Wow! This is some of the best Indian food I have had for a long time and I am so happy that it is so accessible to me! First and foremost, the hours stated on the window is different than what is listed on Yelp. They close at 9:30pm. I thought I had ample time to place an order thinking they closed at 10:15pm. But as I walked in, I saw the sign, noticed that they still had two tables filled and I asked if they had time for a take out. So happy that they took my order because check out the pics of the food I took home! I wanted something easy and something that would be popular. Keeping in mind that they were closing soon, I wanted something that they can make easily. Punjabi samosa: One order comes with three samosas. Filled with potato and peas, each samosa is perfectly crispy and mighty tasty. Garlic naan: I love their naan! I normally have naan that are fluffy and airy but their naan is thin but crispy with a chew. Very flavorful! I can easily eat a whole order. Butter chicken: wow!! So much flavor and it has a kick!! I didn't order any rice but I dipped the naan bread. I also ate it like soup and the broth/sauce was so comforting and warming! I noticed that people are placing reviews on the old business. It is no longer Masala Grill and the menu and recipes are quite different. Please check out the reviews there for more reference. Decided to run in while doing some errands. The service was phenomenal! Everything that we ordered was good. Ambiance was ok.

I had Goat Biryani here a while after they opened and it was really good. The restaurant was "A" rated (County of Los Angeles Food Safety Inspection) then, flash forward, to yesterday, and I saw a "C" Rating in the window. I've learned from reading the reports on "C" rated restaurants that you should not even consider purchasing anything from a place with that rating as they generally don't handle food safely and there is often some form of infestation. Food Safety is no laughing matter, people can die. I believe that having an Indian food restaurant in our neighborhood is great, but only if it maintains an A rating. read more

The three curries I ordered all had the same base and barely had anything of substance in them. The chana masala had a handful of chickpeas, the bhindi had a handful of okra, and the goat curry had a few pieces of goat. Most of the container was just full of curry sauce. Our go-to for spicy biryani. Taste is always reliable and the food is freshly prepared. Love their family pack biryani deal that includes a gobi 65 or gobi manchurian appetizer. Feeds 3-4 people easily. Their Indo-Chinese section of the menu is also pretty good. We used to have to go all the way to their Artesia location to enjoy their food, so we are incredibly thrilled they now have this location closer to us. With the dearth of good Indian restaurants in LA, Paradise biryani is a godsend! read more

Ate here again last night, this time we ate in the restaurant. The ambiance was nice, not super fancy but cute decor. The service was very friendly. We ordered egg Biryani, saag paneer, paneer tikka masala, naan, yogurt, and punjabi samosa. To drink I got masala chai, my husband got mango lassi. Everything was soooo good. First time ordered the Paradise Biryani - very average. Rice & chicken were very dry, almost felt stale. Strike 2 - got the Paradise Chicken Curry & Roti. There were literally 3 pieces of chicken, all very chewy, no salt in the curry. Roti was hard as a papad. Never ordering from here again. read more

Very disappointed, ordered Fish curry which says "Hyderabadi Style Fish Curry In Special Paradise Spice Mix." There was nothing special about it, the sauce seemed similar to "chicken/Paneer tikka masala", it felt fish cubes were added to the "chicken/paneer tikka masala" sauce. Finally, good Indian food in central LA for a reasonable price! We've eaten at the location in Artesia (and Hyderabad) so we're familiar with the menu. This hits the spot for fresh, authentic Indian flavors, which we've only encountered at Baar Baar (which technically is fusion) and Spice Affair (which has become very pricey and is not consistent). Excellent food. The flavours are vibrant and fresh, everything was well prepared, well seasoned and delicious. Goat Biryani was especially noteworthy with a generous portion of tender meat, perfectly cooked rice and a beautiful aroma of black cardamom and chili. The prices are very reasonable and the quality makes this a great value. I'm so glad this place opened in our neighborhood and have already been back within the first week of trying it - will definitely keep this place in heavy rotation. read more
