New to the area. Ordered the Shrimp Basket and Fish Tacos. Shrimp basket is extremely heavy on the breading for the fried items, french fries were average. Fish Tacos: oddest fish tacos we've ever had. They put one big slab of fish in the taco and LOADS cheese and other things on top; wayyyy too heavy on the toppings in my opinion. We are used to having fish tacos with fish in more manageable pieces (bits or slices). I ordered it blackened and the fish did not appear blackened at all. Flavor was ok but not amazing. We ordered 2 cakes: red velvet and double chocolate. Both were average tasting and the cake portion was a bit dry. Overall, an average experience. I love this place! It's quickly becoming a favorite spot and it's always busy so you know others think the same! I personally love that they make their dressings/gravies in house and their food always seems fresh. They're reasonably priced and I almost always have leftovers. We eat here at least once a week! The food is always good and really hits that's southern comfort level of yummy. The spinach artichoke dip we get every time, always! The fried cauliflower is amazing when they have it. The pimento burger is a usual order for us as well as the thyme friend chicken. A while ago they failed their inspection and we were very hesitant to eat here again however it has not disappointed us and I believe they corrected the mistakes. My only complaint about this restaurant is that they have daily specials and they don't always have something that you really want such as the fried cauliflower or the seafood dip and it may be on special on Tuesday but gone by Friday. They usually post the specials on Facebook but they're not consistent with it so you constantly have to call and ask what the specials are and that is annoying..especially when their a page long! There is no spacing between booths. Every booth filled back to back. Instead of spacing every other booth they have filled the restaurant full. I went in to order to go and shocked by seeing staff in food prep area with masks pulled down below their mouths. There were also people waiting for to go with no masks on and other customers walking to and from bathrooms with no masks on. I won't be back to this restaurant until they can take the CDC protocols seriously. We always enjoy dining here. The food is always good. There are many entree options and veggie choices. I can't say it's cooked from scratch - more like canned veggies that have been doctored pretty good. I gave it 3 stars because of our most recent visit. The tables and booths were a bit wobbly. The seating needs to be repadded. The wait area is not in a good spot because you can see the waitresses folding napkins around the silverware. They don't wear gloves. We were near by so I stopped at the fiber and saw the same nbr on curbside signs so I called again. 2 more times same message. I went in. One girl apologized while another went to talk to manager. 2nd girl came back and said the number works. No offer to take order or help and no manager either. Loved this place until today. They were busy and i understood that we would have to wait a while for our food. I am ok with that. They brought my daughters food out pretty promptly considering how busy it was. And then it took 40 minutes to get my sandwich and fries. This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Cobb County. Loren, the owner is awesome!!! She generally visits with the customers, unless they are super busy, in which case she helps the staff in order to insure people are served. I got a corn souffle on the side, which was slightly sour tasting. My husband got fish and chips, which he said were good, aside from too-heavy breading. We also tried the banana pudding. Sometimes that scares me because they try to dabble too much in too many things, but I haven't experienced that here! The food was good but the service was not. I sat at the bar and the place was packed at 11am. Clearly the bartender was overwhelmed. She was running around like crazy and very impatient with me placing my order. I finally decided to get my food to go so things would be drama free. I got to see the kitchen, and based on what I saw, I learned to never sit at the bar if I want to enjoy the food. I saw a waitress wipe her nose 3 times with her hand, brush her hand against her apron, and pick up lemon slices with the same hand for drinks. THE TONGS WERE RIGHT THERE! The tall female expeditor really had an attitude when she walked by me and I asked her to check on my food after A 15 minute wait. I watched as she handed the bartender my order, whispered something to her, and it was all downhill from there. The bartender brought the order, dropped it in front of me, walked off with my cc, came back and dropped the receipt in front of me with a pen, and walked off without saying a word. I had to ask for a napkin as she zoomed past me. She was definitely ready for me to leave. It's obvious they get very frazzled and customer service is compromised when they are busy. First time eating there on Saturday. Ordered online at 6:00 and was told it would be ready for pickup at 6:35 for curbside delivery. Arrived at 6:30 and called to let them know I was there per the instructions. I was told they were too busy to drop off and that I needed to come in to pick up. Went inside and there were at least 10 other people waiting to pick up (all super close to each other because there is little room at the entrance). There is no process on how to pick up your food. Servers were busy and snapping at people who were asking if their order was ready. The main response was "can't you see how busy we are, we'll let you know when it's ready ". So I waited and waited and waited, along with everyone else who placed an online or call in order. 7:00 rolls around, no food, no update. The manager smartly avoided going near the front where customers were starting to get agitated because of the lack of info in their orders. Anyway, I ended getting my food at 7:30. During my wait, 3 different customers who had picked up their food came back because something was missing. I understand if you're busy, but then adjust what time the food is ready for pickup so I can decide if I want to wait that long. They also might want to have their waitresses be a little more sympathetic to those customers that had to wait over an hour for their food. As for the food, I had the meatloaf and it was basically 2 meatballs. The sides were pretty good, corn casserole and Mac and cheese. I appreciate businesses being open during this time, but please have some semblance of order. If you can't handle customers placing online orders, then shut that down until you can. read more

I've eaten at this restaurant for years; however, if you are in a high risk category for COVD-19, I would not recommend this restaurant. I recently went to grab a quick bite at the bar. Absolutely, NO social distancing at the bar with 8-10 people next to each other and NO space in between. I asked the host when I walked in and I was told they all knew each other, which wasn't the case. Server behind the bar wearing a face mask but not keeping their nose covered. Cooks and food preparers not wearing face masks. A table of 7 senior citizens with inadequate space to a table next to it. They have some tables marked for none use but it's strictly for appearance as there are so many other COVID 19 recommendations that are not being taken seriously. read more
