Food at Weber Grill is consistently good at various locations. This trip, however, the side dishes were cold. Server remedied that by bringing fresh items. Although she was nice, the server was forgetful with items. I was surprised by the small celebration cake for my birthday. It was an unexpected little previously frozen cake. Okay the food was great up until I noticed a hair under my steak... we had a nice waiter and the manager was super nice too. He took care of it and took it off our bill. I used to really like the Weber Grill. You could come in and order a great BBQ combo of brisket, chicken, etc. The menu has changed and the combos are gone. That leaves me with ordering the meatloaf which I pair with Weber's Backyard Brew (made by Pollyanna Brewing). Staff can be slow here. I realized that they have to leave the dining room and walk across the lobby to the bar to get your drinks. That's a bad setup. Anyway, the COVID nonsense modifications are actually pretty good. They have plexiglass between booths which actually give you privacy. I come here once or twice a year. Overall it's good. read more

Last night we went to see a great musical at Tru Lane. We saw Cinderella with our friends the Canalini's and the Weber grill is our go to restaurant every time we go to Joy Lane I had what I always have there which is their barbecued meatloaf it's a huge portion probably 3/4 of a pound they give you three slices they approximately quarter pound each And you get mashed potato or vegetables get two sides with it I chose green beans and spinach they give you pretzel rolls to begin the meal and they put a big water bottle on the table to refill your proximately 5 ounce glasses. This is a great place. My wife had the halibut, and she said it was terrific and our friends the Canalini had pizza, everybody always thoroughly enjoys this restaurant it's clean it's pretty and there's no doubt this is an easy five star the servers are all genial and very nice. Last night we had server Sheila was a lovely lady did a great job we've had Moe we've had many different servers and we've come to know them and like them. read more

I'd actually give 3.5 stars but I will round up. The good news about this place is that the food was great. No problem with that. The bad news is that it was a chaotic atmosphere in the front of house seating people, the kitchen (which is an open floorplan right by the entrance) and especially in the dining room. Some of the hosts at the front seemed very frantic, which could have been due to the busy night. Food was delivered to the wrong table at least 6 times tonight, and most of the two person tables they had out for Valentine's Day were very wobbly. We will go back due to the great food, but the overall service, outside of our own server, needs work. read more

I was really surprised as we arrive during the week at what is normally a lunch hour. It wasn't crowded at all. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is clean and the service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the brisket plate with mashed potatoes, baked beans, and my wife and I shared an order of mac & cheese. Everything was prepared to perfection and delicious. My wife enjoyed the fish tacos. Everything was about 50 bucks.Definitely worth a try! read more

I used wander into Weber Grill for the occasional cocktail. I would occasionally dine there, but never had anything great. Initially, I thought Weber Grill would be hot dogs, hamburgers, ribs and coleslaw. Oh no, my friends - this is upscale and fine dining. A hamburger is $16. A steak or chop; steakhouse prices (think Gibson or Wildfire. For the Bears Packers debacle I ordered two appetizers, steak skewers and asparagus. It was excellent. Tania, the bartender provides attentive service and brightens the room. My one request or criticism is that at Weber's price point I cannot become a regular. Pretty disappointing. Things moved slowly-food was good enough, but the signs were palpable that the place was hurting: -one bartender/manager((?) told our server to charge us for a drink we had already bought at the bar; -when questioned on a bill charge regarding steak, they brought out a menu with totally different prices - we called them out and told them we knew that wasn't the menu from which we ordered-they reluctantly admitted it that it was next week's menu, but it was a sad statement all around - not only cuz they tried to pull a fast one but also because apparently my entree was about to go up in price next week. Also, the server kept insisting on charging us more $ if I didn't get spinach w my mushrooms as a steak side (on a $40 entree.) Was just kind of shameless and uncomfortable all around. read more

Excellent food, but the service is even better! Everyone in this restaurant is so friendly and helpful. Our waiter Tyler remembered I came in with my wife two weeks prior and remembered my son from our last visit. Other waiters came by to say hi to my infant son and it really made his day (he loves it when people wave at him). Tyler also did an awesome job refilling drinks and getting us sauces to try out, which my brother really appreciated. I really was really torn between two dishes and Tyler suggested I try the Pattie Melt. It was easily one of the best burgers I have ever eaten and his suggestion was right on the money. On my previous visit i tried the meatloaf and it was fantastic as well. Overall, this is an awesome restaurant and we will be coming back. read more

Meat deliciousness. Weber Grill has some tasty steaks. I'm always pleased with the food here. Service can be a bit odd sometimes, but the food is good enough to deal with it. We made reservations for 7:15pm. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks because we had arrived about 30 minutes earlier. My sangria was decent and I was surprised at the size of the glass. I was entertained while sitting at the bar, not because of the television, but because of the chaos going on behind it. It just seemed that everyone was disoriented and fending for themselves. One of the workers even accidentally "Hulk-ed" a piece of the bar right off. Yeah. That was in everyone's way for a while. After the semi-odd bar experience, we were seated at our table. Except our table was not clean. The waitress was flustered and blamed it on the hostess and started furiously wiping it down. We can deal with that too so it wasn't a problem. We had decent service the rest of the evening. Our food was delicious. The appetizers were great. My French onion soup was savory and full of flavor. I will say that the meat sampler is a bit overpriced for the size of the portions that you get. Also, I would have preferred a slaw type garnish over the soggy onion strings they included. The steaks have such a great smoky taste to them. My steak and my husband's burger were both cooked perfectly. We ended with crime brûlée and it was your standard higher end chain restaurant dessert. I like Weber Grill. The food redeems the quirky service. Though, If you're going out for a really special meal, you may be annoyed at these kind of slight grievances. Absolutely awful. The service was slow. I mean slow. It took almost an hour just for appetizers and then another hour or for our main meal. Then the orders were not correct and not great. Lacked flavor, poorly cooked, small portions for sides, and poor quality. You are paying high prices for something you could get better at a Red Robin or local chain restaurant. I had the salmon here and Olive Garden was better. We went with a larger group and all of us barely ate due to the quality. The restaurant needs updating and had paint peeling everywhere. I love weber products, so I decided to give this place a try. As I walked in, the first sign I noticed was on the dress code which made me a bit uncomfortable (I was wearing casual shoes shirt and a t-shirt). But I noticed others who weren't "dressed the part". I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and I specifically asked to get the BBQ on the side instead of on the burger. Instead I got my burger with BBQ in it and BBQ sauce on the side. I didn't care for the sweet sauce, but the burger (although too much bread) was good. I didn't care for the chips and when I was done, I felt I could eat something else. So I ordered the wings and at the price it was over $2.00/wing, But that wasn't my biggest disappointment. I took a bite; the skin was ok, but the meat seemed like it was either old or not cooked long enough and it was pretty tough. The server asked the usual: "how is everything?". So I explained, but he didn't seem surprised nor willing/able to solve this issue just "I'll let the cook know". I previously met an actual WEBER manufacturing employee (NOT a restaurant employee) and he implied that the company was trying to distance itself from the restaurant side. After yesterday, I can certainly see why. I'm not a cook, but I can make better food than that which is a shame. I think their chef must have been on vacation. We went for lunch. My husband ordered French onion soup and a Caesar's salad. The soup had a wierd spicy aftertaste. And the dressing on the Caesar salad was just okay. I ordered the chicken salad. The ranch dressing was watered down with no discernible flavor. Chicken had no flavor. It's an ok dining experience overall but nothing outstanding. I've been by the place many times and always thought I should try it. Then a business associate comes into town and suggests it and why not. The décor is nice although starting to look a little dated but still warm and inviting. The waiter was pretty good for the most part, although at one point my associate asked where he was as it had been awhile after we got drinks that he came by to take our food order. I had the beef brisket which was very tender and tasty. He had the filet which he enjoyed and the other associate had crab cakes which she liked a lot. All in the all the food was good but for the price point the expectation is for more taste. The portions are fine. As I said in the beginning, it's a decent experience. This place is huge. The food was pretty good but the service was horrible. It ended up being so horrible that we've all got a good laugh out of it and have stories to tell now. So that's why it's 2 stars and not 1. I gave up on waiting for my baked potato and ended up asking them to box it up for me to take back to the hotel. I'm a guy who will put up with bad service in exchange for great food and good prices. I wasn't paying but if I was I wouldn't go back. This was our first time here. Our waitress was very nice & attentive and the food was okay! I ordered the Brick Chicken Verde which hardly had any green salsa on it but it wasn't bad. Nothing fancy. Took my son after high school graduation with other family n friends. Made reservation for Party of 10 but dwindled to 7. No problem it was during lunch Saturday. Restaurant was not crowded we were seated immediately after our restroom runs. Ordered the appetizer sampler. The ribs were delicious, chicken bland and Shrimp over cooked. For my meal I ordered beef brisket with ribs on side. Those were NOT the same as the sticky ribs on the appetizer tray they were just ok. Not enough smoke, almost a boiled taste. The beef brisket was good and tender. No drinks for me, the water was plenty. Almost everyone else ordered burgers. My son said his burger was better the next day. "Leftovers". Music was kinda loud for lunchtime. Waiter was attentive. Overall We had a great family outing celebrating my son. read more

I still like the food. The first visit we dined outdoors, but we noticed indoors was very cold. Today we found out why they keep the temperature at a most uncomfortable temp. Because of the grills. I can understand that it gets hot in that area, but do the patrons need to suffer because of this? How about a separate zone for that area so the patrons can be comfortable while dining indoors? If I think cooking on a Webber grill I think big chunk of meat and a potato. Not a small piece of steak with some artsy fartsy sauce on it. Then the waiter doesnt write down the order and subsequently screwed it up. Now we dis get the right thing to take home but that was even screwed up. Everything is pretty much ala carte now so the steak and a side is really pricey. Ribs were subpar at best. So that being said I would NOT recommend this restaurant. read more

Okay. I'll be honest. I'm not a big fan of Weber Grills. Something about the shtick of the giant grill outside, and the whole "meat is everywhere" theme is really not my style. But on a recent sunny afternoon- this Weber Grill made my day. It was a picture perfect Summer's day in Chicagoland. We decide that work had dealt us the last blow and it was time to escape- have a couple of drinks outside and blow off some steam. The patio at this Weber Grill is lovely. It is located in the back overlooking a retention pond which on this day had blue herons, ducks and even a fisherman entertaining us during our meal as the sun shone down brightly. And if you squint- you can almost block out the traffic speeding by on 22nd Street (Butterfield Road) in the distance. The sun was shining and vodka and lemonades were quickly being consumed and our server couldn't have been nicer (although he was having a bad day too). Too bad he couldn't sit down with us and have a drink or two! We ordered a couple of appetizers and then the specials of the day which were a pulled pork sandwich and a specialty burger. Both were great and I loved that the BBQ sauce was offered on the side and that it had a nice vinegary tang to it. But the real treat came when the server made us an ice cream sundae (usually reserved only for the kids), knowing we had had a bad day. That in itself, put this visit over the top. Great for a causal dinner or lunch. The prices are reasonable and if you can go in the Summer, ask to sit outside- so much nicer than the steakhouse atmosphere of the dining room! And maybe if you tell them you had a bad day- you'll get ice cream too! read more

From the makers of the Weber Grill comes open flame meals. I chose the Beef Brisket entree for lunch today prepared smoked style with Hickory BBQ Sauce. Thank you for the side of BBQ sauce for dipping. Totally made my day, dunking the brisket like a mad man. Meat was flavorful and seasoned just right. The baked beans alone was incredible. I mean seriously, how perfect was the blend of bacon and spices. If I could I would have ask to serve it in a cup. As you walk in you notice to the right a bar area for catching a sporting event on the tube and drinking beer. To the left is the sit down aspect of the restaurant more a family style. "Smokey Joe's": The reason I go to Weber now. There's usually never a wait when I go and I like the laid back atmosphere. Out of all the times I've been to Weber I have never sat in the dining room. Isn't that unbelievable? No matter who I go with I always get the spinach and artichoke dip. The cheese is melted perfectly around the spinach and it's topped with an artichoke heart and some sour cream, served with warm grilled pita bread. Scrumptious! You could have this as a meal if you wanted. Most of the time I build my own burger from the BYOB menu, instead of their 10 oz. burger they make you a 5 oz. burger. It's just perfect after stuffing your face with the dip. I add the shoe string fries to go with that. Everything on the Smokey Joe menu is a la carte but inexpensive. I've never complained about the service, the servers are very friendly, but the last time we waited for our food for over 30 minutes! Now come on, that's just recockulous. The manager came to deliver our food and apologized that it took so long "we were taking care of the gluten free food". Well how nice of you making the gluten free people wait. Since the bartender was our waiter we had to wait a while to get our drinks filled. I'll let it pass though, since every other time the service has been outstanding. read more

When deciding where to eat last night, my momma said she wanted to eat at the place with the big grill in the front. I knew exactly where she was talking about. I have passed this place so many times but have never actually eaten there. So I figured, why not? As soon as I walked in, the charcoal smell was very apparent in the restaurant. I loved it. It smelled like summer time barbecue....but in the winter. I found the restaurant very cozy as well. The unfinished look of the ceilings, the dark wood, and the dim lights all were very synergistic. Our server was very friendly. He appeared very enthusiastic and comfortable with all of what the restaurant had to offer. It's nice to have someone who knows the menu just so they can make recommendations and explain what each entree entails. For appetizer, we got the spinach artichoke dip. The dips was phenomenal. Real artichoke in there. And it was served with pita. I decided to order salmon with a side of cole slaw which were very clean, light, and delicious. I was also able to try the seasonal pasta and bistro steak. I really enjoyed those flavors too. I also am a big fan of their pretzel bread - a different take on bread. Very soft and tasty. All in all, very good experience here. I like their style and unique takes on food. Whenever my bank account allows for it, I will be coming back. read more
