OMG. This place doesn't f*ck around when it comes to a biscuit breakfast. I am in big trouble as I just moved in within walking distance of this location! My husband and I came here on our first morning in SC right after we moved here from out of state. I ordered the "vicious benny" which was eggs benedict with ham and hollandaise sauce. Everything about my benny tasted like it was meant for Queen Elizabeth (RIP) or someone of high caliber to be eating. It was so freaking good, that it didn't seem worthy of my peasant palate! In addition to the huge, fluffy, amazing biscuit, they did not forget to make the ham & hollandaise just as fantastic; ham had lots of unexpected flavor and I wanted to drink a bucket of the hollandaise sauce as I'm 100% sure it's the BEST one I've ever had. I'm definitely coming back as soon as possible and would recommend that anyone/everyone do the same! :)

As someone who admittedly doesn't LOVE biscuits, I will say that Vicious makes some of the best I've had. I just went again recently and was quickly reminded that I need to make vicious biscuit a semi-regular thing. My two favorites are the flame thrower and the vicious, depending on how spicy I'm feeling. The bacon or potatoes are always a good side, but recently we tried the beignets and those are a new must have item. I'm always a fan of dipping things so I love trying all the different butters and jams, plus the coffees are amazing too. If you're looking for breakfast food and have a big appetite, this is the place for you.

This was my first time visiting this spot. I loved the interior of the restaurant. There was hardly a line when I arrived so that was a plus as I was leaving though, the line was out the door. You order at the front counter and take a number and food is delivered to your table. I ordered a ham, cheese, and egg biscuit. There is indoor and outdoor seating and restrooms in the back. Plenty of parking all around outside. I can't wait to visit again and try another biscuit.

The 'Mater Sandwich. Didn't like that the bacon jam was cold on it. I give this a 9 out of 10.

I had a late morning doctor's appointment and decided to find a spot for breakfast afterwards. Being gluten free, my options aren't always what I'd want. So after plugging in "gluten-free breakfast in Summerville" here on Yelp, Vicious Biscuit was one of the choices. Located in Nexton which has quickly become one of my favorite areas to find good food in Summerville. Upon entering. I was greeted and given the opportunity to glance over the menu without being rushed. I let her know of my gluten allergy and she was quick to provide me with options. They have so many gluten-free options to choose from. It was my intent to dine-in but I needed to leave. I ordered a gluten-free biscuit with sides of grits, chicken sausage and a scrambled egg to-go. I was offered a cup of water as I waited. The restaurant had several customers dining in. The seating area is very spacious and I loved all of the natural lighting coming in. There's a bar with so many types of butters, jams and etc to choose from. One of the workers came over to help me and answered all my questions. That sweet potato butter was divine!!! I needed to use the restroom before my next stop (I hate public restrooms by the way!) it was super clean. When I did have the opportunity to eat, I wished that I'd ordered more biscuits!! It was so good!!! I can't wait to go back and actually sit-in to dine!

Viscous Biscuit has hands down the BEST breakfast around -- and the fact that they're pet-friendly outside makes it even better. The ambience is exactly what you want in a breakfast spot: bright, lively, and welcoming without feeling chaotic. It has that "local favorite" energy where people are always happy to be there, and you can feel it the moment you walk up. Their fresh-squeezed orange juice is on another level; once you've had it, Tropicana doesn't stand a chance. I've tried several different items on their menu and have genuinely *never* been disappointed. Everything is consistently delicious, and the service is excellent. You order at the window, grab a seat, and your food is brought right out -- quick, friendly, and super easy. Price-wise, it's pretty reasonable if you stick to just breakfast, but it can definitely add up once you start throwing in the fresh juice, specialty coffees, or appetizers. Still totally worth it in my opinion. Highly, highly recommend this spot -- it's truly a 10/10 every single time.

I had previously had takeout, but this was my first visit to the restaurant. They have an interesting variety of biscuits and bowls. I ordered the Skully Squad Special, which had fried chicken, two eggs over breakfast potatoes, topped with white cheddar, hot honey and ranch. Overall, it was pretty tasty - I enjoyed the mix of flavors. The sauce wasn't overwhelming, when it often can be. It's a cute spot with simple decor, staff was pretty friendly. I'd go back and try some other options.

I came here to grab some breakfast with a friend. At first I was a little off put by the price cause 12-16 dollars for a biscuit sandwich seems crazy, but I ordered the Crab Benny which is essentially eggs Benedict (over easy egg with hollandaise sauce) with a crab cake and fried green tomato. For $14 dollars, I was definitely full. It was a decent size for a biscuit sandwich and each individual part of it was delicious. The fried green tomato was very flavorful and super crispy, the texture is reminiscent of a fried onion petals. Crab cake had so much flavor. The biscuit was soft and tasty bread, it wasn't very flavorful by itself but if you order just a biscuit to go alongside your breakfast bowl, they have a butter bar available as well as a bunch of different jams. Its definitely a busy location. To be fair we showed up on a Sunday morning and its in a restaurant central spot. It was nice, seats were fairly large and comfortable, and im a big guy. Staff were very nice and always checking to make sure we didn't need anything

This was my first time coming in and enjoying this great breakfast. I had the chicken and waffle meal but I got pancakes instead. The sauce for the chicken is really good the butter station was also a plus for me. I'm not a pancake person but I don't care for dry waffles either. The mimosa cranberry was good as well. The service was swift. All meals come with a cup to get water from the ice and water machine. I even got a window seat to enjoy the outside view. You should give them a try.

Vicious Biscuit stays packed, which is usually a good sign and in this case, it was. The food lives up. I had the shrimp and grits, and while the flavor was solid, I was a little surprised to only get five small-to-medium shrimp. For the price, I expected jumbo or at least a few more. Still tasty, just not quite the shrimp celebration I was hoping for. A few things to note. I didn't see any high chairs available for infants or toddlers. Luckily, our daughter is in that in-between stage and managed in a regular chair with arms, but it's something to consider if you're bringing little ones. We sat outside, and unfortunately one of the shade covers was missing, so the patio seating didn't offer much relief from the sun. The fried green tomatoes were crispy on the outside, but the tomato itself was ice cold inside. Not sure if that was intentional, but it didn't hit right. On the plus side, they do accept tap pay, which is always a win for convenience. Overall, Vicious Biscuit is worth the visit, big flavors, busy vibe, and a few quirks. Would I go back? Yeah, but I'd probably try something new off the menu next time.

We were in town visiting friends and stopped in for breakfast. We all could not decide on one so we got a bunch to share l- Mater, Fat Boy, and Crab Benny. All were their twist on southern classics, and man oh man so good. Staff were friendly and food was prepared quickly. If you are going on a weekend, be sure to go early because it does get very crowded.

I have never seen a more perfectly poached egg and was shocked to see them consistently come out of a quick casual place better than I've seen, from fine dining to diners. The serving sizes are amazing, flavors are great, food comes out HOT, the line wraps the building and still somehow doesn't have you wait longer than a typical busy day at Subway. The system works and the food is consistently some of the best I've had in a long time. This place is worth the wait, trust me. read more

Might want to have someone with a wheel barrel on standby when you're ready to leave as I don't think there is anything you can order that won't leave you overly satisfied. Go early or be prepared to wait (outside, in the heat). Once inside they have an extensive menu of specialty biscuits and fixings. Truly something for everyone. They have a jam bar for toppings, and the apple pie jam will make you wanna slap someone's mama (not mine, I like my teeth where they are haha). We've now been multiple times and have been happy with service, speed (once ordered) and food every time. read more

I am totally impressed with the menu, the delicious food, the cleanliness, the friendly staff, the quickness of getting a seat and the food. I have been here twice with my grandson and on the second visit I tried the shrimp and grits with the biscuit on the side. It was beyond delicious! It is the best shrimp and grits I have ever had and it beats out several other restaurants in the area. Spoke with the General Manager Brian to let him know how impressed I was with the restaurant. This was a great place for the first time visit. The wife tried this place before and I had to try my luck.we ordered the Mater and Old School and it did not disappoint. The old school with sausage was the real deal plate and the biscuit was outstanding. One of the great thinks I enjoyed was the jam bar, we had the maple bourbon butter and the raspberry jam and these were awesome. I often don't get excited with places like this but I'm looking forward to my next visit here. The staff was very friendly and the food was enjoyable and the amount was great portions. For first timers, like me, enter, stand in line, order and pay. You're given a number to place at your table. A little confusing so read the RESERVED sign on table. The coffee could be a bit stronger for me, but it's okay. Not crowded for a Tuesday morning. Food arrived. Should've tried the grits, the potatoes are bad and my eggs aren't hot. Whao whao the biscuits are huge!!!! Their name doesn't lie, they are deliciously vicious. My hotel was walking distance and I was starving for a great breakfast and it didn't disappoint, I couldn't even finish it. The OJ was super fresh it almost tasted like it had a hint of tangerines. Wow! It's our first time here and if we lived locally this would be our new regular spot. My Mom and Grandma and I all ordered different things and loved them! The staff was all friendly and helpful, and made great recommendations. The restaurant feels lively, while still allowing for cozy table time while nomming all of the beautiful biscuits. Silence of the hams - Ham and cheese (good quality ham and egg cooked just right), vicious Benny - their eggs Benedict's (Hollandaise sauce was freshly made and creamy), and the sea biscuit (shrimp cooked to perfection, and fun sauces and slaw made it an unusual and special treat) were consumed, and followed by an order of beignets. If you like dessert for breakfast, the beignets should be your order! They were so good and inspired us to add fun whipped cream, strawberries, and strawberry jam to more things in our life. The food is ok but the service was terrible. Not a single employee looks like they want to be there. The staff takes up space at the bar while they eat their McDonald's. One of their servers finally ordered something off of the menu, then sent it back saying it wasn't good. (I was sitting right next to her). Not a single person smiled at us or made us feel welcome. Definitely need a course on hospitality. It's a shame, especially for overpriced flour and butter. read more

This place is a must for breakfast! The portions are huge and the food is delicious. I got The Fat Boy. It's a big ole biscuit with pimento cheese, mouthwatering chicken and jam. The sweet puppies is a good sweet treat also. They also have a good selection of jams you can get on the side. My sister got the biscuits and gravy and it was to much for her to finish. We got there 10-15 minutes after they opened and there was a line out the door. It's well worth the wait. Go hungry and leave happy! read more

Holy Biscuit!!! I don't know why I've never been here. I pass by this joint in the regular. But today was the day and I was NOT disappointed. The drinks were nicely made. Not enough to make you drunk but enough to let you know there's something in the glass and it's not water. The buttermilk biscuits are moist and very large. Please expand! Vicious biscuit is any southerners dream. I am so heartbroken this is like four hours from where I live because if I had the money I would 100% franchise this restaurant. The set up is really well planned out. You walk in order, pay, grab a seat and they bring it out to you. No having to deal with waiting around to order or ask for the check. To eat I had the vicious, a Cheddar & jalapeño biscuit, crispy fried chicken breast, signature maple sausage gravy, house cowboy candy, and a maple syrup drizzle. 10/10 loved it but it was a heart attack waiting to happen. I swear I could feel my arteries clogging up! Definitely could have split on with my boyfriend. Also tried their potatoes and a pitcher of mimosas. Fresh orange juice total win! And the potatoes were soft inside crisp, outside. Heaven. I also have to mention they have a jam bar. I tried every flavor and they all were really really good. The jam bar also included flavored butters. Only downside to our experience was that for two people breakfast was about 50 bucks. ... too bad it was worth it... When I say you must try this place. I really mean you must try this place. If you don't give it a 10 out of 10 I'm buyin. Lol. But for real the biscuits are amazing. Light and fluffy and the butter bar!! Tell me to stop. Lol. Went 2 times during my visit to SC and I tried the vicious biscuit one time and the second time I got the surf and turf and the flame thrower. Finished both of them. So we went to Charleston for vacation while also looking in Summerville for a possible new home and our realtor recommended Vicious Biscuit. WOW, I might move here just to be close to this place. Great staff, clean place and there was a line but it moved fast. I got "The Babe" and it was heaven on a biscuit. Oh crap, I forgot to mention the butter and jam bar, thats right man, you heard me, buttet and frikkin jam bar. The biscuits were huge the sandwich was huge, I AM NOW HUGE. It was tasty but when I love waffles and have refrained for literal years I had my hopes set way to high. Anyways it was an average experience with only one syrup option! Oh I apologize for the pic, I was hungry and forgot to snap one before I destroyed it with my pitchfork. Overall, I don't want to nitpick too much but give constructive advice. So, the great -bacon, eggs, coffee, customer service, noise level and comfort. The average or slightly below average - the waffle (mislabeled) and ambiance via drab decor. If I were to come back, which isn't a reflection on the restaurant but my eating habits, I would opt for the eggs benedict as I make them all the time at home since homemade hollandaise sauce is easy and elevates any dish.

However, I feel like we've had better barbecue up north than we did here... We ordered a brisket plate + a pork belly plate to share with mac & cheese, grits and corn pudding. The brisket was dry and flavorless. The pork belly was more fat than meat. Thank goodness for the variety of delicious sauces they provided with our meals! I'm giving two stars for the sides & sauces being pretty good but that's about it. I don't know the area but I'm sure you can find better meats elsewhere :(

We stumbled upon this restaurant by pure coincidence while stopping at a nearby shopping area because we were hungry--and what a find! The moment we saw the huge line outside at 10 AM, we knew it had to be amazing. Despite the wait, I promise you, it's completely worth it. Here's how it works: you order at the counter first, then grab a table. A server will bring your food and drinks right to you, and the service is simply incredible--friendly, attentive, and efficient. Now, let's talk about the food. WOW. Everything was absolutely amazing. The chicken? Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions? Generous enough to satisfy even the hungriest appetite. And the biscuits? Soft, buttery, and just perfect. Our favorite dish was definitely the Hot Nashville--it's a must-try! The restaurant itself is big and spacious, which made it super convenient for us since we had a stroller, and there was plenty of room to navigate comfortably. Their food has never disappointed me. I've eaten in, I've gotten take out, always fresh, flavorful and delicious. They are quite pricey for being mostly self serve. You walk in, order, and take a seat, get your silverware, waters, etc. Over the last several months I have ordered the shrimp and grits, Nashville hot chicken sandwich?, eggs Benedict, and beignets, every single one of those have been insanely delicious every time. Also coffee is super. No complaints except price really. The dining room is a little echoey. The most recent trip my dad and I had coffee and each ordered a single breakfast which was about 50$. read more
