Half & half - this would easily feed 3 people, probably 4. We ordered half soy garlic (raspberry? sauce) and half chili, which was my favorite. Interesting use of fruit - my brain was confused most of the time. It's good chicken, though. Try it at least once. It really is just one guy. From slicing the fruit to checking your table out, he runs the whole show. The story is just about as good as the food. What an interesting place to be.

The service was subpar compared to what some of the other reviewers said, the owner essentially told us to pick a table and pretty much left us to our own devices. The food took a while as well--we got the half and half. The soy was alright, nothing too spectacular. The other one was some kind of sweet, cherry (?) jam thing that didn't go well with the chicken at all. It felt like it was just thrown in, and there was wayyy too much of that jam. Neither of us liked it. The whole meal wasn't worth what we paid for. Overall ambiance was okay, very dark inside contrasted by the tvs he had of kpop groups performing.

I was really fixed for some collard greens but they were not on the new menu. Like others have mentioned, portion size was surprising. I can see the correlation between some dishes and those prices and portions but black eyed peas are not expensive or hard to source. Either make that portion larger or lower the price point. We had the lamb and it was AMAZING and I didn't blink twice about the cost or potion size. The yam was DIVINE and my friend and I ate the entire thing. Literally sent a clean plate back. lol. Advanced notice you get one yam per order. We also had drinks. I cannot recall hers but I'm sober so I had the Butterfly Pea Tea drink and it was SUBLIME. Everyone was so kind and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely. I'd go back for the yam and to try a few more items.

My friend and I sat for about 15-20 minutes before being acknowledged. Another employee ended up bringing us water, and we had to flag someone down just to get a wine menu. When our server finally came over, she didn't greet us, introduce herself, or apologize for the wait. She simply asked if we had a question about the wine. As we were ordering, I asked her to describe one of the entrées because I'm a visual person and like to know what I'm getting. Instead of explaining the dish, she gave very short, rushed answers and seemed annoyed by basic questions. The entire interaction felt cold and dismissive. What really threw me off was after we placed our order. She questioned whether we were ordering enough food and asked multiple times if that was all we were getting. It felt awkward and unnecessary, especially since we were ordering exactly what we wanted. The food was good and the atmosphere was great, but the service lacked warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism. Hopefully this was just an off night. Not sure if I'll return though.

First and foremost, the hours stated on the window is different than what is listed on Yelp. They close at 9:30pm. I thought I had ample time to place an order thinking they closed at 10:15pm. But as I walked in, I saw the sign, noticed that they still had two tables filled and I asked if they had time for a take out. So happy that they took my order because check out the pics of the food I took home! I wanted something easy and something that would be popular. Keeping in mind that they were closing soon, I wanted something that they can make easily. Punjabi samosa: One order comes with three samosas. Filled with potato and peas, each samosa is perfectly crispy and mighty tasty. Garlic naan: I love their naan! I normally have naan that are fluffy and airy but their naan is thin but crispy with a chew. Very flavorful! I can easily eat a whole order. Butter chicken: wow!! So much flavor and it has a kick!! I didn't order any rice but I dipped the naan bread. I also ate it like soup and the broth/sauce was so comforting and warming! I noticed that people are placing reviews on the old business. It is no longer Masala Grill and the menu and recipes are quite different. Please check out the reviews there for more reference. Masala Grill closed towards the end of the pandemic and that location changed owners a few times. Can't wait to go back!
