My rating is for the service only. So it's my first time here, but the experience wasn't good. It was full house when I came in, and I didn't know what to do, like if I need to writing my name in the queuing list or what. The lady led to me to cashier counter for the menu, so I followed. Meanwhile one of the table was leaving, but two gentlemen came in and took the table, and she said ok. So I ask her nicely, where am I going to seat then? She led me to a working table. Ok, but she leaned on me to grab the placements without any notice. Then when my noodle arrived, I was only served with chopsticks, no spoon. The funniest thing was those two gentlemen who stole my table switched to another table after my food arrived. Oh also, they only accepts credit card if it's $38 or more, otherwise cash. Note, there's no labels or notes in their restaurant stating that. Aside from the service, the food was good.

A super small cozy restaurant that is located in the corner of a strip mall. They don't have many tables and their tables are pretty small. They have physical menus as well as a QR code to order online. We ordered the following: Chinese pork hamburger, cucumber salad, shredded potato salad, Srool chicken, and cold noodle with chili oil. The shredded potato salad and cold noodle were pretty disappointing. Both dishes were not cold, and were served warm. The shredded potato being warm was pretty interesting since I'm used to eating it cold but it wasn't terrible. The cold noodles being warm was pretty gross to me though. The warmness changed the texture of the noodles and I couldn't eat more than 2 bites. The chicken pork hamburger was pretty good and flavorful. I think my favorite was the srool chicken though. It looked like it was going to be spicy but it actually wasn't spicy at all. The total of our bill came out to be really cheap though. But I still probably wouldn't return to dine here again.

I'm always on the look out for new restaurants to try in SGV. My craving of the week was noodles, so I looked at various noodle places in the area. I saw this restaurant served Shaanxi style noodles, which I'd never had before, so I decided to give it a try. My wife got spicy soup noodles and I ordered stir fried handmade cumin noodles with lamb. The server was quick and response and explained the menu thoroughly. The restaurant itself is very small but clean. The food came fairly quickly. My wife's noodles were too spicy for me, even with one bite, but she loved the noodles. My cumin noodles are just slightly spicy and perfect for me, with a slight kick. I loved the lamb as well, which was tender and delicious. Solid restaurant for sure, and I would come back.

After visiting Xi'An literally 2 months ago, I knew my taste buds changed forever. I now cannot go a few months without a taste of their biangbiang mian or roujiamuo. This place is tiny, and is reflected by the small parking lot. I ended up parking on the street on a Saturday night. I actually found this place via xiaohongshu, and people wrote good reviews on there. Are they authentic? Yes. Is it reasonably priced? 100%. Would I come back? Definitely. If you come here, you order their 3 TOPPINGS SPICY NOODLE. All caps because it's their signature, and a signature dish of Xi'An. People who aren't giving this dish 5 stars definitely haven't been to Xi'An. This bowl of oily and spicy noodles transported me back to the historic city. The liangpi (cold noodles) was okay; the noodles were a little too thick for my taste, so the flavor was slightly washed out by the carbs. The roujiamuo (or Chinese hamburger) carried the scent you smell when browsing Xi'An night markets. The bread was alright, but the meat was full of flavor. Service is pretty good, although not typical to your ABC/american restaurant quality. That's how you know they are good. The noodles came pretty fast since I assume they make their toppings in advance. Apparently people got a problem with that, but w/e. They also carry a lot of drinks from China, so you're getting the full experience (even the water wasn't ice cold!). If you're looking for an authentic Xi'An noodle house, this is the place! Although it's called wen hui noodle, its Chinese name translates to Xi'An Hand Noodle (西安手工面). Will definitely be back and will definitely be recommending this place to my Chinese friends!

Small and cozy authentic Xi An food. Can't complain about the service and atmosphere was cozy. I love the Liang Pi. It's good for a solo lunch.

Anticipated hype for this xi'an place my friend said was super authentic just like how her grandma makes the food but must have came on a bad day. Soups were so salty!!!! Even when I recooked it doing a 1:2 dilution with water. The tomato dish had deliciously handmade noodles but sadly nothing could salvage the broth. The lamb soup dish I had just not a fan. The lamb smelled and tasted old, the bad meat taste was kinda over powering the dish. The cold noodle dish was top tier no complaints

Oh god, what a mistake! I ordered stir fried handmade noodle with brisket in tomato sauce. I did not like it at all. It was way too tomatoey with very little and tiny pieces of brisket. For $20 from UberEats, I will never order this again. I'm not sure how the other items taste but this was the only thing I ordered.

This small restaurant houses a northern xhinese restaurant that specializes in handmade noodles. I forget which province in China the cuisine is from. Not fancy with very few tables. Service was attentive. I was the only diner but I went at an off hour. I parked on the street. The food was tasty but not amazing. I love brothers Chinese food because the emphasis is on noodles not rice. Yum.

I was craving for some noodles the other day and I came across this restaurant on Yelp. After reading the good reviews, of course I have to give it a try. I ordered the srool chicken, three topping noodle with spicy oil and mutton stir fry. - Srool chicken: it was a nice portion size for dish. The spicy sauce is actually minimally spicy. It's mostly chicken soaked in red chili oil. The chicken was served lukewarm. Here's the interesting part, as I worked my way to the other end of the dish, it started to turn cold and the chicken tasted soggy?! That was the first red flag.. - three topping noodle with spicy oil: the noodle itself is pretty good. The individual toppings were alright. I usually like to try the topping individually before mixing it into the bowl. For some odd reason, the potato and egg with tomatoes were cold. I asked the server and she said the chef made it in advance and scoop it onto the bowl when order. Then she said that I'm supposed to mix the topping with the noodle so everything will be hot. Then she asked if it's my first time eating this kind of noodle. I'm like...excuse me @@ - stir fry mutton: at first, the server told me that they don't have mutton so they'll cancel my order. Then later she brought out the plate of stir fry beef that "I ordered" . This dish is alright. The amount of onions on the plate is ridiculously out of proportion to the beef. The beef itself is cut in different sizes and drenched in oil. I am not sure if it's an day when I visited but I think I'll pass.

This is a a lil' mom and pop shop tucked in the little corner of a small plaza. The lady running the shop was very friendly even though we had a language barrier. We got their cumin lamb hand cut noodles. This was delicious and HUGE. The texture was the perfect chew and it was LONG. This dish is always fun to eat when you're pulling the noodles because it doesn't break. The lamb were in smaller pieces and the chili oil was generous. I'd suggest to have that on the side and pour in by yourself. We also got the leek dumplings. The filling was perfectly balanced with the skin and flavorful. My friend said it was on the thicker side for her. I liked it because it had a doughier bite than most dumplings.

Delicious and cozy local spot. Service is super quick and easy! All the noodles are delicious and I would also recommend the lamb burgers. I love restaurants that feel like home and this really feels like a tase of Xi'An in LA.

If you want biang biang noodles, a la xi'an famous foods in New York, this place is for you! Better than the pop ups (that place in Culver City). Taste: Fantastic. I had the Cumin Lamb hand pulled noodles. I don't remember what the menu item is but it says like "jerky noodles" or something. Be sure you get that one because in the English menu there are two other different cumin lamb/beef options. Spicy, savory, not too salty. The noodles are perfectly chewy. The sauce is just right to coat the noodles. The meat is cooked right and not over done. I also had a Rou Jia Mo (pork- Zhou rou jia mo) and the meat was juicy and good. The bun was crispy on the outside and unlike some places, still soft and nice on the inside. Experience: I can speak survival mandarin, and I'd recommend coming with someone who can speak a little bit, or be prepared to pantomime. I've been here a few times and it just makes it easier to speak the language. Eating in is nothing special, but it's clean enough. I've also ordered from Fantuan, which was a fine enough experience, but the noodles are best eaten fresh. Mood Before/After: I was feeling a little tired, but this picked me up enough to get to the gym in the evening. Fullness: Absolutely stuffed What else did I eat/do today affecting my experience: I was in the garage today fixing up my car and I spent a long time doing a complicated task. This was kind of a reward meal.

    Angel M.

I really liked this restaurant. It's clean, neat, and most importantly has good food! Their noodle soups are lovely, good flavor and good noodles. My one complaint is that the roujiamo bread could have been a little fluffier. It was a bit too thin and dense to be a perfect roujiamo. The filling was great, very very very oily, but the taste was good.

For us, a black sesame roll (could be a snack or dessert), four orders of steamed pork siu mai, two orders of juicy pork dumplings (soup dumplings), and a beef chow fun with soy sauce dish totaled to a little over $55. Everything came out piping hot and packaged well for takeout. We only waited about 15min, which was not bad at all. We really liked the siu mai and beef chow fun. Both were savory and addicting. Siu mai was especially juicy and meaty; it definitely satisfied our dim sum cravings. Soup dumplings were ok - I found the wrapper to be doughy and the filling kinda plain. The black sesame roll had an interesting rolled look and a sticky, chewy, jelly-like texture. It tasted like lightly sweetened black sesame paste mixed into what seemed like a combination of mochi and agar. The small parking lot in the back is free. We got lucky finding a spot in the late morning, but when we were ready to back out after getting our food, cars were either circling the lot or waiting for someone to leave.

As soon as we received the text saying our table was ready, we immediately headed back. It took us less than two minutes to return and within the five minute grace period that was stated in the text. When we arrived, the first staff member said they would check on our table. While they were looking, a second staff member asked for the queue number and then claimed we were "late" and had already given our table away which was A LIE. We were still within the five minute window from when we received the text. It's completely UNACCEPTABLE to give away a reserved table before the five minute grace period. If your text says guests have five minutes, then honor it. Don't make up your own rules and seat another party early, then expect the original guests to start over by putting their name back on the waitlist. That's not only disorganized. It's disrespectful to those who followed the text instructions. What made the experience even WORSE was the lack of accountability. Instead of trying to resolve the mistake, the first and second staff member ignored us after telling us to join the waitlist again, seemingly hoping we would just accept it or leave. At this point my party was waiting for about close to 10 minutes and the two staff members we spoke to would look and not approach us. A third staff member stepped in AFTER we approached the cashier. They acknowledged the situation, and found a way to seat us by adding an extra chair to our booth. Staff number three was the only person who actually made an effort to fix the restaurant's mistake. Your waitlist system is meaningless if your staff refuse to follow it. Either honor the five minute grace period or stop advertising it. We shouldn't have to put our name in the system again because your staff decided to seat another party before the five minute grace period. This could've been avoided and REFLECTS POORLY on your service and staff training.
