    Avocado Tartine

Hits the spot when you're looking for something delicious and filling. Got the avocado tartine and it was so good. Chicken sliders are tasty and not dinky little things either, all for a good price.

The waffles here are always so fluffy and amazing! The chicken is seasoned perfectly and the secret yummy sauce is SO GOOD! Every worker here is always so nice and attent!

    Breakfast Sammy

Almost a complete disappointment. Not sure if maybe one of the other locations might be better but I ordered the breakfast Sammy and a pressed apple juice. The breakfast Sammy was hard to eat and I ended up trying to add some syrup to it to jazz it up. It didn't help. The bacon was tough, waffle this weird flaky limp waffle of a thing and whatever their sauce is they adorn said waffle is...they should leave it off. It's pretty bad They got 2 stars out of me for the pressed apple juice that was actually good.

    The Dulce

This is my first time eating here, and I can say that it was delicious and the best dessert I could end my week with. We ordered a waffle called Dulce and another with Apple, my favorite was the Dulce! It comes with ice cream, strawberries, and dulce de leche! I want to go back soon! The place is nice, it has a bird decoration on the ceiling that I thought was beautiful.

Got here at 1:30pm for lunch with my family and while everyone in the staff was busy in the back goofing off, they weren't too slow to take our order but almost all of the napkin dispensers had about 2-3 napkins in them, the ice machine was never turned on until we asked for ice, and half of fountain drinks were just soda water. Customer walked in and they were busy again in the back goofing off. Definitely not against having fun at work and enjoying coworkers.. But they don't care to have the place taken care of.

I've heard of a magical place called Waffle House. They're open 24 hours, the menu is cheap, but…read morethe food is great! I understood their locations only exist closer to the east half of the country, and was quite sad to know it'll likely be a very long time before I'll ever get the experience. Well that *was* until my good friend recommended the local diner Belgian Waffle & Omelet Inn which actually achieves everything I could ever want from a Waffle House! The food is actually amazing, and clearly made with love! I got their garlic burger which was just incredible, served with a generous portion of delicious fries! and my friend got huge stack of pancakes topped with ice cream and fresh fruit that I tried a little of and also adored! We also both had their raspberry lemonade, and I got an extra side of sausages. It was all so amazing. and even tho I saw the pricing on the menu, I was honestly expecting to spend about double what I actually paid (I seem to have generous rounded up too much in my head). I was frankly shocked the final bill was only $26! I felt like I was robbing them! I made sure to leave a large tip. The place was very clean and has a nice cozy atmosphere, and the staff were all so kind! I even received a compliment from one of the staff who's a Studio Ghibli fan and loved my soot sprite pin. I could go on and on about how this is easily one of my new favorite restaurants I'll be going to any time I get the munchies and want some comfort food, or whenever I'm really hungover and just need a quiet, gentle atmosphere where I can feel like a character in Twin Peaks. (My enthusiasm for this place is on par with Agent Dale Cooper.) I seriously can't recommend all of this enough. I'm shocked it exists, and frankly feel a sense of guile in knowing it's too good for Salt Lake City. I'm not religious, but I've now found heaven.

Coffee was poor, tasted like it had been using the same ground to pass water through several times. The place is a little run down, which is okay. But the food was poor! The waffle was soggy. The fruit for the waffle had defrosted from a bag some days or weeks ago. The chicken strips were dry. Now was it just my meal that was bad? No. The others we had weren't too great either but I do feel like if you stop here you do want to try their hash browns. They are not your traditional hash browns. They are nice thick slices of potatoes. I did wish I tried the onion rings. They looked amazing, but they were for another table. Maybe next time I will try them.

So I think in talking to most of my friends I got a good view on the food, and presentation. I had a starter of Totchos, and the Beef Dipper for my entrée. Both were excellent, I shared my Totchos. These are tater tot nachos, they were excellent, normally I don't like cheese sauce on Nachos, but given the consistency and flavor of this sauce (house made, I'm guessing. Not canned) They were excellent. The Beef Dipper and Au Jus, also top notch! Generally in a French dip, there is a lot of fatty pieces, this was not that. Also at my table was the Chile Verde bowl, this one has a kick... but my friend having it really enjoyed it. The fish and chips was great, smelled fresh. Lets talk about the sides. Choice of Fries (appeared to be battered fries, always a favorite of mine.) Tots, or house made potato chips. I had the Potato Chips with mine, these were excellent, crisp and tender on the inside. The Athena (Lamb Burger) got rave reviews from one at the table The Service: Because we were in a large group they advised us they were going to be taking our orders as we came in so not to overwhelm the kitchen staff. Excellent communication throughout service given that we were a large group. I talked to one of the Owners, Laurie, I could tell she had a huge sense of pride in the place. Very friendly! The Restaurant: Great atmosphere, Fun artwork, best of all, VERY Clean, nothing sticky or no grease buildup on any surface. The glass ware on the wall behind the bar as all polished. In the bar area they stack their silver, tableware, condiments etc. in a cute little cozy box on the table, with the main dining area setup as a diner with the traditional paper napkin and silverware. For a diner motif to have shined silver and glassware is a nice touch! Summary: Eat here! The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent, when I looked at the menu online I was a little put off by no actual entrée's on the dinner menu, however the in house experience made up for that, it's a pub food vibe and they are doing it well!

Every dish that came to our table looked like it belonged in a magazine, but the best part was that the food tasted just as incredible as it looked. We started with the Eggs Benedict, which featured perfectly poached eggs, flavorful rosemary ham, rich hollandaise, and crispy potatoes. The Funky Monkey French Toast was over-the-top in the best possible way, loaded with Nutella, bananas, berries, roasted peanuts, and real maple syrup. The double cheeseburger was juicy, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with crispy fries. We also loved the Beet & Strawberry Panzanella, which balanced sweet strawberries, earthy beets, creamy whipped goat cheese, crunchy pecans, and fresh mint for a refreshing combination. The biggest surprise of the meal was the beignets. Warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar, they were easily one of the best we've ever had. They practically melted in our mouths and were worth the visit all on their own. Unfortunately, it's still the same, big portions, but taste is mediocre. I had the corn beef hash plate and nothing was seasoned. The corned beef was dry. I ordered for appetizers two plates of the Philly Cheesesteaks fries wish was a really big disappointment because the cheese tasted like cheese out of a can, the fries tasted like fries out of the freezer bag, and the meat was just bland. I ordered 2 strawberry scones to go, and I was thinking the scones would be like biscuits I mean, that's what scones are usually right??? No, instead these stupid scones were fried bread with real strawberries cut up into it and some type of icing added. Disgusting and disappointing when I really wanted a biscuit scone. I don't know why I tried here again, and I was hoping that the new menu items would taste better. It was about a 20 minute wait for a party of 11 we were seated next to the kitchen by the stools. The waitress was really kind and attentive. The food came out pretty quick, but I mean I would rather it come out slow and taste good instead of quick and taste. Disgusting. I also had a side of the Dubai chocolate pancakes, you couldn't even taste the Dubai chocolate and it was a dollar extra just to add a scoop of whipped cream on it, which is ridiculous to me Again, it was very large portions, but the taste was so poor, mediocre, bland, and burnt My kids had simple platters like cheeseburgers and chicken tenders. They all disliked it saying that somehow their fries were burnt their burgers were also overcooked, in the end it was a waste of money for us, and I will take my business elsewhere and not try Penny Ann again.
