We stopped by for breakfast after a visit to the hospital. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, and we were seated right away. We ordered Los Tres Golpes (mangu with eggs, fried cheese, and salami), an omelet with French fries, and Nutella pancakes. While the service was attentive and the food came out quickly, the meal itself was just average--nothing special. I could get the same at any diner in New York City.

A friend started taking me to this diner when I came to visit her and it has since become our regular place to eat when we don't know what to eat. Wahi's is humble, not pretentious and full of kindness. There's one lady in particular who works Friday nights normally and is the most genuine person. Never gets an order wrong and is attentive without being overbearing. For me if you can do the simple things good, I'll keep coming back. I always order a ham omelette with home fries and a side of white toast with butter/grape jelly. Never fails to fill my belly and leave me satisfied. Sure the atmosphere could definitely be worked on but nonetheless, we all go for the food and warm service. If you're struggling with what to decide to eat, take a trip to Wahi's, they have pages on menu items and I'm sure something will grab your attention. If all else fails, order a ham omelette. I promise it's delicious. TIP- Sunday-Thursday open till 11pm Friday and Saturday open till 1am

The breakfast was amazing I had waffles with strawberries on top and bacon with eggs , sausage With a side of morisoñando which is (orange juice and milk) bomb btw ; My partner got the buttermilk pancakes with sausage eggs and bacon The service was so fast and very attentive & The ambiance was normal you could just hear others talking but I would definitely recommend this diner for breakfast since I haven't came for dinner or lunch yet but overall you would have a nice filling and beautiful breakfast. I will definitely be back for sure!

ok diner but not impressed. The moment you walk in it has a real diner vibe. The waitress that took care of my table was great and funny. So let's start with my sandwich. It was no wherwhere near what you'd expect from a French dip. The meat was dry and it had a funny flavor. Almost cinnamon like. I also had to ask for gravy as it came with none. Dry sandwich, bad meat, almost no cheese. Yeah I'd say i won't be coming by anytime soon.

Pretty easy, no frills dinner. I stopped in for a quick breakfast and had the waffle deluxe, which was massive. The dish came with a Belgian waffle (obviously), sausage, bacon, and ham. I also added an order for scrambled eggs for $1.75. Because what's a waffle meal without a side of eggs? Overall the meal was pretty average. I will say that the sausage links did taste a bit rubbery, but other than that, I did not have any major complaints. My waitress was pretty much on point with everything. Is it the nicest looking diner? Nope. For the price and service, it is pretty decent.

While we were seen quickly and our server was very nice, the food was mediocre and quite bland.

Cheap prices, but not sure if I'll return. Waiter was rude and our food looked like it was dumped on our plates. Dissatisfied.

I ordered the Kale Chicken Caesar Salad, which comes with grilled chicken, kale, Caesar dressing, croutons, Parmesan cheese, and a huge piece of buttered bread. I also added grilled steak cooked medium because apparently one protein wasn't enough for me. Both the chicken and steak were flavorful, and the steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it. The salad was filling enough to feel like an actual meal rather than just something light. I also ordered the Strawberry Margarita, which was only $10 thanks to their all day, everyday margarita special. And listen, they are NOT playing with that margarita. It was strong but still tasted really good, which is exactly the balance I want from a cocktail. I ate alone and really liked the seating setup. I had a cute little booth that felt perfect for a solo diner, but it would work just as well for two people. The restaurant also has plenty of seating for larger groups, so it seems like an easy choice whether you're eating alone or coming with friends or family. The servers were attentive to me and assisted me quickly. They also checked in on me multiple times. The interior was another highlight. There's a beautiful wall covered with different pieces of artwork that adds a lot of character to the restaurant and makes the space feel much more visually interesting than your typical diner. Overall, this was a great quick meal while I was out running errands. Good food, a surprisingly strong $10 margarita, and a comfortable atmosphere for dining solo. I'd definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

We loved seeing the pastries on display in the case while we queued for the table to be ready. I had the avocado salad with chicken, and my mom opted for the salted caramel waffle and hash browns. Everything was delicious and huge portions. Our waitress was very slow and didn't check on us much at all, but the great food made up for it. Make sure to stop by here with a reservation!

Aside from that, we had a fantastic experience here at Friedmans Herald Square near Penn Station. They were playing Hilary Duff music, which was such a fun touch since they often match the vibe of whatever is happening at MSG! They even had special Hilary Duff mocktails. The atmosphere is super sweet and cozy. The restaurant was empty when we first walked in, but the second we sat down, it completely packed up! The waiter was very friendly, and even though they weren't able to split the check at the table, they did provide an itemized receipt to make figuring it out easy. The food was great overall--the Mac & Cheese bites and the corn were especially good! We also tried the cheesecake and molten cake. Plus, the neighbors sitting next to us were so sweet. Fast forward to 2026 (where I'm finally not broke as hell), the day has finally come, and I am ecstatic about stepping foot into this diner that surprisingly is still standing in 2026. The inside certainly feels like a diner, but not quite the old-school dinginess that I'm used to--it's clean. Given that it was Sunday at noon, it was very crowded in there and mainly flooded with tourist groups, but a table opened up for us pretty quickly. For a NYC diner, the menu is certainly small - this is probably done to keep tables moving faster. I got the Pastrami Hash & Eggs and it was just overdone and super oily and dry--almost as if they just refried everything except the sunnyside egg. Not gonna lie, I was very disappointed, given that I had waited for so long to come here, only to get food that was an attempt to give the staleness another chance by refrying and reheating. I actually beat myself up a little the rest of the day for finishing the whole thing, knowing that the oversaltiness was flirting with opening up some high blood pressure. It was also not moderately priced by any means (was close to $30), but I know I'm helping pay for that Midtown and proximity to Central Park pricing. Not sure if I'll return, which saddens me, but also knowing that they're part of a conglomerate at Fireman Group (and still run independently in a sense) makes total sense
