They never came to fill my drink, added a meal onto my bill that I did not order and on top of it all, they added in the 18% gratuity with a party of 5... This is by far the best sushi place I've ever eaten at and I LOVE sushi and live in NYC where sushi is everywhere. Their sweetheart salad is divine. We shared it and almost had a chopstick war over the last bite. All sushi dishes were amazing, especially the snowball. My parents are regulars and as we entered we were greeted with such warmth. The service is amazing and all waitstaff is so wonderful. And lastly- the price!! For ten of us, with numerous appetizers and entrees we paid $186!!!!! First time visit and what an absolute treat. There are not many "perfect" meals that come to recent memory, but this will be added quickly to the list! We live in the Warwick area and driven past a number of times. I'm so glad we chose this place this evening! Nime chow, so delicious. Salad with ginger dressing, perfect portion to get your appetite rolling. We chose the sushi and sashimi dinner for 3 (for our party of 3) which to our surprise gets delivered to you on a boat! Absolute beautiful presentation, quality and taste were spot on. Some reviews mentioned poor service, but we found quite the opposite! Our server was friendly and personable, making some excellent recommendations. We were greeted by the owner, I believe, who checked in on us while dining and wished us a pleasant evening upon leaving. Went there tonight for take out. The crab rangoons are ridiculously small and you only get 6 in an order. It wouldn't be a bad thing but they are TINY. Also, they probably are the worst tasting crab Rangoons I have ever tried. They had a foul taste to them plus the cream cheese was all melted to liquid on the inside. Terrible experience. The woman who was acting as the hostess/owner was the most unfriendly and useless person I have ever met. The servers were clearly busy and had more tables than they could handle and she sat there the entire time watching HGTV and texting. It took over 20 minutes just to get a water and our food didn't come out for about 45 minutes and when it did it was awful. The decor is the best ive ever seen and the service is fantastic...its unfortunate the best sushi place in RI is in a drab strip mall other than chilis and the big stores around the corner, otherwise this place would be out the door. Three words: Sushi Happy Hour It's the only redeeming quality of this restaurant, unfortunately. Go at the right time and it's all (or nearly all) sushi 1/2 price! I come here to get my sushi fix when I don't want to break the bank. It's not worth paying full price for their sushi anyway, though. Believe me when I say that's the only reason I come here. I've had a number of negative experiences with the hostess, who has bad English skills and more importantly is just flat out rude. The waitresses are generally nice, though. The decor is meh, although there are private rooms behind curtains which are kind of cool. They play this awful (Japanese?) pop music which makes me embarrassed for the restaurant when I think about it too much. The sushi menu is alright. You have the basics (tuna, salmon, eel, etc.) and then a host of special rolls. Almost all the special rolls have liberal amounts of spicy mayo. I've ordered a number of them and they all end up tasting the same - spicy mayo. Don't get anything with "wasabi sauce" on it unless you like dish washer fluid. If you stick to simple rolls and mainly fish you can get a huge amount of sushi for a great price. The rest of their menu is overpriced and subpar - don't bother. Also don't bother coming here if it's not sushi happy hour - that's where all 3 stars come from. read more

I tried out the place shortly after it opened. I think this is owned by the same folks as own another Wasabi in Johnston. First, despite the name, this is NOT a Japanese restaurant. Tip-off: the rice is long-grain Chinese style. Another tip-off: the folks who work there were speaking Chinese. Anyway, I ordered shrimp tempura. Although it was reasonably tasty, it clearly wasn't authentic. The veggies seemed to be freshly battered and fried. However, I'm willing to bet that the shrimp were prefab frozen. They weren't battered like the veggies, but instead were covered in panko and seemed to be all the same size and shape. Next time I crave Japanese food, I'll go to Haruki instead. read more

We went pretty late 9pm and got a private booth, which was great considering some of the rolls are huge and shoving them in your mouth is something you don't want to share with the whole restaurant. Even though we ordered 8 rolls we didn't wait long for our food, but we did go late and it wasn't that busy. 8 rolls for 3 people was way too much food! We were stuffed! Wasabi was good for what it is. Half of sushi at a certain time making it easy to grab a bunch of different rolls to try. Stopped in for takeout and the very friendly staff that asked us if we want a drink at the bar while we waited for our food. This area of Rhode Island is full of Sushi restaurants. This restaurant definitely is the top of their class when you compare it to the other Sushi restaurants in the area. One way that I distinguish if a Sushi restaurant is good is the temperature of the sashimi at time it is placed in front of me. The colder it is, the better it is to me. Also if the texture has good consistency and it is not mushy. Almost every time I have eaten at this restaurant, the sushi more than meets my expectations. The Manager is very friendly and always takes the time to see how things are going. He also makes a killer Scorpion Bowl! I did have one experience on an extremely busy night when they first opened that was not great. The sushi came to me warm. I believe it was because it sat in the window for a good 5-10 mins. The manager came over after seeing I hadn't eaten much and gave me a gift card. Every time after that, the food has been fantastic. The service is great especially if you sit at the bar. The atmosphere is good. The lighting is dim and they have great little enclosed booths. If you want a decent priced place for sushi and Japanese cuisine, I suggest this place. Nice atmosphere. Cute, private booths. Clean and a little kitschy. They had some of the most amazing rolls. Patriot and Ninja rolls were fantastic. Unbelievable flavor and quality. Black Dragon and Chicken roll were also good. My vegetarian friend loved the veggie teriyaki. No soda refill was a bit disappointing. When you spend over $100 you expect to get five cent worth of soda free. Me and my colleague went to this place on a weekday evening looking for some Thai food. Surprisingly, there was none though they claimed to be serving Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. We were being experimental so though of scrolling through the menu and asked the server (a weird lady) to help us with some vegetarian options. She was so brash and rude with her replies and left us wondering how this place could have attracted so many reviews with such distasteful hosting. She went to the point of being arrogant when we asked her to repeat whatever order we placed (after figuring out ourselves what the menu consisted of after her constant bickering if we needed more minutes to decide our order) that we decided to just cancel the order and leave the restaurant right away. We were expecting at the least a polite behavior towards whatever questions we had - instead of being impatient and rude.
