We have gone here many times in the past but had the worst experience last night. We had been waiting for a table for over a half hour. When finally called to our table we tried to ask the manager (owner?) a question. Before we said a word he snapped back saying "I don't have time for you" before we even said a word. We asked the hostesses if he's always like that. They said the staff is afraid of him. I then asked him if this is how he talks to all his customers and he said "If you don't like it get out". We were shocked. I then asked what is the problem and he said "I don't have time for you. Leave!". We were polite the entire time until he became abusive. We are not the only people who experienced this. Needless to say we will never eat here again. Any place where the manager is nasty to customers and his staff is off my list. Beware. read more

We have had dinner here twice. Last night I had the lasagna and Ashley had the fiocchi. Both pasta's were very fresh and the flavor was excellent. We also had a cannolli, that neither of us was a big fan of, but we will try something else for desert next time and report back. The prices are resonable, the food very good and the staff is friendly. It's not a very romantic setting, but it's comfortable enough for us. We have been looking for the Italian place to call our local favorite and think we have found it. read more

It's family style - so come hungry and bring the whole family. The waiters don't necessarily tell you that and when the dish arrives four people can eat off of it. We over ordered on the eggplant parm and had enough for two days. The prices are reasonable and the quality is very good. Wish I could give this DUMP no stars at all. Wife and I went here and she ordered Penne ala Vodka, I ordered Veal Picatta. Our orders can out my wife's Penne looked promising however my meal came out as Chicken Picatta. Waitress didn't even realize it was the wrong order. After she returned to the table to ask how everything was did she finally notice I had been served the wrong meal. She took it back and said the Veal Picatta would be coming out. Ten minutes latter the Veal Picatta came out after my wife had finished half her meal and the Veal was horrible. Worst Veal Picatta I had ever had. Very old style Italian restaurant with great service and top notch food. If you're in the mood for a good meal with attentive service you're in for a treat. Every standard and special order dish is top drawer and fills the plate. Try veal, shrimp, fish, chicken or any pasta you can imagine, and you'll go out full and contented. Just be sure to get there early or be prepared to wait. Reservations are a suggestion and aren't honored. But it's worth the wait. Be prepared for a take home bag. read more

We have been to this restaurant numerous times. The food is good, not great. Last time we waited an hour and half. The hostess told us since we called ahead it would be approximately about a half hour wait. No big deal, sat at the bar and ordered drinks. This was 6:45, got my bar bill at 7:15. At 8:20 asked owner what was going on. He started to raise his voice and told us we couldn't have been waiting so long. Came outside to yell again. There is many restaurants in south Florida. My parents love coming here and I've always heard them rave about it so I couldn't wait to try it myself. It was packed when we arrived! My husband and I shared the special appetizer of the day, which was great. The portions are good and you can taste the quality. The servers are like going back in time, where they greet you and mean it. They ask you questions and genuinely seem interested in you. It's a special place! We will definitely be back! read more

I am a frequent diner. The food is always excellent and the service is hit or miss. If you can, ask for Brian. He was the best server we have had. Portions are large, so plan to share. They have the most amazing pear and gorgonzola filled pasta. Positively sinful and worth every calorie. read more

My wife and I have eaten here numerous times since it opened. It is honest to goodness great basic Italian food. As good as anything I have had in the North End of Boston or New York city. The service has always been friendly, informative and caring, If you have a group that wants to celebrate an event with great food, good prices and an attentive staff then this is the place. We just came back and were very disappointed. My kids didn't want to eat the Pizza the prices very expansive for Pizza and you wait so long.. You can find good Pizza places around the block. They charged really extra fee for changing from tomato sauce to Alfredo sauce and ravioli felt like came from freezer. You pay for the place not for the food! read more

Recently we had the misfortune of dining at Villa Rosano. Although we found the service to be adequate our meal was terrible. The veal parmigiana was evidently pre-prepared with it being heated in a microwave. The pasta was soggy and the sauce tasting as if it were several days old. When these complaints were voiced to the manager his response showed little concern. I would strongly suggest that you think twice before eating at Villa Rosana. BLEH! Paul D. read more

Have been to Villa Rosano a few times since moving to Delray Beach. Tried their Pecan Crusted chicken salad on a couple of occasions. First time it was fine, 2nd time a little worse. Today I took out-or-town guests for lunch and had a very disappointing Eggplant Parmigiana with spaghetti. Felt I was eating food that was prepared yesterday (at best). Spaghetti tasted like cardboard and eggplant was mediocre to poor. After today, I will not go back. Service was nice, but would not recommend their "Italian" food. I realize most Italian restaurants don't make homemade pastas, but this wasn't even on par with what comes out of the box. read more

I wish I could rate this place with no stars, I will start by saying I don't care if you have been in your buisness Frank Rosano for 21 years and have a 2hr wait lined up outside your door, as you talk down to our family stating that! The way you treated me and my family tonight was nothing less than disgraceful and unprofessional. We had a 6pm reservation, ordered by 6:15pm but were missing 1 person in our party but we ordered for that missing person. Frank rudly walked over to ask if everyone was there and decided to say we don't sit people who do not have full parties and how we've been sitting there for 30 mins wasting a table, NOT once did he care that we had ordered already nor did he know that. He walked back over and we mentioned to him that we had ordered and felt he was truly unprofessional as the owner to speak the way he spoke to us. What he did next was absolutely horrible to say the least, he began to argue with 3 out of our 6 family members making it very known he could care less about if we were there or not. I will let you know this is a place we have had several celebrations here and brought our 90 year old grandmother to enjoy a special night with our family. Never again!!!! We used to come here years ago. The food was decent and the atmosphere dark and cozy. We loved to sit up at the bar and have a glass of wine and some appetizers. But then one day we wanted to order a pizza to share and they wanted to charge us a sharing charge! To share a pizza?! Really? Anyway, we stopped coming here, but last night my son wanted some takeout pasta that was close to home, so I decided to order takeout. We arrived around 6:45pm and it wasn't overly busy. This place CAN get a pretty long wait, but we were able to go right up to the bar/takeout area. The nice young man who took our order was very sweet and helpful. We ordered porcini mushroom risotto, chicken parmesan, and baked penne with butter and mozzarella on top. Oh plus a slice of red velvet cake. So we ate this at home. To be honest, nothing about any of the food was spectacular. It was all just very mediocre, especially given the expensive prices!! We tried the lasagne, which was highly recommended to us. Disappointed because it was so ordinary, and mostly the pasta noodles and the heavy cheese on top and ricotta inside, with very little meat in the meat sauce inside the layers. It was a very large serving though, so that might satisfy many who come here, and people who like cheesy lasagne will like this a lot. Overall, we were not impressed with this place. Nice decorative touches though to make it look unique and a little Italian in this strip mall. One at our table had the snapper dish and liked it a lot. Nice salads first. I used to really love this place but the service has gone down hill. Not only that. A Roach was found cooked in my friend's dinner while dining the other night. They made her pay for the meal and only offered for a new dish. After that who could eat there. I haven't been back to this restaurant in a long while, but since I was in the neighborhood I decided to drop in for lunch. My favorite dish is there sole in lemon sauce with a side of veggies. I don't eat pastas anymore, but when I did the linguini with white clams is delicious or their wide noodles with veggies is also a hit. The staff is professional and informative. On the whole, its an nice neighborhood Italian restaurant. read more

Last night, on Christmas Eve, we tried to eat at Villa Rosano. Although they do not take reservations, they do have a 30 minute call ahead policy. We called at 6pm to hopefully be seated between 630-7. We were a party if 6. Understandably so, it was very crowded. We knew we'd have to wait and were fine with that. At one point we were told we were the next party of 6 to sit down. When a large table opened up, another group of 6 were seated at what should have been our table. It was almost 7pm at this point. We witnessed some of the people that were seated at what should have been our table greeting the hostess/owner with hugs and kisses when they first came in. They then went to wait outside. When they're name was called and we asked why did they get the table, we were told, "they'd been outside." We were there long before them!! We then left and had a delicious meal at It's All Greek nearby. Shame on Villa Rosano! read more

Once again, arcane policies an issue. I stopped in yesterday before the dinner rush and ask to be seated. Won't be seated because my wife is still en-route and they absolutely will not seat incomplete parties. Yet, I explain I will order drinks and appetizers immediately - because we're in a rush. I walk to the restroom and pass seven to eight servers and busboys in white shirts standing and doing absolutely nothing. I see more than half the restaurant empty and the back room has zero people. So, I stop back to reception and ask for a table for one. Again - they will not seat me. I stepped out to call my wife and I did catch her at the last light she needs to get through and tell her to take a right at the light because we are going elsewhere. I did stop in and rather rudely tell the nice young ladies at the front that their boss has to be dumbest business person around! My wife and I agreed we should never return to this restaurant! read more

The owners are extremely rude. The wife who works as a hostess actually yelled at our party for asking for one more seat so another person could join us a little later. She said that was against restaurant policy. Called the next day to tell her how upset this made me and then the husband got on the phone and cursed me out.
