I invited a group of colleagues here after work for happy hour following a stressful day. We sat in the lounge and had to specifically ask for the lounge menu with tapas portions and discounted wines, which is a pet peeve. I shouldn't have to be "in the know" to get your menu, either offer it or don't. The service was lackluster throughout but the food quality was good enough that I'm planning a group visit here with some wine-loving friends. Lounge menu is limited but has a good variety, and we tried most of it. As for wines, I had a decent merlot and a great African red, which paired well with my meal. The mushroom bruschetta was so good that we shared two orders. Other standouts include the grilled octopus and the porchetta, though the latter wasn't quite what we were expecting. The crab cakes, margherita flatbread, and sausage skewers were just okay. Their meat, cheese, and wines seem to be what is most popular here. Our server wasn't around much and when he was, affected an overly friendly touchy-feely persona that was off putting. After having to hunt down the lounge menu, we were brought one copy for a table of four. My boss was billed for the wrong wine, to the tune of double the price, and the resolution was poorly handled and implied she was at fault. Needless to say, no one I invited wants to go back, which reflects poorly on me and now requires me to recruit an entirely different friend group to revisit despite genuinely wanting to try more of their menu. read more

We have been to VG on numerous occasions and I find myself down the same rabbit hole over and over again as the dish I order (lamb bolognese) is one of the best dishes in Las Vegas. Our waiter was exceptional from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and always around when needed. The biggest issue is that there seemed to be nobody in the back of house checking the quality of what was being served. The three of us started our meal with three cocktails, all of which were watered down and seemed to be made incorrectly (see picture of the old fashioned). My wife received the beet and goat cheese appetizer with one piece of goat cheese. We notified our waiter and we quickly received the cheese that was missing. My wife ordered the bouillabaisse for an entree but it was served with four mussels all of which were closed and dead. We notified our waiter and he removed the dish from the bill. My wife ordered the cheese platter for dessert of which one of the three cheeses were over ripe (dead on arrival). We did not notify anyone as it's just dessert and they got two out of three right :) Overall, my wife still had a semi-enjoyable meal and we love supporting local dining establishments but I wish my wife could have enjoyed her meal as much as I enjoyed mine. read more

Went for an anniversary dinner with friends. The beet salad was wonderful (especially since I don't normally like beets). Entree was a braised lamb shank with a reduction that fall off the bone tender and delicious! The old fashioned made with bullet rye was a bit "grassy" at first but settled in as I drank it. My family and relatives always eat at this place, but after our last experience we will never go back to these place. This is not a high end restaurant but the prices almost doubled the price. It is like a jungle in there. Too noisy and loud, waiters running around, and we were seated close to the kitchen. Our waiter was always in a hurry and never asked us if we need anything. He was even teaching the new waiter which I think it was a bad idea. My aunt paid the bill and gave it to the waiter. My husband saw the waiter showing the bill to his fellow waiters and pointing at our table. My husband then realized that maybe my aunt didn't give enough tip that is why the waiter was upset and showing the receipt to his fellow waiters after my aunt signed the bill. My husband then confronted the waiter and told him that what he did was uncalled for. Their tip is what they deserve. We know the waiter has been working there for years and probably expecting a big tip from his customers. My husband gave him extra tip and the waiter apologized. I hate these kind of restaurants where prices are too high but you get a mediocre food, not great of a service, and I couldn't even relax while eating because of the noise. I came here for a birthday and the atmosphere was pretty nice. So first, reservations are highly recommended. When you make a reservation you can indicate if you want to sit down at the bar, a table, or have outdoor seating. Moment my husband and I got in, we received a mask and was seated promptly. Our waiter was with us immediately and asked if water was fine. We then placed our order with him. Our appetizers came first pretty quickly. We got the Caesar salad and they divided it into two so both of us could share. We got the cheese board which was recommended by the waiter. The cheeses are from Italy and they are slightly pungent that what I'm usually used to but none the less it was good. Our entree was the sea bass and the crab ravioli and both were highly recommended. Bass was flaky on the outside but soft in the inside. Ravioli was the size of my hand and we received four. One slightly irritating factor was we indicated it was a birthday and no one really mentioned it... I mean I wasn't expecting anything free but from other reviews, the restaurant usually puts it on the plate "happy birthday" and it just felt like a regular dinner than celebrating a birthday to me. The spot is absolutely amazing. Their food is incredible and they have a grilled octopus that is the second best in Las Vegas :-) the environment is really classy, there's something about the environment that makes me feel like I'm an old Hollywood. They have a projector that projects black-and-white movies on the wall like Alfred Hitchcock's north by northwest etc. but with no sound gives the atmosphere a very unique quality. Their bar I have to hand it to them is one of the best in Vegas so far. They have some great signature cocktails and their mixers are always unique. As far as the wait staff and service the most professional I've had in a long time. I also enjoy their robust menu that changes with the seasons. Celebrating a birthday and this is always a perfect choice. Today we tried a cheese selection as an extra appetizer in addition to our normal crab cakes. Our fabulous server Stacey made an excellent suggestion for a single trial version. For our main entree we chose the lamb bolognese and New York strip. Oh I almost forgot, the bread tray. Heaven in a basket with at least 6 different gourmet breads. Getting ready to stuff ourselves even more deciding on dessert, our server brought us a complimentary tiramisu as a thank you for coming. We came during the Coronavirus craze. We have no issues going out and supporting our local business. We still ordered 2 more desserts so we could indulge at home. I recently dined at Vintner Grill to celebrate a special milestone Birthday of a close friend. The 2 greeting hostesses were beyond friendly, outgoing, and accommodating, seating us at what felt like the nicest table in the house! From there, our main server, Michael (Hardy), pulled out all the stops. His service was the epitome of excellence. We also saw a staff person behave rudely to some other people, I think they were patrons but the guy had attitude unbecoming of Vintner Grill. Current condition is unacceptable. Raw sewage smell permeates through the restaurant from the service kitchen area on the side of the bar. Seems to have been going on for awhile according to recent reviews I just scrolled. Certainly explains why all the doors are wide open in 36 degree weather and the place also has a very noticeable bleach smell when we arrived. Food was a bit off too. Sea bass was not a filet and more like a dry trout style piece of fish. In fact, everything was a bit disappointing food wise. Beef barley soup, so salty we sent it back. Calamari was chewy when it's always been good on prior visits. Service was just ok. Salads came out at the wrong time. Maybe the head Chef has time off for the holidays but I can't recommend this place right now which has, in prior years, been one of our very favorites. I have been here 3 times in 1 year. The 1st two times were for my bday In November last year. The ribeye was amazing!! The last time I went was this past October. I bragged to my friends about how good the ribeye steak was (comparable to my husband's delicious steaks but in a different a way) but to my utter disappointment, the ribeye was nothing to brag about. I was so embarrassed. It seemed like the quality of the ribeye was not the same as it was the year before. However, the Chelian sea bass was off the hook! Not sure if it has changed ownership, but we've been going to Vintners for years and it's been fabulous. But last Saturday was, by far, the worst experience. Friends ordered the T-Bone which had so much gristle it was not edible. When we brought it to the servers attention, they just offered to take the plates away. NO ONE offered to get these two something different to eat. By the time a manager came by to inspect the meat in order to determine whether or not she would remove the charge from our bill, still no offer to order something different. Nor was any accommodation made for the entire inconvenience. Additionally, my medium sirloin came out more like beef jerky and they upped their corkage fees from $28 to $40 per bottle (2 bottle limit). Even without the T-Bone charges and no dinners for two guests, our bill was still over $500. Very disappointing - Will not be returning. read more

Appreciate that they served the cocktail sauce on the side cause I'm a purist. - Rib eye: decent bone in steak and loved the smashed crispy potatoes. 4 stars - Octopus: well cooked plump pieces to achieve the right texture. 4 stars - Chocolate lava cake: standard. 3.5 stars - Outdoor area: super cute with colored lanterns in trees. Smaller than I thought but tiered levels of tables. My favorite was the cute circus like open tents over a few of the larger tables. Lowlights: - Calamari: nothing special and breading wasn't so crispy and limply off. 3 stars - First time we made a reservation for outdoors, it got canceled due to high winds so that's something to consider if you're looking to dine outside. After coming to Vintner Grill more times than I can actually count ( I am certain I have been coming here for longer than I have been a Yelper...maybe longer than Yelp?!?). I think of all restaurants in Vegas for a cumulative lifetime count, I have come here the most hands down by far. Come to find out just now as I work off my laptop at the bar at 3PM on a random Tuesday enjoying my beloved "stirred" Grey Goose martini up, Vintner Grill has actually been around for 13 years. So this establishment has countless reviews (755 as of today I see) and oodles of pictures (1,182 as of today as well, to be exact), but have you heard about Jose, the bartender. This is where the 3PM time slot becomes key. With time and age, I appreciate the "not be seen and seen," the "non-busy moments of the whose who," and the "quiet unexpected customer service moments" that occur at the 3pm hour on a random Tuesday. Cue Jose the bartender to my story. Congenial, welcoming, modest, professional, engaging when warranted, not to mention the maker of an excellent martini. Jose is an excellent customer service entity to the Vintner Grill experience. Be it in gym clothes with my laptop or simply tuning out listening to music reading the WSJ, he casts no judgement in the silent small numbered crowd that is around at 3PM on any given day. I would add the bubbly professional sparkle that Jeffrey the waiter can add to any given moment I have while eating in the dining space over many years of eating there, but the quiet moments of the bar are what I prefer. I have a soft spot for Jose and the 3PM time slot. Both are consistent, welcoming, non pretentious and right on the mark. Don't let the word out so it gets busy at 3PM and you disrupt me while working in "my second office," but drop in some time. Poor service and awful food preparation caused my dear friends 60th wedding anniversary to be ruined by the waiter and manager arrogant attitude. Twice the same item ordered well done came undercooked and the celebratory gentleman ended up not having dinner. They tried substituting the fish order and changing them with a substantially more expensive steak adding insult to injury stating that they could have charged for the returned never touched or eaten items. Absolutely amazing! Took my parents to dinner for Dad's 81st birthday. They gave us a beautiful table by the window which was easy for my parents to get seated. I requested a more quiet table because Dad's hearing isn't what it used to be, and they were so accommodating. It was perfect! Our meals were all on point and delicious. The service is top notch. We are frequent visitors at this restaurant since we're local. We were disappointed on our recent visit due to mediocre service and poor food quality. We ordered appetizers and two entrees including scallops and salmon. The scallop dish was $52 with literally 3 pieces of scallop and risotto. This is ridiculously priced and a TOTAL RIP OFF!!! The scallop dish tasted horrible and would not recommend. The salmon price and portion were fair. We would not recommend this restaurant anymore as there are better alternatives for locals to visit. read more

Great, high quality food. The service was excellent, very attentive without being overly so. Made suggestions readily. Definitely upper class atmosphere with "beautiful people" having lunch, upscale decor, seating, settings. Pricing may seem a touch high to some but should be expected in a place of this caliber. No flip flops and tank tops here thank goodness! I was made to feel foolish for not having a Tuesday lunch reservation even though they were never more than half full. This visit to Vintner Grill, was my first time coming to this amazing place in a long time. Our server Daniel, was excellent, he got all our orders correctly and made sure that everything that went on was timed perfectly. Also, the bread man and water boy kept on refilling our drinks and he was on top of everything. My personal favorite at this restaurant is the bread tray. A person comes with 5 different varieties of bread, and you get to choose which one you want! For example, I had the Pretzel Bread, the Cheddar Bacon, and the White Chocolate Walnut breads! The butter is served with olive oil and herbs, which enhances the flavor of the bread. For my entree, I had the prosciutto flatbread with truffle oil. It was very tasty, and every slice is covered in slices of prosciutto. We also tried the Mediterranean Sea Bass, and it was the best fish I have ever had. It has a soft inside and crispy skin, which made it heavenly. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Upside-down cake, and it was delicious. It was like eating a warm apple pie, in a cake form.
