Compared to other Chubby Group restaurants, I think this one is more affordable and still has those quality meats. The weekday lunch is $39.99 per person and it had wagyu meat cuts, like rib fingers, brisket and other meats like pork, shrimp, and veggies. When we went there, the sushi and some side dishes were running low but still had a great experience. I do wish they fill up the plates a bit quicker because I never got to try the lobster dumplings, they never filled it up. One of the main side dishes, wagyu burger was so so good, sushi was fresh and I like the desserts. I had egg tart and cake rolls that were so soft and not too sweet. The servers were so nice and they were even cooking the meat for us.

Came here for lunch. Great deal!! Great selection of Wagyu and other types of meat. Not only that there is sushi, other selections of tempura, steamed dumplings and even Swiss rolls for dessert. Our server, Stanley was awesome. He was patient answering our questions and was very quick to help us. Love this place!!

Definitely a 4+ star restaurant the bonus 5th star for our very friendly and attentive server Stanley S. He went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Loved that the restaurant was small, so everything seemed reachable and way to get. The layout and idea was excellent. You can your own meat, seafood, veggies to grill at your table. There were also egg tarts, drinks, Waygu mini burgers, appetizers, snacks, chocolate roll, dumplings and soft drink to take. The only suggestion is if at least one type of milk tea was included. Parking was easy: just park at the garage opposite. Will come again!

Thursday dinner was $50 per person. 90 minute limit. All self served AYCE stations available with meats and seafood, vegetables, sushi and rolls, fried food and soda machine. The restaurant was much smaller than I expected and the layout was a little weird. I didn't like how the doors were open for a while, which is right near the sushi station. Flies were seen landing..which made you second guess what to eat. The meat qualities were extremely low grade. Some meats were completely frozen, all stuck together, making it hard to grab with tongs. The tongs were placed everywhere, not truly designated for each individual item. Basically cross contamination galore, especially for people who are unable to eat certain items. The selections were constantly empty. They couldn't keep it replenished or stocked quickly enough compared to the crowds. I definitely don't think it was worth the price point. The restrooms were extremely dirty, too. Almost forgot, we were seated at a table that still had dirty, filled cups, and one grill was only partially operable. Unfortunately, this was a no for me.

Just left Wagyu Factory and really enjoyed it. Great selection overall, especially the meats. Good variety of sauces too. The Wagyu stew was my favorite of the cooked dishes. Sushi was good and tasted fresh. Only thing I'd change is more dessert options. Other than that, solid experience. Manager Alex is awesome kept everything running smooth, and our server Myleen was on top of it. Our son dropped a fork and without waiting to ask for another, she saw and had one back before we can ask. Overall though? Already planning the comeback. Highly recommend!

We've been to Wagyu Factory in Brea several times now, and it has consistently been a great experience. The food is always delicious, and the employees are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. On our most recent visit, our server, Marcus, recommended trying their special Crazy Sauce, which has a nice spicy kick. We're so glad we took the recommendation because it was fantastic and paired really well with the meats. The restaurant is all-you-can-eat, buffet style. You simply choose the meats, vegetables, seafood, and other items you want from the buffet, then bring them back to your table to cook yourself. It's a fun, interactive dining experience, especially with family or friends. One thing I would skip is the fried food selection. While it's available, I don't think it's nearly as good as the fresh items you cook yourself. They also offer sushi, but I've occasionally noticed that it appears to have been sitting out for a while, so I'm not always confident about its freshness. Be sure to save room for dessert! The cake rolls and egg tarts are consistently delicious and are one of my favorite ways to end the meal. They also have a self-serve soda fountain with unlimited refills, which my kids always enjoy, while I'm perfectly happy sticking with water. Overall, Wagyu Factory has become one of our go-to spots for Japanese BBQ. The consistently good food, friendly service, and fun dining experience keep us coming back.

My family and I came here for lunch on the weekend and ended up waiting more than an hour and a half before getting a table. The restaurant is smaller than other Chubby Group locations I've been to, and with so many people waiting, the space felt quite crowded and a little tight. At around $50 per person, I think the price is fair for the quality of the meat. My biggest issue wasn't the cost, but the overall experience. The long wait was already a challenge, and the meat refills were slower than I expected. With only 90 minutes to eat, I never really felt like I had enough time to enjoy the meal. The restaurant does have other options like hamburgers, fried rice, and some dumplings, but I came here mainly for the meat and sushi. The meat was fresh and tasted good, but the sushi didn't really stand out to me. There weren't many choices, and I felt the quality was just average. It was a very busy day, so maybe the staff were just overwhelmed. One small thing that stood out was that after we were seated, no one brought us cups for our drinks, and we had to find someone ourselves. Staff also stopped by asking if everything was okay, but they often walked away before we even had a chance to respond. It wasn't a huge issue by itself, but together with the long wait and slow refills, it made the whole experience feel less enjoyable than what I've had at other restaurants in the same group. In the end, while the meat was good for the price, there wasn't anything that made me want to come back.

All cuts of meat were very fresh and amazing. Stanley was our waiter and he took the time to explain everything and answer questions. He also made some dipping sauces that was the icing on cake for us. Restaurant was very clean and brightly lit. I went to the one in Rancho Cucamonga and was very unhappy with everything. Brea was Amazing.

There was plenty of parking available in the structure across the street, which was convenient. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. We waited nearly an hour to be seated, and once inside, the restaurant felt quite cramped. The table we were given seemed better suited for 2 to 3 people rather than 4. The table was small, and it was positioned too close to the wall that getting in and out of our seats was difficult. Service was also lacking. Our server was not very attentive and we had to flag him down multiple times to have the dishes cleared from our table. The only times he proactively checked on us were when he brought the bill and when we paid. I also did not like being required to download the restaurant's app. On top of that, only about half of the grill surface actually cooked meat properly, which made the dining experience negative. As for the food, the meat quality was decent, but most of the other food items were below expectations. Although,, the Wagyu Burger was surprisingly good. Overall, we left disappointed and felt the experience did not live up to the hype. 2.5/5

Absolutely loved our first time here. Quality meat, sushi, and more. The hubby really raved about the wagyu burger... which is a big deal because he doesn't even like burgers! Several amazing cuts of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as seafood. The meats were all very fresh, flavorful, and tender. The shrimp were hige and sweet! Sushi was pretty good for AYCE -- freshly-made and rice was not packed on like you would find at other buffets. But what really stood out was the AMAZING service by our waiter, Tri. He upped our dinner experience a whole level with how genuinely kind, cheerful, and helpful he was. From a secret hot dipping sauce he whipped up, to meat recommendations, to attentiveness, to suggesting trying a dab of wasabi and a sprinkle of salt on the wagyu (who knew?!), he was just the best waiter you could want. We will definitely be coming back...and hoping we get the honor of being waited on by Tri.

My family and I wanted to have BBQ so we stopped by Wagyu Factory. The place wasn't busy at 4pm, so we were seated right away. It's a self services place, so you get the meats and sides you want. The meats they offered were placed in small amouts and were more often times than not unavailable. A lot of the time, as soon as the meats were replenished, they were just as fast emptied. For the most part, the wagyu meats were tender and delicious. They did also have pork and lamb too. For the other items, I liked the egg tart and corn cheese as they weren't too sweet and oftered a nice change in pace to the meal.

Second time for my sister and I. Loved the choices of meat and all the other foods. So full and satisfied. Audric was our waiter once again and he was so helpful and friendly. Always a good attitude and so respectful! Our table was ready and clean and all dishes were removed without being asked. Music was just at the right volume. Not too loud, which is perfect.

This is kinda like Chubby Cattle, self-serve style with about half the menu. It's a little cheaper than CC. M-F, it's 49.99 for dinner and $6 cheaper for Chubby Plus members. The nice thing is, you don't have to waste time scrolling through a menu screen and waiting for the food but you do have to get it yourself. It is still a time 90 minute limit. While it doesn't give the same amount of meat/protein options as CC, it has enough. It has some additional things like Wagyu stew, Wagyu tomato, udon noodles and a fried/snack bar along with lobster and shrimp dumplings. The side food items are okay, nothing great. They also have about a dozen sushi and roll options and lobster rolls and Wagyu sliders. Personally I'd stick to the meats. They have plenty of protein options including meats, chicken wings, squid, and shrimp. They also have a vegetable bar with mushrooms, zucchini, kim chi, seaweed, etc. Drinks are included but they only have soda fountains drinks, cold and hot water and they don't have an extensive dessert selection. They only have egg custard (don tot) and vanilla/chocolate cake rolls. If you have a smaller table of 2 or 3, you might share a larger table with another party. You'll have your own grill though. Servers were friendly and on a side note if you want to tip extra, give it to the busboys. TBH, I think they do the lion share of the work.

Ask the Community - Wagyu Factory

I am a little confused on children's pricing and would love clarification. Do children only qualify based on certain height requirements? That seems unfair and discriminatory towards taller children.

How is the king crab cooked? Also, is it on the buffet area or you order in the ipad? And is it extra charge?

You cook everything at your table grill like a kbbq. The sushi, rice, noodles and burgers are cooked as part of the buffet. Everything else is cooked by you at the table

    How is parking?

There's limited parking behind the restaurant but there's free public parking garage across the street

Are they open for lunch yet ive heard mixed things on their soft opening hours?

    Yes, they're open for lunch.

How much is it per person?

    Mon-Thurs Lunch $39.99 per person Dinner $49.99 per person…

Does this location have hot pot?

    No, It is BBQ only.

    What are the prices?

    Mon-Thurs Lunch $39.99 Dinner $49.99…

Is the menu here the same as the Lake Forest/ El Toro Rd one's?

I think it's different, this is an entirely self service location unless you pay for a5 Wagyu brisket (order from server). But it is an ayce bbq experience.

They offer three varieties, and each brings something different to the table. My personal favorite was the original it complemented everything perfectly. If you're looking for delicious BBQ with genuinely welcoming service, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing and you feel like you are transported to a different era! Kevin was one of the best servers Iv had in a long time, he gets 5 stars!! My wife and I shared the 2 meat plate and added the beef rib bone and a happy hour portion of the brisket fries. I eat a lot and we had a lot left over! The ribs were perfectly smoked and not overwhelming and did not even need sauce on them! The brisket was a little on the dryer side but was still pretty good The beef rib was a little heavy on the pepper for my taste but was still great and not many places offer a Dino sized beef rib The brisket fries were loaded with cheese and brisket and were amazing The Mac n cheese and creamed corn were fantastic however the creamed corn was a little on the sweeter side but was still full of flavor The corn bread is a must to add on! It's not overly sweet but more of a perfect balance of sweet and savory and paired with the special butter, it is perfection! We spent about 100$ total for ALOT of food and had plenty of leftovers. All in all this restaurant does a great job if you want authentic bbq! It's not like Lucille's or Dickeys, this place has real bbq and because of that it will be my new go to for bbq!

It wasn't tasty and it was meh. Absolutely loved the baked Biscuit with the Apple Butter. Service was great. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Ambiance is nice and decorative throughout.

Review 65/365 Day Challenge…read more I'm not a yelper that usually leave a negative review unless it's really terrible and a 1 star but Lucille's not just myself was dissatisfied it was my whole entire family. They all decided that we're taking Lucille's out of our family dinner list. We usually frequent Lucille's since my son loves bbq ribs and we'd come here for a celebration. Like for this Tuesday evening we came to celebrate my bro in law n my son's bday. Duo celebration. If you look at my review from 4 years ago, 5 stars and i haven't updated since because it's usually been pretty good each time returning that there was no need to update it. But this experience we had this past week was really bad that we've decided that we likely will be stop coming to our local Lucille's. Read other reviews on here that aren't left a while back and looks like they've also mention how Lucille's quality along as service has gone down tremendously a lot. When we were seated, we didn't get any assistance from a server til 10 mins plus. We had to ask the associate that was wiping down tables if he was covering our area to get some assistance. He informed us that our server should be right over. Our fountain drinks that we ordered Sprite, Dr Pepper and sweet tea tasted off. There was barely any carbonation nor did the sweet tea had any sweetening to the tea we loved here. We informed our server and she told the manager gal. The manager came and spoke to us 5 mins later and confirmed to us she noticed the fountain drinks were off and was having an associate replace the fountain drinks machine but meanwhile offered if we can get another drink in the time being without no charge so we may enjoy something with our meals. We took the offer n got a strawberry lemonade along w a peach lemonade also while waiting for the replacement soda. My kids weren't too much of a fan of lemonade but tried their best to enjoy the lemonade. About 20 mins to half n hour later. The manager did see us and came back to ask how our replacement soda tasted and we informed her we never got our replacement soda. She let an associate know and we finally got our replacement soda. But by then, we were about done w our meals and was pretty full. Ask an associate that is now no longer our original server but a server that was just bringing our food and drinks to us. A to go cup so we can just take our replacement soda to go. We never got out to go cup. Either they were short staffed that evening or associates just wasn't happy being there. Because when we asked for Togo containers too. It took some time to get it. Please Lucille's management, if you see this review. Look into your staffs. The restaurant is clean it's just there are some etiquettes that need to be going over. A BIG HUGE READ FLAG. Why would an associate be SWEEPING RIGHT NEXT TO A TABLE THAT IS CURRENTLY TRYING TO ENJOY THEIR DINNER. Where do you think sweeping the floor. The dust particles up in the air would go to. It'll be flying around where we are digesting our food. This is something no one would enjoy seeing when eating. Not sure if the associate didn't have a clue regards to this. ITS POOR HYGIENE for a restaurant industry. I was feeling under the weather along there was no upper management nor much associate to even let them know what we were dealing with. With all of the ordeal and mishap. If you look at my review b4 this. We've got a complimentary bday celebration dessert but this time. We just wanted to be done. Didn't even bother doing our annual bday celebration there that my son enjoys with his uncle for their bday celebration tradition. We still left a 16% tip because we know how things are with possibly server just being low staffed. Because we saw our original server Alyssa at the end b4 leaving the restaurant. She was able to give us a set of Togo boxes. Told us she apologized she couldn't continue serving us because she had a bigger party of 15 to attend to. That would've been great to know b4 she left our table to serve the other table so we weren't turning our head constantly trying to find any service from anyone. We just decided to pay on the tablet. By than didn't want to deal with anyone and wanted to leave asap. Since that was the only service that can help us pay for our bill. Please LUCILLES...DO BETTER!

About twice a year is all I need to meet my smoked meat hankering. This place is great for when I'm in the mood for BBQ, but it's my go-to spot on Tuesdays for these $3 tacos. Massive tacos made with substantial handmade tortillas and protein of your choice. I usually go with the perfectly grilled and smoky shrimp, but other options include tri-tip, brisket, pork belly or pulled pork. The best part is that they griddle one side of the tortilla with queso fresco first and then flip it over to griddle the other side with the filling inside. The result is a perfectly chewy, yet sturdy vehicle with an internal layer of cheese browned into the tortilla, holding all of the goodies (protein, raw onion and cilantro) intact. Their house made salsa is more of a roasted salsa verde but works really well with the smoky meats and packs some good heat. This place goes hard on the hunger and easy on the wallet. Cheap beers on tap is a nice touch, too.

EVERYTHING was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The meatloaf is not a traditional meatloaf. It was shredded tender meat marinated in delectable spices. The tripl tip was also tender, suberb cut (little to no fat) and a sizable portion. The sides were large enough to share especially the baked potato and Mexican corn. The fried chicken was great and I couldn't stop stealing my kid's fries. Again, everything was delicious. We'll be back for more!
