimes. When I did a search in Rancho Cucamonga for single $, highest rated, lunch restaurants, this was at the top of the list. It's a little sandwich shop in the lobby of an office building. Indoor seating was closed but they had some concrete tables out front. The owner is as nice and as helpful as can be. They basically make simple sandwiches but I opted for the teriyaki chicken plate. It was not good at all. Decent sized portion but the breast had a huge slab of fat and it was not a quality cut. The rice was a bit mushy and the sauce was nothing special. The side salad was just plain iceberg lettuce. He gave me a free bottle of water and I literally saw him run to give an order to a car in the lot so I know the man cares. But the highest rates blame on RC? Come on! 2.5 stars generously rounded up. Stick with the sandwiches. read more

Overall sandwich was great, price is extremely fair compare to most competitions. But sadly, today 6/30, would be my first and last visit to this deli shop, as of today's review, it's the their last day of operation. Meatball sandwich, portion was good, every bite has meatball and it's not overly soaked with sauce, you could still get that crunch on the outside of the bread, it was a great experience especially if you consider the price. Ham and cheese sandwich, portion was ok, tons of ham which I didn't expect, for the price, I really can't complain, for a quick lunch, it does it's job! Pastrami sandwich: I think out of the three, this one was still good but not my first option, but again portion to price ratio is top notch. I wish I visit this place earlier and share my contribution to this establishment, for the price point, I would have come back very often. Every time we're in the area, we always make a stop here for their Egg salad sandwich on Sourdough. It's a mom and pop cafe and they're always consistent with their friendly service and amazing sandwiches. I can't say this about a lot of cafes that everytime I've ordered the sandwich, the bread is perfectly toasted and crispy with fresh lettuce and egg salad that's simply egg-cell ent. Ain't saying this place bad because of the 3 star rating. I don't care about the starts it's the dank rating I give it what matters. This place is the best lunch time food if you want to keep a light and basic. Been here twice and nothing has blown me away. I appreciate the time to take to make your food even if it's just a sandwich which is why I value this place. The owners are great people and you could tell they really care about their customers. Big up those owners! However, we judge with the food here, and nothing bad or good to say about it. This is a great small cafe to get your sandwiches from. It is definitely important to support small businesses during this time so that's why I go out of my way to support businesses like Via Venetto. I got their egg salad sandwich which is one of their best seller. I really enjoyed the sandwich. You can choose the bread so I chose a sourdough bread. It pairs really well with the egg salad. The egg salad itself is very flavorful. It's also pretty tangy which I like. I also got an iced mocha. A very standard ice coffee but it did the job. This cafe is walking distance from my office, and I go here at least 1-2 times per week. It is hidden on the first floor of the Arrowhead Credit Union building. The sandwiches are basic, but delicious. My usual is the smoked turkey on squaw bread, but I have also tried the egg salad and the breakfast bagel sandwich, and they have all been satisfying and well-made. There is a Subway right across the street that is cheaper for more food, but I choose this place every time because of the service! The owner is this super sweet man who is so thoughtful and shows you the prepared sandwich before he packs it up in a little brown paper bag with a napkin. This place is a gem. My company recently relocated to an office in the same parking lot as Via Venetto Cafe. The food is delicious and appropriately priced! Their breakfast croissant is delicious, but the real star here is the egg salad sandwich. It's the most delicious I've ever had. The service is also fantastic. The man at the counter is so polite and respectful. Their customer service will leave you feeling special. This review would be 5 stars, except for the fact that their coffee is not very good. You can make slightly better coffee with your coffeemaker at home. I'm in here 1-2 times each weekday and would be in 2-3 times instead if only their coffee was better! read more

A few coworkers and I were looking for somewhere new to eat and we decided on this place - best decision ever. When we first drove up it was a bit confusing because its behind a row of office buildings, but we made it. I had an egg salad sandwich and an iced cappuccino. The coffee was freshly made, no powders or anything like that. The egg salad was perfect, not too heavy and super fresh with a lot of flavor. Also, the sourdough bread was fantastic, fresh and crunchy. I really like this place! I'm someone who LIVES for a well made sandwich, and I can be pretty particular in how it's made and who makes it. I'd say this place is the next best thing to making your own sandwich (if you make good sandwiches lol). I've been coming here for a few months now and I have to admit I wasn't a complete fan at first. Only because of the type of lettuce they used to use. Since they have now upgraded on their lettuce, it has really improved their quality of food. The place is VERY clean, the food is always fresh, and the customer service is pretty spot on! I decided to meet a friend who's owed me money for year at Arrowhead Bank to be paid. As I waited I noted a spot in the corner with a "cafe" sign. In route for coffee, imagine my surprise to see that this place sold hot sandwiches. I HAD THE BEST CHICKEN BREAST SANDWICH EVER and I dont even know how they made it that fast and moist. They have pics of every dish (I believe because of the language barrier). The sandwich was amazing. I cant say it enough. My only complaint is the sign on the door that says open to inform you that the other door is locked. Im sure dozens of people pull the "wrong" door. read more

I was surprised to find out that this restaurant has been here for many years and I've been working a block away for the last three years. But I never knew about this place. Based on the positive reviews I decided to check it out. I'm glad I did. I ordered the pastrami sandwich. I think they thought I was going to eat it to go. But when I sat down to eat my sandwich the owner came over and set down some condiments and laid out the napkins in front of me along with a glass of ice water. I'm not used to receiving this kind of service in such a small and fast food kind of setting.
