However, when you add toppings to the pizza, for some reason that authentic taste starts to go away. I would highly recommend the cheese pizza here because it's as authentic as it gets when it comes to New York pizza. When people from New York crave pizza, I take them here and they enjoy it. They have other good things on the menu as well, like their garlic rolls and whatnot, but I feel the best thing you can get here is the cheese pizza. The service is typically good. Lunched here on Saturday early afternoon... Erika and I both had individual pizzas with glasses of generous-portions of delicious lemonades! The waitstaff was incredibly helpful, and he wore the biggest smile and was solicitous! What a lovely experience eating our favorite repasts! I always believe that pizza is a perfect meal!!! I'd highly recommend the clam and garlic pizza it might sound like a weird combination but trust me you will be pleasantly surprised. Old school NY pizza shop vibes, tons of memorabilia on the walls, the fresh pizza smells wafting out the door are mouth watering. We were greeted by the owner ( I assumed he was an owner since his photo was on the walls), seated at a small round table at the window, and were provided menus. I hadn't expected to be seated and a full menu provided. I thought we'd just walk up to an order window and wait around. Tons of food options aside from pizza. Definitely coming out for some garlic bread and pasta. All the options sound terrific but we were looking for something simple and fast. Luckily they serve pizza by the slice so we ordered a couple slices of pepperoni. They say you can never go wrong with pizza. I disagree though. I love pizza but am a bit picky. I'm not a fan of thick slices where it's all bread and sauce with no flavor. I'm looking for fresh toppings (like real cheese), flavorful but conservative amount of sauce, and the crust HAS to be crunchy. Slices out: Hittin all the marks. Exceeded my expectations actually! Might have done a little happy wiggle in my seat after the first bite. Thin, fresh, crunchy crust. Real cheese.. cheese pull test approved. AND they have real shaved mozzarella on the tables. We absolutely adore this spot - probably our top date night in the area because they have outdoor patio seating, heaters, and good food/portions, and the wait is never terrible during the week. I love their sangria, but we usually just split a bottle of wine! Their Caesar salad is great and very shareable, a small is perfect for 2 and large for 4. An 18" NY style za with 2 toppings is our go-to, and if you're an artichoke lover definitely choose artichoke as one of them! I've come here many times, even recommended this spot. This last time has officially turned me off of this spot and it's quite literally due to a lack of common sense. Simple order. Large pepperoni. Square cut. Well done. Not only was the wait 45 minutes, but the order itself (upon receipt) was incorrect. Pepperoni was missing. Instead of firing up a new pie so that the pizza and pepperoni are well done, they threw it in the oven for 5 minutes and called it a day. It's kinda common sense that well done implies the entire pizza and for $41 I would expect simple adherence to the order placed. Bad customer service aside, the product has become mediocre. I'd be forgiving if they were slammed and also apologized, but the employee said "oops" and give me a couple minutes. That's it. Overpaying for bad service and poor attention to detail with a simple pepperoni pizza is unreal when there's countless places to choose from. I will not be back. Period. Please save your money. I came in here for a slice of pizza for a late night snack! I'm a fan of all things pizza! I've passed by this place all the time and finally got to try it out! I got a slice of cheese and shared a slice of pepperoni with a friend. Both were big slices and hit the spot. :) a little pricey as both together was about $15. The deep dish pepperoni was equally bad, with the hardest, driest crust I've ever had in my life. It wasn't even a corner piece. Honestly, individual frozen pizzas from Costco would've tasted better. When my boyfriend and I get our pizza and burnt chicken parm hero TWENTY minutes prior to the 3 kids we are with getting their food - you're gonna hear from me. After ten minutes of us eating and their 2 pastas and SALAD were still missing, I asked what was up. I was met with a shrug and a "2 more minutes?" At twenty I went inside. Ms. Blondie was super sweet in letting me know: "it's a rush. We are busy." See... no. Your entire inside is empty. There are only 3 other tables outside other than ours. If you're heavy with phone orders, not really my problem. The proper response would've been an apology and not constantly hiding in the back with our waiter. Then on top of that, even though we told our mute/mumbling waiter 19x that 13 year old cannot have mushrooms in his pasta, it came out with mushrooms. Communicate. It's not hard. In fact, you probably wouldn't have gotten this review had you been on point with communicating and checking on us. I will not be returning and it's a shame because I have been coming here religiously since 2017. I've never been met with an attitude and it's ridiculous. Came here for lunch with my boyfriend and it was pretty good! He got a few slices of pizza by the slice and I decided to grab a plate of the penna allá vodka. We sat on the outside patio. the service wasn't the best, but wasn't horrible. The pasta also wasn't the best. One of their toilets was also out of order. I probably should have ordered pizza from a pizzeria but I was craving some pasta. My boyfriend's pesto drizzle pizza was amazing!!!! Lesson learned! I definitely give the pizza 5 stars but everything else knocked it down a star. Our check was about $50 for 3 slices of pizza and a pasta dish, which we both ended up finishing for dinner. Decided to take a little trip to Larchmont to have some lunch and walk around on Saturday. This place had good reviews so my family and I decided to try it. The place is very small and there are 3 tables inside and a few outside. We got lucky and sat at the biggest table they had inside. The decor is so cute and looks like what a pizzeria should look like, it was mostly New York themed. We were helped and sat immediately, the waitress took our order. Unfortunately they were out of a few things that day. I wanted the garlic knots but they didn't have them, we got the loaf instead. I'm so glad that we did because that bread was the most amazing thing about that meal. When I took my first bite the steam came out of it. The bread was so warm, tasty, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. We all ordered single slices, and their slices are huge. We ordered the house salad. The only thing that was not good out of the whole meal was the Italian dressing that came with the salad, it had absolutely no taste to it whatsoever. It was pretty much oil. This used to be a favorite pizza spot. Now, there are two reasons for the low review. They drastically changed the pizza from what it used to be. The sauce had an odd flavor to it that I couldn't quite put my finger on at first. Then I realized it was raw garlic. The sauce is infused with a pretty strong garlic flavor that is just unusual for a plain pie. The sauce is usually just tomato. The pizza itself was also a little too thick. This was not like the thin crust pies I used to get here. And secondly, the service is very awkward. The past couple of times I went, I literally could not get my bill. I just waited endlessly for someone to come out. The place just has an odd vibe. My advice... please stop using whatever garlic marinara you're using on the pizza. And be a little friendlier and attentive to customers. It is not a lot and would make a substantial difference. read more

The atmosphere of the store is very classic, with many neon signs feeling stylish. You also get a direct 90 degree view of the iconic Hollywood sign from Larchmont st. It was extremely busy when I walked in and ordered a few slices but the Manager is running VP like a swiss watch. I had my scrumptious slices and donuts from Holey donuts in my hands and sauntered over to Starbucks to enjoy my caffeine shots with my pizza and donut dessert. Larchmont is one of the coolest shopping streets in LA and VP is one of the coolest pizza places on the planet, not to mention the pizza is great as well as the value... low prices for huge slices. I've had Sicilian pizza at Prince Street on Sunset, by far the best in L.A. and I gave this location a chance thinking it would compare, but it didn't.
