It was drive thru only but I was happy with the meal. PURCHASE Dave's Double Cheeseburger w/Small Fries & Small Sprite Soda Combo ($8.69): A nicely-stacked burger, the pleasantries ended there. The meat was bland, the cheese wasn't melted, and the vegetable ingredients were minimal at best. There was nothing distinctive about the fries except a decent portion size. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Your basic fast food joint with a drive-thru, this was a small-medium tight floorplan with plenty of tables and chairs, the order line was poorly designed with the questionable placement, lack of space, and only one cash register with a highly-visible menu board hung above the counter. The usual food promos were nicely placed on the walls and tables. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the many large glass windows and doors while soul-sucking electric fluorescent ceiling lights filled the rest. From the looks of it, they were "homeless-friendly". There were no TVs nor background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Wendy's East Hollywood location was beyond disappointing for my first ever experience with this brand and would seriously need to be incentivized if I were to return again (I wanted to try a Frosty!). My food was lackluster which was being kind (and no onion rings!). The prices were comparable with other fast food chains, a mildly-varied menu, and the service in this case was aweful. Ya know how, in your mind, you just expect a good experience after seeing a commercial with juicy cut-to's and emmaculate dining room views? That's what makes you store subconscious TBD for the particular business. Then when you get to that place, it's a bit... off? Yeah. That right there. Good: Food is always freshly made day or night. You can always count on a good 4 for $4 or $5 Bag. I normally use the drive through but go inside when it's busy but it's still fairly just a fast as any other fast food joint. DOWNSIDE: The area is a bit rough ( but consider it still just good ole diversely-Hollywood). The issue I had today was the restroom-situation. While this restaurant is a good deal for the low-low meal, the homeless or should I say, our friendly-downtrodden comrades utilize their restroom for Lord knows what. I waited a good while. They lied about not hearing uber call their restaurant when I can hear the call going through and physically see them not picking up the call. Horrible service and liars working here. I am struggling and working as hard as I can 1am in the middle of the night, I even offered to pay for the food myself and he lied through his teeth saying he can't even though he just offered saying I could pay for it myself a second earlier. I didn't know there was a Wendy's so close to Children's Hospital. I was heading to this little Thai Restaurant and there was no parking. I noticed this Wendy's right next to it and of course they had parking. I parked and when we got down there was a guard at the side entrance door. He was standing there and as we got closer he opened the door for us. We went inside and there was not line. There was a lot of people at the tables, but there was still one booth available. My husband went to save the booth. I ordered the new bbq pulled pork sandwich for him. I made it a combo and got the pulled pork cheese fries. I got my usual junior bacon cheeseburger and a small chili. I took a bite out of my husband's sandwich and to be honest I didn't like it. He didn't like it either. I never throw away food so I saved it and gave it to my sister. For some reason we liked the fries. Oh, I did ask for different sauces. Maybe it was that. They have the smoky, spicy or sweet. I got the smoky for the burger and spicy for the fries. My small chili was plain. I usually get it with onions and cheese on top. This time the cashier didn't ask me and I forgot about it. I went to the counter and asked them for onions on the side and they gave me some. When we were leaving the guard was eating right next to the door. I assume he was taking his lunch. This is really unfortunate, as I don't like making this review, but I'm leaving this review, hoping that things can improve based on this. I never in my life had an issue with Wendy's until now. Last night, I went to the Wendy's drive thru at around 10 PM. I order two single burgers with cheese, and an order of fries. I arrive home, (which this location is a moderate distance from where I live) and I take the burgers out of the bag, and they feel ice, sub zero cold. The buns felt frozen, the cheese was not melted and was cold, and I noticed the meat patties were raw. I felt so disgusted and mortified over this, that I immediately threw the burgers away in the trash. The fries remarkably looked okay, and tasted fine. I thought about going back and explaining this to them, but I changed my mind. I'm instead writing this review. I find this unacceptable, and I ask that Wendy's can you please serve customers fresh and hot food. There was no reason for what happened to have happened, and that wasn't right. read more

While I am a big fan of Wendy's food this location does have a few problems. So let me get one thing out of the way, I really like Wendy's food and have never had any problems with the food here. Everything has always been really good and the food quality is definitely not lacking. HOWEVER, this location does have a couple of problems that I will go through. I personally would like them to improve because I do eat at this location pretty regularly. #1: The dining area has very limited seating. There have been several times where I have wanted to sit down and eat (I'm not a big fan of eating in my car) and haven't been able to find seating. And, it's not only that the seating is limited, but it's also pretty poorly laid out. #2: The dining area is usually fairly messy. Now, I didn't say "really messy", I didn't even say "pretty messy". I would say on a scale of 1-10, 1 being filthy and 10 being spotless it's probably right around a 4-5. So it is definitely not unacceptable, but it's just dirty enough that you notice it. So it's usually that the tables and benches need to be wiped down, or that there's some garbage left or some on the floor. So it isn't as though it's disgusting, but it is noticeable. On that note though, the staff is always really helpful and friendly so if you ask them to wipe a table down they're always happy to help out. #3: The register/counter/drink area is very poorly laid out. The problem here is that there is only one register, and there's only one line. So usually there is kind of a back up when you're ordering food and there can be a bit of a wait. ALSO, their is no drink fountain out in the dining area itself. So not only is there only one register but the cashier is oftentimes busy helping someone with a drink order, or getting a refill. THEN, when YOU want to get a drink refill you have to wait for that too! It's just frustrating is all. Normally I wouldn't rate a chain restaurant this low. Especially not one that I eat at as regularly as I do this Wendy's but this location has some problems. But hey, it's Wendy's and I keep coming back. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and it does have a parking lot, which is nice. Also, the drive through is really quick and efficient. read more

I came in here yesterday afternoon with my boyfriend. I was craving for nuggets and my boyfriend wants to try the Jr. Bacon cheese burger. So the cashier, Melo, she was very nice and patient to us when we're ordering. She suggest to try the strawberry lemonade so I got two and DANG!!! It was sooo good and very refreshing. She also suggest to get fries and some other stuff but nuggets, burger and strawberry lemonade complete our meal for the day. :) When we got our order the nuggets was freshly cook and very crispy!! We came here for their breakfast to try their new French toast sticks and it was amazing. The food was delicious and done really quick.. hardly any wait. The dining room and bathrooms were very clean. The staff also super friendly and helpful. Belem took our order and answered answered all the questions we had about the menu. I have lived in Hollywood for 70+ years now and have never really frequented Wendy's. Not because of the food, but just because they aren't as conveniently located as the chock-a-block MD's or Jack's or now I/O. Only aware of the one on Vermont near Fountain just by passing it on the way to and from the Sunset Nursery. Well now that I'm around Kaiser a bit more frequently now, (Did I mention I was 70?), I thought I'd try it.
