We were trying to find a place to eat and I always chose so this time I decided to him pick and I must say that it was not a bad decision! I should let him chose more often! My family dined in tonight but then got me food to go as i was at home. They were out of mac & cheese, ok a bit disappointing. But then the cornbread arrived burnt! My mom called and the excuse was someone was helping out. Mistakes happen, ok you baked the cornbread too long but why on earth would you find this acceptable to hand out? Supposedly the cornbread is getting refunded, and we will be watching for the refund. Oh and I see another review from a year ago also mentions burnt cornbread. Warthog's BBQ has gone downhill big time. I ordered the moo, cluck, oink. The brisket was dry, ribs tasted a day old, chicken was pedestrian, they put the coleslaw in a container with hot foods and their corn bread was dry. This is currently my absolute favorite bbq restaurant. They have a large selection of entrees to choose from. I recommend the "Western Round Up" it will feed two adults (plus a small child, in my case) easily; it has a sampler of several meats plus 2 sides and cornbread. My personal favorite meats are the ribs and pulled pork. The beans are a little spicy but good. The coleslaw, it has a little kick to it from horseradish. The cornbread is fluffy, sweet and delish. Their berry devonshire cream pie is to die for! Oh my gosh! The people that work there range from average/courteous to really, really awesome and fun! Just depends on who you get. The restaurant looks like a log cabin with lots of mounted taxidermy animals. Having loved ones that are vegetarian, I do not recommend bringing your vegetarian friends here. read more

Hail-no..... We got two brisket sandwiches and half the meat was FAT! They slather it with bbq sauce to try to hide it. No choices of different bbq sauces to try either. Wow,stopped by in November on a recommendation from a Co worker. We work the Northwest and have done so for over 40 years. As such there are a few places that I can't wait to return to, this USE to be one of those places. I got the "ribs" with potato salad and beans as per usual. The beans had somehow spilled on to everything inside the to go carton almost as if someone had Frisbeed the container into my to go bag. Add insult to injury where I had previously received four massive melt in your mouth delicious bones these were tiny, meat-less bones with little to no flavor. Decor is very cool, sort of rustic with both indoor and outdoor seating. If you sit inside they give you little foam pads to make the wood seem softer, outside are large wood picnic tables with red and white checkered cloths on the table and the seats. Order at the counter. They have daily specials as well as a full menu and both beer and wine. Hubs and I both had the baby back rib daily special which came with a side of beans, a corn muffin and your choice of Cole slaw or potato salad. BBQ sauce is nice with a bit of spice but my ribs at home are better than these. I expect ribs to be cooked so they fall off the bone but are still moist and tender. These had neither of those attributes. Slaw and potato salad were good, corn muffin was super dry. Beans had an odd flavor, not my style. Friend had loaded mac and cheese which was a huge portion and she said good. Another had brisket which he said was very tender. We all split one of their large cookies for dessert, very dry and hard. The cost for two without alcohol was a bit over $40. Way too much for what we got. read more

After reading all the reviews, I decided to go with the pulled pork sandwich (ok - not a huge pork fan and love my swimming in BBQ sauce, which I had to go find and put on myself). I really liked the BBQ sauce. The sweet, salty fries were actually quit addicting. The beans were good but odd - HUGE pieces of ham hock and onions. Corn bread excellent. The restaurant was cute - they do their log cabin theme well inside and out. It was $14 for me and the little one. I was super excited when I walked past the joint taking my dogs for a walk. So my wife and I came back for dinner. We ordered brisket sandwiches with baked beans and potatoe salad. The sandwich was decent size but that is where the good stops. The brisket was dry, and did nit have much if any smoke taste. This made the sandwich difficult to eat because there was little to no bbq sauce on it, and they did not send us any extra bbq sauce in our to go bags. The baked beans were ok. Nothing I would order again, lacked sweetness and my wife's had four giant pieces of fat with no meat. The potatoe salad was just like grocery store generic salad. I hate writing bad reviews but this was some of the worst BBQ I've had and the service was terrible. I ordered the spicy sausage and it was so bad I couldn't eat more than one bite. It looked more like meatloaf than sausage and was incredibly dry. My dad and husband both ordered the sliced brisket and found it tough and hard to eat. Also, there were multiple problems with our order. First, one of the dishes was just plain wrong which they did fix. However, the second issue was that my husband didn't get one of his sides. When asked about it, the server just said they had already brought it out and wouldn't fix it (I think there was confusion from having to replace the wrong entree). We weren't the only ones in the restaurant that had a problem either. Who knew good bbq could be hidden in Fife. My friend and I stopped here for dinner and I was very pleased. The staff are supper friendly and the music was a surprisingly pleasant adult contemporary. I had the prime rib with mac and cheese and cole slaw. I will say the prime rib was cooked perfect it was a bit cold. The mac was tasty and the slaw had a little kick to it that I loved. So disappointed. Ordered the pulled smoked chicken sandwich 7/2 and there was one decent chunk of chicken and the rest of my sandwich basically had scraps. It was all bread and sauce. Chicken tasted old and dry. The fries were just a greasy mess! Just a pile of oil. Was it just a bad day? Man. I've never had such terrible fries before. I mean, DRENCHED! Wow. If this is what passes for barbecue in Washington state, I'll pass. I've lived all my life in Texas and Oklahoma. You might think that makes me a barbecue snob, but I'm really not. I travel for work, and I enjoy barbecue in Florida, the Carolinas, Kansas City, St. Louis, and lots of other places. They each have their own style, and that's OK. Warthog style is not OK. I only tried the brisket, but there's no need for me to go back and try anything else. There was absolutely no smoke flavor. All fat and crust had been cut off. Fat and crust are where the flavor are. I've had far better brisket prepared by a Jewish grandmother, but she had the good sense not to call brisket prepared in an oven "barbecue." The cole slaw was fair, probably a six out of ten. The sauce was OK, a little sweet for me, but not as sweet as you might get in other areas. A little more spice would be nice. I realize that everything is more expensive these days, but even considering inflation, I didn't get much food for the money. I'll give them three stars because that's their average and I don't want one visit from an out-of-towner to skew their average. If this was in Texas or Oklahoma, I would give them one star, and that would be pushing it. Sorry Warthog, but that ain't barbecue. read more

This was our first time going and I heard good and bad things about Warthogs but I wanted to try for myself and we were not disappointed. All the meat was moist and ribs were fall off the bone tender. The Sausage had a mustard based sauce that my husband didn't like plus it was a little spicy. I liked it. We had enough leftovers for another meal. We will definitely be back. It was worth the price and we will be back. I think the trick is to go early to get meat that is juicy. I'm gonna be honest with you this place was probably the best BBQ I've had since I moved from the south! I ordered a pulled pork plate with fries and baked beans and it was really flavorful and just the right amount of sauce! Wife ordered a brisket sandwich. She thought it was undercooked and needed more seasoning. The bite I had was blah. Her fries were good. I got pork ribs and was generally satisfied. Worst BBQ I've ever had my life I couldn't even finish it had to throw it away waste of money

I talked my mom into making potato salad and other bbq fixings but we needed some ribs and bbq chicken for me and roommate - we found Warthog via google and decided to give it a try. I'm happy we went with them instead of Dickey's which is literally a 2 minute walk for us. My mom got us the pulled pork and chicken plate. Both plates came with Mac n cheese, baked beans and cornbread. All amazing and DELICIOUS- I want to apologize to the "chef sweets" as my mom called him ... we couldn't make up our minds and we had her calling the restaurant back and forth on the time and what we wanted and didn't want etc... she said everyone there was nice kind and funny!
