They also have chicken tenders and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. I had the classic burger with regular fries and a side of onion rings. This is my first time here and it's also their first week open. I ordered the classic burger and fries and a drink. When it came out the flies were golden brown and crispy with that delicious fluffy inside. I found a burger to be really delicious and juicy, it wasn't the run-of-the-mill all dried up Burger that you get from Are the restaurants this thing was juicy and the bun was nice and soft which is a nice touch. If I could give negative stars best bet I would.. I ordered online from them off doordash. Bag was completely sealed with stickers you would have to rip off to tamper with. When I received my food and started eating, i got about half way before something hard & sharp hits my teeth tongue, and roof of my mouth.. I pull it out of my f****** mouth and it's small sharp metal object looks like a staple.. I work in the food industry and have for 6+ years and this would NEVER happen where I work at any of the restaurants. If you care about what you're cooking and who you are feeding you will never let that happen. When I called to complain about it, the manager was a total piece of scum, and does not know how to manage a business whatsoever. She had no sympathy for me almost choking (which I could've been seriously injured) on a sharp piece of metal & instead she said we don't use staples here at all.. and as I'm trying to explain my situation she hangs up the phone.. so that shows your the professionalism they practice.. lol.. & I have a damn photo of it. I don't know what it is but it was inside of my burger meat.. so I will definitely be taking this to the safety department services of washoe county. Any restaurant perfectly okay with giving customers tampered and unsafe food should not be in business.. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO FIND FOREIGN OBJECTS IN YOUR FOOD. "Someday I'm going to try that place," I've told myself for way too long. I'm not normally a picky person, except when it comes to hamburgers. There are only two places in Reno where I will order a burger. I am THAT picky when we're talking ground beef on a bun. Well, now there are three places in town for me to get a burger I like. The double patties were freeform (not pressed to denseness in a machine) and a bit pink in the center, just the way I like them. The cheese was generous, and the kind that actually melts and runs down the side of the patty (think Velveeta). There is no better comfort food, in my opinion, than Tater Tots. The crispier, the better. These were "the better". At $14, my meal was just a couple of dollars more than a fast food combo, but there was no comparison in quality. I will definitely be back for the food. And I will most definitely return for the service. My meal was ready in five minutes. I arrived just before the lunch rush so I had time to study the menu before ordering. I must say "kudos" to whomever hired Logan, the young man serving at the counter. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and very patient with all my questions. I didn't expect to be so pleased with a food court meal, but the surprise was on me. My son's burger, I believe it was called the Rodeo burger, actually tasted pretty good... but there were two thin, very small onion rings that didn't even cover half of the burger. We have been here a couple of times and it is quite good, especially for being in a mall at a food court. The service is pretty quick and the portion sizes are what you would expect. It isn't cheap but you do get a pretty good burger and can choose pretty much exactly what you want on it. I thought their signature sauce was very good and would definitely recommend that you at least try it. It does add another dimension to the burger. I ordered food from this place today for the 2nd time and the food was not only WRONG but BURNT and the customer service was HORRIBLE!!! I called to let them know that I was not satisfied. The good ol' burger. When you can't decide on lunch, you can always go back to a burger. Everyone has their preferences to what a good burger is. Some love it slather in the most unhealthiest of ways and others love it fresh and light. I am kind of the middle kind of guy and Wayback does it for me. It doesn't do me justice in the wallet and it being in the mall, that's frequent by teens or parents of teens who just emptied their checking account for school shopping, Halloween, and Christmas, I'm sure this high priced burger will do the same to theirs. Let say though that this joint was in Midtown, Somersett, or the Summit, it would fair better. I thought about docking a point for price but I won't. It's not horribly priced compare to what I normally pay for lunch and this review is from me, not a teen spending their allowance. Burger is fresh and juicy. Cooked medium with a hint of pink (perfect in my eyes). I hate over cooked burgers. Ingredients tasted fresh. At first glass, I thought the burger was small for it's size but the double patty did it's job. The Irish nachos was a nice change of pace from the traditional fries although they got those too. Overall, if you're watching your bank account, you should swipe left, you're not going to fall in love here. You'll gripe and moan and start to compare it to other burger joints. Otherwise, if you don't pay attention to what's in your account and just enjoy a delicious meal, a good time could be had here. read more

Custom order 1/3 pound with bacon, pepper jack etc..... combo meal $10 bucks. Not cheap but not steep. Burger was well above average and had that Great crunchy crust. Ummmmm Not a big burger just good, ok with me for lunch. Seemed fresh and cooked to perfection! Fries solid and all n all pretty good......will definitely stack up to any under $10 burger and I would go back for another try next time there. Four stars. Wish we could give a 0 star. First our order of 3 items took about 20 minutes to come out. It was not that busy either. The grille cheese was cold and bread wasn't even stuck to cheese. Fries were cold and brittle. Chicken tenders came out looking like chicken nuggets and the cheese steak sandwich was extremely dry. The remake of the grille cheese had 2 ham bun tops upside down with 3 cheese slices hardly melted. The remake of the chicken tenders looked about the size of steak fries. We were so upset we ended up throwing the food away. Should have taken pictures. When my husband went to complain Robin couldn't care less and said they were trying to take care of other customers orders which was the excuse for not putting effort into making the food. I wish I did not even have to give 1 star. Absolutely the rudest and nastiest people in Reno. I tried to order a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich wth fries and a drink I paid extra for a large Coke. The picture on the menu board did not say the sandwich had American Cheese (I am allergic to yellow cheese). I immediately took the uneatten and touched sandwich asking for it to be remade with a white or Provolone cheese or no cheese at all. The staff refused to remake it and said they would refund me half of my total. I said that was unacceptable and I wanted a full refund since I had not touched either my fries or sandwich. The staff called the manager or owner who screamed, yelled, and berated me over the phone. I told I did not care a rat's ass and asked for my money back in full. This foul mouthed pig threatened to have security and the police escort me out of the building. I left with no food and no money. This place is a horrible example of the customer is always right and good customer service. I even tried calling their corporate office repeatedly with no return call. If this had happened at McDonalds I would have been fired for rude customer service. My customer is king there but at this place the customer is someone to humiliate and steal from. read more

I am at the mall M-F as I use public transportation to go to work. I decided to try Wayback Burgers. I ordered the classic which is double burger and cheese. You basically build your own so I added lettuce, tomato, American cheese, pickles, mushrooms, and added extra blue cheese spread. You are not charged extra for items which is great! I wasn't hungry enough to try deep fried mac n cheese although am curious about. I will say it was pretty darn good. The buns are awesome, wonder where they get those from? I think I would have enjoyed my burger better with mayo and mustard as the blue cheese spread is an upscale dressing. It was tasty but a little messy and not a normal crumbled blue cheese. I viewed the menu and they have a number of options... Chicken, cod and sourdough sandwiches. I will go back. I will say plan to spend 7 bucks atleast for a burger. Remember all the fixings are free that's definitely a plus. I also want to add the the customer service was exceptional, that's another reason why I will be back, plus damn I need to try those Mac n cheese bites. So, my son is the pickiest eater EVER and DESPISES any type of cheese or hamburgers. He chose to try this burger place, Wayback Burgers, shocked beyond my core, I gave in and thought, what the heck, worst case he hates it and it's a waste of money. Well....he stuffed his face with the Cheeeesy burger and French fry combo. He stated and I quote, "Mom, this is the best cheeseburger I have ever had!" I was flabbergasted.
