I have to admit I'm a bit shocked by this rating. A friend and I stopped by last night for dinner about 7:30. Many of the other nearby places were an hour wait. We walked right in. Service was okay but slow. Not for the meal but just to service the table. Both of us ordered a burger with mushrooms and cheese and fries. I wanted medium rare and she wanted medium. Both were over cooked. They actually looked the same - medium well. No pink at all. We each had 1 cocktail and the bill was $80 with tip. I won't run back here for sure. read more

I'm from out of town and have to travel a lot for sports. I've been to a lot of restaurants from all over, and I can tell you right now this is one of the best restaurants I've been to. Service was absolutely amazing. They provide the right amount of service, they didn't hover over you and asked the right amount of questions. Burgers, salads, vegetable kabob, and the beer can chicken we're absolutely amazing. They literally give you half of a chicken for the beer can chicken. I dined at Weber Grill two weeks ago. It was a Saturday night. I walked in and saw about 7 of the staff members just standing behind the counter talking and laughing. One girl in the middle said hello. We waited a few minutes because the hostess had to finish her personal conversation with the staff member which was standing next to her. The hostess asked us to follow her. She wanted to seat us a four top table next to the service station. I asked her if we could have a booth instead. She said there are no booths available. I quickly saw four empty booths and pointed to a corner booth. She saw said they have to clean it. I said I have no problem waiting for it to get cleaned up. She said to follow her back to the front. She was annoyed that I asked for a booth. We waited a long time before she sat us again. Meanwhile the row of staff in front we're talking, leaning on the counter while looking at their cell phones. I was upset because they were not busy. Seriously, she couldn't get someone to clean one table or even herself for that matter. I kept wondering where is the manager. We later realized that the manager was in the hallway as we walked into the restaurant on his phone. He was stressed out in his phone. It sounded like a personal issue he was having. The food was ok. Nothing like it used to be but with inflation I understand and won't question it. Such a great restaurant it once was. It's clearly not in good hands. When customers walk in they see these things. Why have so many people doing absolutely nothing in the front? Also, the hostess never sat us in the corner booth. It was just two of us. Due to her great ego, she sat us in one of those crescent moon booths which should have been saved for a larger group. That corner table was cleaned towards the end of our dinner. Lots of staff but greater incompetence! They don't care because it's not their restaurant. They could care less about any details which is truly sad and shameful. Cool restaurant. Great atmosphere. Sort of an upscale steak house feel with a touristy twist. I had a burger, can't remember the name, but it had crispy onions, and was cooked perfectly. It really did taste like a burger I would have grilled at home with a little more sophistication. Waiter was just meh... He started off friendly and then was just short and impatient. We just had the best Valentine's day dinner...and maybe best dinner ever, or maybe I am just in a food comma of bliss. The lady at the front door with the bright red lips was so friendly, and got us seated right away, even though we were for the first time ever, early for our reservation. We started off with the Wedge Salad and French Onion soup. The FOS was to die for!! No idea what cheese they use, but yum! For our entree we went big, and ordered the Tomahawk Steak to share. I went there for our annual office Christmas dinner and the food was fantastic...the ambiance was nice and cozy and the inside decor was so beautiful and festive. We had 2 waiters take care of us and the service was on point..they were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed...now on to the food...I had the surf and turf and it was so awesome...the steak was so tender the knife went through it like butter. It also came with big beautiful shrimps and garlic mashed potatoes and spinach...to die for! I would definitely recommend this spot for good food and service. read more

We didn't feel very formal, wanted the happy hour specials, and wanted a good meal, so we decided to sit in the bar. They have big comfy booth seating and the staff didn't forget about us as sometimes happens when you're not in the dining room. The bartender totally took care of us when we were confused about the happy hour specials and were super polite and fun. They drinks that were offered as special price were described exactly the same as the full price drinks on the menu - confusing marketing! We figured it out and enjoyed completely. Visited Weber Grill yesterday to celebrate a birthday and the experience started on a very sour note due to our server. Our server was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Upon us taking a seat in the bar area we asked him (our server) if it was ok if we sat here and he responses "I guess" and throws the menus on the table. As he huffed and puffed. Then we went to the other waiters and bartenders and talked crap about us as the other 2 keeps looking over at our table. As we waited for the rest of our party we started to think about just going to yard house. But, some how we lucked up and got a new server! This served was extremely nice and responsive! I mean the prior server set the bar pretty low so anything was better then him. I did inform the manager - who seem to actually make excuse for the server. He explained his concern with the server and justified his attitude as if that's his daily disposition. The manager even explained that a previous party complained about him as well. I will never visit Weber grill again. I have plenty of options for a great steak in the Chicagoland area. read more

This was only my second time here. It had been years, since I ate here. I pass this location every day. Grilled food, is always a delicious option. So I decided to use my $20 reward for lunch. I ordered a burger, pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries for both. Which I did not care for the shoe string fries. The burger, and pulled pork sandwich was delicious! I didn't give it 5 stars, not because of the food. But, because the to go service option was not organized, and service was slow. However, I will dine in and do to go again in the future. read more

We ended up asking the waiter if they were coming bc we waited nearly over a hour FOR SALAD. I ordered the salmon salad, as my friend did. The salmon was not good. Don't order this. Our other friend had the chopped salad- it was fine. Nothing great. Had ordered another round of glasses of wine, which once again I had to go out to the waiter station to ask if they were coming as it was well over 30 mins waiting for a glass of wine. Walking into Weber Grill Restaurant, I was greeted by their outstanding hostess. They gave a great big smile and accommodated, my girlfriend and I, to our seats in no time. Our waiter, Tom, was exceptionally great. He was constant with checking up on us and treated us with respect. My girlfriend and I order a Wood-fired Crab cake which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. On the other hand, my filet mignon... not so much. I had ordered the 10 oz steak to be cooked at medium rare. Instead, my steak was cooked almost rare and was inconsistently cooked. I had a great experience, but the food was mediocre. read more

I hadn't been here in many years. We were looking for a quick, late(ish) dinner, so decided to try Weber's. It was a weeknight, past peak dinner hour, so there was no waiting. Service was great. Since we were eating late, we decided on side salads, an appetizer, and split a burger between us. I had the Caesar salad. Not quite as fresh as I would like, but not too bad. Taste was good. We also tried the Weber FireStarter Sampler, which includes two samples each of BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Grilled Honey Dijon Chicken Skewers, Lemon Garlic Shrimp, Grill-Seared Steak Skewers. All of them were good. No complaints, but the Steak Skewers were the highlight. The beef was very tender and quite tasty. The burger probably would have been better had it not been ordered medium well, but my companion didn't like the sound of "all pink throughout" when the server described how Medium would be. (She's not a fan of rare sounding beef). The burger turned out rather dry and not so great. There are so many places to find a decent burger these days, I'd be hesitant to recommend it as a burger destination due to price. But it was a nice quiet atmosphere (remember, mid week, after peak hours, so YMMV). We found it relaxing and enjoyable. read more

Huge restaurant that was extremely busy on a Friday night. We had a reservation, but I heard others quoted a 40 minute wait for a table. The main dining hall was very noisy and packed with tables- it was difficult to navigate without bumping into tables and chairs. The beer list was the best part- lots of options for all types of beer drinkers. Food was just okay. I had the kettleburger and it was kinda meh- I ended up leaving most of the overwhelming ciabatta roll. I wasn't impressed with the dry and salty parmesan fries that came with it, either. Well, a bit disappointing this evening. As usual we had to wait, even with reservations, but that's always been our experience here. Let's start with bread - we had bread plates and saw baskets of bread walking by, but nothing for us. I finally asked if we could get some bread - our server said, "absolutely", and then went on to explain that they no longer automatically bring it, and the server can't offer it either; they were finding too much waste. So, lesson 1: if you're not shunning carbs and want to enjoy some deliciously warm pretzel rolls, you'd better speak up. Two people in our party were anxious for a nice, thick pork chop as they had remembered from a past visit. There was a pork loin on the menu with the following description: Pork Milanesa boneless Duroc pork loin, guacamole, guajillo salsa, pickled onions, corn tortillas. They queried our server, Tyra, as to whether they could just get the pork without all the "stuff" and she explained that it was all on the side so not to worry. Initially pleased with that option, they were very disappointed when their meal was delivered and it was more like a pork schnitzel - thin and breaded. While they both said it was good, it wasn't what their mouth was watering for. Isn't this place known for their grilling? Miscommunication on the expectation of a grilled piece of pork and based on the discussion probably something that should be stated on the menu or mentioned by the server. What if one have had a gluten intolerance? Talk about waste - that would have gone straight back to the kitchen. On a bright note, one of our party exclaimed that he'd walk there for the French onion soup, it was that delicious (although the meals were delivered about 5 minutes after the soup so the timing was bad). My gulf shrimp Waldorf salad was also scrumptious. So many options for good food in that area though, that after a mediocre experience I'm sure it will be a long while before we circle back again. read more

2 stars because the food was okay, and because things happen. However, our current visit was an absolute disaster. Our server was definitely distracted/ care-free. Is this a Michelin star restaurant? No, but it is also not Steak n Shake. Our server didn't introduce himself, he didn't offer drinks until after 15 minutes, he also unapologetically forgot to put in our order. The cherry on top was that after one hour of waiting for our entrees, we asked for refills of our drinks. When the drinks came back, one of our glasses had a lipstick mark on it. Did we get someone else's glass? Did we get a dirty glass? Given the current circumstances (our friend COVID), we were horrified. We inform our server. He looks at my lips to see if I had lipstick. Luckily my mask was on and I was ready to go. The manager comes to our table and politely apologizes. We were docked $25 off the bill (which in my opinion should have been 100% complimentary). In retrospect- I should have politely excused myself and had a peaceful enjoyable lunch at Fogo de Chao in Naperville. Better service, food and comparable prices. :-( read more

We went for first time during Covid the food was OK. The hamburgers ordered medium well they came out as well cooked over seasoned and salty. My wife ordered the chicken in a can the chicken appeared like hospital mashed potato and chicken the chicken was not crispy nor did we taste any chicken and a beer so the chicken and the beer can was a disappointment. My wife ordered a Mojito Mojito with mediocre I had a IPA Beer which was ok the can was warm the mug was cold. This is not a restaurant I would not come to again. I must admit I had such high hopes for this place. It always smells so delicious when I drive by, the smell of grilling burgers on a nice summer evening. One night I was craving a burger, and decided to give this place a try. Since it was on the earlier side, I sat at the bar, and the service was definitely on the slow side. There was a rather large, obnoxious party sitting at the bar tables, sounded like some sort of office Christmas party, so the focus was on them. And boy, were they demanding. I opted to try the french onion soup (without the bread) and the burger (still bunless, still on that low carb lifestyle). Well, first of all, the waiter said they could make the soup without the bread inside. When I got the soup, lo and behold, the bread was there. But I was hungry so I just took it out. No biggie. My burger came out, the cheese was amazing and so was the bacon on top, but the kicker was... wait for it... the bun. Which I had asked kindly to NOT have. Which I kindly moved to the side of the plate. The look of disgust from said waiter was enough to almost have me wing that burger top at him. Just because you might not like or agree with someone's lifestyle choice (mine being low carb) doesn't mean that you openly express it in front of said consumer. The burger, however, was nice and thick, and cooked medium. The bar area is nice and cozy with booths and high tops, as well as the bar, and even a nice, warm, welcoming fireplace that was lit (hey, it is winter here). The price for the food I got was relatively decent. I would consider coming back to try some of their bbq but likely wouldn't sit at the bar, for fear of my bread shaming happening again. read more

Weber Grill is one of my all time favorites. We went for dinner at the Lombard location on Father's day with my parents, husband, three young daughters, and my brother. We did not have to wait a minute over our reservation time, even thought it was quite busy. We got VIP service and got to sit in one of their more private rooms with a view outside. The rolls and cheese butter are crazy good, and our waitress was really attentive. All of our meals came out perfectly, and everything was so delicious! They brought my Dad and husband drinks on the house and also got appetizers to try. We will definitely return for a special occasion or date night out! read more

Meh. It was just ok. The appetizers were tastier than our meal. My husband got brisket and I got ribs. The brisket just tasted like meat, there was no seasoning. Same for my ribs. And same for my dessert! I got the caramel apple pie and it was so bland. If I ever come to this place again, I'll order the Brussels sprouts. read more

This is my first time visiting (vacation) I had the crab cake meal it had grilled asparagus the sauce was great I asked for extra on the side. We were a large party and it didn't take long for them to accommodate us. Update! Update! Weber grill is totes veggie friendly. We ate in the bar here, now known as "Smokey Joe's", and indulged in their brand new menu items that include a number of veggie options. First off, is it just me or is all the staff here smokin' hot? Meowza! I'd come back just for the ladies. And if you're not into that sort of thing, you're still in luck because the food is on fire too! For an app I cheated on veggies with some Asian shrimp skewers that were phenomenal! the taste, the value, and the portion size were all right on point. The BF got "haute" dogs which are super cute, plump, mini hot dogs that you can choose to get with chili or without. He LOVED them. For dinner I did the build your own veggie burger with a pretzel bun, chipotle mayo, DeMill cheddar cheese, and hot peppers. The burger was delish! In fact, I scraped the crumbs off my plate it was that amazing . For dessert we got drunken brownies. It's brownie bites with holes poked in them, soaked with Guinness, served with ice cream, whipped cream, and a rum reduction. Twas heaven sent, I tell you. I can't wait to go back to this restaurant that I once thought had nothing for veg heads. I'm now a total fan! read more

When I want a well-seasoned steak with all the trimmings, I visit Weber Grill. I realize it's a chain, but I've NEVER had a bad experience there. The food is consistently great, perfectly cooked and tasty. The service is always top notch, and the pretzel rolls with cheese butter make my mouth water. When you hit those expensive Chicago steakhouses you never know what you're going to get. What you may think is a good cut turns out tough or burnt or dry. But at Weber they know the proper way to grill, and that's the proper way to my heart. read more

But after reading some of the reviews, I am both calmed that we are not alone and disheartened that so many others have had a similar terrible experience at this Weber Grill. I have been to this Weber Grill twice before and the first two times there was nothing exceptional about the food or service but it wasn't horrible. The food was mediocre and the service was nothing to write home about. This was a last minute decision to come to the Weber Grill to celebrate my mother's birthday. I should have followed my first mind and continued on to the Cheesecake Factory in Oakbrook-but I was swayed by another person in our entourage, and we regretted our decision. I informed the waiter from jump that we were here to celebrate my mom's birthday and that alone should have been enough to make sure we had a pleasurable experience. I was so pissed off by the food and service that I was irritable the rest of the night for my mother's birthday. The sides were small, sloppy, tasteless, and cold. I ordered chicken expecting a half of chicken-the breast and wing. I got dark meat and asked that it be taken back and exchanged for white meat. I never got my white meat!!!! WTH, Weber Grill. I let it go til the end when the waiter brought the bill to see if he had the nerve to charge me full price for only half a meal; he did. We asked for items that were never brought. Our waiter never introduced himself, was very inattentive, acted like he had better things to do or more important people to wait on than us. And toward the end just stopped coming to our table all together. By the time the bill came, I wanted to "scream and shout." Then our waiter acted like he couldn't even be bothered to bring our change back-like he was entitled to it. I left there feeling suckered into paying exorbitant prices for cold, tasteless, ill-prepared food. Please Weber Grill, if you are charging $45 for a steak make sure the steak isn't burnt and dry and it is prepared how the customer asks for it. I cannot stress how much the prices do not match the quality of the food. I have had 150% better food and better service at Friday's and had my whole bill total the cost of just one entree at the Weber Grill. The restaurant is really nice, we sat in the bar area b/c we were informed that there would be 30 minute wait for seating in the dining area-but honestly it didn't look crowded-but maybe people made reservations ahead of time. There was live music playing-which was fine-but we had to almost shout to talk to each other. We will not ever eat at this Weber Grill again. The food was overpriced, sloppy, and poorly prepared and the service was abhorrent. Get it together Weber Grill-you can't stand on your name alone! read more

Great dinner, everyone loved it. As soon as you get out of the car, in fact even before that, you can smell the fired up grills! Plus the photo op with the Paul Bunyan sized grill outside is worth the trip alone! Walking in you get a peek at some of the giant grills that your meal will be cooked on - some are charcoal/wood and some are gas - it really is fascinating to watch. The ambiance is like a casual steakhouse. Nice for a romantic dinner, but still perfectly fine for families as well. My hubby had the grilled chicken caesar salad (really??) - which was really good - the oldest and I chose the BBQ combo. Mine with meatloaf, and brisket, his with meatloaf and ribs. We both loved it. The meatloaf really was amazing - he tried to tell me mine was still better....please honey, I have had my own meatloaf, and while it is good, this was levels above - but it was sweet of him to lie to me! Little guy had the kids steak skewers - I was skeptical about how many steak skewers we would all be dining on that evening, but he demolished everything on his plate - which only happens at few establishments.
