We ended up here after the place I wanted to go to for burger week was closed for some reason. One of my other guests suggested this place which I thought they had been to but turns out they just thought it looked good. I was wayyy to hangry to think about looking up the reviews but when we got seated I scoped out the pictures which didn't help me that much. I waited just a few minutes for the host to get us ready for a table and the atmosphere was really cool. Kind of had nightclub vibes as far as the blue and black decorum. It was very neat and clean. The waitress was nice but she made it seem like the bread for the table was scarce and they were rationing it or something. Like hmm I don't know, it may not be ready yet...It was a bit odd. We ended up getting bread which wasn't anything special but I was hungry so it could've been burnt toast and I would've buttered it up like liquid gold. I had NO idea what to get but was happy to see they had a happy hour that was from 4 to 7. Unfortunately it wasn't any of the appetizers I wanted and I didn't think the prices were happy hour like. They ranged from like $8 to $12 or so. Usually happy hour items are like $6 to $8 and with better choices. One of my guests got the Mussels which were very good but for $12 I'm not sure it was worth it. The wings were ok but again overpriced. I got the lobster bisque. I was expecting chunks of lobster in the soup from the way the waitress described it as with thick meat. There was no meat in it at all. I could definitely taste the lobster but the soup was a tad too salty and buttery. It was better sopped up with the bread. For my main entree I got the pulled pork nachos. Honestly they were good, it was a nice portion but I just wasn't feeling them after a few bites. I ended up switching cuisines with another guest who got the steak. It looked really good but she asked for it well done and got Medium rare-ish. When she sent it back for the correct temp, it came back Medium at best. We were perplexed at why well-done didn't happen. I was perplexed at how a steak that looked that good had absolutely no flavor even after adding salt. The water wasn't good and the soda was flat as well. Ironically I didn't want to pay $16 for a burger but I tasted it and that was actually pretty good. It had a nice charbroiled flavor. I wish I had gotten that. The waitress was kind of slow coming over and checking in. Our table wasn't cleared before our food came out and the server asst. had to clear our spaces while simultaneously bringing us our food. They were very kind and helpful throughout service. Overall, the restaurant is nice, they also have patio seating, and the vibe is nice for a date or just to hang out so I wouldn't immediately shut down the idea of going back. We recently found the spot with a daily happy hour, from 4 to 7, actually every single day of the week, including the weekends! That is super rare and also impressive. The staff were really friendly and very speedy. We thought we would have to wait quite a long time for a table, but there were several all around the bar and also outside too. We didn't get too many appetizers, but we could do the loaded tots which were very good, but might benefit from just a bit more cheese! We got a selection of wines and beers from the happier choices as well, and none of them disappointed. The atmosphere is very clean and well-kept, I like the decor around the bar and the selection of options to eat a full dinner seemed quite right as well. Only one small drawback (most likely due to miscommunication): We also originally thought that there was a secondary late night happy hour, from 9 PM to 10 PM, but when we arrive one weekday to take advantage of it, we were told that it had been phased out (despite the fact that it was still listed on the website and the front door). read more

I've visited this location twice during my Missouri visit which provides an understanding of what I thought of the location lol. The atmosphere and the customer service were both great and friendly. They do have a particular day of the week where they have a steak special and that was pretty good, put a good drink on the side and you have a successful mill and a successful business. So I've never heard of this place but my family wanted to have dinner here so I met them for dinner. So, there's really nothing special about this place, it reminds me of almost any other restaurant/"grill." The food was average but honestly, lacked flavor. The service was slower than I would have liked but based on the world we live in now, I'm not particularly upset about it. The ambiance was meh, it felt like a Chilis or any other major chain. This was a last minute pick due to its proximity to our hotel. We weren't disappointed, but there were things to be improved upon. We ordered the chicken and brie quesadilla and it was very different than we expected. The tortilla had a texture we didn't care for and was a bit overdone. The filling also contained grapes, which only sweetened the brie more and they kept falling out onto the plate. It was very one note. Adding some crispy prosciutto, pancetta, or even bacon would have balanced the heavy sweetness with some salt and improved the texture. My entree was Balsamic Chicken which said it was topped with marinated tomatoes and balsamic glaze. A healthy choice, but very meh. Not a lot of flavor anywhere but thr balsamic, and there was very little of that. I received a side garden salad and tomato soup as my sides. The tomato soup had a nice flavor, but needed pureed and strained better. I ended up with pulp and seeds in my teeth. It's a very heavy tomato bisque, not the tomato soup I thought I was getting. Hubs got the bacon jam burger which was very wet, sloppy, and difficult to eat. Also very sweet and needed something to balance it. He said the fries were good. My wife and I came here during brunch with no expectations. My wife really just wanted a bloody Mary so we came to this restaurant. We were seated after the fact that it would be a minute when there was probably about 100 places to sit down. So that was a little confusing on why we had to wait. Once we sat at our table, the waitress asked what we wanted to drink, came back with our drinks, asked if we need a few minutes, left for about 10 minutes, took our order, and didn't write anything down. To me that was a little crazy. We told her our order she memorized it apparently and then about 20 minutes later we got our food. I don't know if the menu changed or she put the wrong information into the kiosk, but for some reason there was like an avocado horseradish sauce that was not an ingredient listed on the menu food items that I ordered. Now, however, there was avocado that was listed and that was the reason why I wanted the California chicken. Also, I found it weird that our waitress did not bring out our food but some white dude. I asked if I could get a side of mayonnaise and mustard the guy said " sure no problem " and that dude never showed up to our table again and the waitress never caught wind that I wanted it either. I also found it weird how she's like you guys don't want the brunch like confused when we legit came there just to eat some food. I also ordered lobster bisque and at best seem like they just warmed it up in the microwave or something. It was not very hot and did not seem very fresh in my unprofessional opinion. My wife got a bloody Mary and they put a piece of bacon in the bloody Mary that piece of bacon was greasy and I'm talking like there was clumpy grease on the piece of bacon. The chicken sandwich that I had also was falling apart as I was eating it. The chicken tenders were falling out and that's another thing. There wasn't a mention of chicken tenders but chicken so I was expecting an actual piece of chicken. After about an hour, we finally saw our waitress to get our check. The waitress did absolutely the bare minimum at her job, we didn't have any refills until practically too late. And we legit only saw her four times once to see what we wanted to drink, to see what we wanted to eat, to refill our drinks, and then once to bring us our fucking check. There was hardly anyone inside of the restaurant. So like what the fuck was she doing? In my unprofessional opinion, this place is not worth your time or energy. Go far away from this place. in my 32 years of existence, this is probably the worst restaurant that I've been to. I recently was in a serious car accident in March 2024 and I would rather be in a coma again then go and deal with this place. read more

After what was close to another 10 minutes we decided we did not want to spend our hard earned money at this establishment. This was a poor choice on our part. My wife has done lunch here and said it was just OK, but this is my second dinner here, the first was a disappointment, tonight was a total disaster! Our waitress was great although she did make quite the error with our charge cards. She ran mine 2x and didn't run my friends. I ordered 2 martini'S; A bellini straw-tini and I forget the name of the second one, I'm sorry! but they were BOTH STRONG! I love me a good alcoholic drink that you can actually FEEL the drink. Wildly unpleasant dinner tonight. Ordered the chicken ladue, the kids' chicken tenders, and the balsamic chicken. The balsamic chicken was served so charred that a layer of carbon had to be cut off the top to access edible meat underneath. I tried a bite after watching my fiancé struggle and the butter knife broke off some larger pieces or carbon and left a mist of fine black powder on the plate. She left a whole chicken breast untouched and we told the waitress. She agreed that it looked burned and would tell the kitchen staff but made no attempt to refund or exchange the piece of coal. The smell that came off of it was so off putting that my son thought a baby nearby needed to be changed. He ate a little, and picked at the mashed potatoes. The chicken ladue tasted ok, but the crab seemed a bit off. I'm writing this review from my home bathroom where I suspect I will spend the rest of the night in pain. Immediately after eating I had to run off to the restaurant bathroom, not sure if I should sit down or hug a trash can first. It was clean. read more

I've been back two more times and need to remove a star. The reason for the removal is solely based on service. The service is extremely slow and at times not that attentive. On the 14th of November a group of us meet at the bar for Happy Hour. We took position at the corner making it easy for all of us to talk and to share a variety of appetizers. Our favorite appetizer as I've stated in my previous review was the Brussels Sprouts. They are totally the bomb. What was frustrating, is that we had to flag the bartender down for additional drinks/beers and to remove our empty dishes. We ordered our appetizers two at a time and when they brought the new ones out, they did not clear the empty ones. This made for a very cluttered space for us to enjoy our evening. Then on the 27th, I returned to see what their breakfast is all about. I highly recommend that they save payroll hours and stop breakfast. Or only do Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. My Monday morning breakfast at 9 AM took forever. I will say, my sweet tooth enjoyed the Zeppole aka donut holes. As my main dish, I had the Veggie Frittata. It was good, but the length of time it took to receive at my table in a practically empty restaurant was crazy. Also, the morning staff struggled making my Bloody Mary and it was not near the quality I raved about in my first review. It was weak and tasted more like a V-8 then a spicy Bloody Mary. Pulled them off my Bloody Mary list. The minor bumps I thought they'd get worked out by now, are still a struggle. The "fruit cups" had soft, browning, and almost rotten fruit in my girls meals. Went this evening Wednesday got into the restaurant and seated right away 5:55 PM our booth wall was dirty with splattered food and crayon colored on the wall. We were not impressed with the view of the drink station or the dirty wall. My husband ordered the 8oz sirloin and fries with a salad. I had the crab stuffed shrimp with squash and zucchini, mashed potatoes and Caesar Salad. The steak was tough and caused my husband to start to choke. He had to leave the table to go to the bathroom. He didn't finish the steak or take it home. My shrimp had an odd taste like smoke from a grill. My sweet wife and her friend ate here a month ago and she wanted to take me here. We live in Illinois so we wanted to run errands needed in St Louis and make it a special daytime lunch date. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking available. The service was great and fast even though they were moderately busy. We ate near the bar area which was well lit and airy. I had the Tuesday steak special dinner and my wife had a salad. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals which were prepared exactly as requested. The restaurant has a generous military discount on the 1st Tuesday of every month, which was very helpful as we are retired military. They also offer numerous Gluten Free options including pasta which is another reason we will return. The prices are very reasonable and especially so if you're ordering the specials of the day.
