We had been looking forward to going here for a long time as we've always read great reviews. Finally went this last Saturday night for our anniversary. All I can say is I hope we just picked a bad night because the dinner was awful. I ordered the gnocchi with cream sauce and chicken. It came out in a baked dish with three pieces of bread that probably were supposed to be for dipping in the cream sauce. The dish was so over cooked that I had to break through the crust on top to eat the dish. No cream left. Chicken dry and stringy. Gnocchi flavor was good but cooked way too long. My husband ordered pork schnitzel. Looked nice and crispy. When he cut a piece off to share with me, the dried out piece of pork inside just fell out of the breading. He said every piece was that way. Basically he ate dried pork pieces and then the crunchy outer by itself. The brussel sprouts were delicious and the waitress/hostess was great. Beautiful little restaurant. At the time our food was delivered we were the only two in the restaurant so they were not too busy to get it right. I did hear the waitress tell two women who came in later that the chef was in Austin at a food competition so I'm guessing we had a backup cook. So so disappointing. If you go, call ahead and make sure the head chef will be there. I hear he's great but unfortunately we did not get him. read more

Had dinner with my friends and we were seated outside. The smell from the dumpster was beyond disgusting! Our food tasted like it had been reheated not fresh and nothing special that a "chef" would had made. I am disappointed that a place with such good reviews serves such mediocre entrees and abidance. The ladies loved the stuffed clams, actually raved about them. A modest but quite acceptable Pinot accompanied our food. Expect to pay about $100 with tax and tip. Oh & after we called to make the reservation we immediately received a text with the current menu :) We decided to start off with the bread service along with the Dolmathes, which were made with quinoa instead of rice, hands down the best we've ever had ! We both ended up ordering the Beef Wellington.. now don't be discouraged, they let you know it will take 40 min to roast and we are so glad that didn't deter us !!! Honestly we are huge Hell's Kitchen fans of their Welly .....but... this Chef blew Gordon out of the water !! OMG ! Absolutely amazing !! & a huge portion ! This spot has great outdoor ambience and has a lot of potential. The salad I ordered was okay tasting and the size of a small dinner salad for $13. I ordered the meatballs $11 or $13? I requested parmesan, but they only use provolone. The meatballs were average size had an underlying taste that indicated poor quality ingredients. I ordered the house white wine recommended by the server. The wine pour size was fine, but wine was awful. I guess that's my fault for not liking it. I really wanted to like this place from the moment I walked in. Ambience 5 stars Food 1 star small portions and taste Wine selection 2 stars I understand Covid is challenging given the challenges for restaurateurs. It is also challenging for the customers who want to treat themselves to a meal out and enjoy it and are disappointed. read more

Went here with high expectations after hearing all the wonderful things about it. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. To start, their cocktails are not cocktails. They are some sort of wine liquor that tasted bad. So bad, we sent our drinks back and stuck with water and soda. Also, we had pre-gamed it at home so we weren't being incredibly picky. It tasted like chemicals. Onto the food, the fried deviled eggs and bacon bites were delicious. The pork cutlet was dry and had no flavor. The potato salad was like bad store bought. It was sweet and only tasted like sugar. The pork belly was tough and the fat not rendered. Unfortunately, it was late and we were hungry and not many options were left at that point. So, we did what any reasonable people would do after that, went home and ordered Mountain Mike's. Should have saved the money and gone there first. read more

Recently visited this restaurant for a second time. Certainly was not good as the first time. We already knew about the limited menu. That was not the issue. I'll start off by saying the wait staff were wonderful and welcoming. The shepherds pie tasted weird - perhaps a different spice or spices were used. Charcuterie plate $29 for two items. Wine was extremely expensive. And forget "dessert". Two pre-made brownie/lava cake mix. Left it in the microwave way too long. Extremely hot - inside of the brownie was hardened and burnt. They would not take that off the bill. So suggest come here on Fridays for their stuffed lobster at $159! Won't be back. read more
