Disappointing birthday experience! Came here for my birthday on a Thursday, with reservations, expecting the glitzy Vegas-style experience they advertise. We made sure to mention it was my birthday, the place was nearly empty -- only a four tables -- and the service was painfully slow. I was dressed to the nines in a sequined dress and fur coat, ready for a night of glamour, but I could barely even get a drink. The hostess only came over because we called her and said our server was "caught up," but with so few tables, that didn't make sense. No coat check, no energy, no sense of occasion. We didn't even stay for dessert, which says it all. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wowww. I had no idea when walking in to V's Paradise that it would hands down be one of the best and funnest dining experiences I've ever had. I don't know where to begin with V's Paradise... we booked same day reservations for two while visiting the Sacramento area. When we arrived we were greeted at the entrance by a friendly security guard and were then escorted to our table by the most sweet and welcoming hostess. The interior of the restaurant is stunning, so much details in the light fixtures, the murals, the lighting and the architecture. Online pictures didn't do the restaurant justice, it's even more chic and stunning in person. We started off with the Armenian Espresso Martinis and chatted with our server for a bit. She was very friendly and took her time explaining the menu and specials. For appetizers we started with the Hye Bye and Kabobs. The appetizers were dropped off by Richard the GM of the restaurant. He explained to us in detail our appetizers, how they're prepped and then chatted with us a bit about the restaurants vision and Armenian influence on the menu. The apps themselves were flavorful and presented beautifully. We ordered our entrees and enjoyed the atmosphere, there was a live saxophone player walking around the restaurant playing cover songs of todays hits. Super entertaining, romantic and unique. As anticipated our main entrees were beautifully presented and equally delicious. We took our first few bites of our food and then out of nowhere I looked up and a huge giant dancing panda came out from around the corner. I'll be honest I was so confused and terrified at first that I dropped my fork. Before we knew it there was a saxophone player, a giant panda and a giant grizzly bear dancing all around the restaurant and the crowd was LOVING IT. Once the dancing bears left the floor we finished our food and digested what we had just experienced lol. I honestly could go on and rave on for days about how this experience was amazing from start to finish. The hospitality and service here is unmatched and left a very memorable mark. Me and my wife came here for my birthday dinner. I heard about this restaurant through Yelp and social media. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by staff. Staff were friendly and very polite. We were seated immediately and the waitress took our order. I ordered a v's fashion drink, Armenian Caesar, shrimp & lobster toast and the short rib with mashed potatoes. The drink was phenomenal, delicious and very refreshing. The Caesar and shrimp & lobster toast was delicious and very flavorful. The short rib with the mashed potatoes with mushrooms was phenomenal and very tender. We got a chance to speak with the owner who is very friendly and humble. We were presented with ice cream with Armenian coffee. The dessert was great and very tasty. I visited V's Paradise in Sacramento to celebrate my birthday. While the restaurant itself is nice and has a good atmosphere, my overall experience was disappointing. Despite having a reservation, my party waited about 35 minutes to be seated. Once seated, our food came out late. I had also asked if they could sing Happy Birthday, which unfortunately did not happen. The most upsetting part of the visit was the interaction with our waitress. When I asked for assistance, she responded in a very unprofessional manner, saying she had been on her feet all day, was tired, and that I would have to wait until she was able to help me. I understand that service jobs are demanding, but that response felt disrespectful and inappropriate--especially during a birthday celebration. I may consider returning in the future, but for now, I left feeling disappointed and disrespected by the service at this location. read more

We were super excited to try V's, have been following them on social media for awhile and don't get out much because we have little kids. So I have high expectations for our once a blue moon date nights :) It started well, they gave us 2 complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. The lobster toast was really good - not what I was expecting, but still good. * picture lobster stuffed French toast * The spring salad had a lot of potential but was very overly dressed. Way too much dressing! I ordered the seafood pappardelle - and that's where it goes south. The first bite left my tongue feeling very acidic and tangy. I'm not sure if it was the cherry tomatoes or what, but the aftertaste was terrible. My husband, who isn't a picky eater at all, agreed. I politely requested if they could make the same thing but just do butter and cheese. The waitress was really nice about it, but when she brought it back, they omitted the scallops - the reason it was more expensive. So that was disappointing but I didn't feel I should keep complaining. My husband got the lamb chops and really liked them. Service was good but not great. Waitress took 10 minutes each time we asked for something. The owner walked around to every single table except ours. I found that to be rude. He stopped at all the tables to talk to them and make conversation, but never once did he visit with us. Sorry I'm not an influencer? I returned sooner than I thought! A good friend celebrated their birthday party at V's Paradise! Of course, I got the tower of margaritas AGAIN!!! OK....once again they did not disappoint. We had a party of 8 and it turned out great! (I'm not a rapper) I had the Shrimp and Lobster toast for an appetizer. AMAZING!!! I did not want to share but there was enough to! So I did give up one bite! LOL For dinner it was the Ribeye for me - cooked medium rare. It was perrrrrrrrrrfect. And the flavor was rich and satisfying. Hi, I wanted to write my experience last night yesterday and Thursday night. I had took my friend out for her birthday. I had hyped up the restaurant so so much I had been to this restaurant before with no problems. I have been to their nightclub before I don't know what under the sun on the moon and stars was the difference last night, but I was so disgusted and embarrassed at their Pizza Hut service.... Looking at everything else, but any of one's eyes It was just so off it got to the point once he walked I already felt such secondhand embarrassment. I had dragged everyone here, and I had told them about their phenomenal service because I had been there previously... Just for us to be met with upper attitude and not even prioritized it wasn't busy. I would've completely understand if every table was maxed out if the bar was maxed out. That they will on staff that this was a company that was known for their Uber eats and DoorDash deals. I would have so much more patience for that but Especially with how dead it was ????!!!!! We were just so checked out the vibe and the attitude was so off. We just got up and left to eat informed them that we were gonna leave Addressed to the manager that I did not appreciate him taking a phone call when he already saw a standing there I really thought he should have prioritize. I went here twice both times drinks only- first time was during the week when it was less busy and quieter and it was lovely. Magician there was very fun. The 2nd time I went for my birthday on a Friday & ONLY went there because of the Dubai espresso martini cocktail that I saw another customer post online a couple months back (I know kinda silly to go only for a drink but this thing looked so so pretty!!) Literally it is one of the first videos that pop up when you google this restaurant. So, I was very disappointed with the cocktail for the price ($22), as it was **considerably** different than what I had seen other customers get online (no bright green chopped pistachio rim, no drizzle on top, no flower, etc- added comparison photo for reference) And the photographer who was there kept pressuring my friend and I to have our photos taken without telling us actually what it was for even though we asked multiple times. She said "it's for the restaurant" which was vague (& not true) but it was my birthday so we took a couple and then she came back out with them completely printed and framed (literally every one) trying to sell them to us for $25 each.... (So again- not for the restaurant or for like socials or something, you're just trying to sell us photos and failed to mention that before taking our pictures) also- when she brought out the framed photos she just handed them to us- so I fully thought they were just free, until my finance asked "how much" which then the photographer gave the price and said that they were for sale... My friend then asked what she was going to do with the prints if we didn't want any and instead of just politely saying they would get rid of them she looked as us extremely rude and judgmental like we were weird for asking what would be happening with our images. It was a very uncomfortable experience unfortunately because of the photographer the 2nd time around. The rest of the staff were polite. I would go again as I do love the vibe of the building just maybe not on the weekends personally, and I would now knowingly decline the photographer. I didn't ask for them to remake the drink and explain why is was different because I was just so overwhelmed with the photographer and I am usually to anxious to do that anyways so the combination on my bday wasn't great. I haven't tried the food so I can't speak on that- just hope the drinks become consistent with how they are made and advertised (especially for that price!!) and that they have the photographer be up front and ask if we want our photos taken to BUY since they are trying to sell them to you. read more

I paid a fair amount of money for my significant other and I to dine at Vs for Valentine Day. We showed up 15 min prior to our resy to only be greeted by a line of other customers who had the same seating time. We weren't pressed, so we got in line. I was wearing 4 inch heels and to my avail, not only did we not get seated at our reservation time, but we sat 30 min after. When the doors opened and we were greeted by the host, he sat is at the one table that was in the middle of the walk way. Right by the bar where other patrons were standing to get drinks and wait for seats. I told the host that I was not happy about my seat and he said, that's where you paid to sit. When I never had a choice to choose my seat when i pre-paid! Meanwhile, I watched a gentleman who did not have reservation, but knew the owner get a prime seat for him and his date. The food was so hot steaming but I came back for brunch and the food was cold and the "grilled" chicken was actually fried chicken croutons. This elegant, jazzy, loungy experience is exactly what old town Sacramento needed. It's a beautiful place to celebrate any occasion or even if you just want to enjoy some live music. Service was excellent, and they aim to treat you like VIP. My favorite thing on the menu was actually their Pavlova. Next, if the owner just happens to be there, he's going to give you personal attention as well, the servers the bartender. Speaking of the bartender Lacey who just happened to be here yesterday during our dining experience was beyond amazing. All of those drinks that I featured in this review were prepared personally by Her! We came out here to try out their happy hour, which is extremely reasonable and the portions are very synonymous to what you get on regular menu. I have to share that I've been there for dinner twice prior to this review And this is my third experience. It just keeps getting better. If you come out to this restaurant during the weekend, I highly recommend reservations, but just know there will be live entertainment at times there are other events that will occur during the weekends, such as brunches on both days. We went here for a post-Valentine's day dinner and it was very nice. Great decor too. Surprising to find it among the hustle and bustle of old town. Parking can be a bit trick there but we were fortunate to find a meter nearby. They had live music and someone playing the saxophone, which gave it a very romantic ambience. I made a reservation here a few weeks ago for my birthday brunch and I was let down with the service. It took a very long time to get our water, to place drink orders, and to place our food orders. There was a long wait between each order. Also the food wasn't even warm when we did receive it. I ordered the steak frites medium well and it was red and bloody and my friend ordered hers medium and hers was well done. We were a table of 9 so it makes me think that we didn't receive the best service because the waiter automatically received a 20% gratuity. I had to ask for the waiter to fill up my water glass twice and when it was empty for quite awhile. Also he didn't fill up the rest of the guests water when I asked. Also the signs said that it was going to be an R&B brunch with a live DJ, but instead they had a live saxophone player. I'm sad that I didn't have the same experience that other patrons from the reviews did, but unfortunately I will not be back to give this place another try. read more

I came here for my birthday and was honestly really disappointed. They usually have entertainment, but there wasn't any this time, which made the atmosphere feel flat. We had to wait at the bar because they wouldn't seat us until half the party arrived, even though I had already paid a $200 deposit for a large group. The Strawberry Paradise drink at the bar was the highlight (super good, kind of like a strawberry white linen). When I told them it was my birthday, they asked if I wanted to do a "carousel" experience and explain what it was but didn't openly share what it cost. They just asked me yes or no. When I asked how much it was, it was over $90. That just felt strange and felt like they were trying to upsell. The food took a really long time to come out. The staff did check on us once to mention the kitchen was backed up, but it was still frustrating waiting so long. When it finally came, it wasn't as good as before. A few of us ordered the scallops, and unfortunately we all felt nauseous afterward, which ruined the rest of my birthday evening. My friends also wanted to do something small for me, but the restaurant charged $15 for a tiny dessert with a candle, which is usually something restaurants comp for birthdays. Even after appetizers and drinks, we left still hungry and ended up going somewhere else. The atmosphere is nice overall, but you can tell the place isn't being taken care of like it used to be and I don't think it's been open for even a year yet. Bathrooms were clean, but there was a weird leak with a towel wrapped around it. Overall, this place just isn't what it used to be. I don't see it being open much longer if this is how they treat their customers. Between the long wait, mediocre food, extra charges, and everyone feeling sick after, it made for a really disappointing birthday experience. I was a little disappointed because i wanted to see what all the hype was about but after the visit i actually can say i enjoyed my time there while it was basically empty due to it being early in the evening and no entertainment scheduled. We had dinner here on Saturday night, and while the setting was lovely and the live music was excellent, the overall experience was disappointing. The volume of the music was uncomfortably loud--so much so that, at a table of five, I couldn't hear our server speaking just a few seats away. We politely asked if the volume could be lowered, but the request was dismissed with, "It's live music." While the band was talented, the noise level made normal conversation nearly impossible without raising our voices. As for the food, it was overpriced for what you get. A $69 ribeye doesn't include sides, and one of our party's steaks, ordered medium rare, arrived medium well. He chose not to send it back, but it certainly affected our impression. Our server was attentive and professional, and the restaurant itself is stylish, but between the high prices, overly loud music, and lack of willingness to adjust for guest comfort, it simply wasn't worth it. If you're looking for a similar upscale dining experience without these downsides, I'd recommend Q1227 at the Galleria--better food, better value, and an equally elegant atmosphere with top-notch service. read more

Not the vibe I want for a dining experience. When we mentioned it, we were told that there was not a way to lower the level of the music, and that the live music was starting soon and it would be even louder. So excited to come here! Read great reviews and love the area....big space with nice people welcoming you. We ordered our "fancy" drinks (which were super sugary and sweet unfortunately ) from our very nice waitress and saw a couple nearby dressed up having photos taken. My girlfriends and I were looking forward to the dinning experience and we were not disappointed.. The ambiance was lovely with a nice touch of saxophone music playing in the background. The service was great, however I feel the space seemed very crowded..too many tables too close together for the price point . The food was good , all three of us had the Short Ribs and they definitely didn't disappoint! Tender flavorful beef in a pillow of potato purée .. delicious though I would have like a tad more of the potatoes with the portion of meat that was served! The Drinks were delicious, I ordered the Bella Ciao. That Chili Pepper they used alone turned the drink to a 9....Thanks V's Paradise.. until next time... Happy Eating! read more

the Steak and eggs brunch meal was to die for!!! the flavor was in each aspect of the plate. The drinks were refreshing and tasty! This was definitely the place to eat for brunch . UPDATE: I am documenting the timeline of my ongoing legal and regulatory dispute with management regarding my injury on Saturday, January 31. The owner, Vardan "V" Sargsyan, originally contacted me directly, admitted to the premises' visibility hazards, and explicitly committed to dinner compensation. However, ownership has completely breached that agreement. I sent formal requests for communication via Facebook direct messages, which went entirely unanswered. Furthermore, when I posted on their Instagram page requesting a response and explaining what happened, No response was received. Weeks later, the general manager, Richard Kazanjian, published a post on Facebook publicly mocking another customer who left them a bad review. I commented directly under that post, requesting he comment on my situation publicly so I could finally find out why they treated an injured patron this way. He completely ignored my comment. While I did receive a single phone call following my social media activity, my immediate return communication outlining my availability was entirely ignored, as have been all subsequent emails.The physical hazard at this establishment remains a severe public [[HIGHLIGHT]]safety threat. The structural layout features a 3 to 4 foot wall that completely obscures a 12 stair staircase around a corner. Combined with poor lighting, it creates an optical illusion of continuous, flat flooring. Code enforcement has since confirmed the area is non-compliant wi[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]t[[HIGHLIGHT]]h California Building Code (CBC) Section 1023.9 for lacking mandated stairway identification. While safety stanchions are present, but weren't in use when my h[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]u[[HIGHLIGHT]]sband and I were there, proving management knows a barrier is required. I've seen photos where it appears that they might now have the s[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]ignage up. But at the time, this structural defect caused me severe physical trauma, including a documented 8x13" swollen hematoma on my hip and body bruising from my shoulder to my foot. Following my fall, management actively deflected responsibility by blaming my footwear, failed to provide a promised on site medical evaluation, and refused to document a standard incident report. It is professionally disconcerting that while my valid safety and medical concerns are being ignored and actively censored, the business prioritizes its resources on social media influencers. A formal settlement demand has been issued, and I am fully prepared to proceed with a Sacramento Superior Court filing if they maintain their silence. read more

All of the staff from servers, Maitre d, bartenders, and even the managers are all working as a team to create an emotional experience. Ordered the tomahawk steak for their Thursday special, and there were different, unique flavors depending upon what part of the steak you choose to eat. Some parts were like prime rib, the middle had a distinctive Middle Eastern flavor, and other parts had epic steakhouse flair.
